Ok - you guys THINK You saw that pic of a girl and you thought"she" (hint hint) Amazingly - you were willing to think "tart" for well, OK, - a tart - but that was wrong

It seems to me that lcm also taught "forgive and FORGET." He's the one who said that true forgiveness requires forgetting. Hmmmmmmm so let's see : Lcm said that forgiveness had to be asked for ( but he never has) Lcm said that to tuly forgive one must also forget( wouldn't THAT be convenient for him) BUT here a few of us have presented scripture that states the opposite of what lcm taught. You don't have to wait for someone to ask for forgiveness and you don't have to forget. Now, whaddya" gonna do?

Mike, I don't think I ever engaged you on the matter of Adam naming th animals. I do think you have a problem with this logic though, especially if you are going to also keep PFAL in it's status of being absolutley rigth on every point.Genesis states that GOD created soul life in the animals. In PFAL, vpw stated that "soul" is what make "you you." Presumalbly that would be the same for the animals. God made the animals what and who they are. Adam's naming of them was supplemental to all the God did. I'm not going into this subject anymore until I've had some more time to look at it in depth - so I'm asking for an hiatus on it. Now regarding Nicodemus...... according to pfal, Jesus ushered in the Christ administration. If you look carefully you will see that this has 2 elements to it 1. the fulfilling of the Law and accomplishing salvation 2. the preparation of the people who would live in the next administration So, it only makes sense that Jesus would be the only one who could start and introduce that subject - since it would be his death and resurrection that wuld make the new birth possible. Only Jesus could point to the "so what's next" factor of redemption. After all, for centuries the Jewish people had waited for the Messiah, now that he had come - Now what? I lean more towards the fact that being born of the seed of the serpent is not what vpw said it was. That it was not Satan's counterfiet of the new birth. ( and Yes, vpw said this many many many times in the Advanced class. - It might not have been written down - but if there are many eyewitnesses that have the same notes in their syllabi - then there you go -It was said! I'm not going to accept that all those people heard things wrong.) -

Yes, "War of the Worlds" is correct. Tom - I had to find something other that "war' and some of the "Whore" pics probably would have gotten me kicked off GS. Soooo "quack whore" won. (Besides, I thought you'd all get a kick out of that lipstick and heels, and of course that topless outfit with the red "leather" skirt.) Now George goes. I'm starting to get used to you guys - scary, huh?

Ok Mike, Back to one of my problems with one of your recent posts: I can't find the exact quote (because I'm tired of sifting through the drama to find it) but you said something to the effect that we do not have the Bible. UMMMMMM... your incorrect. I'm going completley from memory here so bear with me. Dr said ( and wrote I beleive in the section regarding the God-breathed Word) that today the bibles we hold cannot really be called "THE WORD OF GOD." What we have at best are various versions that have been translated from various manuscripts. Sometimes we only have a small piece of a manuscript. Sometimes we have a newer manuscript that has been translated from an older text. NOW HERE IS THE POINT: Dr wrote: To the degree and to the extent that we rightly divide the scriptures we will have the WORD OF TRUTH. We must Rightly divide the Word if we want to have God's Word. So - we do have Bibles. As a matter of fact, the word "bible" simply means "book." We have LOTS of those. Now regarding my other matter - how subjects are subjected to spin. I'm going to qoute the class a gain to the best of my recollection. Dr wrote that "85-90% of the Bible could be understood if we would just READ IT. Most of the Bible did not need a scholar telling everyone what he thought in a large commentary. ( yet it does seem that every time we turned around that statement was contradicted because there was some "special" knowledge we didn't have.) AFTER reading the scriptures, apparent contradictions could be understood by looking at the context. Then, all scripture interprets itself in the verse , in the context, or where a word or words were used before (first use/ word studies.) The unclear verses were to be intrpreted in light of the many clear verses and not the other way around. We were FIERCELY warned against private interpretation. We were NEVER to approach the scriptures by simply reading them and then casually citing what we thought. or what we saw. All this I write because I wish you would treat the words that you quote by Dr with this same method. You say these are God breathed words - then just start with reading what is written - not reading INTO what is written. That my friend is sloppy research. Take the unclear statements in light of the many, many, clear statements. I was taught to look at not only what was said but also what was NOT said. (Dr never said, " Kids, the class is the Word of God.) he did say "The Word the Word and nothing but The Word!." In the context of his life (For argument's sake, I'm not getting into all the scandalous stuff that some of you are seething about - so calm down, I need to make this point.) and what we understood him to be saying he was talking about the Rightly Divided scriptures - NOT every workd that came out of his mouth - or pen. I have never been allowed to graduate the Corps if I wrote my research paper ( Which was on "Apostles" btw) if I handled the scriptures the way you sometimes handle vpw's word's and in turn our words. Ex10 and I have voiced frustration because you tend to "see" things in our words that we have never tried to communicate. please start with keeping it simple. Read what is written. You don't have to take unclear words in light of clear words because you can ASK us what we mean. We can't do that with Moses, or Paul - or vpw anymore for that matter. I'm not trying to convince you to leave PFAL. It's obvious that I have retained some of it - but, ( and I'll correct myself here) I have rejected huge sections of the class because it was built on logic that didnt' even follow the very system that PFAL set forth. I am very clear on that point. I do believe that if vpw was able to he'd be screaming from the grave, "NO!" when you propose some of the stuff you propose. -
"Bananas" (Duh!) gettting a bit tired of this game are we?

Mike, Please be careful here. You come across as a victim and that is not the case. You are a willing participant in these proceedings. "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it," as my hubby would say. Besides, as long as you play the victim, you will definitely not gain any respect. I know that you have felt ignored in the past by Corps. ( I think that is what you posted a while back.) People here don't really know you other than through your posts and they are not ignoring you or looking down their noses at you. (Well, OK some have put you on ignore - but that's their right. Others just ignore a lot of stuff by not clicking on the forum.) This really has nothing at all to do with WHO is doing the teaching as much as the message that is being presented. For a true student -teacher relationship to exist, there must be two willing parties. Perhaps you feel comfortable in the role of teacher - but I don't really see any willing students. Now perhaps you have had some PM's by folks that have said, "Ureka! You've found it! I've been waiting for this all my life since twi!" If that is the case, then THEY are your students. The rest of us here are engaging in debate. Some of it friendly, some not so much. I for one, still find too many holes in your logic. There is a LOT of assumption and "I see...here..." for my tastes. I really do feel like I am sometimes talking to a spin doctor. I remain polite, and cordial, and frustrated. I point to the fact that I did master the class about 20 years ago and dropped it about 13 years ago. So I do not remember all the little things you say are evidence of mastery - but I know that I know that at one time I could have answered you and that is fine with me - because I see no need to prove myself to you or anyone else here. Not being rude - just honest. -
Right-y-o! Have at it, George!

Ck - I am very clear on what you believe. What I am not clear on is what you hope to accomplish on this site ( all of it, not just this thread.) I have read many of your posts and you are very hostile. It seems no matter what is said to you, you come back with a sarcastic answer or an insult. Do you really care what the people here think? Or are you looking for those that share your opinion? It sure comes across like you are setting a trap and waiting to pounce. If that's the case - is it fun for you? BTW my age is accurate, as is the state I posted. Some don't put their true birthdays down because it's like to old joke that we oldies used to say that we were perpetually 39. some think its no one's business. If you come picking a fight don't be surprised to get one. You have taken an unpopular position - so it's not uncommon to get razzed on that point. I'd recommend a much thicker skin and a better sense of humor. ciao

Mike, I think you just ended your own thread -
So then what is all this talk about the person asking for forgiveness. I might be reading this wrong, but it seems as if a person doesn't ask for forgiveness and repent - well then he doesn't get forgiven. OTOH evev if he asks well "No way Jose" because he's too anxious for it. Or maybe because he wants is too badly? Huh??Doesn't it seem like God is asking us - or telling us - to forgive and let Him sort things out? That releases you from the resposiblity of figuring out if the perp has truly repented. ( Seventy times seven! doesn't that seem like a lot to you???) I wasn't abused by lcm or any other leader while in twi. I was abused later on - and I have forgiven that person - but I do not trust him at all. I was abused mentally by my step monster. I forgave her - that took much longer - and it happened in degrees. Now in the (hypothetical) event of the murder of my child... - I hope that if it ever came to that, that I could forgive in time. But I know it would take a VERY long time. BTW - I have never said "forgive and FORGET!!!" I believe that to truly forgive you must remember. God forgets - Thankfully and by His will. After all, an abusive hubby "repents every time he beats his wife - then she forgives him. Seems to me she needs to forgive (eventually) him and get thousands of miles away from him. PRONTO!! She NEEDS to remember, so that she become a victim again. Now I'm not saying it would be her fault that she got beaten - but no matter what she would need to remove herself from the situation while he "worked out his problems" so-to-speak. like Jonny said - you have to actively forgive until it is a part of you - it's in degrees. Rascal - I'm at the same place as you. Not trying to tell you what to do or feel - glad that we could get along if we knew each other better.

For you rascal: ( did you read my post: #119?) Luke 17:1-4 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe unto him , through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone werehanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying I repent; thou shalt forgive him. The next verse reads: "And the apostles said unto theLord, Increase our faith." and starts a new topic so I didnt' quote it. Now I didn't quote the similiar section in Matthew I just referred to it so her it is for you rascal: Matt 18:18-35 is the whole section but I won't quote the all impertant parable in the latter 12 verses - I assume everyone has a Bible and can look it up - and it has already been handled expertly by Mark. Matt 18:18-22 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in themidst of them. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him. I say not unto thee , Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Therefore is the kindom of heaven likened unto a certain king... Rascal - That is all that I have in my Bible for both sections. Do you have a version that reads differently? There is no mention of repentance in this second section of scripture, ( although to be fair it is implied in the parable which follows) which IMHO, is Jesus's telling Peter not to just do what the standard for the day was - but to go WAY WAY overboard with forgiveness - but I did make the point that John (in my little story) repented - all 70 times seven - please go back and read it. My point is that after all those 490 times isn't it tempting to doubt whether or not someone has truly repented? I mean come on..... And - I have found many more verses that do not count repentance as a prerequisite for forgiveness. I did not quote all that I found but I figured that you would be willing to quote me your list. I'll keep looking - as a matter of fact i was looking tosee if I could find more verses that would support your point of view...and I'll continue - I believe in honest research. I'll continue and post as I find stuff - Not wanting to fight here. I think that if we met on the street and talked we would like each other and maybe even respect each other - but agree to disagree on this point. I don't mind being proved wrong - but I honestly did not find tons and tons of verses that say that repentance must preceed forgiveness. I did see that if someone asks for forgiveness we are to forgive. I did see where an offender is supposed to repent. But I also saw many, many, many, more times where forgiveness was offered without being asked for. So again - do you have to forgive without repentance? - No. Can you? Yes. Will you? Apparently not - according to what you have said - and that's fine with me.

An past acquaintance of mine had several children all of them born naturally. The first and second were born at home with a midwife. For the third child they decided to go to a birthing clinic. Perhaps because with two kids this would be better for everyone. Anyway, on the way to the clinic my friend announces that the baby is coming RIGHT NOW! Hubby pulls over and checks his wife, and tells her its time to start pushing. Now, the oldest. a girl, is rubbing mom's hair and being real attentive. The son, maybe 4 or 5 years old, is way in the back of the van playing with his trucks - "VROOM VROOM!" Labor, screaming, cut the cord, and back on the road to the clinic to have mom and baby checked out. The son is clueless. Finally he comes up to the front and looks at mom and says, "Hey! Where did that baby come from?!!"
