  1. I forgot to remember so many of those things.... I do remember this one thing though: When I was at HQ, someone taught that you should always buy only whole chickens. Apparently if a chicken has cancer or some other disease, only the infected part is cut out and not sold - the rest becomes "parts." :o Everything else ...well... I may have heard it, but I've slept since then! ;)

    Nutcracker 2007

I didn't make that big of a fuss this year - but my girls performed in the Nutcracker with their ballet school on Dec.8, 2007. My camera is funky at best, so this year I took no photos myself. For those who are interested, you can see the stills from the dress rehearsal (and a few Snow shots from the actual performance.) Some of you know my girls and will be able to pick them out. For everyone else, enjoy some great shots of kids working their legs off to perform a very nice Nutcracker. SSBA Nutcracker - 2007 Press "Continue" at the bottom of the page and it will take you to the photos. I've known most of these kids since they were just starting out in ballet, so to see them doing what they just accomplished brings tears to my eyes....
  3. John - Here you and I agree. (I guess that means the end of the world is coming! ) My point was that it seemed to me that that book and Raymond's mother had too much in common.
  4. That sounds like a question best answered by you. I didn't get the impression that the woman had to want sex all the time - just make her hubby think she did/does. It seems the point of the book is that the woman should be ready for anything - 24/7. I never read that book. I think it was required reading for in-rez women who were going to be getting married in the Corps weddings - but I really don't know for sure.
  5. Hey DWBH - my girls love this kind of dancing! My oldest used to dance this way after she saw Riverdance on PBS. I have a drawing student who has competed in this form of dance in Europe. He's won awards!
  6. Dan Fogelburg - "Leader of the Band"
  7. Will Groucho be dancing with an assortment of his groupies? He'll need an interpretive dance version of "The Present Truth." I hear he's gonna do push ups and 6 oz curls while his minions dance in ever widening and more frantic circles. Tickets are free but there is a suggested donation of $99.99.
  8. ...snowmen are counted in the census.
  9. ...If ice cubes are used as building materials.
  10. Interesting... read the customer reviews on this book: HERE :o So I wonder.... is this what men really want? Does any man out there want to be thought of as a walking imbecile that can be lead around by "the Little General"????? Sure.. I can see a mutually agreed upon fun time occassionally, but if I were a man I'd be highly insulted by a book that teaches this kind of stuff as a lifestyle. IMHO- all manipulation is wrong.
  11. Pink Floyd: "Us and Them"
  12. This is blaring from the girls' rooms as I type: "Falling" (Nice piano intro too...I'm not sure but I think it's a bit of the Brandenburg Concerto...Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
  13. "Harlem's Nocturne" and "Rock With You":
  14. The "Song of the Moment" in my house is whatever my kids are listening to....They sometimes listen to "Mom's music" (Pink Floyd, Queen, Elton John...etc) sometimes I listen to their music...Here's one we all claim. There's some nice Piano here...Alicia Keys - "If I Ain't Got You"
  15. I read threads like this and others in this section and think about that line, "The more things change, the more they remain the same." It's sad.... really, really sad.
  16. The Killers - "Somebody Told Me"
  17. BTW - I checked and I do have the correct first line to the song...
  18. Lenny Kravitz - "Stillness of Heart" "Lady"
  19. Excie - I think Lulu looks a little like you... that's all.
  20. I didn't know you sang that song, Excie...
  21. This was released in October: "Saving My Face"
  22. I posted this before...But I just love her and that "Slap guitar" reference made me think of herKT Tunstall - "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree"
