Maybe part of the problem is that the people who post here are not running a business for profit in regards to their involvement with twi or any other cult (as you are)...it's a community of people who were involved with twi and share their thoughts on their experiences... ...now don't get me wrong...but you are running a business and people recovering from their cult experiences are your prospective clients...it doesn't really matter whether you are getting rich or just making your mortgage payment...it's the idea. You are more like the "Ads" at the top of the page than you are "one of us"... Here's a question for you...If you were not running this business, would you be posting here? -
TWI Financial Statement/Self-Supporting Twigs

When it came to the money, Vic Wierwille had it going on...I'll bet they had boxes of cash that nobody knew about...probably hidden in their secret bunker next to the cases of automatic weapons... ...and today, they continue to live off the assets of yesteryear. Outreach, new classes, ABS, new money making ventures....they aren't important anymore. The people running the show are content with riding out their remaining years living off twi's assets....40 million drawing interest. All they need to do is keep up the facade of being a tax exempt religious organization. That's their goal...that's their mission. -

I suppose everyone is different...some folks need professional help after their cult experience...others don't. I figure, I paid them while they were brainwashing me into their cult...I'm not about to pay again to walk out the exit door. Personally, I was involved for 13 years...went wow, was in the corps...all of it...when I decided to leave, I never looked back and was over it ("recovered") in about 5 minutes...but that's just me. -
TWI Financial Statement/Self-Supporting Twigs

Hmmm...and I thought that the ABS was to open the floodgates of heaven upon those who gave...isn't Rosie concerned about people getting "blessed"? If the ABS is dwindling, then people are simply not "seeing it"...How can the "way people" get blessed if they do not give money to twi? Sounds to me that Rosie should be "ministering" to this need... ...but wait...she claims to have 40 million in savings...ok... I get it now. -
TWI Financial Statement/Self-Supporting Twigs

...Now why doesn't that surprise me?... ...and think about all the money that was collected in the form of cash...all the big meetings where they passed the "horn"...are you kidding me? They would screw your wife but they wouldn't lie about the money? -
I think that Vic's selection of Martindale was revealing in and of itself... If Vic really believed that his ministry had substance, he would have picked Walter...but he knew it was built on his personality...so he attempted to pick someone with a firey personality...albeit, the guy was an a ** hole. ...and he also had delusions of granduer. Sign a loyalty oath?...kiss my a **.
-
Rise and expansion?...Ironic isn't it?...that the okie who taught this stuff trashed all the successful programs that Vic had put together....The original pfal, the wow program and the roa...these were the guts of Vic's money making empire...and the guy he picks trashes all the successful programs!!! I have to say...Martindale was dumber than a box of hammers. All he had to do was to keep the trains running on time...instead, he destroyed the whole thing...the only reason they exist today is because of the revenue twi makes from the investments of the money that came in during the 70's and 80's... ...I'm no expert, but I would guess that before you can "rise and expand"...you have to first be a Christian. Martindale and twi fell short of even THAT...in my opinion.

It's interesting that there are twi innies who are checking out this book...it seems that their cult has become so small that they are probably enthralled that anyone even mentions them at all...they rally together to criticize the book only because there's no one else talking about them anymore... ...I can hear it now..."it's an attack of the adversary! Get the Yak twig together!"...

I still have my mal pack ready to go...I plan on raiding the local Krogers as I leave town for the woods...

Even if today's twi is less confrontational......

...and this was their arrogance. To question and then attack people who had stood with them for years. People who had worked hard and had been faithful. According to their own doctrine, we were ALL son's of God...but they treated people disrespectfully and with malice. They taught that we could all receive revelation but they insisted on making spiritual decisions FOR you...They taught that God made us righteous but they ridiculed and condemned...they cast out those who were in need and they spoke evil of those who rebuked them with their own doctrines... ...and then it was MY turn...but I chose the time and the issue...and when I walked out, I never looked back. -
it was a fantasy world designed by the master conman Vic... and he wallowed in the adoration and all the money.
-
...and EVERYTHING Wierwille did was designed to make money. He could have charged for his class and then let it slide...he could have lived quite comfortably...but no... Think about it...what was the first assignment and collateral reading in the pfal class?...the "Christians should be proposterous" booklet...the one that tells us to send Vic our tithe...remember? He was setting us up from the get go. ...and then came the other classes (that cost money)...and the advances and the roa...charged us $25 at the door and then made us work for free!...everything was about the money. Vic was rolling in dough!...unethical, immoral, and unChristian...in my opinion.
-
I agree wholeheartedly... VP was claiming that he knew God's word like nobody since the 1st century...and he's charging money for it!... what's worse?...him pulling this con or us falling for it? ...and you're right, how could anyone charge money for the truth of God as it has not been known since the 1st century?...immoral is the correct term... I find the impartation of spiritual knowledge and the necessary task of generating an income to be somewhat incompatible...a modest income to pastor a church?...fine. but a pyramid scheme that makes you rich?... <_< It doesn't pass the smell test. VP was an opprotunist and salesman who stole other people's stuff and made a fortune palming it off in God's name...

I suspect by the time lcm was "mantled", he had become totally delusional. Every thought that jumped into his okie skull, he thought was divinely inspired...who needs a research department when you're the mog! In hindsight, it seems obvious that Martindale was a dull bulb who lost his mind...Vic really should have known better than to pick this guy...really.
-
I recall sitting through the advanced class at Emporia in 1978...We were hit quite heavily with all the conspiracy crapola...and the devil's main target on planet earth was twi, dontchaknow... ...and this all laid the groundwork for the infamous mal pack adventure...I still own my kelty backpack.
-
bagged her?...to be sure. It was common knowledge that lcm was having sex with the female "serpent seed" lady in the production...and turning her husband into a cuckold in the process. He destroyed that marriage as well as many others...minister of God?...right, and I'm the fifth Beatle.

Is that what you call it?...a loaf? as in pinching a loaf?

The Oak Ridge Boys are very talented with an interesting history...check out their connection to the Cathedrals.

She's a college student who smokes pot and likes to drink...in all honesty, I wouldn't make that much out of it... ...but that's just me.
-
Does that surprise anyone?...the majority of people who hang at that website are the ones who didn't leave enough bread crumbs behind on the trail to find their way back home after the cult experience... snow on the gaspumps indeed!

I agree...even as the woman who was beaten repeatedly kept crawling back to "her man" (to get more abuse)...some victims of twi go crawling back because they are so insecure that they need the validation of their abusers...pretty sick if you ask me. It's akin to people who enjoy being tied up and whipped... -

After I departed, I received just one phone call...it was from a 6th corps grad who was faculty at Emporia. When he asked me if I thought "Dr." Wierwille was wrong and I said "yes"...that was "it" for me...I was officially put on the "do not pass go, demon infested spiritual cesspool list"... ...I went out out and had a few beers and chuckled to myself. -
The acid never wore off?...Could be. It seems that Lynn believes in the snow on the gaspumps story. When God spoke audibly to VP F *****g Wierwille...Lynn is now quoting this story as his continuing mission...knowing the word as it hasn't been known since the first century, blah blah blah... That story was the HOOK that sucked people into the cult!...God spoke to this guy!!! It was a done deal after that...and now Lynn is trying to revive it...and I say it's about time someone called bulls **t on him. ...and the sad thing is that he probably believes it! There are still plenty of people who live their lives believing twi doctrine...and that's part of the tragic legacy that twi leaves behind...
