  1. Is this it, Twinky?: waysider: "So, here's the thing. According to the CF&S class, you were supposed to think of all the women as you would think of your own sister. Soooo----When exactly were you supposed to start thinking of them as ..uhhh...something more than a sister?" johniam: "Remember, Adam and Eve's kids married their sisters (wink wink)." waysider: "It's kinda creepy when you think about it....ya know?"
  2. A few slight adjustments to the wording make a world of difference.
  3. Just like the green card says, "Increases harmony in the home". :(
  4. If you're believing for it to be airplane glue then it MUST be airplane glue. "Why...We'd have to change the laws of the universe for there to be any other result."
  5. Have you decided on a time zone?
  6. Advanced Class glue sniffing: Christ's glue-bag behind your glue-bag.
  7. You gotta have skin....it's the stuff that holds you in.
  8. Yes, but it was "spiritual" airplane glue.
  9. Knowledge can be cumulative. Wisdom is only momentary. It's what you do with your acquired knowledge at a given point in time.
  10. ....'nother think. If there is such a thing as spiritual wisdom, how does one "collect" it? Let's say, for example, that a group of 100 individuals took a course on boat building a year ago. Do they now have 100 years of collective boat building acumen?
  11. What the heck is "spiritual" wisdom? Is it wisdom about spiritual matters? If so, I would have to say their track record suggests they're in the red.
  12. Their biggest mistake was in trusting Wierwille to be the person he claimed to be and his message to be genuine. Wierwille knew it was a scam. That's why he understood how to work the system without getting caught. (IMO)

  16. You know he wasn't really a "Dr.", don't you?
  17. Not only 'preggies', your marital status was not allowed to change. (Applied to FellowLaborers, as well.)
  18. Whenever you were in line for some sort of "promotion" (class instructor, twig leader, grand poo-bah of the refreshment crew or whatever), your ABS history was always a critical factor in the decision making process. They just used the tax write-off thing as a smoke screen. Most people who actually made enough money to write off their ABS were too consumed with their careers to give TWI the sort of commitment that was required to move up through the ranks.
  19. Somehow, we've shifted from definitions to terminology, which is alright but, not really what I was thinking about when I started the thread. Everything in life has to have some sort of definition, for sure. In TWI, though, what were passed off as definitions were really someone's (mostly VPW's) opinion. "Well, Doctor'says word of knowledge is blah, blah, blah..."
  20. Can I get an Amen, Brother Squirrel?
  21. It was standard procedure in the early 70's, too, but, it was more discreet. In fact, your "abundant sharing" history was part of the criteria that was examined when you applied for entrance into the Advanced Class.
