  1. Zix, could you explain/expound what he means by this statement? How could Christ feel what we feel resulting from the consequences of disobedience, when He never disobeyed God? Perhaps I'm missing something.
  2. Hi Pat, I'm with you that we should study works of B.G. Leonard, Bullinger, Stiles, Kenyon. BUT they weren't around and didn't reach me when I needed to hear the Word...TWI was. We learned about them through TWI. The real issue is whether or not it's the rightly divided Word and that part that was was a blessing. That part that wasn't, wasn't. Still working on the Heavenly Sperm Bank teaching?
  3. If you haven't heard the Spongmonkey's opinion on this topic, I think it's worth reviewing: We Like The Moon
  4. Wayward, I remember during TWI-1 there were a few folks I knew who's spouses didn't accept TWI. The "believing" spouse went to twig, while the "unbelieving" spouse stayed home. The "unbeliever" was considered "sanctified" and it seemed like as long as the couple had an understanding with each other, it was ok. Seemed to work ok then. I wish these things were that simple.
  5. I was under the impression that the Way Corps rule was, if one wanted to leave or had to leave, the partner also had to leave? That's why I always found it exceedingly hypocritical why Donna Martindale got to stay at hq when Craig left.
  6. I agree with you on the marriages part...that's a good point because then you're not just making decisions based upon yourself, but someone else very special...
  7. Are you referring to your experiences in the Way Corps? The Way Corps people that I was involved with in New York didn't treat me like garbage, like your describing. Again I guess I was involved in a different ministry than you were. Or perhaps different time periods. I have very little experiential knowledge of TWI-2.
  8. This is another point where we disagree, Rascal. I think we could have left anytime we wanted. We did. I think we stayed, because we received benefits and blessings. When things became unacceptable, we left. Individual cases may vary.
  9. One of the things I never quite understood is why some folks feel that getting folks signed up for PFAL was an evil scam. What's evil about wanting folks to have the same knowledge of the bible you have? We thought PFAL was a great class that would help them, which was why we wanted folks signed up. Folks who didn't think it was a great class, acted differently.
  10. Hi Pat, so then what you're saying is, the reason why we decided to stay in TWI for 10, 15, 20, 25 years is because TWI taught us exact answers that made sense and we fully accepted, like how to get born again, dead not being alive, Jesus is not God, etc. etc.? I think I agree, although our conclusions are different.
  11. Zix, what's your opinion on the paramount impression I got that Christ "gave his life", as opposed to the Jews/Roman's taking it? Did the film make a good enough point of that?
  12. IMF, I must be missing something, who's her new spouse? Still a scam, since she was there all those years without Craig...
  13. One big scam in my mind are the poor Way Corps folks who went thru the program, earned their diploma, then later got hassled by Craig, Donna, Rosalie & Co. for not walking by their rules. Heck, you earned that distinction even if you want to go your own separate way. Another scam: why is Donna Martindale still at headquarters? All the Way Corp spouses who were asked to leave the Corps, or headquarters, because their spouse may have blown it, and she gets a free pass?
  14. What's your opinion on the paramount impression I got that Christ "gave his life", as opposed to the Jews/Roman's taking it?
  15. He'd make another fortune...imagine prequels and sequels on this topic...
  16. Perhaps I'm missing something, but I didn't get the reason why Mary mopped up the blood after the scourging. Can't find it in that 199-page link.
  17. I just bought a Panasonic DVD Recorder that was on sale for $479.00, regularly $539.00. I heard somewhere that by the end of the year, these things might be had for around $200.00. I also can tape all the movies I want from my cable company thru their premium service of online movies. It costs a little more per month but I think it's worth the extra expense.
  18. I thought Mel did a good job of conveying, in various scenes, that Christ "gave his life" for us. Although the torture was at the Jews insistence, and the Romans doing the dirty work, Christ could have curtailed it at any time if he wanted to. Instead he chose the torture. WOW, what a Master!
  19. WOW, what a terrific film for someone who wants to have a greater appreciation for Christ's sacrifice. Highly recommended!
  20. Here's the page that Goey mentioned: "...there was literally physical sexual intercourse between The Holy Spirit and Mary..." Look Under "Reinterpretation of the Bible"
  21. The Way denies "salvation by grace" CARM, line 3 "doctrines"
  22. This is part of the Greasespot experience. If I say something nice about TWI, someone may discredit what I say, to make TWI look bad. Same method. It's all part of the experience. Perhaps we should move onto some new business.
