  1. twi's perspective/teaching is the best I've seen so far about why SIT is useful for the believer.
  2. You knew it all along didn't you? :) It was my mom's favorite movie and very close to being mine. I think I'll watch it once more.
  3. Teaching that sit is the proof that one is saved, is entirely different than teaching that sit is a requirement for salvation or implying that one isn't saved if one doesn't speak in tongues. Twi never taught that SIT is or was, a requirement for salvation. This is not a debatable issue. You are wrong. Period. If you won't admit your b.s. then there's nothing more to say other than you have zero credibility. Thanks Sudo.
  4. Anyone who was around twi for any length of time (and is of sound mind) can't get twi's teaching on salvation wrong. You may disagree, but can't err on knowing what is something so simple. Either that or, when one's mind gets so corrupted against twi, all matter of fantastic bullhockey enters in the trap door. Ya can't get this one wrong and you're not fooling anyone. Aren't there enough issues to condemn twi with without adding b.s.?
  5. The wikipedia biography skips over some details, yes, but at least it is accurate with what is there. In contrast, the religious tolerance.org site dmiller referenced is inaccurate on at least one point, not a small one, that of twi's teaching on salvation. Here's their quote: TWI implied nothing of the kind; they never taught that salvation is contingent upon speaking in tongues. In their condemnation of twi, they are fudging and bullspitting. This is not historical accuracy.
  6. "Never leave me out of your sight -- never again."
  7. Victor Paul Wierwille Not bad. Short and sweet.
  8. George what you need to do is RENT THIS FILM! :) Here is a song from the film: O Perfect Love
  9. I have a friend who races at Loudon and I go up there to watch the races. Next time I go will probably be weekend of July 29-30. I tend to stay away from rallies because they're so crowded, but I like Americade at Lake George. There, if you plan accordingly, you can test ride various brands of bikes as well as attend the Tour Expo. On Thursday June 9, it was raining for most of the day but I was able to test ride the Moto Guzzi Breva and Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Day before, I test rode the Kawasaki ZX-14 (perhaps the fastest consumer production bike right now) and the Victory Touring Cruiser. Nice bikes. New Hampshire is such a beautiful state. We went up there a couple of months ago and tried to get into Smuggler's Notch but it was closed due to ice and snow still up there.
  10. I am going away for the weekend so have fun.
  11. If you don't cry at the end of this film, your heart is made of cold stone. Gawd you folks need to rent this one. :)
  12. Adam masturbating while watching two women getting it on seems to fit pretty well, or am I being too carnally minded ?? :)
  13. I believe anyone who saw this film would get it right away. Clue: made in 1942.
  14. So sorry to hear about Scrappy. :( During my riding journeys, I also feel bad for all the dead animals on the roadside. Gets me sick. God bless Scrappy.
  15. If you haven't done so already, buy yourself a copy of, The Cult That Snapped
  16. To the best of my knowledge, for those who can't have their chosen symbol inscribed, they may have a word or phrase. When Dad died, we asked that a dove be inscribed on his gravestone at Calverton National Cemetary. Denied. But they did allow "Awaiting the Return". So we have that, and no symbol.
  17. If you are talking about corps, I opine that Wierwille took corps commitments VERY seriously and as you pointed out, was a commitment unto the death. So when someone left or waivered on that commitment, it was thought of as a cop-out. This is different from your Joe Believer of twig who came once a week and sang and drank coffee and ate cookies and that's all he wanted to do. You/we made a "commitment" to the ministry, and Wierwille held that commitment in very high regard and the breaking of it was consequential in his mind. He also viewed the ministry as the 1st Century Church in the Twentieth, so therefore leaving the ministry you were leaving Jesus Christ. This is nothing new, and not unlike many other religions. The religion of my youth was similar...
  18. Garth, how many times must you be told that this debate isn't about Dr. Wierwille's views? Is there something wrong with your comprehension abilities? He could have been wrong on this one too... and if he was.. he was wrong. But in the final analysis, this topic stands or falls on its own merits. Do you get it yet? Or is it impossible for you to talk about this topic without mentioning Victor Paul Wierwille? It's getting old, really. Anyway, I am going away on a motorcycle trip for a few days.. yeah! Have a great weekend and have fun. God bless, one and all.
  19. I read it, but was probably distracted by something Raf wrote. And now for Greasepot perusal, Part V of the "Holocaust 101" series:
  20. At this point, you may be correct Raf. You've made your position clear that the revisionist information is nonsense. Maybe it is. But I still think there's profit in posting varying information about this topic. No harm in reading other views, is there? Thank God we live in a free country, having the ability to read what is banned in some other countries. :o
  21. Here is the third installment of the revisionist "Holocaust 101" series. I mistakenly posted the fourth installment previously, thinking it was the third. Here's the third:
