CES and Momentous
GrouchoMarxJr replied to caribousam's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I agree with ya Hammer...I've beaten this "Momentus" horse with so many lashes, I'm surprised that it has any hide left... ...It's true that I never took Momentus...but I never got hit by a bus either... -
CES is in a Mess...
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Captain Crunch's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
...I like both sets of scriptures that have been presented... I think that there are many "Christian leaders" at the GreaseSpot...do they have titles?...no. Do they run organizations?...no...but they have a heart for God and they interact with other people, while the spirit of God within them works...they help others, they respond unconditionally... Many of us came to the realization that the body of Christ is not an organization...and any member of that body who serves others...are Christian leaders I would not deprive the CES "leadership" from their calling of God...but perhaps they should consider working at being Christian leaders without titles, authority and the temptation to lord over other people...I would ask the question: Is their "calling" a true call to Christian leadership?...or is it a selfish attempt to achieve a "top spot" for their own egos and insecurities? ...and I think that I would address this question more towards the Graesers than the others...but it applies to all of them... -
The funniest book that I can ever remember reading is: "Fierce Invalids, Home From Hot Climates"...by Tom Robbins.

CES is in a Mess...
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Captain Crunch's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
OK...On one hand, I don't want to beat these guys to death and dance on their graves...but on the other hand I take extreme exception when I see sincere people getting bamboozeled, while the top folks get their egos stroked. Forgive the leaders of CES/STIF ?...Sure, I can forgive them...but the real question here is are they any longer qualified to be considered "Christian leaders"??? I mean, how many cults do you have to be in before you hit bottom? -

...and I can't help but pointing out the fact that these folks gave so much credence to Karen Anne Graeser (KAG)... ...I met her once at a large CES function 8 years ago...and she creeped me out. When she spoke, she seemed to be swept away into this emotional whirlwind of detached reality...she had "glassy eyes"...my own "spidey sense" was tingling. ...same thing for Mark Graeser. He was either grinning like a hyena or crying like a baby...they all seemed determined to correct all of VeePee's mistakes and take his place as the guardians of the "true word"... They seemed ripe to go stumbling after new and improved doctrines...and they did. ...But I lost respect for them when they decided that the witch of Endor (KAG) was going to be the ultimate spiritual voice in their little cult...amazing they could allow this...bewitched? -
CES is in a Mess...

Hammer...I would guess that all of the top tier CESers are Momentus grads...perhaps with a few exceptions. I don't view Momentus as the advanced class of CES, as much as I see it as a merger...a merger of thought...a merger of two conceptual components. The "effectiveness" of the Momentus training prompted CES leaders to blend their theology as to be compatible with the Momentus training... Even when CES stopped openly endorsing Momentus (there was a lot of bad publicity regarding Momentus), they continued to practice the "Momentus lifestyle" of repentance and confrontation...( sticking their nose in everybody's business)... ...Now, combine the Momentus lifestyle with persoanl prophesy...fits like a fist in a glove...suddenly spiders are coming out of noses and people's lives are shattered... -

CES is in a Mess...

Interesting article... I think Juedes hits the nail on the head with these losers. I recall vividly a situation (about 7 or 8 years ago)... where local CES leaders tried to gang up on a certain "believer" who didn't bow and scrap and was viewed as a trouble maker...they tried to pull off one of those "accountability" meetings with him, where they would drag all his sins out in the open for all to see...he was to confess his sins to the CES group. I thought the whole thing stunk and told JAL as much...I also told them all what I thought of Momentus (where this doctrine came from)... Personal prophesy my arse...they learned well from their "father in the word"... -

I guess there's more than one way to be filled with spirits...In fact, I always give my best prophesies after a few shots of Dewars Scotch. -
Wasn't the title of that song..."Hold me, thrill me, kiss me"?

My electricity JUST NOW came back on...it was off for about 2 hours...glad to say the heat kicked back on...it was down to about 58 inside...When I called the power company to report the outage, they told me that about 10,000 homes had no electricity (which is about 1/3 of the city) Sure...I remember the storm of 1978...my friends and family told me all about it because I was living in Golden, Colorado that year... Gotta wait for the sun to come up so I can survey the damage outside...see if I can even drive outta here...my driveway is 100 yards long which leads to a dirt road (that the snow plows don't even know exists)...and then a mile drive to the nearest highway...I live in a log cabin in the middle of Bumfuk, Egypt... ...but not to worry, I am stocked well with food, beer and cigs...what else do I need?

1broken1...Oh, c'mon now...who wants the old fashioned approach to living a Christian life when they can have intense psychological mind scrambling to send them into therapy. -

Don't worry, Jonny can't help but check this thread out... ...Isn't that right Jonny? Of course he doesn't have the stones to respond to the accusations against him... ...he's too busy counting his money.

Great thread... ...the best times of my social life were spent with people who never heard of twi...the worst times were the ones spent at "ministry functions"... ...I recall being at a twi "party" and while outside (smoking a cig), I told an off color joke to a few guys...everybody laughed until I turned around and saw the branch leader glaring at me!...he took me aside and reamed me out. here's the joke I told: What did Mr. Spock see when he looked in the toilet? ...the captain's log! I thought it was funny and really didn't think anyone would get devil possessed listening to it... Twi never allowed people to be themselves and to speak freely...everything was censored and controlled.

Letter from John Lynn
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
As far as I can tell, Mr. Lynn likes a controlled environment...one where people are sitting at his feet and hanging on his every word... Of course, he won't find that here...on this website, we are all equals...speaking to each other on equal terms without any pretensions...nobody has any advantage of a title or position or a "leadership" role that makes what they say "more important" There's no stage to stand on...no musical group to warm up the crowd...nobody gets an introduction, listing their accomplishments... At the GreaseSpot Cafe, you speak your mind and engage with others on equal footing...apparently Mr Lynn chooses not to do that. ...and why? because we don't use our real names?...funny, that never stopped me from posting here...or you either...but it's too much for Mr Lynn to deal with... I wonder why?
