I thought I heard about something like this - LoJack for animals?? If not - I agree, that would be cool.

K C Pillai: fishy story, or just another red herring?
doojable replied to Pete's topic in About The Way
I found this: Here's the site: Mustard Tree - scroll to near the bottom of the page The answer in not conclusive - but at least it is handled honestly. -
That would have to be strapped onto the mouth...

I don't believe that it is impossible to have a calling on your life and then screw up royally. I most certainly believe that the temptations abound the more power is attained. BUT - when there is a system put in place, one that appears to have integrity, and honesty, and it is used to keep evil hidden. When it is used to protect the wrongdoers and not further honest actions, you have a greater level of evil. Now you not only have temptation, you also have the means to dally in that temptation while at the same time pretending you are still honest and have maintained your integrity. Honesty becomes replaced with lies. Integrity becomes covered in covert discussions and operations. My problem with vp is that the more you look at his life, the more you see the calling fall away and the evil surface with a vengeance. A "calling" that begins with a lie is hardly a calling at all. The snow on the gaspumps ended up being stryofoam shavings. You can't say you've been called just because you've eavesdropped on another man's calling. You can't steal a ministry that is Godly. You can put a label on the jar of pickles that says "Peaches" but that won't change the pickles on the inside. Seems VP knew this better than we realized.

Personally, I'd rather wait for the Beatles to get back together.... (Yes.. I know...)

Oh heck, IIRC in Adv. Class'79 he said something about the gold in FT Knox being removed via devil spirits. I remember because he was talking about being able to pass a solid through a solid. It never made much sense to me so I chose not to believe it.

Should VPW's Name Be Removed from The Genesis Pursuit?
doojable replied to Eagle's topic in About The Way
Eagle - I'd go back the the reason you wrote the book in the first place. Is there a message you want a broader audience to read? Life is short. Make the most of what you have. You know, just because a lot of Wayfers don't buy your book now, it doesn't mean that they won't in the future. All you need is a handful culties sneaking a peek. If your research and findings are sound those that still have a part of their minds not branded with the Way insignia on it will be able to recognize that. They will recommend the book to others. I'd make sure you're not just writing to attack. Then I'd stick to the original intent of the book. -
OM - Ask a few of the clergy who left TWI early... LCM referred to them as being "seed," "born of the devil," and such. These are men that VP and he chose for ordination. They went through the corps and they spoke in tongues for years. Go ahead, start a thread asking if anyone remembers a clergy member being called "seed." See if maybe a few of the clergy themselves answer you. I keep telling you - the goalposts got moved.
-
Then you're about to get a lesson in "moving the goalposts."

This statement places demons in the category of being more powerful than God. God doesn't need to trick devil spirits. This last statement is very, very telling IMHO. The angel of death was held back by blood on the thresholds of Israel. Ummmm... this being the blood of the lamb that was slain and eaten in the Passover meal. Jesus Christ is our Passover. I have to wonder... Would you say that God tricked the spirits there as well? He tricked them into beating and murdering His son? If so, the cornerstone of Christianity is a huge trick on the devil and his minions? (There is no resurrection without a crucifixion, for those who are about to say that the resurrection is the cornerstone of Christianity. Two parts of a whole) Spirits can be tricked by aspirin? God's plan for salvation comes down to a grand bit of trickery? What hope do we have then? We have the name of Jesus Christ, and a handful of spiritual abilities - but they have no power because we need to learn how to trick the adversary. Title of another class? (Tongue firmly planted in cheek.)

I don't know....I never think of friends as disposable. (I'm assuming you mean the relationship and not people in general.) In my opinion, a relationship that is disposable is an acquaintance. I've always thought that friendship has a sense of commitment to it. There's a greater chance that an argument will be worked out. I know this is a fast food society, but I refuse to allow that to change how I view friendship.

Happy Birthday, Catcup.

Shhhhh...you'll give away the dramatic ending.

Wait Mike, vpw DID teach that all spirit is life. He also taught that: Anything alive has spirit. Anything that has life of itself has spirit. Those two statements say it all.
-
No Mike - that spirit was not driven out. At best it was quieted down for a bit. The music/possession cycle was repeated several times. UNTIL...Remember Saul tried to KILL David while he was playing. I could be wrong here... I believe the first one to command a devil spirit out and have it STAY OUT was Jesus Christ. (Part of my research paper.)
-
If I'm not mistaken, pharmaceaia (sp?) is the Greek work for "witchcraft." It refers to the drugs used to during various pagan proceedings to make it easier for spirits to enter. Hmmmm - use of drugs to make it easier.... now a lot of other things are fitting together...
-
Did it work for Saul? Hmmmmm - he had David play for him. He got his "temporary relief." Temporary is just that TEMPORARY. Get back to the topic, Mike.
-
VP sure had some double standard... At the MOST that spirit is only put out of commission temporarily. The "telephone line" is only out of commission while the drug is in effect. And that is only IF what vpw said is true. It's still not a healing. I do see how a person could take that too far and become a substance abuser with the excuse that he's keeping the spirits at bay. VPW couldn't even keep up with his own teachings... he proclaimed men HE ORDAINED as being born of the wrong seed. You think I'm going to trust even word of anything he said about devil spirits? If there's any truth to any of it - it's still there to be found, and not from the mouth of a hypocrit... OKay... so back to the subject at hand...
-
The one person who remembered it was never in TWI. That poster was in an offshoot. Maybe it isn't so much that it slipped away unawares as much as you immortalizing every word that came from the mouth of a leacherous, pretend minister that wouldn't know a genuine healing.... oh wait - he didn't know genuine healing - or else he would have taken an aspirin.
-
I think that "aspirin" was a code word for "Drambuie."
-
If everyone gets five stars.... it's the same as having no stars each.... perhaps it can reset. I wonder if the stars can just be eliminated altogether....
-
I NEVER heard that. Not only that - I never even heard it repeated. Geez Mike, if an aspirin could drive out a devil spirit, why do we need the name of Jesus Christ? For that matter if that's the case, why do we need a saviour at all? Never mind the nine manifestations, God, Jesus, ... just take an aspirin. <_< I think that now YOU are taking something completely out of context.
