  1. Agreed. That question is almost rhetorical. If I'm not mistaken, even though God gave some men new names, He only gave one a title. All the titles and nametags are really a device of man.
  2. I don't offhand. But I would think that you could make a real nice salad with these items. Grill or broil the chicken and shred it for a salad. mix with mixed greens, sundried tomatoes, bell peppers (mixed colors) use a nice balsamic vinagrette. crumble goat cheese (chevre) on top of salad. Some goat cheese is more 'spreadable' and you can do the following - a variation on Cordon Bleu Pound Chicken breasts til thin. Spread goat cheese and chopped Sundried tomatoes on breast (You could also add a thin slice of ham if you like) Roll and use toothpicks (or kitchen string) to keep the shape bake in a 350 F oven for approx one hour or until done. serve with salad and a nice wine These are really off the top of my head and have not been tried or tested. If you try them, let me know ...(or warn the others here )
  3. My memory on this is foggy at best, so take it for what it's worth. When I was first getting involved with TWI in Manhattan, (early 1978) I overheard my BC telling people to avoid P3ter W*de. He was said to have written a research paper that contradicted VP's teaching. (I forget the subject.) I remember either hearing the words "possessed" or "born of the wrong seed" but I don't recall if they referred to him or to his paper.
  4. OOOh look! Donna has a photo of the Beatles getting back together! ;)
  5. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
  6. Will you even dress up like the wizard and give me a pocket watch and a medal of honor too? ;)
  7. And even if we all got together and agreed on "the nature of God, Jesus, and Elvis, would it really make a difference? What we hold to be true "ain't necessarily so." There was a time when the civilized world believed the earth to be flat - that didn't change the curve of the earth even one degree.
  8. It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it. ;) Thanks W&W - really I think it's a right-brain thing for me. Hard to describe really. I'm not sure it's a ministry, though. I'm not even sure I'd call it insight. It's just how my journey made sense to me. I've made a lot of mistakes along the way and this is how things processed out for me.
  9. What I think doesn't make sense is - trying to define God. Since when does the creation get to define the Creator? I've said this before: As long as God knows who He is, and Jesus knows who he is, then I'm fine. All I need to do is remember who I am and that I am neither God nor Jesus.
  10. One thing that Oldiesman seems to be forgetting is that for the most part, we got in TWI as teenagers. It's no surprise that certain things in the established churches didn't make sense to us. It is a mistake in logic to hold to that limited understanding now. To keep the definition given to us of a subject like the Trinity seems intellectually dishonest, in the very least.
  11. Isn't this a kind of "Herbal"guy?? Sudo - is that Chas?? again?
  12. WOW! What a great announcement! She's one lucky gal to have a Mother-in-law like you.
  13. Topo Gigio was a puppet that had no obvious way for it to move - no hands or strings showed - he seemed to be able to move all over. (Trivia - topo means "mouse" in Italian) Ductape - nanny nanny boo boo :anim-smile:
  14. I don't care what Hollywood muckety muck marries who... I don't care which Hollywood weirdo shaves their head bald.. I don't care if they get a DWI or a DUI... Sooo.. I don't listen to the news shows about Hollywood and I don't buy magazines with "dirt" on them. I figure that they don't want to read about my dirty laundry - why should I care about their's. I've tried to teach my kids the same thing. Each one teach one... ;)
  15. :) It's still going to be tough to get past the Mets :) THANK YOU!
  16. I guess it depends on your goal...
  17. Do I get a piece of candy now?.... ;)
  18. Oh okay! I'm sorry..... *shuffle, shuffle*
  19. The Rangers have been a source of disappointment for years... sigh... They never got it together to take Nolan Ryan to the Series... They seem to start strong and then falter when the going gets tough. And I'm not even a native Texan! Imagine how they really feel down here.
  20. That was worth it! :)
  21. Fine then! Harummmmpppffff!
  22. Do I have to...? (Said in my best whiney 3 year old voice... complete with foot stomping and pouting...)
  23. So it looks like we're on the same page... One Body with Christ as the Head" was paid lipservice. Then there was the insidious MOG that was some kind of intercessor. No offense to those ordained - but the teaching kinda led to that belief. From there a lot of control was wielded. And another thing....the "ordained ones" weren't necessarily" those believed to have "Gift ministries" they just got a title and some power. There were lots of folks with real ministries that got overlooked. So from where I sit... ordination was another way to control - both the "person" and the "people."
