WB, You wont find Herradura on Amazon. You have to go to your local liquor merchant. Herradura is tequila made from 100% blue agave. It's the good stuff.

What is the best way to lose weight (and quickest)?
oenophile replied to waterbuffalo's topic in Open
WB, I agree with Mr H. Losing weight quickly isn't a good idea. In fact, if you do you will gain all the weight back and then some. If I were you I wouldn't worry about sliming down quickly to fit into a suit. Instead, go buy a new dark suit that that fits comfortably and helps you appear slimmer at the same time. It would look more professional than a smaller suit that looks like you shoe horned your way in. As for losing weight, I would suggest a change of lifestyle. This past year I have lost 30 lbs and 4 inches from my waist (and acquired a decent set of pecs and shoulders) by following (loosely) a nutrition program and regular exercise (3 to 4 times a week). The nutrition component calls for a daily intake of 160 grams of protein, no more than 30 grams of fat, 120 grams of carbs. You get three cheat meals a week (eat anything you want and as much as you want). Spread out your meals during the day. Eat six smaller meals rather than 3 larger meals. The exercise portion should involve both cardio (walking, running, swimming or biking) and resistence training (pumping iron). If a gym membership doesn't work for you now for whatever reason then pick up some dumb bells (preferably a set that allows you to select the amount of resistence by adding or taking off plates. Find a good exercise book. A Body for Life by Bill Phillips is a good one. It also has a good nutrition plan. -
Originally posted by Vickles The part about the men not being into sex as much came from a thread about how non important sex was with a man when they get older. It seemed a lot of men at that time agreed with it. I am 52 and you couldn't prove that statement by me if I am representative of the male of the species in his 50 somethings . With that being said, our little soldiers at least occasionally have problems standing at attention. (Ah, let's be honest guys, sometimes the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.) This brings me to my next point, if men of salt and pepper age weren't interested in sex then why would such drugs as viagra, ciallis and levitra (as well as natural remedies as horny goat weed and yohimbe) be such raving commercial successes? Do you really think that it is you sex crazed women nagging us about going to the doctor to get a prescription that drives the interest in treatments for ED? I think not. You girls should know by the difficulty you have in getting us to take out the garbage or to put the toilet seat down that we are loathe to do the things that we we dont wanna. Can you imagine the difficulty you would have in getting us to go to the doctor (usually another man but even worse if the doc is a woman) and admit that our johnny doesn't always jump up in order to get a permission slip to get the magic elixir of youth?

I will take the party dudes' unconditional bonds of friendship along with all their sundry vices any day over a bunch of sheeple led by manipulating, abusive, hypocritical, egotistical, arrogant, callous, power lusting and corrupt leader..... The vices of our youth are things that most of us grow out of while latter pollutions of the heart mentioned above seem to be more permanent. Perhaps that is why Jesus preferred the company of winebibbers, harlots and sinners to the exalted, pious and sanctimonious religious establishment of his day. Party on Dude!

WW, Thanks. I ran a systems scan using MacAfee Two trojans and two pups were reported which I immediately quarantined. In regards to the version of FF that I'm using, it's 1.0.3. I should say that the problem that I am having is an intermitent problem. Usually FF works fine. It's just the times that it doesn't and I'm forced to use IE that's annoying and perplexing. RJ

I have loved using Firefox as my default browser. I think that anything that helps wean us off of Microsoft and bring competition back into the systems and applications market is a good thing. Unfortunately, I am experiencing a problem with Firefox. It seems slow in loading my default home page which is Google and I get this message that http://www.google.com cannot be found. What is up with that?

I am using Outlook 2003 and not using it for email. I used contacts in Outlook as a digital rolodex. Since I am not so computer savvy if some kind person would lead me step by step to recover my contacts I will kiss the ground you walk on.

Ron, I fully aware what classical liberalism (in fact I posted the explanation in another thread) which is an ideal born of the age of enlightenment by such thinkers as Locke, Montesquieu et. al. and it is neither conservative nor is it liberal. In contemporary terms it is libertarian which indeed argues for limited self government in BOTH the public and PRIVATE sphere (like keeping the government out of our bedroom (whom we wish to take as a marriage partner) and what we choose to do with our bodies, which are a stands that most conservatives are rue to take.) Conservatives give lipservice to freedom but act differently. For example, the Bill of Rights which are ideals that both liberals and libertarians espouse is currently under attack by the Patriot Act which under the guise of national security is attempting to roll back many of these freedoms that have been hard won. Did you know that the Republican Congress is now attempting to expand the Patriot Act to the point of requiring bookstores, libraries to report the books that you choose to read without a court order? Benjamin Franklin once remarked " a people who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."

Lindy, I will not stoop to the your level of political discourse in your last post and insult your intelligence as you have mine. In fact,I even complimented you for your insight into public accomodation in an earlier post. But take a moment and read what you have written. You have focused your scorn on allinstitutions of higher learning and all liberalism. Moreover, you have suggested that I post from conservative and antigay sites because they unlike the sites that I referenced are more sensible. Please be reminded that the those movements that have moved our society forward have been mostly founded onliberalideals. This begins with the very foundations of our society. If it were up to the conservatives (Tories) who were in the majority, there would have never been an American Revolution. It was liberals like Sam Adams,Patrick Henry, Revere and Jefferson that lit the spark that ignited the torch of liberty. Moreover, other liberal accomplishments include the abolition of slavery, the prohibition on child labor, a mandated healthy food industry, the forty hour work week, the weekend, the civil rights movement, one man one vote, the right of every accused to counsel and many others. Which of these accomplishments would you like to forfeit now? Each and everyone of them was opposed by conservatives at the time. Liberals will always be in the minority but thankfully their courage informed by their ideals of compassion and equality move them to action for the better of all of us.

Here is another failure to understand that there is no link between homosexuality and pedophilia. http://www.geocities.com/ericw_970/myths.html http://www.fortunecity.com/village/birdcag...homovspedo.html http://www.joekort.com/articles50.htm http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/rainbow/html...olestation.html The empirical research does not show that gay or bisexual men are any more likely than heterosexual men to molest children. This is not to argue that homosexual and bisexual men never molest children. But there is no scientific basis for asserting that they are more likely than heterosexual men to do so. And, as explained above, many child molesters cannot be characterized as having an adult sexual orientation at all; they are fixated on children.

Lindy wrote: Still, it is a PUBLIC school, paid for by nondiscriminatory tax dollars. Therefore they can't or shouldn't allow a group that does discriminate use thier public facilities. There is nothing that should be upsetting about this. Thank you, Lindy. It seems that this very simple concept is so hard for so many otherwise intelligentpeople to get. If you wish to have a private organization like the BSA which chooses to discriminate on the basis of sexual preference or a private country club that discriminates against blacks or Jews-thats fine. Go ahead and indulge your prejudices. But don't expect to be accomodated by public facilities which are supported in part by my tax dollars.

I had a friend who happened to be a very devout Mormon who had a very bright daughter who cut herself. At the time I thought the cutting was caused by the conflict she felt between her very bright and inquisitive mind and being raised in religious environment that in which conformity was paramount and questioning was was highly discouraged.

If the dates (4800B.C.-4600B.C.) mentioned in the article for the building of these temples can be verified, this discovery is will re-write the history books because roughly chronologically coincides with the oldest archaelogical evidence of people living in communities in Mesopotamia (late 5,000's B.C.). There is no archaelogical artifacts that predate 6,000 B.C. Until now the oldest historically authenticated civilization was Sumer (began around 3500 B.C.) in the area of what later became ancient Babylon, now southern Iraq. Sumer was made up of 12 city states of which one of them was Ur, the birthplace of Abraham. It is also interesting to note that Sumer is in the area that Genesis locates the Garden of Eden. http://ancientneareast.tripod.com/Sumer.html http://i-cias.com/e.o/sumer.htm

Cowgirl: Let your girls take comfort in the fact there many men like me who actually prefer smaller breasts. I think the problem is that we are too timid to admit the preference in front of our macho peers who give lipservice (no pun intended here) to massive breasts which may have undergone the knife. I think attractive breasts are in keeping with the woman's overall frame and symmetry. Thankfully, Nature's God has provided such accomodation in the vast majority of cases. If a woman is wafer thin as a catwalk model, smaller breast are more becoming to her overall symmetry. Simarly, the same rule applies for medium and larger build women. So my advice to women is to skip the silicon implants and the breast reduction surgery and learn to be confident with what you have. That's right shoulders back and chest out just like your mom told you.

I sat with the grads when RFR took PFAL in 1973 at the ECU Way Home in Greenville, NC. It is my understanding that she taught high school English in New Bern, NC and was introduced to twi and pfal by her students. She rose to prominence in the NC Limb very quickly. Most of us in NC were pretty young during that time. We were mostly either college or high school students. Even the Limb Leader during that time was only 27. Since she was in her either late thirties or early forties, a high school teacher and most of all very loyal to the Limb leadership, she was deemed especially valuable in reaching out to parents. She found herself speaking in front of Limb gatherings relatively soon.
