When it comes to truth, I believe exactly the opposite. I believe one should apply the biblical precepts of "hold fast that which is good" and "retain with conviction the faithful word". Then the truth one once received will never be stolen. :)-->

Here are a few others:being able to pick up a bible and actually enjoy it; good biblical comprehension; God is light, in Him is no darkness at all; believing that the dead are dead awaiting the return; believing that abortion isn't murder; believing God and Jesus are two separate entities (although I believed this before twi biblically confirmed it)

Oh really?I trow not :)--> True, in my case it wasn't by the man himself. But by his ministry, no question. It was the ministry of Victor Paul Wierwille that inspired me to get born again and speak in tongues. It was no mirage, no hoax. :)-->

My exact condition was pretty messed up. Hungering and thirsting for answers as to why I was on earth. 17 yr. old male crying, blindly (as though in a dark room reaching out) asking God to tell me what it's all about. Just so happens there was a twig fellowship right upstairs in the apartment directly above ours. The rest is history. :)-->

I don't know if I was born again before twi, as I grew up Catholic. I believed there was God and Jesus, but I had many many questions. I knew ZERO about SIT before twi. Never even heard of it. :)--> VPW said occasionally that if the churches were doing their job, there would never had been any need for twi. Taken in that light, I believe those of us who really got involved with twi and stayed, had genuine needs that got met. Why else were we there so long? I suppose there are exceptions to everything, but it just doesn't make sense to me that those who stayed for years weren't receiving blessings from God thru fellowshipping with us. :)-->

Apples & oranges. But for all I know maybe they did teach the accurate word on getting born again, I don't know, I didn't follow their teachings. Don't know much about Jones. VPW taught that those disciples were murdered. Wouldn't surprise me if they were. I do definitely believe this: No matter how wierd Koresh was, those disciples were murdered by the govt.
