  1. Chockful, I would answer them, but honestly I am not 100% sure I do believe God is a trinity.--A family--I do think it CAN and for me WAS another Jesus. No resemblance to what I know now. On the rest--I don't know. If I were to describe my quandry--or struggle---I would be at a loss for words. Glad I made you laugh though.
  2. Arod-well, I will refrain--He could win the batting title this year but his average with RISP stinks. At this time of year that is all that counts basically. For the money he gets . . . .he needs to be batting better than around .200 with average RISP. That has always been the knock against him this time a year. Girardi is resting his "Clutch players" now and he is just going to end up with rested players in the off season. Should we give him a call--Nope! :) It is funny, I can remember exactly where I was when I heard the Yanks got Arod. I had just gotten my teeth cleaned and was on the overpass out of Worcester headed to 180. LOL the whole world was coming to an end. Theo should have made a deal for Belte earlier. Kazmir is still a great pitcher and their best over all. Slump or no slump--I think he will turn it on. I too like where Boston is--especially after Lester's latest stellar performance--Dice-K can't seem to lose. No matter how many times he walks the bases loaded Heck, they could bat Pedroia in Lowell's spot if they needed to--moving Crisp up. I am loving it. Nomar came off the DL and hit a game winning HR last night--it is getting good!!
  3. Brushstroke, Well, I appreciate your effort--and yes, not the "Popular" stance--I should know! LOL But, I too draw a distinction between not having all your t's crossed and i's dotted and flat out rejection of Jesus deity. That God looks on the heart is what I think as well, because we are without excuse. The Trinity--It IS an important doctrine. terminology to describe God's activity within Himself and within the world, they used this terminology because it was the only way to explain their belief in the Father and the Son and the Spirit as God, without falling into a strange sort of polytheism, and also because it explained most clearly what the Church experienced in its worship and saw in Scripture. I see the Trinity as more than just a compilation of philosophical formulas. It explains the experience of a God who not only loves, but is love, and contains love and is the source of love: God loves because He is a family. So the Trinity is a divine perichoresis of love between the three Persons, and God's infinite love expands from within Himself to across the whole of His creation. I loved the way you explained that. . . . it is how we describe Him, a word--it is just a word used to describe Him. In all His glory! It is amazing compared to what I knew in TWI. I did not just flat out deny the trinity-I rabidly defended Dynamic Monarchism. God is merciful to be sure. It is a sensitive subject here--as I have learned and I now am remembering much. God is able. If you google "The Way International another Jesus" There are many great articles on this. A few with an more indepth look at the history. Either way--I know He is able to save to the uttermost and my faith is in Him--so many wonderful people really sought the Lord--got lead astray and are finding their way out. I am in their corner--God is not limited. ABBY, You and I agree!!! Nice Post--it is a journey and He will lead us.
  4. Sorry about the tick--they are so icky!! Sheff makes Manny look like a boyscout--(Badboy)he has a menacing batting stance. Washburn? There ought a be a big fight over him. Yankees should grab him-unless they really have written the season off. Or the White Sox-who lost Vasquez. I tell you what. . . . I should run these teams or at the very least MLB. LOL Delmon Young --has he found his power stroke or is it a fluke? Texas --yes scary line-up. I never really paid attention to more than Kinsler and Hamilton(Cause he is a really good guy) Good for him BTW!! Hope all went well. I am stumped on their pitching as well?? Wasn't Nolan their pitching coach before?? If they get that together and keep playing like the other night--thay may have an outside chance-especially if the yanks continue to collapse--they are now booing(Hamburger Helper gloves) ARod I always call him that for 04 division playoff when he tried to slap the ball down. Bush League! I agree--the schedule may favor us a bit. My Dad had a chance to try out for STL once. Never figured out what happened--he doesn't say. If only. . . . . I could have been a baseball brat!! He could have been playing with Yaz instead of taking me to see him.

    Cat whispering

Thanks--they licked it off the finger. I will pass this on, but Marmite is not a big seller here. I have it for my nieces when they come from GB--they love it on toast. I still think it is inspired!
  6. Thanks Tom, Sometimes I just wonder if I missed something--like with Dunn and Byrd. Early game yet--after last night--I make no wagers-LOL-still loving that game. It just doesn't get more fun, AND. . . . I have a new found respect for Texas. Hiway I so agree--let's have some tension and drama this year! Makes life good!!
  7. Even Damon said they are running out of time--Johnny we miss you. It took a few minutes last night to figure out who was the pitcher of record! Tom, With all of Texas's pitching woes--why weren't they all over Byrd? For that matter, ANYONE I have a question. Something I don't get. Why weren't all the other teams in contention(With the exception of the Angels) after him. What did I miss here? Twins could have sent Boof down--Texas could have traded it's entire starting rotation for him. :) Said nicely. Since the break--it seems him and Johnson are the hottest tickets and it is only for 6 more weeks. What was there to lose? I really don't get it sometime. I don't think there will be a big list of takers for Sheff except Tampa--(another freebie) What am I missing? Thanks for the 1979 stat-very cool Do a side by side of Kinsler and Pedroia--clones? Was Kinsler signed to a long term deal with Texas? Gotta go watch now. . . . . . . . . To bad about Grandpa Lowell
  8. I don't know Tom--they have got some heart--and I have a soft spot for Josh Hamilton anyway. See what happens next game.
  9. I can't believe it==they rallied. The game of the year!!
  10. It doesn't get much better than this-
  11. WOW! Could be a late night. . . Edit: Or maybe not. Not over yet
  12. I gotta tell you Tom--they are amazing! Pedroia(Stole) beat out Kinsler at AZ State for Shortstop They are pretty even tonight! What a game
  13. I fear I may be eating humble pie--never mind basking in the sunshine!! I am impressed!!!
  14. STILL top of the 5th Tom, I don't believe it!! :)
  15. Okay--I will be good now. Mstar--:) BTW I am closer to the western than eastern part of the state--small town. Top of the 5th--gotta give it up to em-they are fighting back!!
  16. LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! Tom--what was that?? You wanna rethink that Ortiz thing?? :) I think the price just went up.
  17. It's like Way Speak--a cult in itself-but, one I enjoy being in. It is so satisfying to use the term "Evil Empire" Great cult-every 86 years you catch a break! I would be hard pressed to get a Globe after 10:00 AM on this end of the State--can't get out before then--gotta do my hair dontchaknow! You only get six weeks of classic Manny-we had six plus years. Lucky that is the only thing he came out wearing. Remains to be seen what Ortiz will do without him. Tampa Bay suffered a blow to their offense the last week. I am crying buckets. Maybe Kazmir can carry the team the rest of the way. Guess Boston decided to turn it on in the 7th last night. The Yankees were asleep. I wonder what the Twins are gonna do with all the money they save on razors--they sure don't like to spend it. Mstar---Charlie Zink???????? Sabbathia-Burnett-Sheets-for ?for Ortiz straight-up??LOL--sounds like an ambitious plan--could be done ---- I am hard pressed to name Texas rotation!
  18. Geisha, your second to the last previous post recognized some heart sensitivity that you perceived in my previous post & offered hope on your part that we might communicate on that basis. Your last post post was more simply about communicating hurt as a result of some of the things that I said. I understand both. Please, if you will, I'd like to carry the first to fruition and resolve the second, but we can't do either right now. I recognize your spiritual beauty, & appreciate your heart's appreciation of my heart's desire to deal with things on that heart level. AMEN BROTHER!! I may play theological smackdown on occasion--I learned from the best!! But I really love ex-way. You too--heck--I even love my enemies--and you are NOT on that list. Peace and goodwill Tom. That is all I want to give. It is what we are made for.
  19. LOL--After 86 years of crying each Oct.--using Buckner as a cuss word --and proudly-but sadly saying"We'll get em next year" secretly wondering how to lift the "Curse". I will take special--and that little thing with the Yankees in 2004--we earned it. The Bosox will be okay minus Wakefield(Is that confirmed?)with Masterson stepping in. Maybe the series to keep an eye on is "The Evil Empire v Twinkies"?? Can anyone tell me why nobody jumped on Dunn besides AZ? The big showdown WILL be between Dustin and Kinsler--I may or may not be back!LOL Mstar: Nothing I would rather do--but sadly I will be in the other direction! Should be interesting around here this week. Depending on what happens--I may lurk! LOL TomStrange--how bout putting Nolan back on the mound?
  20. Hi Tom, Pedroia vs Kinsler? Pedroia bats second to get on base not for power hitting--Kinsler's average this year and his offensive prowess are NOT helping Texas climb out of the cellar---much like BB with SF last year. Texas doesn't have a shot at anything. But don't underestimate the scratching and clawing of the twinkies. The Angels are the real team to worry about with FR as closer and a starting rotation that sweep the yanks--they may run away with it all. Bo Sox will be in it--Sorry about Texas Hiway, Went to see the Twins v Tampa Bay in the dome few years ago--had "This is Twins Country" shoved down my throat--one eye on the Sox score as they went down 11 zip. Not a stellar moment. Also saw the Pirates v Atlanta in PA and the only "Call" I heard was H-a-l-l-e B-e-r-r-y as they tortured David Justice. No doubt about it though Josh Hamilton --comeback player of the year.
  21. Hiway Happy Birthday--you don't live around my parts do you? Red Sox Nation Rules is a common expression--a tee shirt--a bumper sticker--A rallying call. You will have to take that up with the faithful Bosox nation if it bothers you--we are legion!LOL Loyal fan base?--I would say so. Of course I think they are the best--I grew up on them--went to see Yaz play before I could see over the seat-- basically. The green monster--the "Idiots"--the best baseball drama EVER played out with a bloody sock--2004. Ring any bells? Never had so many men give me so much pleasure--wink wink! Dustin Perdroia is the newest big boy--He has really come into his own. --I am a huge Sox fan--it is like a rite of passage here. Heck-we eye anyone wearing a Yankees hat with a fair degree of suspicion. We do let them pass on through. I love baseball and can sometimes catch hubby in a gotcha game of stats. Just thought I would chime in-- --there are alot of us--which is why it is Red Sox Nation. Looks like they have the wild card--they rarely let me down for a good post season.

    Cat whispering

Hi Twinky, I tried to post a picture to of my cats on my personal thingy, it didn't work. Did your cats eat the marmite? Did they like it? Is that to much yeast for them? I would NEVER have thought of that, but it seems like a good idea--if they took it. I have some marmite--just wondering how it went down. I have the two tuxedo cats, but also a 11 year old orange tabby. (Chandler Bing)He is having trouble with his back legs and watching him go up and down stairs is getting sad. I was going to look into some kind of pain relief for him--but not sure what I can do. If they give me a tab--I might try the marmite. Smells disgusting to me--so he should like it. My cats will only eat out of a pouch. They see a tin--they hold out. They gorge on dry and then turn their noses up. They tease me. The other thing they do--is jump up on the counter by the sink and wait to have the water turned on slow--so they can drink from it--their fountain broke and they only like running water--I kid you not--they ask for the tap. Let me know if the marmite worked. Maybe I can finally get rid of it. Ever have a marmite sandwich? Not good.
  23. AHHHH Manny--I miss him already. It just doesn't seem the same without him. First Nomar--then Damon--now Manny. You are right M-Star he is electrifying. I just wonder how Big Papi is getting along with out him? Didn't Manny promise to behave? Okay--female now leaving the baseball thread. Go BoSox-----------Red Sox Nation RULES!!!
  24. I did for years because so much of my identity was wrapped up in that teaching. I knew things other Christians didn't--it was a bit of a shock to learn I was just like everyone else. That God had not enlightened me more with knowledge that had not been known since the 1st Century. It really unraveled who I thought I was. Bigger shock to learn WHAT VP et al were. That one stung a bit. But, it took me even longer to realize that IF they were that bad--God may not have entrusted them with all this "Special" (unknown for centuries) truth. THEN I had to crash way down and recognize that other Christians had an in--I had yet to find. Shock to learn they were really just NICE!! When I miss the boat--I really miss it. With TWI I missed it--but I can understand having so much invested--it is hard to let go.
  25. Hey Garth Sorry, no fight from me--- I know that you are a pretty nice guy. So, just saying Hi--again hope all is well.
