Gathering Together to see the Lord...and LCM?
rickyg replied to rickyg's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
markomally, What is your story. Are you amillinial (sp)? It is my guess you have a catholic or reformed background and think the rapture is a new doctrine that is only 200 some odd years old. tell me how I can rephrase the question for you? -
Ok ok I guess Im up. Well see your point about addressing the past problems. Yet I still think corrections have been made in all but one area. Areas of new change that might be of interest. Fellwoships are self governing until a problem arises that is to big for FC to handle -when they do they are handled in a tender and loving manner -have not heard of andy Mark and Avoids being handed out dont know if tht is because they are not used at all or if it is reflection of over all more lovingattitude People coming back after leaving are not treated with actions not representing a Christian walk -More than just me have come back in our branch and it has been great. I talked to this individual more than once and he too cannot believe it -The only manner they talk about people who have left are in way that they wish more would come back I talked to my friend in CA (a young person who kept encouraging me to come back) and he said no bad mouthing is going on about you guys here on the internet...well maybe Belle. People are not yelled into abundant sharing -a debt free lifestyle is encouraged but people are not told God can't work for them if they are in debt -people are also not told that God's power is directly realted to the % of ABS but rather by the operation of believing people are taught that God loves a cheerful giver and that God gives back to us when we give The New Foundational Class is Sweet I have taken PFAL, Craig's and he New one. My fav is the new one. PFAL 2nd and Craig's a distant 45th right between Women studies 101 and my intro to psychology classs at college. No mention of Lesbian Sex. II peter 1:20 (oh yes the big question...Belle crack your knuckles and prepare to pounce!) (as it is written in the page) Epilusis-a form of epiluo. Which means to let loose upon, as dogs let loose upon game. I remember in the segment that it was used an example when interpretation is private. I think it is a good example of private interpretation. So Belle, Tomstrange, go easy on me hear, hehehe. Really much of the structure in research has changed. All Corps are considered research. When the Corps have new stuff it is worked by the entire Corps over and over for a long time. I don't know if this is new but I think it is. Every person at fellowship is encouraged to work it and if they have questions they can either write TWI or thier bc or sate leadership. So any more questions Oh and there is rumor of big Corps class this year and next year. How big? Well if Belle says pretty please with sugar on top. Peace RickyG

What do people (those who were involved with TWI) still think about the gathering together? I question ask because if you still believe what you were taught regarding this you have to think about seeing LCM and VPW when you meet the Lord in the air. If you believe this is still true you will probably believe that all that has passed doesn't matter and you will probably be more excited about seeing Jesus face to face. But how does that thought sit with you today of seeing LCM again. Or do you not even think he will be there which brings up that old once in grace always in grace question. Any thoughts?
-
Well my point is how do you know what is going on now? you don't. You speculate from the past and and make statments like "history will repeat itself." One reason why I post is I like to let you know. So I hope rather than putting me down for going ot fellowship you may listen to me about what is going on. How else would you know?
-
maybe they want to stay around and take on new leadership. I hear lot more yong people are going Corps. RfR wont be around forever. Many youths want make TWI thiers. And the leadership is now encouraging this. They know that they are getting older and new leadership is needed. Cant the youth have the opportunity to do that?
-
I don't reaad alot of posts from innies saying there is stuff wrong with people here. How many documented innies post on here? any estimate count. And if they do voice thier opinion whats the big deal Belle? Have to read your posts too. Or is this just a Way bashing site where no other opinions are tolerated? Most people I have talked to welcome my opinion as an innie so I guess you will just have to deal. question to the women. Any women ever tell their husbands to "get over it." Just wondering if there is a gender issue here too.
-
Thanks Belle I guess I can hear him say that now. Especially the egg sucking part. haha any body know about the other questions I asked that would prove him wrong?
-
This thread is about the youth on myspace. so Belle I finally get to "pull a Belle" and say Sorry couldn't help it. I don't agree or diagree that Martindale owes an apology. I wouldn't hold my breath though. But would you like one from the youths on Myspace. When I fianlly learn enough about computera snd get an accoun there I will tell them you are expecting. But as I have asked before many times Why hold the youth accountable for something not thier problem! The second vatican council said all men are responsible for the killing of Christ. You are saying the same about the youth when you post that on this thread about the youth. Or am I "pulling another Belle" and putting words in you mouth. Maybe just despise Martindale and not the youth cause these young people are tryign to love a life and "let no man despise thy youth..."
-
Well with all of the errors that Martindale did teach I don't think he would ever teach that. That sounds life Covenant theology. Did he ever say that? Was it figuartive. Maybe I sould start a doctrinal thread about this. But does anybody know (those who have experience in research) if God said he would never make an end of the Children of Israel. Does it say in Romans there will always be a ramient (cant spell). Doesn't there have to be some left to be worshiping in Jerusalem at the time of the second advent? If it does then the Word would prove that not all Jews today are Khazars or whatever. Because there would have to be some left (that rejected the mystery of course) at the time of the second advent. Is that logical or not?
-
I have a question for what this would mean for the promises in the Word. I agree with ck in that all have the opportunity to be part of the body but some choose not to. But doesn't God say he would never make an end to the chosen people? Something about being a remaient (sp) that would never die out. And after the gathering together of both Judean who believed and all others that beleived doesn't their say something about the jews will be worshiping in jerusalem at the time of the second coming. I was taught that the gathering together has no sings but the second coming has many and many have to do woth what the "Jews" and Isreal are doing. FOr these to happen I can see why GOd promised that the line would never die out. Any body know?

No Im not amember on myspace but my roomate lets me read through his account. I find myspace really difficult to do. I suck at computers and when I tried to develp a cool profile it ended up looking like crap so I cancled it. It took me four months to figure out how to get a membership here!! I think they are using quotes form Jesus Christ is Not GOd. SO if you want to say that they are not speaking for themselves I guess I can't argue. anybody know how to make a cool myspace account?! I would like to get on there and talk but I dont want a ? where a pic and other stuff is supposed ot be.

I am trying to focus on what is going on right now! You correct error with what is right. So by putting on that which is correct you eliminate error. Its like putting off the old man nature with the new man nature. You don't say "ok old man nature I have to get rid you now so beat it. Ok where did I put that new man? I know I had him around here somewhere." NO. THe light of the New man gets rid of the old. Light gets rid of the darness. I don't know why I am typing this because I am expecting to hear the jeers that I am just using the old "renewing the mind" defense that everybody here accuses the youth of TWI using as a scapgoat. Why do you think I post on here. To tell you the focus of what is going on NOW! That and I find it hilarious to listen to Oldiesman get Belle all in a frenzy with his simple and ligical posts. Simple and logical....sounds like what I like about TWI. Hey Oldies are you sure your not the Logos? :) :
-
Thanks for telling me what is going on in TWI today. I didn't know you were going back to fellwoship.
-
Oldies man I always love what you say!

I have a doctrinal question about a previous mentioned teaching of CES. If we will be in the new Jerusalem what about our heavenly citizenship? Is this only allegorical? The covenants made to Isreal promise this new city forever but these promises are only made to them. Now I have been taught that we will have access to the throne of David but our home is in heaven. We don't recieve the city as ours but we get the "blessings" of it. Those blessings fitting in with the Abrahamic Covenant of all nations getting blessed.

As an "innie" I will define what getting over it for meant and why I went back to fellowship. Getting over it is not pretending that it never happend but learning from what happend and still moving forward. Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but one thing, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before... It doesn't mean never thinking or speaking about the past. I still at times discuss it with believers and at times it is even mentioned in fellowship! But it is rare and in the contrext of moving forward. YOU decide when your over it! Know one knows your thoughts and heart but God. But I can see your actions and conversation that reflect your heart and mind. When you haven't gotten over it and thats all you think about and talk about, people can see that you have not "gotten over it." Getting over it remembering what you know above all else. DOn't forget the important things of God and remember the faults of men. I Timothy 6:20 "...keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding VAIN BABBLINGS, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith..."

Looks like the youths are really giving it to them. Not with the programed answers that you all so claim is their only line of defense. They are presenting the Word that they know in tender loving manner. I feel bad for the kid presenting his trinitarian view. Looks like he is knocked down on his argument. Wonder if he will be able to get up?
-
Well I don't agree with most of your last comments and in regards to these kids what would you have to say to them? You can't disagree with every doctrinal issue you were ever taught in TWI can you? What would you say to the 20 year old who just got through the new foundational class and has heard many of the things about the past but doesn't really care because he is to thrilled about the satnding in Christ he was just taught? These kids shouldn't feel obligated to answer for mistakes of an older generation. I don't. Why that is my f**9^$ justification. Where you would tell that kid to go. " "ok man I know you are all excited that you know Jesus Christ isn't God but do you know what happend in TWI before you found it. Well why don't you just go back to your babtist church and forget what you learned." Give these kids a break.
-
Is that what your doing?
-
well I agree with you. I just dont think that throwing the baby out with the bath water is the the best choice.
-
ok checked 1996 Socks I think your in the wrong thread.
-
I wasn''t trying to make an issue I was just asking an actual question. I dont know how old it is so take a chill pill man. So what are your feelings on doctrine, reproof, correction. There may be a doctrinal thread on this. Do you not feel that it is bad to correct wrong doctrine? Again not trying to sound sarcastic just asking a question. You made the point that it was bad because they had to correct something. I don't really see a problem as long as its corrected. Just my opinion.

I think his reference to a "juish" nation was in regards to the ethnic people of today that calaim that status. Emphaisis on ethnic. I dont think he was refering to America. I think I read that book before and I think he is right about its contents. Im not sure if it is still sold in the bookstore. I will ask my bc. I think he is just a poor speller. But who am I say how old is that donna recording again?

rickyg replied to markomalley's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I have a question. I was talking to a LDS folower who cam over to my house and he said that those that are married in thier temple are going to be married in heaven in basic terms. Didn't Jesus Christ get asked a simular question about the woman who married seven brothers? I thnk I remember something to that note. The elder that came to my home was a little shy because he just started his missions. I didn't want to be a as*ho(e so I change the subject. Can you explaine this eternal marraige to me?
