  1. I'd say this LCM was feeling ".....whipped": Woman: terminal bitchiness thinking the sun rises out of her vagina and the moon and stars out of her brain. Man: Delivered from the constant threat of being neutered While he whimpers to feed me and .... every other minute. I don't know any man that lives with the constant threat of being neutered....

Jonny once learned to make beans And he served them for various means. They gave him some gas! Flames were lit from his... Then he had holes in his jeans! :biglaugh:
  3. I heard many a strange thing to that effect from more than one MOG. Quite frankly, when I read that I thought he must've been drunk when he said it. And just what is an "External vagina" anyway???? :o I'm not even sure I want to think about what he could have meant...
  4. I'm not sure if I asked the questions you answered - but thanks! See you around the boards Deciderator. ;)
  5. Why is the thread gone? Where did it go??? It was just getting good too...dagnabbit!
  6. Google "Restaurant supplies" and that will give you a good start. You can also look in the Yellow Pages for your town. (If I'm correct you live in a major metropolitan area.) Again, look under the heading, "Restaurant Suplies." Some places will be open to the public, others will only sell to restaurants.
  7. Actually, I was referring to something else. I saw a tenacious, almost desparate to keep the class set in stone. It was almost as if the class had been breathed out by God Himself... I won't finish that statement. I feel the wagons circling already...
  8. The funny thing is that VPW said himself that the class would one day need to be re-taught. I assumed his thinking was that as the culture changed, the class would also have to change. I also thought he implied that the class was the best that he knew at that time and as more of the Word was understood, the errors would need to be corrected. This proved to be a wrong assumption on my part. <_<
  9. People are basically creatures of habit. Here in the South, you often see families that have been members of the same church for generations. If something happens that angers them, the first thing you're likely to hear is, (My great-grandfather came to this Church when it was first started." To which, I now reply, "SO?" I believe that God used TWI as a tool for many of us to get closer to Him. BUT - even though many, many of us wanted to have a closer relationship with Him, and we talked about "all nine, all the time," when the time came to actually listen to that still small voice and get out, we stayed. WHY? The answers are varied. Some never bothered to ask if they should leave because it was "their ministry." Others kept shooing away that Godly admonishment and told themselves to "just renew their minds." I can go on and on - but you get the picture. My opinion is that if PFAL had been treated like a class instead of the basis for a ministry, things would have gone a lot better for many of us. Okay, back to chopping squirrel - dang sharks! ;)
  10. *Dooj starts frantically chopping up squirrel sausage..* I Ditto on the  "Biscuits 101" will be held in the Kitchen forum... Hey! I just cook it and serve it. It's not my fault that you got here two hours later than everyone else...;)
  11. I'm thrilled for you, Chas! I think a dog is a "must have" when there are boys in the house. We had a Dalmation for years and my girls are better for it.
  12. Larry, I'm not easily offended.;) I believe that you and Deciderator both got in TWI either after I left or as I was leaving, (along with a LOT of others.) There was a different feel in the air when I took the class. There was sense of naivete mixed with pure spiritual excitement. It was as if a bunch of us kids with wide-eyed wonder said, "Oh my gosh! We finally found what we have been looking for." We were an instant family - brothers and sisters in Christ. Come he!! or high water we were going to stand together. In my innocence and enthusiam, I mistakenly transferred my love for God to a ministry. While I understand that what you say is true - I am still loathe to use the words of VPW to define any part of my life. I'm at work. It's a slow day so I get to use the computer a bit while I wait, but that might explain my choppy manner of writing right now. I'll just wait to finish this thought.
  13. Larry and Deciderator, Thank you. I'm going to clarify this one last point - but only because I need to do so for my own peace of mind. I have a relationship with God and His Son. I had no relationship with VPW, other than a few chance meetings while I was in residence. I wasn't abused by him, but I witnessed not only the damage he inflicted, but the sick and perverted legacy he passed on to many of those he ordained. I was looking for a deeper relationship with God. I found it - but that's an entirely different story for another thread. Regardless, I refuse to define my life and my approach to God via the words of a man who wrapped himself up in the cloak of a minister by day and swam in a bottle of Drambuie by night, while he plotted against many of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I'll shut up now.
  14. If you want to say that, go right ahead. It really seems more like you want to win a debate than listen to what I'm trying to say. I have to go to work.
  15. Before I continue, I'd like to remind you that in Proverbs there are a number of verses that speak to interpersonal relations. I am particularly reminded of one verse that says something to the effect of, "A soft answer turneth away wrath..." I really have no desire to debate you at all. I'll answer a few questions and if you don't agree with me, that's up to you. Regarding your question. I'm a Christian. I left TWI in 1989 when the "loyalty letter" hit my door. I had always said that I was loyal to God and God only, so when I was asked to declare my loyalty to one of two men I walked. I fumbled around for a long time. I tried to use the class and the research principles taught in it. I even re-wrote the class using different scriptures to "prove" the points made therein. This is where things started to break down for me. I found myself squeezing scripture to fit a model and that was not acceptable to me at all. I stopped studying the Bible. If you knew me at all you would know what a huge thing this was for me to do, because I was known as the local "researcher." PFAL had colored how I approached God and His Word. Furthermore, I had made an idol out of my studies and my intellect. I started praying a lot more and reading a lot less. I had enough head knowlege to last me a lifetime and then some. So now, almost 30 years after I walked you ask me if it's "The Word, The Word and nothing but The Word. " (THAT'S the way I heard it.) I guess I have to say, "NO." It's "Love God and love your neighbor as yourself." It's, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you." It's, "Jesus is Lord." I read the Bible. I keep it in perspective. I talk to God much more now than I ever did before. I'm not debating how and what I believe. That's my answer. Do with it what you will. I have posted enough while during my stay here that you can garner a pretty good picture of who and what I am.
  16. YOU just did... ;) I DID post that song a while back in the "Music Lovers" thread. :) I can find it again if you like.... Don't even think about it...!
  17. I don't think he ever intended to debate you on what you believe or held to be true.
  18. Deciderator - while I see the point you're making I have to disagree. On the surface, Skyrider is setting up a straw man argument. That would be true IF he was substituting the phrase "the Word" for "PFAL." He is not doing this. He is in fact saying (I believe) that to may TWI leaders the two phrases became synonymous. I don't see how he was avoiding the importance of the Word in his life - but I do see how he is pointing out a "bait and switch" in terminology that happened over time. Now, I'm by the things you have written, I think that skyrider's time in TWI predates your's by about twenty years - so that may be the reason why he can say this and you not see his meaning.
