Sorta sounds like serving God and mammon. Can't do both, not for the long-term anyway. You have to choose which one, and go with it. Most of us that left chose to serve God, and realized we could no longer do so in an organization that worshipped men rather than God. Suda

Come on, GSG, don't be coy. lol. My hints probably prove I do not know that language. Was a Spanish club girl, myself. Ca dreaming, will have to check the Triple Links thread. An actress in this movie was mentioned recently, but don't know if this movie was or not. Go ahead, venture a guess. You're probably right. Suda

3 pictures. Suda (And GSG, thanks for the hint on how to do "The" Douglas = The Glass. I'll try something similar next time I'm trying to think of one of those little words.)

That's correct, Dooj. We still watch the re-runs around here. Suda

Hope Sudo will join us. But it's an Ole Miss football weekend, and he "lives" for college football and his Rebels. I've invited him and told him I hope he joins us, but I'll let him make up his own mind. But no kiddoes. The girls will both be off at college, and Nathan will have fun that weekend at his cousin's house. In fact, that will be a big treat for him. Ex10 gave me the link for area accomodations. http//www.woodlandsonline.com. I'll check it out for a place to stay. If anyone needs a roomie, let me know and we'll see what we can work out (hopefully, will be bringing my roomie with me!). I plan to take a shuttle service to and from the airport. If someone else is driving in and knows where they are staying, please let me know if I can a hitch a ride to the festivities with you. I'll even book a room at the same hotel. Thanks. Suda

Catcup aptly described the life of a Leaf out in the field where I "grew up" in twi. Bunches of people just like that, and it was great. Had it's ups and downs as you learned to walk through your spiritual journey, but the ups outweighed the downs, imo. Loose organizational structure. Emphasis was on learning to be YOU with Christ in YOU. The individual was loved and appreciated and encouraged. You were aware God's presence in your life, and God was the focus. The twi fellowships served as a resource to help you grow. God was #1, twi was #2. That produced lots of growth and good fruit. When the priorities changed, the individual leaves gladly blew off the tree, the fruit died, and the tree rotted from the roots upward. Suda

Yepper, Ca dreaming! Can you think of his name? Come on, you can do it! Suda

Just trying to sound it out here: Douglas Mena or Minnie Jeri Glass Menageri? Don't think I spelled that correctly. My son is reading that book right now for Summer Reading.

Need to get started on my itinerary. Have volunteered to help Dooj in the kitchen. Does KP patrol need to show up early? Suda

Grand subject for a podcast, and very well expressed by Dooj. Was almost through it last night when we had a power surge and knocked out the computers. Just got access again. Will have to finish it soon. Would be grand to hear Dooj and Sirguessalot continue on this subject. Really good food for thought and understanding. Suda

Dang! I missed it. Will listen to it now, though. Suda

Check out Eugene T. Mahoney State Park in southeast NE (Ashland) between Lincoln and Omaha. Has large lodge with restaurant, fully equipped cabins which sleep 6 - 8 with kitchens, and nice campsites for RV's and tents. Do we have any posters from Nebraska? What do you know about this place? Any other suggestions about your neck of the woods? Will try and call Monday and check on prices, etc. Looks like it could be lots of fun! Suda

We love the Cracker Barrell on road trips. You can get breakfast all day, or good "home" cooking for lunch and dinner. I almost always get a veggie plate. Something for everyone in the family. And after you order, and before the food comes, you can mill around in the store and look at all the nostalgic items. And in the ladies bathroom they use samples of their good soaps and hand lotion so you get to sample them. Started here in Lebanon, TN and have spread far and wide. We TN hillbillies do come up with some good ideas from time to time. Wonder if they have any in Nebraska we could go to if we have the first Greasespot International Reunion there. Only drawback for some, no bar. But good sweet iced tea! Suda

Dooj, Agree, I like multiple get togethers at different locations at differing times during the year. Would be less confusing to me if each locale used it's own name and not all get togethers be called a "weenie roast". Seems the Weenie Roast is what those in the Mid South host. The BBQ seems to be the name for the Texas get together. Maybe the North East one will be called the Lobstah and Clam Bake - guess the group at Chas's house over Labor Day will dub their "official" name. As the Bowtwi's will already be in the area over Labor Day, that seems to be a good time for the Mid-South weenie roast. Maybe Sudo or I can check into some information about it soon. Suda

So is the date Friday, November 2 - Sunday, November 4? Is this a firm date? Is it at Ex10's? And if so, what is the best airport to fly into? Those needing airline reservations want to know. Suda

Ah yes, Cabana boys or Cabana girls, whomever keeps bringing the ice cold fruity drinks with little umbrella's pushed through the marishino cherries, that's who I mean. Good to see you LikeAnEagle, all settled in? So glad we got to meet you while you were still in the sunny south! Suda

Happy Birthday, Hills Bro! Lots of 1952 babies here at the GSC celebrating the big 55 this year. You're in good company. Days? Heck, I can't even remember the good ol' years! But I hope you have a memorable birthday. Suda
