So many newbies, so many still blinded by vp...
GrouchoMarxJr replied to tonto's topic in About The Way
What's she's really trying to say here is... ...never mind. -
Maybe my perspective is a little different than others...I no longer feel injured by what happened in twi...I'm over it. ...and I'm a better man now than I was then. I look at them with disgust and with righteous anger...I would forgive them in a heartbeat if they came to me and said they were sorry...but they have not done that. It's not like I am preoccupied with thinking about them (I stop thinking about them when I leave this website)...and I am certainly not being consumed by "bitterness"...I simply think that they are wrong in what they do and they are hurting people...and I say so. I have too much going on in my life to spend much time thinking about twi...My forgiving them or not does not bother me one way or the other. We all stand before God and that's what counts. I am responsible for my own sins...they are responsible for theirs...

Craig works for a home improvement store?...not quite the position that he claimed he could get as a fortune 500 CEO...but rather, a middle of the road job for a middle of the road guy. What a great distance he has fallen...from MOG! thousands of people at his beck and call...high living, being catered to...the GREAT ONE!...all the way down to punching a clock in some retail store in the middle of Bumfuk, Egypt...probably driving a used car with a bad muffler. But what do you expect from a guy pushing 60 with a resume that says "former cult leader, personal trainer at Balley's and second string defensive end in college football"? What do ya think?...He hangs out in strip joints trying to pick up hookers?...He's run out of young corps girls and his wife decided to stay behind with Rosie... ...I wonder if he still has his Athletes of the spirit costume? I could see him frolicking down the street in it, casting out demons...until somebody threw a net over him and hauled him away. -
Once upon a time, there was a mean, vicious, little demon from hell that lived in a drambuie bottle...it would whisper, "C'mon Vic, drink a little more and then get Howard to bring that young girl to the motorcoach"...Vic would say..."Yeah, they all belong to me anyway..."

Fine with me...there are people who enjoy derailing threads...for "whatever" reson.

...and you really believe what you posted?...

I think that George made some very lucid remarks concerning the promises on the green card...remember the green card?..I think that is the subject of this thread... Let's talk about "Developes more harmony in the home"...I can't even list the number of familes that I personally saw get torn apart becuase of twi...How exactly did twi define this "harmony in the home"?...I think it was when the entire clan was marching lock step to the cadence of cult land...if uncle Charley didn't want to join up, it was HIS fault that he was out of step with his family members who were trying to dictate to him what he should believe about God...and the rub was that "if you refuse to believe as we do, you are an outsider"...and how many parent thrilled to their child going out wow!..."but your sister is getting married"...sorry mom, I can't leave the wow field. Is it any wonder that more parents didn't hire degrogrammers to get their kids out of this "We are the only ones with the truth" cult? ...and I read in as earlier post about folks who went to twig for a year before they ever heard of the class?...I assure you, this was an anomaly. Usually (by strong mandated directives trickling down the way tree), new people were informed of the class at their first twig...or somebody was remiss in following twi protocol.

Exactly!...I remember it too! Dooj is right, Twi was all about sales...sales of classes, sales of books, seminars, advances, roa, abundant sharing...it was ALL sold to us! The "top" leaders of twi were the ones who could make a profit for them...the sellers. At least when you bought something from Amway, you actually got it...soap or whatever... Twi never had to deliver!...just make the empty promises and when it didn't work...it was "your believing", which made it YOUR fault... The green card was a sales gimmick...and we were the free work force that brought people and their wallets into twi. I want my commission!...or how about a refund!...Their esoteric mumbo jumbo didn't work...the claims were false. The people who ran it were hedonistic abusers whose sociopathic behavior has left a trail of tears behind it...broken people, confued people...guilt ridden people...and then there's the worst... ...those who still stumble through life with the malady known as "way brain"...sad...

Maybe it has something to do with the indoctrination that shaped their thinking into the belief that women should be subjugated and dominated by men? -
Groucho's home made turkey soup: Good for after thanksgiving or whenever you cook a turkey... Take left over turkey meat...(about two pounds) Throw it into a large pot, add chopped onion, celery, fresh garlic, carrots, fresh green beans, mushrooms, a bay leaf and season with salt, pepper, and oregano/basil mixture... ...add 2 quarts of water and a large can of chopped tomatoes...simmer for about 2 hours...(if it gets too thick, add more water)...turn off stove and add a cup of red wine...stir.

Martindale never did "get it"...for him, it was always about him... I really don't have a vindictive attitude towards him, but I am glad that his position in life is such, that he can't do the damage to people that he once did. Today...he's probably hitting on bar maids and middle aged divorcees...maybe a few hookers thrown in. He probably hires the kinky ones that will allow him to wear his "Athletes of the Spirit" costume and scream out the names of demons while he's spanking her... ..and meanwhile, back at the ranch, Donna is still living high on the hog. I know folks who were booted when their marriage fell apart...why was she an exception?

We were all stupid... ...I wonder where Cornfield Vic came up with those claims. Maybe he copied them off of a bottle of doctor Scholl's foot powder...We already know that Wierwille was pretty much incapable of coming up with anything on his own...I think one of the few things that he actually did on his own was JCING...Now wasn't THAT a scholastic masterpiece! He even stole the names Maggie Muffin, Henry Baloko, and Johnny Jump Up...The guy was a complete flim man man. The green card made them like Amway...it conned people into thinking that there was some actual benefit to joining an abusive cult... ...Your pen or mine?

Twi's excellor sessions were hideously wrong. The spirit gives the utterance...you don't practice it. There's nothing in scripture that even vaguely resembles the perversions that twi practiced. How much benefit you get from it?...Good grief!...that's made up. There's nothing biblical about it. The benefit from it comes when it's genuine...not when you follow an instructors manual.
-
That's what I've always liked about George...his brutal honesty always makes me laugh my arse off...

Nothing wrong with Jerry Garcia...nothing at all.

OK...I didn't start this thread, but I'll respond to it... ...For every claim made on that accursed green card, I think there was an opposite result in most cases... Those claims were nothing more than a carrot on a stick that were dangled in front of the unsuspecting sucker that signed up for this class. Twi split families apart, they taught wrong doctrine and discouraged people from questioning authority..."Makes life meaningful" ??? For whom?...I think that the "meaningful" part was reserved for those who counted the money in the backroom and took girls into the back of the motorcoach. The rest of us schmucks were stringing chairs and making coffee. The green card represents the "hook"...it was what was used to entice people, to bullsh *t them...it was used as a tool for recruiting purposes...it was a scam.

I have no idea how women think...I am totally lost when it comes to trying to understand the female gender. I am inclined to agree with Tom Strange when he says to simply be yourself...trying to change who you are to please a woman is a lesson that most guys learn in their early years...(hopefully)...it don't work. Most women I have met, claim that they value a good sense of humor, honest communication skills, a flair for being romantic, a decent paycheck and a big...well, you know.

No Mike...as spirit filled Christians we are to become elite servants....not as "grads"...You're mistaking the message for the reality behind the message...and in this case, the message was severely flawed.

Not really a "black sheep"...more like one that's stuck in the quicksand and needs to be pulled out... -

Larry...That's a valid question...I no longer consider YOU a guest, that's for sure... I think that when a person first enters, they are welcomed and shown around the cafe. Once they decide to "engage", they enter the arena where the "reideer games" are played...sometime shortly after that, they are no longerguests, but "members! -
I suppose if I were to go off on a tangent, it would be to expound upon the contrast between rituals and Christianity... I was reading this book sometime ago (can't remember who), and it was saying that the only two rituals that Christians are to observe...are holy comminion and water baptism....and I don't believe in either of them...at least not as understood by most denominations. ...In other words, I don't think that true spirituality is all that compatible with rituals. I have nothing against Christians fellowshipping together, in fact, I'm highly in favor of it...but I find organized religion to offer too much ritualism for my taste. Twi was loaded with it...

I agree that Wierwille enjoyed teaching things that went against the traditional grain...but I DO believe he was antisemitic. I also think he was not only proud of his German heritage but also sympathized with Hitler and the nazi philosophy... He went as far as saying that people who "thought" they were Jews, were not really the same Jews from the bible...Of course, he was totally wrong about this as he was about so many other things.

...How many times did I sit and listen to king okie scream and holler about his unshakable committment?...Condescending to the rest of us, whose spirituality and committment was nowhere near his?....His arrogant attitude, his vulgar and uncouth mouth...spitting and pontificating about the steadfastness of his godly stand? ...HA!!!!!!!!!!!...The wimp turned tail and ran as soon as the kitchen got too hot...his own disgusting behavior catching up to him. Called of God?...What a phoney, what a joke. Maybe the twi denomination booted him but if he was as committed to God as he claimed, why did he not continue with his "ministry"?...Lynn did, Schoenheit did, Finnigan did...many other did...but not king okie. ...and from all accounts, he's a broken man. Hiding away and running from his past....I say he's a punk and always was....all mouth.

The law of believing-NO GOD NEEDED
GrouchoMarxJr replied to nyunknown's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Never taught him the correct way to cross the street?...Good gravy! Did I sleep through that part in the class?... ...What is being ignored here is the believing of the guy who drove the car. What?...he was a blow up doll that mindlessly steered the car into the boy?...What part did his believing play in this scenario?...If you follow Wierwille's teaching to it's logical conclusion...the guy driving must have "believed" that he was gonna kill a child with his automobile. Look...this "law of believing" is asinine...it doesn't exist!...the guy who taught you this drugged and raped young girls...how stupid can you be? I hate to insult people but...really!...how stupid can you be????????????? Think about it for a minute...You're driving your car and suddenly you run some kid over and kill him because his mother was full of fear. I'm sorry, but that logic is just plain stupid...
