  1. I heard from Rumrunner's daughter today and he wanted everyone to know that he came out of surgery ok and is alert...I will post more info as I get it... ...and this is no surprise to me...he had a lot of folks prayin' for him...and this guy is as tough as a Klingon.
  2. Congratulations!!! Six years being free from the "walls of Zion"...Now that's what I call "Release from your prisons"!
  3. Yep...I appreciate what Radar is saying...so many people worked their butts off. it's a shame that it got so complicated... The early rocks were a bunch of hippies hanging out in tents and it turned into this complex, "youth for Hitler" mentality. When the mandatory "meeting in your twig at a certain time" thing happened, I knew the whole thing was over.
  4. A la prochaine...Yeah, the cage...I remember the cage...what a joy it was to escape it and run freeeeeeeeeeeee.
  5. Chas...No doubt you had "fool" tatooed to your forehead...so did I...and I also had "sucker" tatooed right below it. I was told to bend over and grab my ankles...I finally had enough of THAT abuse ( if you get my meaning  )...
  6. Yeah...That's why I regret not being 30 years younger than I am...I hear stories of the sex and booze and pot smoking orgires that went on in "tent city" by all of you "wayward" youths...and I become green with envy!!! I was one of the old fogies ended up observing the 2 drink limit... :( Damn!...I'll bet you guys had fun!
  7. ...and to a great extent, isn't that what the Greaspot Cafe is all about?...Thanks for your work here Paw...it's more significant than what many realize. ...Wordwolf...thank you for posting that poem...
  8. Remember the old poem "The Bridge Builder"? After all I've gone through, after all the "recovery" I have achieved, after my heart has been healed and I have a new life...why am I still here? Because of wonderful people like Bagpipes...If I can be at this place...and keep my heart open for others ...whose hearts are wounded...and extend myself to them...I dunno...I feel like I owe it to them because I am in a position to do exactly that. Because I understand...and my heart cries with them because I know what their hearts feel like. I intend to stay here for that reason. To tell them that it's gonna be OK...that God is still God...and life is wonderful. Why are we still here?...we've passed the chasm so deep and wide and never again will pass that way. We've survived. Why post we here at the eventide?...We post our hearts and the message of deliverance...and we post for THEM.
  9. ..."so this deep sense of loss, does it ever go away?" Yes my friend, it goes away... :)
  10. I threw all my twi teachings into the trash can years ago...I'm sure someone here must have a tape with that essence on it...it was a "reoccurring theme"...
  11. There are two kinds of people in this world...Weasles and Weasle slappers...
  12. I'm not sure of the exact date but I think it was in 1987... ...The twig coordintors were informed that from now on we were to keep track of who was "FAITHFUL" in our twigs and who wasn't....the criteria for "FAITHFULNESS" was twig attendance and ABS. We were to report on this weekly (included in the blue form) and send the info to hdqrts...this was a mandate from king okie himself. At first, I argued with our 8th corps, ordained branch leader over this issue...When I asked him WHO gave the increase, he said "God"...I then announced that I would be abundantly sharing anonymously from now on...of course, that didn't fly....I then announced that I refused to accept money from anyone on twi's behalf...THIS was the issue that caused me to resign from twi and walk away. 10% buys you protection...15% buys you revelation. It was spiritual extortion and blackmail. The bible says to bring your tithe to a Levitical priest...it was Mosaic law and not directed towards Christians.
  13. I always thought that the people who "liked to go witnessing", were a little "strange"... ...most loathed it (including me). Going door to door was the worst. It was always the event to be dreaded the most..."marketing rep" is a polite term compared to what we really were doing...humiliating ourselves in order to pimp out Wierwille's stolen class and make him rich.
  14. ..."Making a home cleaning schedule that works for you" Yeah...I see what you mean. I am in a constant state of emotional turmoil trying to figure out when to vacuum my rug and do the dishes. Sometimes I think that I should do these things in the evening and other times I feel that the morning would be the best time...but I'm never quite sure. It's an exciting prospect to know that there are people with the wisdom to help me figure this out...and only $4 to boot!...and I have to admit that my deficiency in knowing about the early history of New Knoxville has been a thorn in my side for many years. I, for one, am very thankful for the chance to enrich my life with this wonderful learning opprotunity.
  15. Yeah...and after his carjacking...he got into drive by shootings.
  16. So...Does that mean you'll play the bagpipes for us? :)
  17. That's right allan...especially politics!...My fangs begin to grow when I hear the name "Bush"...oops. this is the wrong forum for that. No no Garth...I said "no strings attached", I use chalk to mark the spots. :)
  18. 39 members?...That's it?...jut 39 members? I recall when an advanced class would draw hundreds...sometimes thousands! Oh well...must be the cream of the cream. Last one to leave twi, turn out the lights.
  19. One of the things that drew me into twi in the first place was the love that the rank and file members had for each other...the tenderness and willingness to extend their hearts to one another...especially in the early years... Since we have left twi, and their hard hearted legalism...it seems to me that the folks here have open hearts towards each other...caring, tender, empathic...extending open arms for new folks, honestly caring for one another...no strings attached...overlooking differences of opinions and endeavoring to "fellowship" with their keyboards... ...In spite of all the "bad stuff' that happened, it's really good to see that the heart of so many people here is to continue with the noble idea of loving one another...corny?...maybe, but I think there's more to it than meets the eye. I'm glad to be a part of GreaseSpot...I really am. Thanks to you all. :)
  20. ...I agree with you Bagpipes...so many fine folks still with twi...but that's their "nature". They are parasites that feed off of the decency of sincere people, trying to give themselves credibility. I don't know if you know who I am...but I remember you as being one of the "good eggs"...10th corps, right? ...glad you're here at GreaseSpot with us.
  21. 10,000 posts?...is that all?...get busy David...you got a LOT more to say.
  22. The term "whited sepulcre" also comes to mind. The way rag is a good example of their committment to mediocrity and deceitfulness. The challenge of the wag rag was to see how many different ways they could regurgitate the same old pfal material...and it was also a platform to stroke the ego of Veepee Cornfield (his picture was on the front page more often than not)...and I simply hated the way that twi would seek out individuals who had been successful in some field and then try to pin their success on "pfal"...when often times, the person had accomplished their goals before ever taking pfal... ...duplicity is a good term to describe twi...but somehow sounds too soft for these scoundrals.
  23. Quiet thinker...and someday in the future, some "newbie" will be searching through the older threads and find THIS one...and they will be thankful that you were not so "quiet" on this day. Thank you for your thoughtful and inspirational post...Welcome friend, glad you're here. :)
  24. Watersedge...welcome to the Greasespot cafe...sit down and have a cup of coffee...or some beer if you please. There's no strangers at this website...only friends we haven't met...we ARE an intersting group of ex cult members who discuss some rather sordid things from time to time...
  25. VP. Cornfield would have claimed to have written the book of Ephesians if he thought that he could have gotten away with it.
