  1. Sounds like something from "Little Shop of Horrors"........
  2. At first I read Twinky's post like she was angry with JJ. After I looked at it more closely, it occured to me that she is trying to avoid yet another guru. At least I think that's what she meant in her post.....Am I correct in this assumption Twinky?
  3. Tom Strange has dirty fingers...? Or are they just nasty?

    Silly Sayings

Hey Mark - do you have a recording of your rendition of Shadrack, Meshak and Abednego??? I swear it was like listening to Arlo Guthrie! If you do - post it! Please ;)
  5. That may warrant some experiments..... ;)
  6. Thanks! I'll use my own spaghetti sauce after I make it for spaghetti. The girls want to know if I can make spaghetti sauce in the crock pot - I think I can but not with sausage and meatballs..I'd imagine the grease would be horrible have you ever tried it?
  7. Can you say "Road kill?" :biglaugh:
  8. OK I went and bought a 6 qt programable crock pot. I figure it will be real helpful for those evenings when I come in from work and we have just a short time before we head back out the door for a rehearsal or a meet. Anyone got any great recipes (please mention how big your crock pot is so that I can adjust accordingly.)

LAE - Here's what I was saying..... Our history in TWI was such that many of us thought that we could prove conclusively certain things from the Bible. My twenty years out of TWI have taught me that nearly anyone can prove anything they want to using scripture. The same is true of the law. The same can be true in science - such as in this case of evolution vs. creation. As for that other thread - I have no idea who was chasing Jonny anywhere...and I won't discuss it further here.

I'm not sure that any of this can be proven conclusively one way or the other. Furthermore, I think it is the height of arrogance to presume that we can conclusively state anything that happened thousands of years ago, let along millions of years ago. I'm not saying that the Theory of Evolution is wrong, nor am I saying that the Creationist theory is wrong. I'm saying that we can't prove anything..... It seems to me that there is "evidence" to no end to prove what anyone wants proven. Didn't we learn anything from our time in TWI?
  17. "Koi Pond" is quite small. So, I got plenty concerning the size.... To see the others you need to go through my gallery "Paintings" and find them: "The Collaborators" "Picnic" (It's the one with the blonde girl - (Picnic 1), I think.)
  18. Thanks Rottie! I wouldn't have asked if I had heard the sound bites...

Garth - I'm not staking a claim in this argument. I think there is most like some truth in both arguments - but I have neither the expertise nor the inclination to argue the matter. I merely stated something I remembered - you guys can duke it out.
  20. How did a two year old know to call 911? I think someone dialed the number and put the reciever in his hand. I can't get the audio to come up on this computer - so will someone please fill me in here? Could he have been coached?

    Snooty Pans

"Snooty pans and kitchenware seem the best as long as the cook puts the love in and not the snooty!" And definitely not the snotty!
  22. I'm looking into the possiblities of printing giclees...the small ones would end up selling for about $50 apiece....... That's for an 11"x14" I need to get more information... Thanks for the support everyone!

    Snooty Pans

I have a set of Le Creuset - enameled cast iron. It was given to me by a woman that no longer could handle using cast iron everyday. I love it! The frying pan that came with it was beautiful - cast iron (no enamel) with a long wooden handle. Unfortunately, that pan split in two (long story) but I now have just a very old, well seasoned, cast iron skillet. I just purchased a 6 qt crock pot - for those days when we get in late from rehearsals or track meets.....
