  1. You like to move the goal posts. Are you suggesting that there are keys to the Garden of Eden? Actually... I'm done. Your idolotry is getting old.
  2. The question was rhetorical to a degree. As a parent I don't hide from my kids. You're the one that said that keys unlock doors. "The keys" are supposedly ways to learn and understand the will of God. (according to PFAL IIRC) Soooo the doors are not sickness, sin and confusion and death. If my kids are in trouble I help them. I don't make them find keys to doors that lead to the car so they can drive themselves to the doctor. Or are you saying that God isn't a good a parent as I am?

    Your desk

My digital camera is out - but I purposely have one of those computer cabinets that I can close when company comes. It just looks like an armoire. It's not too bad... but I'm not a neat freak either.
  4. No Mike... YOU are the one that seems to think that God the Father wants to elude us. If the doors are locked -then WHO locked them? You only need keys to unlock a door if the person in charge of that door wants to keep certain folks out. If the hand you the keys you can get in. Are saying that God only wants certain folks in and the rest are left out in the cold?
  5. Does anyone know where the term "undershepherding" began? Was it because someone realized that there was only really one Shepherd?
  6. I was going to answer last night. I'm glad I didn't since WW said what I wanted to say - only much more coherently. Here's some context: I know what Mike meant by this. I'm not about to "deal with it from God's Word" because in Mike's mind PFAL is God's Word. That would be like using a word to define itself. Yes, D*nnie Fug1t taught it - but it was part of a series meant to promote PFAL. Besides... what did all those poor souls do when they had no PFAL as a goal to their witnessing? Oh OKAY... forget about sending Jesus Christ - because he's absent, you know. Forget about all the healings and miracles. Forget about Paul. The Gospel as a sales tool - yea that's what God's second greatest act was....
  7. That happened to me once Jonny - I had to clear my cache and all the cookies.
  8. Mike - I didn't hear that line then. I didn't take that class until I was in rez. So...Donnie Fugit did not teach the class I was in. If I heard that line, it didn't register with me. The fact that I don't remember it shows me that I either never heard it, or I never really believed it. And I don't want to feel better about that line. It's a bunch of cult BS. It reduces people from being living and breathing souls to being butts sitting in perfectly aligned seats. It reduces the Gospel from being truth to being a sales tool.
  9. It was all artificial! One day I realized that I has started to view people on in terms of their "class taking potential." THAT is using people and I wanted no part of it. I took an immediate vacation from all "witnessing." Then there was the guilt I felt for asking someone to give up 3 weeks of their time for a class that was on video - or worst - TAPE! I did the bar thing, the mall thing, the door to door thing...it all sukked!
  10. I caught some clips of the original version on YouTube.
  11. We get flyers like that now. I looked at them one or two... and even occasionally after that, but once I saw that the businesses weren't services I needed, I just tossed the whole bag in the trash. Speaking as the potential recipient, I'd think that once a month is a bit much to get the same 6 to 10 flyers. Either distibute every other month or have something like 21 businesses and only showcase 7 at a time. At holidays, you can give a special price to the businesses and put all 21 in at once - for holiday specials and the like. BUT - I'd insist that to be a part of that holiday group distribution some special offer would be required. Of course you'd have to have certain zipcodes targeted. Just brainstorming...

  13. T-Bone - to be fair, the indoctrination of hired hands wasn't completely effective - you and Tonto are proof of that. I believe the ultimate goal of the program was to create a network of hired hands - who were so deceived that they thought they were actually were doing shepherd's work. On another note: Those Corps meetings and weekends.... they sukked! We didn't just attend them- we endured them. They were a necessary evil that came with signing up to be Korps. It seems to me these meetings only served to foster division - or to somehow promote the program. (ie -"If you want to know what happens at these special events - sign on the line.") The idea that we were more spiritual was only set forth to make us guilty about what we weren't doing. There was no special teaching" - except to tell us that we had to do a better job getting classes together. The face-meltings were more prominent because "we were all Korps." While folks who didn't go to these meetings felt like they were lowly and not spiritual enough to handle what we were learning, we were being yelled at for not being spiritual enough and not able to handle what the MOGs wanted us to learn. Occasionally we were told that we had greater resposibility because we had more training and knowlege. I never saw beer at these meetings or felt like I was having a party. My WOW family always felt sorry for me because I had to go to one of these things while they visited after a meeting or enjoyed their day off. I always shared everything I learned and heard. I wasn't privy to any secrets and I never was in a meeting where non-corps were discussed in a negative fashion. Then of course the Korps always knew that if they were "really special", they'd get to be clergy someday - that's where the real teaching was... <_< It wasn't right. It wasn't fair. IT WAS A CULT!
  14. Similiar to what we call "Pigs in a Blanket" or even Sausage Kolaches... I bet the English version is much classier.
  15. Thanks Outfield. I was told that "egg in bread thing" was called a "One-Eyed Sailor."
