  1. I picked rasberries on a farm when I was 12...got 8 cents for each quart I picked... when I was 16, I went to work in a pallet factory and learned to drive a fork lift and run saws...I got $1.65 per hour...did it after school and on weekends...in the summer, I worked 50 hours a week...
  2. The real reason I come here is to proclaim that twi was nothing more than an insideous cult that conned people and filled them with bullsh *t...Wierwille was a conman and Martindale was a jerk... Sometimes I think there's far too many people here who would still be eating twi's crap for dinner if they hadn't been booted or left on their own because of the "sins of the leaders"...HA! Sins of the leaders?...These guys were playing you for a fool the whole time...wake up!...Go to church if that's what you need or keep your faith private (like I do)...or reject the whole kit and kaboodle (like others have done)...but for crying out loud, quit trying to reconcile the good old days (which never existed) to the bad old days (which did and still do exist)...it was always a con...from the first day that the cornfield preacher saw the snow on the gaspumps until he croaked from the devil spirit that got into his eyeball... Personally, I've had a belly full of listening to all the "romanticizing" about the "werd" that was taught and the "great times that were had"...I'm sorry I ever wasted even one minute of my life with this bunch of losers... "But I made some great friends Groucho"...Good for you, so did I...but I also made some great friends while I was eating LSD in the 60's and when I was working construction in the 80's...making good friends is beside the point. Let's examine what twi was and what it did to people...it SCREWED THEM UP!...it cost a lot of people a lot of things... That's why I come here...to encourage people to throw out the bathwater, the baby and the bathtub too...get a life and move on...get over it...it was a waste of time... ...but that's just my humble opinion... :)
  3. I think Lewis Black is the funniest comedian around today...always makes me laugh... As far as the topic of this thread goes...I believe that God created the process of evolution...He set things in motion so to speak...how do I know this?...because Hank told me. Sudo also knows Hank...don't you doc?...
  4. The "handless organist" gets my top vote...
  5. I wonder if Jonny Lingo wears his pants like that...
  6. ...I look at these guys walking around with their pants half down their arse and I feel like yelling "PULL YOUR PANTS UP!!!" I try to imagine myself wearing my pants that way and it would make me feel very uncomfortable...how can you walk when your trousers are falling down? I recall sitting on the can one day when the phone rang...I ran for the phone with my pants that way and I didn't care much for it...I suppose that I should be glad that they wear underwear...Can you imagine?
  7. No...but she's just like a virgin...touched for the very first time...
  8. Cat ears!...I bet you never thought that your corps training would prepare you to make cat ears...
  9. Submission?...whip me, beat me, make me write bad checks...
  10. I come here because the coffee is good...
  11. That was his trademark doojie... he never practiced what he preached...Wierwille taught many things that were actually valid...but in practice, he was both a hypocrite and a scoundral.
  12. Paw...It might help if you inform us what we should do to aid the GreaseSpot with these ads at the top of the page...if clicking on them brings you some money to help with the site, I'm sure a lot of folks would do it just to help out...besides, I'm sure that Jonny Lingo would LOVE to hit on a catholic girl...
  13. annam...if you think I was harsh in my post...go see what I said about Jerry Falwell! I see you have a tender heart and want to follow the Lord...there are many others here who feel the same...I honestly don't mean to offend you, I'm just calling them like I see em'...I'm being as honest as I know how to be. I know I'm a bit caustic at times...that's what I do, that's why I'm here...but if I offend you, don't paint everybody here with the same brush...there are some great folks here...
  14. What a wonderful thing to behold...Sounds like you've done a really great job raisin' these youngins'... ...Be proud mama...be proud. :)
  15. When Wierwille taught "Born again to serve"...What he really meant was that you were born again to serve HIM... The protocol of twi always centered around the concept of the religious hierarchy known as the way tree...(or as some of us refer to as the tree of rotten fruit)...it was considered proper protocol to stand up when a "twi leader" entered the room...of course nobody ever stood up when you or I entered the room... this was symbolic and a constant reminder (as were so many other twi protocols) that you were a worthless schmuck who would be told what to think and how to act. I wonder what the protocol was when a yooung lady was taken into the motorcoach...did they open the door for her and allow her to enter first?...or was she required to allow the man of God to enter first and then she followed?...or maybe they just carried her feet first after she was drugged?
  16. OK...By now the left coast has seen it...comment?
  17. Well C'mon...some of us don't watch television!...What the heck happened???
  18. Yes Hap, they do...they sing in the Mafia Tabernacle Choir... and you'd BETTER clap when they're done...
  19. WhiteDove...Didn't mean any offense by my remarks concerning the cost of Walter's book...I was just a little surprised. I have no axe to grind with Walter as he always seemed like the exception to twi leaders...he was a nice guy.
  20. Having your needs and wants parallel is perhaps the stupidest of all twi doctrines...it made no sense and still makes no sense...it is unbiblical and totally made up... I sometimes think that Wierwille taught this just to see how stupid and gullible his students were.
  21. ...and what annoys me is that Wierwille knew better! Wierwille taught the sections in Ephesians about every believer having equal access...no high priest was needed any longer...remember that?...but when it came down to practice, he wouldn't let go of his "Moses complex"...everything had to be cleared through his religious hierarchy...why, pray tell, did he bother to teach the advanced class ? (other than to rake in more money), if everything had to be "cleared" through the way tree?... The way tree was a counterfeit of the body of Christ...Wierwille's religious hierarchy took the place of the spiritual body of Christ and Wierwille himself became the head...is it any wonder that he became a delusional drunken womanizer?
  22. Differing opinions from the group?...I realize that you are a newcomer here, so allow me to fill you in...there is no consensus here...there is no group think. There are numerous opinions on VPW and what he taught on these threads...You will not get marked and avoided for having a differing opinion. I have seen you post segments of the pfal book as well as "other things" that came from "other people" and then "distance yourself" from what you posted by claiming that it was from other people....why not fill us in on YOUR opinion of VPW and what he taught?...or does that make you too vulnerable?
  23. You know you're out of a cult... ...if you pray from your heart and not from a list. ...if, when someone mentions the term "BRC", you see yourself with a flamethrower in your hands ...if you discover that 100% of your money goes further than 90% does ...if you get rid of the red drapes and replace them with venetian blinds
  24. What's amazing is that you would dig up a thread that was started a year ago and hadn't been posted on for 7 weeks and bring it to the top...If it's so "old and useless" why go to the trouble of bringing it all back up again? "those who live by the past die by the past"...Hmmm, and I always thought that the appropriate saying in this context was "those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it"... but I suppose if you can't see the "profit" (a term that's straight from the waybrain handbook)...then perhaps we are not the only ones that need luck...
