When I was a kid, I had a turtle named Myrtle. I mean, is that clever or what? Myrtle the turtle.

I highly recommend Losing The Way. It's not only for Ex-Way people but for anyone who genuinely wants to know, "How could you have fallen for that?"

You're not missing much on FB. When you run into exwayfers, it's like being transported back in time. Lots of talk about believing and being "so blessed", yada, yada. Oh, and talk about how special (read:elite) the Way believers are. Lots of Wierdwilly worship, too.

Good point, cman. Maybe The Ark was not a physical entity but symbolic. Points like this are lost with the fundamentalist school of thought.

People who are still in that corrupt organization, defending it, posting about it on Facebook, actively "witnessing" about its greatness are willfully ignorant of the truth of how bad and evil TWI is. That's not ignorance, it's denial and self delusion.

See, here's the thing, Teach. Most people, myself included, just aren't interested in investing 51 minutes in a clip they know nothing about. It would be like a toothpaste commercial that just says "Buy our toothpaste. It's good."....Not enough information...know what I mean?

Hey Teach, what's your take on THIS one?

Poems, songs, plays, movies, novels can, if written skillfully, take on a depth of meaning and nuance that will vary with time, place, circumstances and background of the observer. Someone else may look at this movie and take away a message about morals or about life in a bygone era or the need to hold onto hope or a multitude of other things. It's really a timeless movie because the message is both clear and obscured at the same time. Some, too, may simply enjoy the theatric qualities of it. There's no right or wrong with these things.

I'll pass.

Didn't Gary Allen (well known conspiracy theorist/author of None Dare Call It Conspiracy) cover most of this ground in his popular 1970's books?

Three or four of his "kids" are in his band so that should help matters.
