That's a good set of questions, and proposes some good postulates. Thanks for posting those thoughts. -

Not yet. We're pretty casual about the legal formality at this point. That won't stop us from throwing a party though!

Two companies I have had 100 percent success with. Chase held my mortgage and GEICO holds my insurance policy (both vehicle and homeowner). Never had a problem with either one. Country held my second house mortgage and, at best, "kinda OK" which is to say no major problems but no major satisfaction. BoA has a horrible rep in California. Perhaps you want to just walk into a Chase bank and see what they will re-fi you for. GEICO is a free rate quote on line. Their customer service is phenomenal.

Should be required reading.

It is installed in the registry hence you cannot snag it out of the control panel. Sweet eh? Yahoo does the same thing. Very few people are willing to risk editing their registry so we can effectively force a product on you that way. You can, however, change the settings so that it does not come on at start up and consume your memory resources - and it won't blather at you about how you need to stay in contact with family, friends, and all of god's earth

Reading is a must. TWI be dammmmmed for telling people not to read. As for uncle scary day (book burning)...there was a Jewish philosopher who's name escapes me right now who said in the late 1930's...once they start burning books it's only a matter of time before they start burning people. The novel "Ninteen Eighty Four" (George Orwell) the main character (Winston Smith) worked for the "Ministry of Truth" where they daily revised current and past readable material to reflect what the great brother wanted people to see (out with the old wine in with the new dontcha know). Reading is essential to freedom (among other things). Freedom means we don't have to agree on everything; but read, read, read, read and formulate your own opinions - don't let the media, the government, or your church formulate them for you.

Much excellent. And OMG if you have ever had a jamone (ham) in Spain you won't buy another one in the USA. Did you see all of that fine jamone just hanging off the ceiling?

Whoever made that comment made two mistakes - that is if they are talking about the US military. a) if "he is no longer an individual" yet later "The military is filled with individuals, but..." - well that is a contradiction b) The US military does indeed strip you down and rebuild you...but the US military most highly values its troops being individualistic - within the mission boundaries. However if you to make that comment about of a number of other countries' militaries I would agree. I most certainly agree that it would apply to the TWI "lifestyle" indoctrination.

Naw it was just a poor attempt at making a play on words since Doojable posted that the cruise might better be called "Ship of Fools" - an old Grateful Dead song.
-
I pretty much agree with you on that. Much rather be out fishing somewhere than chatting with someone on a cruise ship. Altho...it might be kinda fun just once...to get sh(tfaced drunk and stumble into a room fool of "believers"
