I always play with the way there are so many similiarities between the foods of different cultures. SO - here we have a fruit and meat sitting on bread - Pizza? I think not... Call it something else - but don't call it pizza.

SUV drivers who think that because they have a big car they can drive well in the snow or rain (usually the ones I see on the sides of the road.) Here in Texas - its the guys in "pick-'em up trucks" that think that just because they've got a big truck that will haul everything around on dry land, they can halu a$$ on ice. ICE mind you! We don't get snow here really, even if it does snow the roads are icy. Worst: A SUV driver, on the phone, in sleet! HANG UP AND DRIVE!!! Then second to that - pineapple on pizza.

EXCEPT-----that ITALIAN pie has BREAD dough for a crust and not pastry or cookie dough. BTW I have had pineapple and canadian bacon on pizza once, (ONCE!) it was sorta OK - but not im my opinion a pizza. It was just another meal with bread as it's base. You know, like wanton's are really just Chinese ravioli? (or vice versa)

Funny thing is, Shaz, she doesn't even want to study art in college - she wants to be a forensic scientist! Both my girls play the piano, and take ballet (with 2 russian teachers - one was with the Bolshoi and the other with the Moscow ballet.) Now the younger one WANTS to be an artist - today anyway. I have told the girls that they don't have to make their art their career - but that they should not let these talents die. After all, I see it all as a gift from God - not only to the person but also to the people touched by the music, dance, art etc. I have encouraged them in the arts because I see the benefit of being well rounded. I also have seen how the arts allow expression and fuel thinking skills... I've gotta start a new thread on what I've learned being a Drawing teacher..

I have no problem with the disagreements. What I continually have a problem with is the tendency - which stems from the anonymity of the Forum style of communication - to really say things that are much more hurtful than we would ever say in person. I for one will not go back to treating people like dirt ( although I'm not sure I was a Corps nazi) nor will I EVER allow myself to be treated like dirt again. There is a civil way to argue. There is a godly way to have and show anger. There is a way to disagree and not take the person DOWN - while also stooping to a level that no person get to. There is a lot of disagreement here - fine. We are adults and we can be responsible. I'm not pointing any fingers - I don't really get involved in the frays as much as I used to.
