jetc57...Not to promote a splinter group, but I think Shroyer's ministry has something like that...it's like twi of old without the legalism...and they meet every year for something similar to the roa...

Oh, I get it now...God, in His infinite wisdom, with foreknowledge...decided to choose a LOSER! This guy is gonna go off the deep end, sexually abuse women and run the whole thing into the ground!...I choose him! Makes sense to me. B)

HCW...That's funny stufff. My Gawd, it must have been awful to be that close to the action and see this obscene spectacle unfold. From a spectators point of view, I recall standing outside the new WOW ambassador auditorium...watching as waves of wayfers lined up and went marching in to see this most spectaculae show....it was finally my turn...I walked in with my group and we sat down with great anticipation... When Martindale finally came prancing out in his Aquaman uniform I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing out loud. As I watched him sashay across the floor like a ruptured chimpanzee, I realized that I was witnessing a man who had deliberately chosen to publically humiliate himself...Did he have a sprit of masochism? Had he snapped from too much pressure...but then I finally realized...no, I was watching Aquaman!

The cornfield cult has become so small that I seldom see any wayfers out and about. Several years ago I was driving down the street and saw that familiar green bumper sticker...The guy passed me going well over the speed limit...I caught up with him at the next red light and looked over at him. Didn't recognize him but he had a pained look on his face...like the sissy at school who was about to get his foot kicked by the school bully...he was fidgeting like he was about to wet himself...I figured he must be late for one of those "mandatory meetings" . When the light turned green, he sped off...me, I just shook my head and laughed.

I'm posting this on the "About The Way" forum even though it overlaps somewhat into a "Not About The Way" conversation...mainly because most of us were taught about "revelation" from twi. I have a question... ...How come none of these hot shot preachers (Including twi leaders) on TV and elsewhere never get the "revelation" when it could really do some good? Such as the disaster of 9/11...or hurricane Katrina? Thousands of lives lost and the only "revelation" that Benny Hinn ever gets is that there's some guy in the audience that is supposed to donate $1000 to his ministry. These guys are constantly spouting off how "the Lord told me today blah blah blah..." but when 9/11 happened they were as surprised as everybody else! Could it be that they are so full of .... that they're eyes are brown???

I'm sure that Veepee's kids could probably tell some real horror stories if they wanted to...but... don't forget something...this was their father. I respect their privacy as well as I respect them. I know both JP and Sarah and they are wonderful people. I have nothing but admiration for the way they have "dealt" with all of this and I wish them well.

Belle...I don't know how I strung together three seperate posts in a row...I just did it the same way I always do...hit "add reply" and let it fly. :P ...What I find curious is that I found the info on this guy in about 3 minutes...why couldn't law enforcement do the same?...
-
I just checked out the Alaska public sex offenders web site...They list him as unregistered and say that if you have any info on his whereabouts, to contact either the Alaska state police or your local law enforcement agency. The person whose address I listed, has the same name and is the same age.... It seems to me that if twi is knowledgeable of this guys "unregistered status" and is protecting him....they might be aiding and abetting?
-
I just tried information on phone...no numbers listed
-
Did a search on google... Richard L Urquhart...53 years old (a woman named Sharon Urquhart 62 years old apparently lives with him) 2 addresses listed: 3888 Maumee Bay Way, Columbus, Ohio 3697 Fossil Dr., Columbus, Ohio I don't know if this is the guy you're looking for, but it looks like it might be...If somebody wants to report him...Have at it

VPW's Source for the Law of Believing
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Bob's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
After reading Mike's response to my questions, my only conclusion is that he is insane. He has been confronted by a multitude of people at the GreaseSpot, his errors have been pointed out to him, his convoluted logic has been made plain for all to see, his idolatry has been the source of his own humiliation. He has decided that no matter what, he will NOT admit his errors. He is a man whose soul is saturated with deception, whose mind is reprobate and whose heart is filled with little black crows, furiously flapping their wings in the direction of nowhere. His circular reasoning becomes a source of frustration for anyone who tries to help him. He confuses the unshakable stand of a prophet with the stubborness of an foot. At the juncture where most of us departed from Wierwille's false doctrines and redeemed our minds, Mike chose the opposite direction and dove headfirst into the depths of deceit, like an ostrich with it's head in the sand, he refuses to acknowledge even the slightest smell of smoke, while his entire house of cards is being engulfed with the flames of the false prophet. Observing this poor soul is sad indeed...but let the words of Mike serve as an example...a reminder to all of us...of what can happen to a person when they, not only allow, but enthusiatically invite, a dangerous cult into their inner chambers and break bread with the monster of New Knoxville.... Mike is to be pitied. -
Mike contradicts himself...and then rather than admit he was wrong...avoids my questions by saying he is too overwhelmed trying to deal with 2 threads at the same time.... ...Too overwhelmed? <_<

Oh my gosh... I've always wanted biblical solutions for daily living...do you think they would take me back?

Martindale Returning - Is it a possibility?
GrouchoMarxJr replied to TaylorCompany's topic in About The Way
Perhaps the question that should be asked is...did he ever leave? During the late 70's Martindale, who was corp coordinator at the time, claimed that if twi had to go "underground", that he would be able to run things by having other people communicate his directives... Now we see his wife still there, and Rosie as president...I cannot accept the idea that Martindale would select Rosie to REALLY replace him.... The whole thing "smells funny" to me. -
...Not only that, but Wierwille PROMISED US that we would always be welcome at twi hdqrts! This is the reason that many gave their money. It may not be in writing, but there were literally thousands who heard him say it. If twi has changed their minds about this, we should be entitled to a REFUND of our cash.

VPW's Source for the Law of Believing
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Bob's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Mike says to Hammeroni..."You are not in a position to really examine the fruits in another person's life, only your own." But yet Mike feels perfectly qualified in declaring that we are "normal people" and not those special people who God gave revelation to when His word was written...HYPOCRITE!... -
Mike...I'm waiting for you to answer my questions.

Sushi...You could be right, but THAT would be the challenge of it. Just imagine...trying to live up to the standard of Craig's dancing ability? ...and Ham, sorry for the mental imagery...but I was only trying to "out" this lovely couple. I thought that if they showed all of their followers that the "present truth" now promotes homosexual behavior...that many other twi followers could also be more open with their own sexual orientation. I mean, I've been hearing the rumor for years that Howard Allen likes to wear womens clothes when he's alone in his closet.

VPW's Source for the Law of Believing
GrouchoMarxJr replied to Bob's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
So Mike, Seeing that you have admitted in another thread (The Word of God), that you are a "normal" person and not one of the "rare and special" people...how can you possibly trust your own experience of studying the writings of Mr Wierwille? Perhaps God tranformed you into one of the "special and rare" people and you are just to modest to admit it? ...because otherwise I'm confused. Are you saying that YOU can tell the difference between the true God and satan? You stated..."The reason God gave the job (that's the JOB, not the reward) of writing PFAL..." Ok, hold it right there!...How do you know this? Afterall, you claim to be a "normal" person who cannot tell the difference between the true God and satan. I think Raf had it right when he said "As for your opinion, I have already stuffed it. And flushed it. It's now where it belongs." In other words Mike...Your opinion now resides, alongside of and (probably) mixed up with Raf's "waste material"...now isn't that "rare and special"? -
I think it's time for the current leadership of twi to Remake the Athletes of the Spirit production... ...Of course Rosalie would be the star, playing the role that Martindale had previously played. Perhaps Donna could play the part of the "demon seed"...that way Rosie and Donna could cavort on stage together, the sexual tension would only add to the mix. I'm sure that the very talented Way Productions could provide the balance of dancers and write a new music score for it... ...Damn, I'd pay good money to see it.

Had Marindale walked the scenes, it wouldn't have been as funny...This production WAS a comedy, wasn't it?
