  1. Hap...No, I don't agree with him that excath should leave...I was merely trying to understand the situation and defuse the ticking bomb... Oftentimes I disagree with folks here, but I never try to intentionally hurt anybody. Am I being naive to think that we all feel this way?
  2. OK...I read what Lingo posted...I understand why some were offended but I really don't think it was Lingo's INTENTION to offend anyone. His "story" was loaded with tongue in cheek sarcasm ans such...and I took his apologies to be sincere. Cut him slack why dontcha...
  3. Well stated Skyrider... I suppose a member of Hitler's gestapo could also sit and remember fondly, all the good friends he made during his time of "service". When one looks at the overall picture, an ugly depiction of abuse and manipulaton comes into focus. I have nothing but regret for my time in the corps.
  4. I don't think Martindale had a photographic memory. They taught a "memory class" in the corps, teaching how to build mental memory pegs and the such...I worked it for awhile and it does work. Martindale worked it more...that's all. What I find amazing is that all the emphasis was placed on the mechanics of memorization. Getting every exact word in the right order, etc...even though they acknowledged that the English version of the bible was a translation made by men. Was there something "spiritual" about memorizing the order of words used by tranlators from hundreds of years ago, whick originally was derived from a different language? What about the CONTENT of the verse? Seems that they should have read the verse and then asked the corps in training to explain WHAT IT MEANS and HOW IT SHOULD BE APPLIED! Nope, Martindumb was too concerned with a mental excercize where he could show off his own abilities to memorize and then demonstrate to all, how he is superior by publicly humiliating those who had not mastered his memorization techniques. What a jerkoff!
  5. So, is this a new policy for twi?...or just some limb coordinator shooting off his mouth? It would be a dramatic reversal for twi to welcome back all the former M&A folks. I mean, what about all the "devil spirits" that they would bring back with them? What this "limb coordinator" fails to realize is that a lot of us were not booted out...we walked away on our own. If they seriously want people to return, they MUST admit to ALL of the evil, the mistakes, the abuses and everything else. Of course, once they do THAT, nobody will want to return.
  6. Perhaps the answer is that they were afraid of their sins being discovered. Fear that lcm's adultry would become common knowledge, fear that folks would discover how corrupt and uncaring and dishonest they are. Fear that the abs money would evaporate...Fear, fear and more fear...that their little kingdom would fall apart if they didn't lie and try to cover their a$$es. Even today, fear is what keeps them hiding behind closed doors...turning people away from the gates of "Zion" because they are afraid and have things to hide. Of course it was not the fear itself that brought them down...there is no such thing as a "law of believing"...it was their actual sins. Bottom line...when Veepee croaked, the spell was broken and the evil was finally exposed.
  7. I recall an incident where a corps person was called upon to recite a certain retemory verse. The guy almost got it perfect...he screwed up on one pronoun...In front of 500 people, LCM tore into this guy and reduced him to tears...totally humiliated him. I couldn't help but think about the verse he "screwed up"...something about being kindly affectionate towards one another...the stark hypocracy of it hit me in the face, even then...and yes, I also lived in fear that he would one day call my name...
  8. The corps training was an excercise in manipulation through conditioning. Studying the work of Pavlov explains it nicely. For some folks, the training was devasting because they had given "their all" to the training. Others of us held back...I jumped through all the hoops but they never had my unqualified loyalty. Some of us held twi to certain standards, while others got so swept away, that twi became the standard. Those were the ones that went off the deep end. The rest of us treaded water until we reached the safe shores of sanity again. What was Veepee thinking? George hit the nail on the head. The guy was a grifter that took advantage of the situation in order to satiate his own lustful desires.
  9. When it comes to a sincere and caring heart...Roy stands tall. I admire your compassion and your desire to help others. You are a great example of a Christian man...
  10. So...when it comes to human sexuality, Lingo still embraces "waybrain"... Lingo...When the guy kissed your neck did you giggle?
  11. Another idea...go to intelius.com and pay 49.95 for a background check...they will tell you if she is divorced or not...I already checked it and they have her listed...I just didn't want to spend the money.
  12. I'm thinking that when lcm "resigned" as president, he cut a deal with the bod, that allows his wife and kids to remain in the chalet. My guess is that if they are still apart, they are divorced by now...I would suggest that if there are any Grease spot lawyers around...speak up and set us straight...it only seems logical that there must be public documentation of this somewhere... If you could see a copy of Donna's IRS tax form, it would settle the issue.
  13. Eagle...To tell you the truth, I have never heard of a twi clergy refusing to pray for someone when asked...this sounds pretty cold to me.
  14. Lucky for her that she's so good looking because I hear she's not much of a teacher.
  15. It's hard to believe that anyone can be that stupid. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I would say that perhaps he thought she bought it on the black market or stole it or something...it's hard to believe that two people could agree to such a monstous deed...it's hard enough to believe that even one person could do such a thing.
  16. ...Really? I have never read a Harry Potter book. I have watched the movies and thought they were ok, nothing special. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$ here, but I always thought that the HP books were written for 12 years olds...apparently, I'm wrong and I've been missing something?
  17. ...Way dowwwwwwwwwwn below the ocean wherrrrrrrre I wanna be she may be... damn... I can't quit singing it!
  18. Great stuff...I saw Donovan in concert back in about 1983, he did all his hits...he was fantastic....Hurdy Gurdy Man tore the house down.
  19. Interesting question... I think the answer may fall into the category of "gender perspective". I would have said the opposite...that homosexual women are accepted more than homosexual men. There is a common perception that many men enjoy watching two women together but watching two men together is repulsive. I would bet that 2 lesbians walking into a bar full of men would be more accepting to the men in the bar, than if 2 gay men walked in together. On the other hand, It's not unusual to see a group of women with a gay man with them...they even have a name for women who hang out with gay men..."fag hags". So...perhaps the answer to your question is that gay men are more accepted by straight women and lesbians are more accepted by straight men?...Just a theory.
  20. You're right Ex...I didn't mean to insult the Astrodome...perhaps a better analogy would be to compare twi hdqrts to a septic tank on an abandoned property...nothing much left in there, but it still smells bad.
  21. To tell you the truth, I think that Geer was certifiably insane. He had entered a dark place in his mind years before he dreamt up POP. This guy was so wacked out, that Wierwille made him one of his top guys. I don't know anybody who really liked him...he gave me the "willies".
  22. Hindsight is always 20/20...I remember standing up in a very "inspired" moment and shouting out..."The Bills will win the Superbowl this year!" There were a few there that may have considered me to be a prophet, I'm not sure, but in retrospect, I believe that my understanding interfered with this inspired utterance...obviously. Mal George?...Right. Why not quote one of Wierwille's chief lackeys and longtime suckups to give God's opinion of Wierwille...seems about right for a waybrain infested with cult delusions. Pay no attention to the fact that Wierwille was a sexual predator and con artist...God's opinion MUST be what Mal George said...I mean, afterall, he was a prophet! Ha ha ha ha ha... Right, and I'm the fifth Beatle.
  23. Looking at twi headquarters reminds me of the Astrodome in Houston. At one time it was the home of the Houston Astros, Houston Oilers and a multiplicity of events...today, it's mostly abandoned, they use it for the rodeo but it sits empty most of the time.
