  1. TO ALL WIERWILLE HATERS: Grizzy is correct. Please begin your threads on evenings (after 5:00 pm.) and weekends so that you may enjoy unabated and uninterrupted Wierwille condemnation. Thanks.
  2. You're both assuming that a person's evil works, or sins, defines them as a false prophet and that's the end of the story. That's your belief, your opinion. how does anyone know Wierwille's good works were motivated by evil? are you the Amazing Kreskin?
  3. Tom, and when one takes all the evidence, both good and evil into consideration, what may one conclude?
  4. The very first verse kills your thesis. You're saying Dr. was a false prophet and teacher? No way. He taught folks the exact biblical teaching on how to come to God thru Christ, our lord and saviour, and other biblical goodies. And when did Wierwille ever deny Jesus Christ? Again, I would suggest that when all you focus on, all you deem that has any meaning, is a person's evil deeds, you come to irrational and biased conclusions.
  5. Hi Pat, I dug up all the Way Mags. from December 1972 which was my earliest all thru the end of 1974. Also looked in some from 1975 and 1976. Not there. Judging from Raf's quote, it sounds like something that would have been said well before 1973. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Question: as part of the lawsuit, can't you get TWI to produce all of the pre-1976 Way Magazines?
  6. Evan, let's not forget that Dr. Wierwille learned from men of God scattered across the continent. That means his teachings should be understood in that light. There's still lots of goodies in PFAL and other Wierwille books, despite his inappropriate conduct.
  7. Yes Pat that helps a little. I'll see if I can dig up what you're looking for.
  8. Apatheia Unbelief I refuse to travel 1 1/2 hours to go to church.
  9. Here's another $$$ sale, sadness for those who threw away their set... PFAL books
  10. Oakspear, I'll take a stab at why. I think two reasons: political and financial. Victor Paul Wierwille"By The Way" -- St. Mary's Evening Leader Sept. 26, 1980 I would add that another reason why he had these books was religious, wanted us to know or at least be aware that the Jews are not "God's Chosen People" and that even the Jews must go through Jesus Christ to come to the Father ...
  11. laleo, thanks for your thoughtful assessment, and your realization that what i said isn't, or wasn't meant to be, blame-shifting.
  12. Wonder 1, I don't think I'd have a problem going to a local fellowship if there were one by me. But I think the closest one to me is around 1 1/2 hours away. Too far. If I went to check it out, I wouldn't send money to hq, but I'd be happy to contribute fine coffee and twinkies.
  13. As I remember I too was in bed, and a family member called me from hq, saying Dr had died. I then called my tc, who already knew about it since she was corps. I'm glad he was there to teach God's Word. I have a greater understanding and appreciation of the bible; and some things just make a whole lot more sense than what I was previously taught. Principally three things I guess: salvation by grace, Jesus Christ is not God, and dead are not alive now. He was also a man who did harm to folks, as we all know. I think of him as a Christian man who did both good and evil. I think he realized this, and put on his gravestone sort of a self-deprecating reminder for everyone to see and remember. I see God having mercy on him, as on all of us.
  14. Oakspear, I don't think I ever tried carp so I can't even be full of it. How do you get italics in your quote, buddy?
  15. But why would you want to hang out with anyone from twi now, anyway? you think they're involved in a never changing, mind controlling, abusive cult that you have nothing but contempt for, right? (please correct me if I'm wrong, I wouldn't want to falsely accuse you of anything, thereby lying). maybe they realize things aren't the same between you, don't want to argue with you and just figure it's best to move on?
  16. Thanks Steve. The italics didn't work, that's ok.
  17. Ok fine. But then there's the new poster, Wonder 1, whose post, a momentarily varying reprise and opinion, was promptly carved up and cubed like diced ham. Oops, I should not distract from the task at hand, the warnings about twi evildoers. "TWI has no power over you except that which your actions allow." P.S. could someone PLEASE instruct me how I may have the above magnificent quote added to my posts without retyping it all the time? Pretty please? Garth ol' buddy?
  18. Tom I too know what it's like to be hurt, abused and wounded, and when it comes to posting, I believe there shouldn't be any untouchable gender-based sacred cows commanding greater victim status than others. As Excathedra would say: ROF "laughing my a$$ off"Sometimes I think GS is like a soap opera. You know, like leaving it for months, come back, and one is exactly where they left off. Try it. Come back in 6 months and see if there's any lull in the relentless one-sided condemnation of Wierwille and twi. Must be something in the nature of man to want to perpetually crush and pulverize a dead horse. "TWI has no power over you except that which your actions allow."
  19. Wonder1, thanks for your opinion. Unfortunately, since it doesn't harmonize with the accusitive finger-pointing, perpetually accentuate-everything-evil about TWI mindset of some posters, it really has no value here. Maybe some, put it'll be squashed soon enough. Hey buddy, don't let the door hit your butt too hard upon your departure. "TWI has no power over you except that which your actions allow."
  20. Tom, I've gone through many hurts, disappointments, wounds, in my life, so yes I've lived through them. I just don't wallow in them and perpetually think and talk about them; they're history. Regarding having compassion, I can't stress this enough, but again I'll mention, that this website is available to post opinions. If folks can't take certain opinions I have without getting hurt (I think that's bogus, but assuming it's there), then perhaps one shouldn't, as they say, stay in the kitchen. I would LOVE for some posters to take a breather from their perpetual condemnational finger pointing of Wierwille's misdeeds and think from other perspectives. Some won't do it, refuse to, some even cite scripture as their justification. Ok fine. But those words hurt folks who read them, many of them who never post. Ok, assuming then that posts hurt folks, maybe we should all have some compassion and should all be quiet? maybe that's the answer... "TWI has no power over you except that which your actions allow."
