  1. Smurf, what you describe seems like the exact opposite of believing. Sort of like mental assent. Maybe even tempting fate. If my vehicle doesn't function properly, believing to get it fixed means getting up off my rear end and going to the shop to get it fixed. Gee, I thought that was pretty clear in twi, but I suppose some folks didn't get that part either.
  2. The lawsuit is ludicrous. Yeah, maybe we should all sue them for all our ABS money back. -->
  3. ex70'shouston, have you tried marriage counselling? Sounds like you really need it cause you don't like your wife anymore and maybe she doesn't like you either? Go get professional help.
  4. Welcome to the Spot, TaylorCompany! Regarding your relatives, I think it's their decision and you might do well to just accept it. But invite them to Greasespot Cafe and see what happens. Maybe they can be reached enough to ask some tough questions about their upcoming commitment?
  5. Not that there is any additional proof needed, but the fact that so many folks left twi of their own volition proves that deprogramming was never necessary to begin with. You had a few parents who took matters into their own hands and violated the constitutional rights of their own children. That simply stinks. Deprogramming was/is the criminal act of kidnapping that was/is always wrong. I love the stories told by Del Duncan in "The Cult That Snapped" about his rescue team.
  6. Dave, when I come over, I'll bring with me a bottle of Penta that's been lying around for months. Be interesting to test that one for oxygen content.
  7. Evil spirit powers do exist. Right before we got in the Word, some of my family went to a lady who was a fortune teller. She had a familiar spirit, though we didn't know it then. She was telling us stuff about our family that she had no way of knowing otherwise.
  8. Glad the adversary didn't squish you, Horse O' War. Keep on galloping
  9. Rottiegirl, I saw all that. Pretty convincing evidence, if you ask me.All this accusatory rhetoric from the Roman Catholic church and their adherents, calling this murder and calling us executioners and all, is yet another reason why I rejoice leaving them a long long time ago. They were false accusers then, and they're false accusers now. They control me no more.
  10. I heard on the news that for the first couple of years after this happened, Mike was seeing to it that she was getting the best prospects for rehabilitation, and it went nowhere. Somewhere along the line, he was convinced that medically, the situation became hopeless. That, and what he said about Terry not wanting to live like a vegetable, probably led him to what he believes today. He had to prove in court that she is a vegetable. Proven by legitimate doctors that she's a vegetable. Has no working brain, has no human life of any significance or hope, outside of a miracle. I'm not saying that, unbiased doctors who examined her say that.
  11. mstar1, I'm with you. I get the feeling the parents are the selfish ones. Come on let's get serious, we see the images on the screen and that woman doesn't have any kind of a life at all... it's all about fulfilling the wants of the selfish parents. Watered Garden, if it was all about money, ol Mike would have accepted the $1 million donation from that man who offered it in favor of keeping Terry alive. It's not about money, otherwise he'd be a millionaire right now.
  12. Jim, I desperately need to verbalize my feelings and emotions. YOUR SPELLING SUCKS Happy Holly Thursday
  13. David, Do you still abide in Novelty? According to Mapquest, that's only 470 miles away from me, or 7 hrs. 35 minutes actual driving. With stops, probably around 10 hours at most. Heck, the headquarters drive for me was like 625 miles or 12 or so hours, so this is a definite improvement.
  14. Well, they lost the Civil War, for one...
  15. The IRS just said that more than 3 million returns have been processed so far this year using the new Free File programs available on its Web site, www.irs.gov. "Those who file paper returns are now in the minority", IRS Commissioner Mark Everson told an audience at the National Press Club in Washington. Hurry and get those returns in, filing deadline April 15.
