The offshoots in their own way have tried to keep the baby, and throw out the bathwater. VPW learned great things from B.G. Leonard. He kept what he believed was truth, but abandoned what he thought was error. Same deal with the offshoots. There were many great teachings and loving traditions of true Christianity in TWI, and hopefully those things will remain.

Belle, you weren't around when TWI-1 was blessing folks bigtime. Thousands of folks got involved because of the blessings of God. Not some. Thousands of folks. I think God worked thru VPW, sins and all. When VPW was walking in fellowship with God, he was a great blessing. When he was out of fellowship, he was a s.o.b and hurt folks. I think that sums it up.

He once lived in Pittsfield, MA with his wife, but that was years ago. Have no idea where he is today, does anyone? :)-->

M.D.V.: One point to bear in mind that helps me being here is that some folks suffer from an incurable Personality Disorder disease called "I Can't Stop Thinking and Speaking Evil About TWI and the BOT" Once you know who these folks are, it's easier to cope with being here. M.D.V.: I have a couple of major problems with PFAL, first "law of believing" as suggesting that everything that happens in your life is because of your believing, either positive or negative. Wise folks know that's not true. Also have a problem with "tithing for prosperity". Prosperity doesn't hinge on tithing. Other than those two, PFAL has lots of goodies, eternal truths that we believers can retain to greatly help us through life. Do you still speak in tongues?

M.D.V.: It will be interesting to note if anyone from the Way reproves you for being on Greasespot. With respect to mortgages, it was already mentioned that your average Joe Believer in the Way can have them -- but leadership can't. There's the rub. Do you know of a family coordinator who has a mortgage? Do you know of someone who has a mortgage who was able to attend the new advanced class?
