Most sickening. Thx for sharing.

YW, and thanks for sharing.

Yes. Rocky and WordWolf hit the nail on the head... my good friend is my "Mother in Catholicism" who I thank for and encouraged me to go back there after decades. I was baptized catholic... as a youngster participated but then broke with them when my parents split.. sorry for the confusion.
-
Can you share what happened? Yes. It was powerful. So powerful that I use it today with my Catholic "mother in Catholicism" who encouraged me to go back there.
-
Yes. A great friend of mine, now deceased, was once a staunch catholic, an altar boy too, but because of actions of priests he experienced through the years, was chilled away. And of course we know those who've been hurt in TWI. Some leave the faith, and some stick with it. Who is right? Who knows? Jesus have mercy on our souls.
-
I believe we did manifest the power of God in TWI but of course the gifts/ manifestations were up to the individual believer's own faith and action demonstrating God's gifts; then whoever saw the fruit would see the confirmation of that truth. To confirm miracles in TWI were genuine, has to come from the individual believers' own experiences and not hearsay. I've heard of a couple of things but the most telling were my own experiences. It must always be remembered that these experiences are gifts from God the Father Almighty, at God's option. Yes we believe first, but still is God's option to bring it to pass. These experiences are evident in faith-based churches and even charismatic Catholic churches. Regarding laying on of hands, prayers and healings: the catholic church close to where Iive would put TWI to shame how aggressive they are.

Inclusion must have its limits otherwise it tends to do the opposite of what it's designed to do. Example: "Lia Thomas".

Yes it was. Another high note of compassion was the gambling boss who could have cleaned him out but instead let him have his money back.

This was rare for Twilight Zone episodes... pure thoughtfulness, affection and empathy for the feelings of one's spouse. I hope you watch it someday. One other treat of the episode that hopefully won't spoil it for you: they lived in a time when the govt abolished credit cards... everything had to be paid in cash!!
-
That's a good one, thx. Here's one that I find powerful from of all places the Twilight Zone, from the episode "The Trade-Ins". "From Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet: "Love gives not but itself and takes not from itself, love possesses not nor would it be possessed, for love is sufficient unto love." Not a lesson, just a reminder, from all the sentimentalists in the Twilight Zone."

Got it, thx.

I like using both cash and credit cards for purchases. In fact, I try to use credit cards even more because of the rewards. But lately I'm seeing more self-service stations with cash seeming like the least popular or convenient way to pay. Cash is more of a hassle to use at a gas station. And at a local Aldi, they replaced most everything with self-service lines now. I may still use credit cards but want to retain the cash option. Your thoughts? All comments welcome.

How do you define anthology (book) worship?
-
Yes. This is what I surmised in an earlier post, i.e. the written Word aids and helps and directs us to worship Him.
-
I'm hesitant to accuse someone of worshipping a book and especially the Bible. As old Craig used to say "it depends on the mindset of the person making the decision" and unless God tells you what's inside someone's heart and mindset, how can someone know for sure? Then there's the declared truth that "God is the Word" and that includes the written Word (given by the Holy Spirit). Written words represent thoughts, so one may surmise that the written Word HELPS one worship the true God rather than hinder; and is a direct aid to worshipping God. We all know the verses, including the one from David "thou has magnified thy Word above all thy name."

Saw this news piece today. Haven't decided what to believe about it yet but am curious as to your thoughts on it. All comments welcome...

An early comprehensive Roman Catholic missal? When I say that to protestant believers they may laugh and not believe it but the Word is written there. But don't believe me, go ahead and please buy one and read it for yourself. It's not good to believe everything bad you hear about the RC church... don't get gypt.

Would love to but the details are political and I think the back and forth would then violate GSC rules. But you can google it if you like. Ask for "trouble with social and emotional learning" and so forth.
-
Without getting into the details, SEL is what's happening in today's govt schools. I think the kids are getting brainwashed.
