  1. An old friend...just curious...anybody know her married name or where she may be?
  2. Rumrunner is being much too modest...he may not be a lawyer but he certainly knows the difference between the defacto standard and uncle winkie's industrial stain remover.
  3. Laughter is a good medicine...thanks Socks!
  4. Personally, I wouldn't want to dismiss the spiritual beliefs of the Native Americans out of hand... I have studied some of their beliefs and read accounts of many of their experiences...and I think that God worked in the hearts of these people. Do I believe everything that they propound?...no. But I also question many things that are supposedly "Christian". I suppose a common respect for another's beliefs would be appropriate. They believe in the "Great Spirit"...I would give him his space in his endeavor to experience his own spirituality...
  5. All nine all the time?... Notice...there are nine guys laughing. The whole thing was a con..."wicked uncle Ernie", Santa with the cucumber in his pocket, the grinch of happy ho ho...they were all there....they were there to lie to you, to take your money, your innocence, and to suck out your life like a Cajun sucks the brains out of a mudpuppy...hot sauce and all. I hate to rain on anybody's parade...and sometimes the truth hurts...but these guys were not only conmen who ripped us off and abused us... ...they lied in God's name...and THAT puts them at the bottom of the poop hole.
  6. I know Chris Geer...he's an egotistical punk that used to drive a bus and pimp women for the cult leader...he's mean and nasty...he's also delusional.
  7. I love to see threads like this one...getting brutally honest about what these people actually were. ...Get it out...say it like it was. It's a catharsis to spill your guts, a source of information for others (to believe or not believe)...and a warning for those still involved. I saw enough in my 13 years of involvement to know that what Dot is saying is absolutely true. The stories that I've heard from ex twi women, who, with tears running down their faces, told me the horror stories of sexual abuse...drugs, alcohol, unwanted sexual advances...all from people who were at the "top". If I had a flame thrower, I'd pay them a visit.
  8. ...And I thought that the great visionary, George Bush, was gonna send us to mars...
  9. Personally, I use "Uncle Winkie's industrial stain remover"...it cost $1.19 for a 10 gallon pail and can usually be found in most hardware stores. The only problem is that if you mix bleach with it, it will likely explode. It smells a little bit like french onion soup... ...whatever you do, make sure that you empty all the pockets of your pants...if there's any metal (coins, keys, bottle openers) it will cause all your clothes to turn a deep shade of green. and by all means, keep the kids and pets away from the stuff.
  10. Perhaps that would have been a good idea for the top twi leaders...
  11. Have you checked out "Pikes Peak seminary"?...that might solve your problem...
  12. Jeff is one of the good guys...his wife was my wow sister...I wish them nothing but the best.
  13. My sincerest hope is that Bob gets a boil on his neck...
  14. Hills bro!...Long time no see, good to read one of your posts again...hope life is treating you well... Happy holidays my friend... :)
  15. ...And let's not forget that in 1968, the Beatles released the Sgt. Peppers album...those horrible seed boys from Liverpool who polluted our innocent minds with the devil's music...sending us spiraling down the slippery slope of drug abuse and decadence... ...Thanks to the grifter from New Knoxville, we rejected the unwholesome and untoward philosophies of the 60's and marched forward to a brave new world of Christian legalism and "spiritual" goose stepping. ...Oh well, at least my dog still loves me. :)
  16. If they are training corps leaders, they would be teaching twi's version of the bible as it relates to recruiting new folks and appropriating money from people...twi is really big on shaking people down for their money...they LOVE other people's money.
  17. Welcome!... ...Glad you're here. Sometimes we fight like cats and dogs and sometimes we hug each other and cry...there's some great folks here who are always willing to sit and talk...and we are open 24 hours a day!
  18. In hindsight, I see a huge gap between what was taught and what was practiced... On one hand, people were taught about the one body of Christ, with Christ being the head. In practice, a bait and switch tactic was used to replace the body of Christ with the waytree and Christ (as head) with Wierwille. We were taught that every believer had direct access to God and could receive revelation directly from Him. In practice, we were taught to go to our leader in the waytree to determine God's will. Without this bait and switch tactic, twi would have been relegated to being equal members in the body of Christ with no actual authority to establish and rule their religious hierarchy. Was it a deliberate deception?...I believe that it HAD to be. Wierwille's desire to be "some great one" trumped any biblical knowledge he had when it came to being the mog who was revered and obeyed. This trickled down through the hierarchy, with the end result being those on ego trips who lorded over the lives of the sincere. Their false teachings on the "household" versus the "family" laid the groundwork to dismiss all other Christians from having any valid claim of authority or fellowship...twi became a meanspirited, controlling, counterfeit of the true body of Christ...
  19. I think this may have been a much shorter thread had the topic been called: "Doctrines of the Way Ministry that DO line up with the truth" ...Peace.
  20. 42nd consecutive year?...That's longer than pfal lasted...
  21. How about those athlete of the spirit comic books that came out in the mid eighties? You remember?...There was a cartoon drawing of lcm on the cover wearing his leotards...He looked a little too much like Aquaman for my taste... ...but boy, what a collectors item that would be today.
