  1. What about King Solomon? God gives revelation to King Solomon, which is good stuff. Later on in life though, Solomon engages in some of the most grotesque reprehensible idolatry that would make your hair curl. Murdering innocent babies.... that's a lot worse than anything our Victor Paul Wierwille ever did. God knew all this, yet He still chose to work with Solomon in his earlier years... And so do you throw out all of Solomon's writings because of his reprehensible behavior? Why did Jesus and God even bother with dealing with a murderer, that is my question...
  2. Rascal didn't you read what I just wrote? God used a murderer, Saul of Tarsus, to represent him. Murder is worse than rape. Surely God could have found someone else to represent him? Jesus even personally appeared to him as he was going to murder some more. You mean to tell me, God as big as He is, couldn't find someone else to represent Him?
  3. I haven't discarded the teacher. Sorry. And I am extremely loathe to having my braincells morphed into hating someone who took part in helping me and others understand God better. Discarding VP, to me, is like somebody helping me out with something, and the thanks I give is giving him/her a kick in the teeth. Not to mention the fact that Victor is a brother in Christ. You don't discard a brother in Christ. God hasn't discarded him. Did Jesus discard Saul of Tarsus when he was murdering Christians? Jesus appeared to Saul as Saul was about to murder some more. Murder them. Sauls actions were reprehensible, worse than Victor Paul Wierwille's; ... but that didn't make Jesus discard him, did it? Why didn't Jesus and God simply move onto someone else? Look, surely they could have found someone to communicate truth who wasn't a murderer? Think of all the families that Saul destroyed. Wasn't God and Jesus big enough to have found someone else? Folks, the simple fact is, God worked through and with Victor Paul Wierwille to communicate biblical truths, sins and all, and many folks got blessed because of God allowing this to occur. Those who try to spin it otherwise, well go right ahead, but you aren't fooling me.
  4. No real argument here. For instance, in an example about SIT, if one dislikes VP so much that they can't trust his books anymore, one may get the truth about SIT from The Gift of the Holy Spirit by J.E. Stiles. He led thousands into speaking in tongues. I just don't see the point of tossing out RHST, when it communicates the same basic ideas and truths from J.E. Stiles book.
  5. Personally, I think we'll have a rotating job schedule. After all, we have all of eternity. I'd be willing to clean toilets for a few hundred years under those circumstances, wouldn't you?
  6. I don't see anything in scripture or, as a general matter of good policy, tossing out biblical truths one has learned and retained for years, because the communicator of those truths was flawed and unethical. The bible says we are to "prove all things, hold fast to that which is good". That means if we learned truths from Victor Paul Wierwille, or L. Craig Martindale, Rosalie F. Rivenbark, we hold fast to them, irrespective of their screwups, or even of their good works! "Prove All Things, Hold Fast To That Which Is Good" I've been speaking in tongues for over 30 years now, a truth I learned from VP. I still speak in tongues much, and it does much good in my life. Spiritual edification, strenthening with might in the inner man, rest to the soul, praying for folks, even for those who may not deserve or warrant prayer. SIT is a proven truth in my life, something I cannot disgard, because it WORKs... Some other truths are: .... knowing one's sonship rights; salvation by grace; complete in Him... Golly, toss all those goodies out, and more? Not me.
  7. Welcome, S. Craig. Please post some more...things are getting somewhat boring around here.
  8. Did I say all was right in my world and nothing else matters? Take it easy Tonto... folks have varying experiences and we all don't think alike.
  9. The only time I can recall turning off my brain, as you will, and trying the "blind obedience" principle, was my six months in the corps. I considered it a challenge to do that... to test my abilities. But as a Joe Believer, if I had a problem with a certain doctrine (tithing, for example) I took it to the top. Didn't get an answer that satisfied me ... oh well. At that point in time, I pretty much stopped tithing anyway, because it just didn't make sense to me. I gave what I felt like giving, and was happy.
  10. There is no statute of limitations on felonies in Virginia. Statute of Limitations By State
  11. I still do, tho' probably not as much as I should.
  12. I guess I'd go with normal jail time. On the one hand, he did commit the rape and therefore should be punished for it. On the other, he admitted it and apologized, and if he has no other crimes on his record, should get a reasonable sentence under those circumstances.
  13. Good point Janny. Welcome, hope you stick around some.
  14. Yes. Nobody got this one yet? I thought folks would get that in a heartbeat.
  15. Yeah, my blood’s so mad feels like coagulatin’

I forward all of my fake paypal and ebay emails to: spoof@paypal.com spoof@ebay.com They say they investigate the fake emails when you do that.
  17. Rape was one of the allegations that was never proven in court. That's kinda what is nice about an actual trial ... the prosecution has a chance to prove an allegation, beyond a reasonable doubt. Until then, the defense is considered innocent, until proven guilty.
  18. Mex, I appreciate learning these things while in twi, as well. Here are a few others off the top of my head, that helped me lots: Learning that God loved me and forgave my sins Christ in You, the Hope of Glory Sealed with Holy Spirit As He Is Complete in Him Sonship Rights Palms of God You Are Righteous Now Biblical Truths: Get to Whom Correct
  19. djs, who gets retro retirement? Are you talking about folks who worked on staff for 20 or more years, who, because of the past legalistic policies, had to leave or were booted? Golly, it would be great if these folks, these long-time faithful staff believers, could get retro retirement!
