  1. Let's see how much of this I remember... ...The paper was turned into Walter (head of the dept.)...and then Walter presented it to the board of trustees and made the comment that "this paper could cause some trouble" or something to that effect... King okie (whom I'm sure took it quite personally), jumped all over it and decided to make a big deal out of it... Shoenheit wouldn't back down and had made the decision to mail it out to as many twi leaders as possible in case he was fired...he was and it was... Supposedly...anyone who even read the paper was instantly fired...I know of one guy in particular, an ordained clergymen from the 6th corps (region leader), who never even read it but passed it along to others whom he thought might be interested in the subject matter...was fired on the spot...and this guy was a top shelf leader!...his name was Bob M*rab**o...if you knew him, you know what I'm talking about.
  2. I love threads that have this much heart...
  3. ...and the funny part is that twi shot itself in the foot by making a big deal out of it and firing Shoenheit... ...they could have easily buried it by letting it "lay on the desk" with numerous other research papers that never saw the light of day...but NOOOOOOOOO...their arrogance led them to make a big deal out of it. They felt that John had confronted them and they were not about to let it slide... ...The rest is history.
  4. To be honest, the last leader that I had in twi (directly above me in the chain of command) was 8th corps and ordained...he was a nice guy and I usually got along with him. His heart was to do the right thing and he really tried to serve God and love people... I ended up disagreeing with him on numerous points and left twi...he stayed for awhile and eventually left twi himself...he died a few years after that...he was young and had a family...I felt badly when I heard about it. He wasn't one of the goons...and I'm sorry that he is gone from this world... I know this isn't my usual "slash em and trash em" posts...but he REALLY was a good person...misguided at times but he was never guilty of the nasty things that "top leadership" was guilty of... May God rest his soul.
  5. Good question...My guess is that with king okie gone, it's a lot less "passionate" as far as the intimidation and face melting goes...but on the other hand, does this define "better"?...it's still the wrong doctrines and manipulation of people to serve mammon rather than God.
  6. ...but is anyone surprised? The narcisstic millionaires of the hollywood elite are famous for being dysfunctional blowhards. The ever congenial Kim found a way to expose and humiliate her ex hubby on the internet...and for sure, he deserves the reputation that he earns. I agree that it's too bad that the child has to play the part of the ping pong in this nasty little game of "gotcha"... I hope some judge puts out a restraining order against Baldwin...he a real dip sh *t.
  7. It's amazing how twi leadership could twist scripture and concepts to indulge themselves in their own mean spirited egotism. Spiritual emotions?...Gimme a break, these buffoons don't know spirit from gummy bears...never did, never will... That's why they have disgraced themselves and continue to live like the jackels they are.
  8. This thread which spans 3 years and some 33 pages of posts, cuts into the heart of the matter as it relates to each individual... My take on all of this?... ...Jesus called the pharisees some pretty nasty names for what they had done and I don't see any scriptures that shows where Jesus forgave them...this IS the original question that was asked by greek, isn't it? As it has been pointed out numerous times, twi continues in it's sin and does not seek my forgiveness...end of story.
  9. Captain Spiritural...welcome to the Cafe...You've come to the right place for answers...try some coffee, I heard that excathedra spiked it tonight!
  10. The GreaseSpot Cafe is an oasis in the cyber world where former members of twi can congregate and connect. It is a place where people can vent, can reconnect with old friends and make new ones...where they can get answers...answers that are very important to them. There is no consensus here...there's a multitude of opinions and various comments concerning their experiences. It's a place that exposes the lies and evils that twi assaulted people with...and so much more. People get healed here...people get into arguments and have the opprotunity to speak their minds... We can't see each other face to face but that's ok...because words convey heart ...and that means something. I feel like I have made some real friends here...and I hope that you feel the same way. Some folks just pass through, other stay...it's your choice. I kinda like sitting at the counter and watching to see who will walk in. Thanks Paw...
  11. Getting hit by a taser gun is like sticking your finger in a wall socket...whoever you hit with it, will not be able to "do anything" for awhile...a friend of mine got hit with one by the police (mistaken identity)...he still talks about it!
  12. Talk about a fast start!...The guys got what? 12 homers in 15 games?...batting over .370 and has 30 rbi's already? could be his best year ever...go Yankees!
  13. Good for you bro...good for you! I wish I had the opprotunity NOW to talk to some of those sons of bi** hes.
  14. I'll give credit where credit is due...Shoenheit DID confront twi's top leadership with the adultery paper...when the "top boys" caught wind of it, they fired him and anybody else who read the paper! (John sent it out to numerous leaders of twi)... He hit a nerve, to put it mildly...and that's when I found out that twi was only concerned about keeping their sins hidden and continuing in them...they went on a slash and burn campaign that gutted many wonderful people...they discarded folks who had given their all...talented, dedicated people...threw them under the bus without a second thought...why?...because they had dared to say that adultery was wrong!... ...and this adultery continued for years afterwards...until it finally took the legal system to get that scum bucket Martindale out of there...and make no mistake about it...Rosie knew what was going on and condoned it...it's in a legal deposition! Somebody ought to take a flamethrower to that place.
  15. I think that your mistake was thinking that Martindale would conduct himself as a loving, concerned Christian minister...he was none of those things...
  16. Martindale always postured himself as "carrying the burden" of his immense spirituality...He wanted so badly to impress other people...and once they were duly impressed, he set about bullying them with his arrogant attitude and his mean spirited mouth... The question is...what was it that was just beneath the surface in his psychological makeup for him to WANT to be this way? I say that he was an insecure individual with deep seated feelings of inferiority...and there was no reason for him to feel this way...I mean, being a second string football player at the college level is nothing to sneeze at.
  17. Actually I think they transcribed it on gas pumps...no wait...that was snow on the gas pumps!...my bad.
  18. I stand corrected...for some reason I thought he was...I guess my mind is "slipping" a bit...
  19. Advanced class?...Let's see now...oh yeah...this is where they learn how to receive "revelation" from God... ...And who better to teach this than the folks who have demonstrated their mastery of hearing God's voice...I mean, just look at their track record...
  20. During twi's "prime years", Schoenheit had a reputation of "knowing the word" as well as Wierwille...mainly because Wierwille made that statement numerous times in public...(my guess is that he knew it far better than Wierwille) I suppose this is why he was the head of the research dept... He was also the one who blew the lid off of the "adultery issue" with his, now infamous, "adultery paper"...which can be found here at GS... Of course, he, like the rest of us, swallowed Wierwille's wrong doctrines for years and years ...and also bought in to CES's crazy doctrines of spiders in noses and all the momentus crap...nice guy?...sure, but I wouldn't hang my hat on his "spiritual expertise".
  21. Hammer...those "secrets of the universe" ended up being a MAJOR disapointment to me...and I know that I am just one lonely voice out of the "100,000" that were touched by the master of the cornfield...BUT...if bulls* t was Campbells soup, corps night would have everybody singing "mmm mmm good"...
  22. There's about 300 million people in this country...guns are available to just about anyone who wants one... I contend that if someone decides to start shooting, there is little that can be done to stop them. ...and I agree that the media is going to "milk" this thing for all it's worth...$$$$$ and I think Mister P-Mosh made an excellant point when he made the comment that this would be a "light" day in Iraq... Question...Does this bother you more than hearing about 40 or 50 innocent people being killed in Iraq?...If so, why???
  23. Sweet mother of God!...I think I soiled myself.
  24. ...Listener...(and all other newbies)...Mike is considered by many to be GreaseSpot's "village idiot"...He is the epitomization of what can happen to a person (in the EXTREME degree), when they "make pfal their own"...he has elevated the words of VP Wierwille above the bible and thinks that he is right and everyone else is wrong... Some people here become very angry and frustrated at the things that he posts...however, I have found that he is great comedy relief. Whenever life starts getting me down, I read one of Mike's posts and I suddenly feel better because no matter what my problem is...I simply say to myself..."at least I don't think the way this guys does"...works every time. :)
