Have to agree with TempleLady and Bumpy. CF&S was the worst. So full of bull and was used as the grounds for many to be very hurt and confused.

Actually Cuba Gooding Jr. was in Gladiator from the early 90's about some teen boxers. But no need to backtrack. Of course the Gladiator movie with Joaquin Phoenix is a much better movie, and more well known. To continue . . . Pierce Brosnan The Thomas Crown Affair Rene Russo

Better late than never, right, Shell? Here's my recipe. Finally remembered to bring it upstairs to the computer after finding it. Eggplant Casserole 1 Eggplant 1 onion, diced 1 clove of garlic , minced 1 or 2 tomatoes, sliced 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled Grated cheddar cheese 1 egg, beaten Olive Oil 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce Pepper Salt 1 tsp. dried basil Blanch eggplant in boiling water to make skin easier to peel. Peel and cube eggplant. Boil cubes in salted water until tender, approximately 8 minutes. Saute diced onion and minced garlic in olive oil. Drain eggplant, and mash with potato masher. Mix with onion and garlic mixture. Add 1 beaten egg, 1 tsp. dried basil, 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce, and grated cheddar cheese. Salt and pepper to taste. Put eggplant mixture in a casserole dish and top with sliced tomato. Crumble bacon on top on tomatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

I love that poem by Edgar A. Guest and keep a framed copy in my entrance hall at home. Here are the words. Sermons We See I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day, I'd rather one should walk with me than merely show the way. The eye's a better pupil and more willing than the ear; Fine counsel is confusing, but example's always clear; And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds, For to see the good in action is what everybody needs. I can soon learn how to do it if you'll let me see it done. I can watch your hands in action, but your tongue too fast may run. And the lectures you deliver may be very wise and true; But I'd rather get my lesson by overserving what you do. For I may not understand you and the high advice you give, But there's no misunderstanding how you act and how you live. Edgar A. Guest

As I'm not a football fan at all, the only parts of the Super Bowl I watch are the new commercials and the half-time show if I happen to be passing through the room when they come on. Of course, I missed the legendary half time with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, which was just fine with me. When is the Super Bowl this year? Who's playing? Suda

So are we talking February 1? If so, are we celebrating the beginning of a new month? Or possibly the day Memphis will finally get a gigantic snow that sticks around for a while?

Have never used them myself, but the orthodontist we refer our patients to (and who treated our children) uses them a lot and has only good things to say about the results. He offered to treat me and I may take him up on it, especially for my lower teeth. One word of caution, the "appliances" (for lack of a better word) that you wear are very sensitive to food coloring and will take on the color of some things you eat and drink, like cheetos, cola, coffee, etc., so be sure to ask about this. Would be horrid to have to go around with orange teeth for 2 weeks because of snacking on cheetos while wearing your invisalign. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out! Suda

I made lots of good friends while in twi. It attracted many awesome people. They had their share of rotten and bad apples, but most were very good, imo. Suda

Cool, Why do I get the feeling you are talking out of both sides of your mouth? Sometimes your posts make a lot of sense, and sometimes, like now, you seem to contradict yourself. Rascal's initial post in this thread speaks of having a gun for self protection/defense. In your first post it sounds as if you believe using a gun cannot solve the problem. Then it sounds like you think a gun is one solution for self protection. So in self protection, do you have an unloaded gun to use for intimidation with no thought of actually ever firing it? Seems like a loaded gun fired in self defense can solve a huge problem. Not trying to "pick on you", just got confused by what seemed like contradictions in your posts. Suda (who does not like being around guns)

Watersedge, Don't get this at all. You are not in love with someone, but you know them, and that's reason enough to ask them to marry you? Can understand why she may have said no to your proposal.
