  1. This is still America. Folks are allowed to worship God how they choose, at whatever location they choose, and irrespective of a group's past. Wouldn't you agree?
  2. There was no evidence whatever that he did. On the other hand, there was plenty of evidence (as exposed by The Rules of Engagement) that it was the FBI team that did it. Did it with CS gas. Did you watch the DVD? It's all on tape.
  3. Nah that wasn't the verse. It was a verse that suggested that once everyone heard the word, then the Lord would return or something like that. I wish I could remember it.
  4. That's exactly the way I feel about folks still in twi as well.
  5. I do remember something like this, but if memory serves, it wasn't "word of the world", it was "everybody hearing the word", something like that -- and there was a verse of scripture that we used to back that up, but I can't find it right now.
  6. A twig fellowship in every town and community.
  7. Don't know if me getting involved is the answer, probably not. But change is still possible nevertheless. May take a long time. I do prefer to think in positive terms, rather than pray for twi's destruction. I'm reminded of these verses: Happy Weekend, one and all!
  8. Because you are brainwashed silly.
  9. Thanks for those examples...But I still would like to see twi succeed if changes are made. I admit I have mixed feelings about this issue. Sometimes I feel that twi should be around because who knows who they might help who needs it. On the other hand, I feel like it wouldn't hurt if everyone left and moved on, especially to the offshoots. Lots of the same good doctrinal teachings are part of the offshoots, but without the ungodly doctrines and the history of the abuse.
  10. Hundreds and probably thousands have challenged them on the adultery issue, but were asked to leave? We learned from "The Cult That Snapped" that Ralph D. did when he asked Craig to knock it off. We know John Schoenheit made an attempt when he wrote the adultery paper, but then was fired by Chris Geer. But these incidents happened many years ago...like almost 20 years ago. Are you aware of any recent attempts? Should be made from folks who don't want to see the ministry destroyed...but from people who would like to see it change for the better. Maybe there is room for some godly change now ... I prefer to be optimistic and leave that possibility open, unless proved impossible.
  11. Jkboehme, just because Craig was wrong about many things, doesn't mean he was wrong about *everything*. I attempt to live by the statement, "eat the fish, and spit out the bones". Anyway, most of us were out of twi for years by the time this happened, so who cares what Craig said about it? You may want to view the DVD "Waco the Rules of Engagement". Don't know if it was the same documentary you saw on television, but it leaves little doubt about what really happened. Those people and children were deliberately murdered. No mistakes. It wasn't an accident...
  12. My apologies...I read over Ricky's posts and realize that he is no longer in, same as me; so I shouldn't have asked Ricky to do that. Somehow I thought he was still in...sorry. As far as someone like *me* doing it...i'm out of there. Ideally, it should be folks (not one but many) who have enough boldness and guts to challenge the existing doctrine on adultery and not afraid to be asked to leave, if rebuffed. If enough people do that it might cause a commotion for good. I just wish they'd invite me back
  13. It was coverups like the Branch Davidian murders (they were murdered by FBI agents in response to the BATF agents getting killed as the Davidians were defending themselves) that leads me to believe that it's entirely possible that the Jim Jones affair was covered up as well. For those who haven't viewed it yet, the film "Waco The Rules of Engagement" might interest you.
  14. Ricky if you are still around... I believe twi can be reformed from within, just like the Roman Catholics did it with their church. It's possible. And you can start off simple. Perhaps you might want to go on a crusade of sorts, a mission ... possibly be the champion of a cause that has been extremely distressing to lots of us ex-twi folks, and that is, the adultery issue. Fight for it to be taught accurately according to the word... Let it be known that twi needs to teach this issue accurately and honestly. Lots of the hurt experienced by ex-twi folks came from that one issue alone, and so if twi keeps teaching erroneous doctrines in that category, folks will continue to get hurt, especially new folks. Think about it.
  15. Belle, I had no idea you thought this way about the offshoots. We agree on this point. Like the offshoots? I think they've eaten the fish, and spit out the bones. :)
  16. Bye bye McDonalds. Bye bye Crispy Creme.
  17. Come back little Ricky, come back... :D I wish more folks like Ricky would come here and share.
  18. I must admit, I love conspiracy theories. :P Have you heard the new one about Marilyn Monroe? She didn't commit suicide. Someone broke open 30-40 capsules of Nembutal, dissolved that in water, put it in an enema bag, and administered it to Marilyn Monroe rectally while she was unconscious from chloral hydrate. Read all about it in the December 2005 issue of Playboy. She also was planning to remarry Dimaggio...READ ABOUT THAT HERE and in Playboy.
  19. Don't know where LCM got his info. from but it could have been from John Birch Society. They've done some pretty extensive research on Oklahoma and have come to some conclusions that are hardly reported in the media. You might want to check them out here: New American On Oklahoma Bombing
  20. In my case they didn't.I don't blame them for dismissing me, but to say they "always" fought for people to stay in is false. Hey, there's a NEGATIVE about TWI!
  21. Belle, you and Bliss might think so, but some of your opinions about this website are inaccurate. This site is about a lot of things, but the "about the way" forum is about folks sharing their thoughts, opinions and experiences, both positive and negative, godly and ungodly; not "all about showing the negatives." If you want an example of a website that is "all about showing the negatives", ask me. :) A lot of blood sweat & tears went into earning those WOW pins and I'm proud to have two of them.Rascal I don't think you are an idiot for going WOW , far from it and the exact opposite; but it's sad you now choose to greatly disparage a time in your life when you chose to share with others what God did for you.
  22. Yes. Not out WOW, but when I was in the 6 corps (sometime around Sept. 1975), early on had to have my wisdom teeth pulled. Complained about the pain, teeth got infected...so Craig authorized me going to the local dentist to have them pulled after taking medication for the infection. TWI footed the bill. Way Corps fund I guess.
  23. Jkboehmem, can't you type with larger print, I can't see.I can sum up your gobbledegook in three words: "Victim Mentality Propaganda". Or in other words, "Portray the leadership as monsters, while portraying everyone else as helpless victims." or how about C-R-A-P relaxation induced anxiety via continued glossalalia? .... please gag me.
