Well...in case anybody from twi is reading this...I got news for ya...everything is NOT allright. Wierwille was a con artists from the get go, Martindale was a dufus who screwed it all up and Rosie is a calculating cut throat...Whatever it may be, it's not God's ministry...not hardly.

The final straw?... ...the infamous clergy meeting. When the reports started trickling to me as to what occurred there, I knew that the fat lady was singing. These guys were totally lost and didn't leave enough bread crumbs to find their way back. I walked away and never looked back.

Not hardly...Wierwille was a drunk who chased women all his life...he was lazy, insecure and egotistical...spiritual?...about as spiritual as P.T. Barnum... ...and to all you "kids" out there...I'm not just shuckin' and jivin'...I KNEW these guys! Spent time with them...Martindale had the gift of gab...but was dumber than a tub full of chicken livers.

Think about it for a minute...king okie was handed a gold mine!...on a silver platter!...and what does he do? He shuts down the three biggest money makers in the cult...rock of ages, the wow program and the pfal class...good move loy...next comes his rendition of Aquaman of the spirit followed by the loyalty oath demand and then his numerous affairs that were finally his undoing...what a freaking moron! I think Moe Howard would have had better success trying to perform brain surgery...

I think that the selection of L. Craig Dufus is PROOF that Wierwille never received revelation in his entire life...Wierwille, who claimed that God spoke to him as often as Beavis spoke to Butthead...and the most important decision he had to make (who's gonna replace him)..and he picks the Okie!!! God spoke to Wierwille?...right...and I'm the fifth Beatle. How dumb was the okie?...when I look back on it all...I find his stupidity to be astounding! any comments?

...I agree...I was at Rome City for about 4 months and it was definitely creepy. There was a huge attic that I would sneak up to in order to "get away"...it had a weird vibe to it...in fact, the whole place had a weird vibe to it...ghosts?...maybe so...at the time I thought it was due to Bob and Dottie.

The Way of today isn't anything like Martindale's way
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Twinky's topic in About The Way
You make some false assumptions...GreaseSpot is not a place for "believers" (whatever THAT means), who were wrongly kicked out of the "ministry"...many of us here kicked the "ministry" out of our lives...and by the way, this is NOT a Christian website. The trouble with religious people is that they are usually arrogant, self righteous, judgemental and hypocritical. Twi is no exception to this. "What GOD says in HIS word"???...Your reasoning is circular, illogical and flat out wrong. Wierwille's rendition of God's will was wrong even from a Christian perspective...and from a secular perspective, it was downright insane...the teachings of rosie and her cohorts are nothing more than a mutated form of what their false prophet stole from others... ...Personally, I think that twi should stay in IT's closet. -
I believe you are correct...Geer knew where the bodies were buried...he was Wierwille's pimp for crying out loud! I'm sure if Vic told loy to "loosen up" in that category of his life (sex), he told Geer the same thing...Vic taught all his top henchmen to be adulterers...afterall, it was in the category of "need". After Wierwille kicked the bucket, it seems like the "spell" was broken and a lot of people started coming to their senses...

Worth mentioning was the infamous "clergy meeting" in 86 or was it 87?...This meeting was the turning point for many...it was for me. As I recall, the clergy in my area announced that they were going to "get to the bottom" of all the controversy that was going on...they headed off for the clergy meeting with fire in their eyes and an angry attitude...they returned like sissy boys that had been bit *h slapped ...but not all of them...there were a few brave souls who still thought for themselves and walked out of that meeting. Isn't that right Rumrunner? After this meeting, entire limbs left at once...and a whole lot of abs money too.

Alice Cooper was unique...nobody did what he did before or after...he was the Captain Hook of rock and roll...he wasn't a musician who stood on stage and played...he was an extension of burlesque and Vaudeville. He used props, dancers, and makeup...and his attitude of rebellion and individuality swept over his audience like a tidal wave...and his music was excellant! A blend of the Yardbirds, the Who, the Doors, and American TV jingles...He was pure Americana rock and roll...we loved him because he was brash and had attitude...and he put on a remarkable show. He used to say that his shows were about having fun...and there's nothing wrong with that.
-
I am totally disgusted with politics and the way our country is going... What we need is Alice Cooper! That's right...The villian of rock and roll...inspiring people to rebel and spit in the face of the machine that eats us alive. Alice Cooper is the embodiment of individuality and defiance...and his music is good also... I say that America needs Alice Cooper! To look the snake in the eye and to go about our anarchistic ways... What say ye?

Ha ha ha The reason that Martindale failed was that Wierwille was good at shifting gears into his "tender moments"..."you're my keeds" and all that baloney...he sucked people in. Martindale couldn't pull it off...he was one dimensional and that was being mean spirited and a big mouth.

Only the 7th poster to ever reach this milestone... ...that's a lot of typing.

Living at twi headquarters must be like a 21st century version of MacBeth... ...I can see Donna screaming at night as she tries to wash the blood off of her hands. Rupp sitting alone at night in his room, imagining himself as the great one... I still think that the Coen brothers should do a film about twi...
-
I had some extensive tours of duty myself in those days...the folks I ran with were "Jerry's kids"...and were not talking about Lewis.
-
Twi's inception was based upon the personality of one man...twi was a cult and a cult must have a charismatic leader in order to grow...(maybe because there is no substance in what they teach)... ...Today twi celebrates 10 years of running a peronality cult without a personality...Rosie the riveter has as much pazazz as a block of granite. I believe that Vic would start spinning in his grave if he knew that Rozilla had inherited the "mantle"... ...maybe twi could announce that Vic had risen from the dead, find some old guy that looks like him, and teach him to lip-sync on stage while they play old tapes of Vic... ...unless of course, Rosie is only interested in meeting the basic criteria in order to maintain their religious tax exemption and live off of the money from the glory years? ...pathetic indeed.

Spectator Christianity
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Tzaia's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
...With their track record, who are they to call ANYONE weak Christians? These former waycorps grads who hoisted a flag in their own image, are nothing more than a continuation of cult think...weak Christians indeed. -
My early memories of twi in the mid seventies was that the official line was that smoking pot was "off the word" but many did it anyway... ...I know I did.
-
In so many ways, exposing the truth about twi is about exposing the "spawns of Wierwille" who sometimes espouse the same garbage that Vic did or a slight variation of it...but the game remains the same...LORD OVER PEOPLE AND TAKE THEIR MONEY... ...and some of these guys have really "lost it"...has anyone checked out Dale Sides and his traveling pony show?...it's a freaking riot... ...but in a very sad way, the legacy of Dr. Doom Wierwille continues under many different names. The God business. Gain people's allegience, suck them dry and leave them by the roadside. I say that we should hunt them all down like vampires...drive a stake through their deceiving doctrines and abusive ways. ...but that's just me. :B)

Can anybody tell me the difference between religion and politics? I can no longer see any difference... The speration of church and state in the constitution was a stroke of genius...too bad it doesn't work very well. I'm thinking that religion and politics are the same thing and the cause of every senseless war... ...not to mention the repressive, violent, and disgusting lifestyles that the majority of the world's population embraces because of their religious beliefs... Instead of religion...I vote for doing a bunch of LSD and listening to the Grateful Dead... I suspect that the end result would be much better.
-
Wierwille's phoney doctor's degree was an example of his entire career. From stealing other people's work to presenting himself as an "educated man"...remember the book JCING? I think it's the only book that Wierwiile actually wrote himself...which explains why it reads like a 7th grade term paper... ...Wierwille was to Christianity what Jeffery Dahmer was to fine dining.

As far as I can tell, Finn$gan is a king in his own little kingdom... What was once the way of NewYork became the foundation for Vinnie's enterprise. Like Lynn, Vinnie learned his lessons well (but pulled it off with less controversy than Lynn)...This is what happens when you drink the koolaid. ...and by the way, the link to Rood was hysterical. I wonder how many other exwayfers have lost their way in the twilight zone...

Contexual reading? Like everything else in twi, it was a bait and switch tactic... Wierwille would proclaim..."read it in the context"...and would then go on to tell you what the context was. He would give you the illusion that you were studying it on your own when in fact, he was telling you what to think. If you disagreed with him, you either conformed your opinion to his or you hit the road. Contexual reading? It was more like mindless reading.
