When things get heavy around here I like to find some humor in the simple things in life. Here goes: My youngest daughter heard this song on the local Christian radio station - titled "I Am a Friend of God." The chorus goes like this" "I am a friend of God I am a friend of God I am a friend of God He calls me Friend" Now you all know how these singers can sing one word and another comes out. (Like "Reverend Blue Jeans) Well, anyway - one day she says "Why does God call me Fred?" We chuckled and asked what she meant. She said that the song said that if you're a friend of God, He calls you Fred. Now we can't listen to that song without smiling. Got anymore? I'm trying to think of some real doozies - but help me out here.

I'm feeling a strong urge to tell the story of what happened in Texas. I'm sure there are similiar stories from AZ- are there any folks here who witnessed the destruction in the early '80's in Arizona? Wanna share?

Kindness - wow - good subject. I learned kindness from good people way before twi. I practiced kindness all through my years in twi. I was the recipient of kindness on more than one occasion - mostly by the "joe and jane believers." My first "Twig leader" (remember when they were called that?) bought me a brand new Bible - the expensive Oxford kind - just because she said she wanted me to have it. In Manhattan we were like family in the late 70's. We stuck together like glue and helped each other move, cooked for each other and spenyt as much time with each other as we possibly could. We just treated each other like family - that generates a lot of kindness. I do not recall any bickering - if it happened it wasn't in front of me. At PFAL classes - we didn't just provide snacks - they were MEALS - because so many folks had to get there straight from work.

Igotout - dear H*l*n is in deep denial - K*n allegedly had to ORDAIN the last woman he boinked here because she threatened to out him completely and there were already so many rumors running around that he knew that he would lose whatever respect he had left from people here. Bad news! - I'm sure he's not boinking Ann - but he'll "boink" her by talking her out of money. Boy, I wish I could post a big billboard out there.... I have so many stories of destruction - he treated folks well until he was done with them. PM me if you think you need more info.

Ok so let me explain some of this from the original post... Intuition - self explanatory - but not language ( a left brain preference) Slow - DOING things slowly is "preferred" by the right brain Complex - Complex is preferred over simple and quick (as opposed to the quick symbols the left brain prefers) Real - As opposed to symbolic - Symbols are valuable - we use them in the alphabet, music notation, etc. Emotions as opposed to logic and reasoning Listens and Sees- as opposed to ears and looks Ok so now what? Well once again I am fully aware that we need both halves to process information. I just think that its possible that too much emphasis was placed on left brain stuff. In my classes I teach kids how to draw by reaching into their right brain abilities. According to studies, drawing what one sees is the only purely right-brained activity. Music is about half and half. While the written music is a language, and there is a lot of logic in music in general, there is an awful lot of emotion and intuition in music. Any person that can improvise, or tell you a note just by the sound - thats's right brain work. So, I teach kids to draw using techniques that get them away from their built in symbols. Just ask any 5 year old to draw a picture of their family - the whole family will look the same with the exception of hair length, color and height. This is normal and natural for this age - because children have to develop language through symbols. Symbols - geez that's a whole other post - I'll get back to you. carry on and banter.

Ok IF this is the same Rev Ken that has a last name that begins with an "S" and IF this man was in Texas for a Long@$$ time - then he is the scum of the earth. This is his way - he gets in with a sucessful group, learns what works for them and mimics them , becomes involved and trusted. THEN he starts to move on his own. He pulls followers away from the original ministry and tries to start his own. AND while he does this - he boinks as many of the women as he possibly can - all this while trying to keep up the pretense of being a minister collecting abs. How do I know this? Try watching the destruction unfold before my eyes. In the process he told the local believers that I had walked away from God. Oh - and no, he didn't boink me - but he sure as heck tried. Just for the record - I'm not accusing anyone of spreading rumors - nor do I really have a dog in this fight. I just know what happens when talk moves. If this is true it is truly sad - but at least you are informed and can move on if you need to.

Soooooo - has anyone talked to any of the "perpetrators" directly? I'm not a fan of the rumor mill - seems to me that our "official motto" in rez was "It is Written" but our unoffical and much more common motto was "It Is Rumored" I do not attend any ex twi affiliated groups - just don't care to - Even if they are repeating the mistakes of the past - we shouldn't OK now I better run - the grenades are being launched.......

The way that I understand that "more neurons" (not MORONS - RumRunner) is that women think more "simultaneously" than men. Guys still use both halves - but the impulses dont communicate as much. Once again - not sure I said this right....Is there a geek in the house?

Thanks everyone - now before we get off on a weird tangent - don't get me wrong..... I'm not saying that the Left-brain is evil or anything. I test as being Left-brain dominant - I'm just very accustomed to slipping into right-brain mode - or "Alpha-mode" as some call it. I'll post some more later - I'll have to describe things in terms of the visual arts - but I'm sure that many out there will help me out. Again - I'm NOT saying that to receive revelation you must be right-brained - I am saying that a lot of emphasis is placed on only the left half of the brain - in lots of areas of thought.

It's always good to gain perpective - IMHO. Just because a bunch of fools don't see the value in a person - doesn't mean that person isn't precious to God. Never allow yourself to not believe how wonderful you are. I'm learning that the hard way....

in fact the educational system in the USA is mostly geared towards left-brained learning
