George, That piece you linked to is lovely. Did I read it correctly? Is that done in lacquer? I'd like to believe that artists are born :) but I also believe that there is a little bit of an artist in a most folks. (maybe only one or two molecules though... :) )
  2. He just loved the smell of gunpowder in the morning...
  3. "WE?" Pray tell, who's "we" WhitemanDove? Training? Heck I was part of the leadership training program and I don't believe I was trained. Though on another note, I do see how you can believe you were trained. Training can serve to cause a person to obey commands and give predetermined responses. BTW - we had lots of access to the Bible. (I did before I got into twi - the Bible was right ... there... on the bookshelf.) So what? There was little if any access to Biblical understanding.
  4. Yeah - but then there were those awful sweatsuits...
  5. So when Satan quoted scripture to Jesus he was speaking truth? Hmmmm... you might want to re-think that. He spoke the words. The scripture was quoted, but so out of context that there was no truth in them. Words of truth were used to deceive. Seems that intent and character do come into play and do need to be considered. As I recall it's referred to as "Jesus being tempted." The point is that tricky vic knew just enough scripture to deceive and tempt.
  6. Walk? It's more like skating. Yea... I was known for the... ummmm... creative passes that allowed me to get in to class late from whatever art class I had just finished. Even then I usually showed up to class covered in whatever it was I was working with. There I was... First period, Art - "Printmaking" to be more specific. Mrs. P told us to clean up and for once I did what she told me. Really. Honest. Everything was fine until the tray with the acid spilled. "Hunh...not too bad. I'll just wash it off. Uh oh... Mrs P! My pantyhose are disintegrating! I'm gonna need a real good pass this time!"
  7. Ribbit! "Mrs. P I need a pass to Biology again. The acid bath spilled and my pantyhose are melting..." I'm just glad I finally discovered the proper way to enjoy limes - in Margueritas or Mojitos.
  8. At least you stopped calling me "Grimey" :)
  9. What happened to you that you are controlled by your emotions where they dictate truth? Who made you the definer of truth? You wouldn't know truth if it sat down beside you and offered to buy drinks for everyone. BTW - the whole "Your emotions... blah blah blah" line is a bunch of BS. You don't know me. If you did you wouldn't even attempt that line on me. It's just a red herring you use to deflect your own vile addiction to the victoid's religion. Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with God. This has everything to do with you finding something - anything - to justify your actions and beliefs (Gawd forbid you're wrong... *shudder*) Let me get this straight... Someone can see something, feel something, experience something - all FIRST HAND - but you don't accept it as truth? Because it wasn't documented? Because it wasn't in the Bible? Because YOU say it didn't happen??? Yet - any court of law would accept an eyewitness account over hearsay any day. Maybe you've become a legend in your own mind - but you haven't fooled most of us.
  10. You have a staggering capacity for denial WD. You're logic is illogical. Your use of scripture is scripturally inept. Your standard for truth is a lie. Maybe the Bible isn't telling you so afterall...
  11. Fear? So tell me. Just how "godly" is a ministry that says that fear from the devil and yet uses it to manipulate people? Then please tell me just how much Kool-aide you drank...
  12. Don't Worry - be happy! :) I'll take a sad song and make it better. Dancing and shoes - only a few ways to improve on that - good food and good fun. Party on, Dude. Thanks for the well wishes
  13. Okay... I got these shoes last week: I'm considering my next purchase pretty carefully. ;) Thanks to everyone for the wonderful Birthday wishes. I had to work today - but the dancing will commence soon enough. On a more serious note... My girls asked how old I was... "32 Mom?" I pay them well. ;)
  14. Thank you Ala and everyone for the kinds words. And the great shoe suggestions. Work is calling me today - I may require a shoe shopping trip to cheer me up ;)

    Digress on, Dude.
  16. Amazing... Kristin talks about her life and the abuse and deceit and manipulation that came from THE MAN OF GAWD and all WD can do is talk about a book. A BOOK! A friggin' paperback book that is worth about $2.00. How about the value of a life? What is a soul worth? Who cares what is written if those words are like poison? Life is lived- not read. Truth is much more than words on a page and the fact that you cling to your precious Blue Book like it is the Holy Grail speaks to the emptiness that resides within you. And before you come back with some semi-snappy smart-arsed, poorly written and more poorly spelled retort expounding the fundamentals of WD Logic, please consider that there is another book you're supposed to be more connected to and it states many times and in many ways that people hold more value to God than laws and logic. BTW- an emotional response to that interview is appropriate and right. If you can't see that no amount of scripture really means a damn - not in the Bible and certainly not in any one of the collaterals. What happened to you that you don't allow yourself to feel?
  17. I think I'll just let that comment sit awhile.
  18. So you didn't comment on Kristin's story but you saw a blurb about the Blue Book and you just had to set the record straight? All this because a comment was made about the victoid's apologists - oh but I forgot - you're not one of them. <_< Oh yea - there's no scripture supporting any of that... I'm dropping this now - arguing with you on this point is like trying to teach my cat calculus.
  19. BTW - why are you so uptight about Groucho referring to Wierwille apologists if that shoe doesn't fit you? How many times have you painted yourself in this corner? You really should learn where the door is...
  20. So - if I ask you what you had for breakfast and you tell me you had eggs and bacon and coffee, since there are no scriptures that support that claim, I should assume that you are NOT telling me the truth? WTF? BTW - if you had noticed - the subject is Kristin Skedgell's interview - NOT the Blue Book. Oh and FYI - that book isn't scripture.
  21. WD - you're using circular logic again. The doctrine was NEVER only "complete in Him" and you know it. The Blue Book has a bunch of error in it that doesn't work, doesn't fit and doesn't follow scripture. Why hold it up as truth? Being smug doesn't serve your purposes. I read what you wrote: To which I answered: My point - since it may have been too subtle for you, hence you may have missed it, is that while scripture isn't based on human flaws, HOW the victoid picked his poison... errrr ummm doctrine, was most likely based on his deep-seated character flaws. Now - HOW are you judging the whole of his doctrine as being truth? Anyone can string some verses together and make a doctrine. That's not truth. That's manipulation.
  22. How can anyone separate tricky vic's doctrine from his d1ck? It had nothing to do with gawd. Not a dammed thing to do with truth. It only had to do with feeding the victoid's lusts and appetites. It was about making him look more important and more than some guy born in a cornfield. In the end he was still just the cornfield preacher - only he was worst because he dragged the lives of many through that dammed cow manure.
  23. Isn't it entirely possible that a person with severe character flaws will choose to believe and teach a doctrine that furthers their personal agenda? Scripture may not be based on character flaws - but a doctrine that abuses the interpretation of the scripture and hurts innocents in the name of God is not truth - it is a flawed doctrine. Who's to say that what the victoid taught was truth? He put forth an interpretation of scripture that he got from other men. That set of lessons served his purpose. He could have found other doctrines that weren't as controversial - and put them forth as truth. Just because you believe his doctrine to be truth doesn't make it so.
  24. Maroon 5- "Wake-Up Call" Warning- racy video!
  25. Spurt of Way Cornfield Gulag ...COME OWT! ;) Okay, now go listen to Pink Floyd and sing sin no more.
