Why am I a christian? It is the fact I realize I do NOT have it all together front. humanity realizes we do not have a clue on how to do this thing called life. I do not care who you are or what you may think the day comes when Life hits like a thunder and we realize it is NOT a predictable event in which we pay the bills go to work and have perfect health and then die. life is intense and unbelievable often times. so we search we search for an answer a answer to why how when some comfort in the confusion and heart break. When a person comes to the realization it truly isnt about a prediction or an event or a planned out situation and life is so real we can say it is UNBELIEVABLE. we seek a higher power somone to help us. a reason a plan , some help please. and Jesus christ reveals his own self to us. I do not think all humans need or will become a disciple of Christ the risen Saviour, it isnt for everyone never was never will be. some are content with life as they want and see to it , it is what it is. christians seek and search for a higher being a different answer , it is a spiritual thing that has personal ties within the very created soul. a longing for it is inside . it is a fullfillment of something missing . and it is real to them. Spirit like love is a personal concept, when religoun is mixed in it can be a complicated mess of hurt, but to be a disciple of Jesus christ is a simple matterof finding a lost soul and going home , like an itch that must be scratched. for me it isnt so much about "feeling" more of a knowing, over and over agian in my life a knowing that is proven to be a part of who I am .

I can agree helping others can be helpful, seeing others who may be in a place of suffering worse can help one be thankful BUT hello if change and new direction is needed in life what is really helpful is felowship with others who are excited about change and new goals and finding a new life! if one is depressed about life to be around others who also have little hope or excitement and in the same place WELL it can be the straw of despair that everyone is overwelmed and hopeless. When IM bored with life i go around young folks teens and young adults who see life as onhe big adventure and worthy of giving a go at!!! or I take my grand on an adventure that is fun for him!! and learn to gigle at a new slide!!! misery loves company and i see many who do get inspired helping another they just get burn out.

Hi sogwap we spoke in chat and I remember you being very disappointed in a firend that your feel let you down. I read a theory in a book and it stuck because it is so very profound about friends, for me. friends love us in "partS" I put the capital S for a reason.. think about it, hopefuly you realize no "other is responsible for your happiness or life gain or loss. like love happiness is an inside job. so the idea of parts work.. Im middle age and i have one or two friends from high school that i know still and we get together once in a while. my clas was almost 2000 why is that we had a unity in school and were "friends". because we have each done different things and gotten involved in life our paths went this and that way. that seems normal. doesnt it? WEll it kind of doesnt change I have lived a very full life.. when my children were little i hung out withmoms with small children and shared who I was and lved them all. today a room full of screaming babies and toddlers is not exactly my idea of having a nice time!!! i worked in fast food for a short while I and made some great friendship with teens living a life full of adventure and goals they were fantastic and spurred me on to set some more goals for myself and get a different degree! they do not call on friday night for a rollicking good invite for the new party.. but yet our friendship while at the resturant was real and helped me grow and become who I am today. i cherish them all ! but we loved in part and have now made new friends. sometimes friendships last oftentimes it isnt that they died it is just one of the people have moved (mentaly or physicly) to another place and the other can not go there. it is a loss, but also an invitation to realize our responsibility is to our own self to be happy! not to another! why? because no one really gets excited about a person who puts a burden on another for their being. Stop watching tV! get out and do ... meet making friends doesnt mean totlaly laying your life down and sharing every moment of your life and draggin every drama that ever happened to you into another person. it means a sharing.. and we do share in part with our friends. i like flowers and gardening so i go to the market and meet folks who like that and start talking about that flower or this plant and before ya know it it is a "friend"! and the next time ya see them they say HI how are you and they do care!! sogwap you might be depressed , but you also might be ready to realize you have to make a change in your life and take some more responsibly for your own life. It isnt as scary as it sounds. honest to God almighty people are magic to me and for the most part I LOVE people. and they love back. I meet the day with anticipation of that DAY!! who will i be able to share with who will I be able to learn from who will i be able to help? and then it happens every single day love happens . i was a shut in this year with the surgery... but i got up and im moving and shaking now!!! and i am alone. I do not think a man will repair me, i wait for no prince on a white horse. a man is just a man and to place that on any person is just not attractive or very healthy. a miserable marriage will beat a person down to a point sogwap where you may have no choice but to give up the security you have become comfortable with, and if your being abused, ultimately we ALL know it has to be your choice to get out, or stay and give up all hope for change in your life. sogwap God has the power he really does but it has to be your choice to DO your life and take the rsik of loving again HIM and people. Jesus commands we love one another that implies TWO in it like a relationship one anothering is a give and take thing. If only one is filling the relationship it is to draining to continue it isnt a friendship or loving it is co-depency and something the profesionals can help you with.

I did say the education is helpful about the puter image.. It is in high school the pretty girls who mock those who have done nothing with their self who hurt young girls and older I suppose. I didnt always have the money to keep with the latest fashion for my girls and they would get picked on and i said to them in anger one day so find the group of girls who parents have the same income level as us and hang out with them!!! seriously. that is an attitude I think the keeping up with thejones come in from the parents not magazines!!! when I see parents buying a house for 500,000 dollars with 7 bedrooms for one kid and a new car every year etc.. what does THAT teach your kid about what is important? that I somhow do not love my own kids as much cause I refuse or cant buy my way into the lifestyle? In a teen world it is just about how you look basicly and maybe if your lucky good grades.. they have nothing eles to compete about. does a parent say sure sure it is all about what is on the inside yet stand inline for the new technology toy or interior design for the home or a new hummer just to show off? i think this also influences how teens may think about life and what is important, and they do go to themslefs and repeat the pattern with what is important to their "jones", their peers and compare just like momyn and daddy does.

ok ok your going to hate me. I think the education about the cutting of the pictures by puter to enhance a person looks is education about being real!!!! BUT here is my story.. and Im sticking to it. We feel better about our self when we feel good about how we look. I do not think the aim is perfection nor unrealistic picture that has been fixed to look a certain way. (yes that is good education) BUT WE love pretty people. I have a child who spends about three hours to get ready before she will go out! and she looks nice, yes she has a couple extra pounds maybe a flaw or to but she does her hair she picks out outfits that look nice she looks her best. and you know what she is happy happy . I have seen my daughter who is a classic beauty over 6 feet blonde big cheekbones put her down because of her effortand laughs at her for the time she puts in to excersize and look good saying it all for nothing. YETshe has manged to put on alot of weight keeps her hair in a tail and wears no make up most days and guess what? she isnt happy she is insecure. and she uses these types of ads as an excuse not to look her best. On the show boston legal one of the actors is a little person she is about three feet tall and guess what she is soooo pretty! how? she wears makeup has her hair done does her nails and wears outfits that make her look pretty. and yet by our american standard she is totaly not the type we aspire to look like! how we look does effect how we feel about our self be honest! it isnt all about inside stuff.. if a person looks dirty or uncarded for people think they are that person and you what I think it is important the impression we give folks! do not be silly. I went to a conference in which most of the participates had disability of some sort some very serious deformations and they wore make-up they wore pretty dresses and nice suits and they thought they were the stars of the show (and they were) looking good makes a difference for all of us. I think it is silly to think the stars look the way they do on tv and mags naturaly and yes the education to inform is needed but so is the attitude of feeling good about ALL of you and we live in a society that has issues with those who abuse the body with obesity. be honest we do we think they must be lazy or depressed and guess what after they lose the weight we find out guess what they were miserable and the "self esteem" increases by leaps and bounds. be honest. my daughter that tells me she needs two hours to get ready to go to the store to shop gets my respect much more than the daughter who goes out looking raggy and tired and in need of something or someone who cares. because the bottom line is what is on the inside and how we present our self speaks VOLUMES on how that really is.

My kids are now the age I was in twi. what a perspecitve this has given me. Unless we were taught by our parents to plan a life most just do not. Early aldulthood is suppose to be one of taking risks and meeting the challenge of change . or simply rebellion of what our parents may have done that harmed us as individuals . it happens. My sister is a control freak and her hubby, they are most loving and would give you anything you need as long as they have the say in your life and they do it out of loving hearts. our relationship has been a struggle, at time I really hate them it seems the "love" is so dam conditional. and the price one pays. Here is the thing for me about control and who is kidding who we ALL want to think we can control our life and we should. When panic attacks and depression happen because it isnt working it is time to look into WHY that is happening . my other sister who NEVER would dream of saying the other sister could be wrong has these issues and i think it is very telling about how control can ruin an individual . life is life i tell my kids they are grown now and I tell them make plans do your best work always get knowledge try new things. But most of all KNOW nothing you do is who you are. know relationships either change with you or they go away and that is not always a bad thing just moment in time to love another. Is that controlling? to me it is truth. where as my sister loks at it in horrid unhappy relationship all must be just fine and dandy and no problem can happen because they have a grip on everything everyone could possibly do or think. good luck I say I can not change another nor do I desire to. maybe they need to be at that place i do not get. and that is ok. I have had all the plans and life so GREAT fall in the sewer to start again. so I do not know what it like to live a life without bad things happening. i do not know how i can change my reality, and i amnot in controll , i llok at those who think they are and notice oftentimes from my perspective it is an illusion . maybe im bitter I do not know

Reality is needed for problem solving and boundaries , I know people who think in delusion.. they are frightening no not happening cant be happening wont happen to me so i cant see it or in any way recognize a problem in my life. delusion is a form of abuse.

maybe so. but times have changed. on 20.20 last night they said a full 73 % of High school students feel it is needed to cheat or lie on tests to succeed. and another 28% said they lied on the survey questions!! look at big business and the politcal scandals left and right.. times are such we can not go by a persons "word" , integrity is gone in our society. the students said 'we are the future leaders of america and it is not one of honesty or integrity it is one of success at all cost and compromise. ya know for me, I guess the whole being a christian thing it what counts now.. it is to late for me all i have left is my gut and my self and that means who I am to me.. and i need to be able to be at peace with me. i do not think i will ever succeed really not by any of this worlds standard, so i try to succeed for my own self and that means being able to think clearly without denial and cheating another the best I can. debt to me is cheating when folks go into debt fully aware or not( by the tricks of the business and credit thrown at anyone without any education on how to handle it . ]t is a type of fraud and lying. our culture today really embrases that concept as long as youdo not get caught anything goes today.

With the loans for the land Im assuming they could lose the land if found in defaut. That is the problem i have with debt, it means giving the power of something to another to hold while you pay them back. Im in debt, and i have been out of debt i really prefer the latter, because for me being in debt means I am owing somone a right or power over what i can do . i do understand why god might say owe no man anything, it is aburden. and then to go bankrupt is so very common today, at least in my family and friends. Is that haivng integrity? somone pays for that. we all do, is that loving to your neighbor? Integrity is anice concept and i have a perfect credit score because i paid, but it is so easy for young folks or a disabled person to get in so much over your head the only way out is destruction of the very lie that got you into debt. Living beyond your means to kepp up with the jones is different than paying for a loan for land you can till to repay the loan.

Oakspear the bible does not say God created everything, it lists what he created and satan was not on the list. Heaven is anything above earth the sky. Satan was cast out of heaven before man was created, there is a gap in time between the formation of the earth and thne created, this time man could have been many ions of time for all we know and a great destruction happened and alive things where on the earth. That is why he said REPLENISH the earth. something happened in that time. for all the being to be destroyed. it is spiritual choice , good or evil life or death.

I think it is the fact we have a choice to love and worship God. to chose love we have to know evil or eles it is NOT a choice. God wanted man His creation to chose to worship and love and make HIM their father. It is free will . It is a realtionship not all an me or nothing eles God gives us a choice to love HIM or not. He did create us with the ability to decide whether we want HIM as a Father or not. He truly wants his people to chose to love HIM. without evil we would not have a choice would we? I am not certain God created satan do you have any record of that? Lucifer was an angel a spirit being with God in the heavens , a very bright star where do you see God created or had anything to do with his being ?

pink lady You said you wished it was sooner so you could have "saved" your family. huge sigh .... I do know how we love so much we never want those we love to hurt or to get in circumstance that we percieve as harmful . it cant be done. some folks deny any part in the reality of anothers pain, some need to control the situation and try to fix till they have to take drugs to calm down with the frustration it isnt working. we can NOT fix other people and we can not change reality. My friend six months ago said she is going to get along just dandy with her ex after she leaves and the child involved will never be harmed. well into the custody issue and the reality of working out a failed marriage so the baby can have both parents the house what it is worth , guess what the kid is suffering too.. but it cant be avoided . she feels so guilty and wishes this and that and we all do this my precious love of my life means nothing to anyone eles and today he went to the drs. and I got news.. I was a mess. if i would have taken him sooner if if if now he is sick. but i saw him eat a little today and Im thankful and we will carry on. worry really doesnt help much, and i have learned to take life by the minute most days now. and really consider what happened to get me here yet really focus on what today can and will bring your life for change. pink lady we all struggle with what we should have could have would have and it doesnt help. get better today and make a better tommorrrow for your own self and those you love. or least like me just get up and try.

God knows. pray about it . it is a relationship, a spirit filled relationship that will fill you up with the the answers to your life , today and for all eternity. God is real and He loves you very much, just talk to Him about your concerns and he will help you in everything you wonder about. God cares about you, He wants you to Live forever in eternity with His Son Jesus Christ and and family, talk to HIM he will show you Jesus and you will Know.

it will not be the saved who will be concerned with the fire. Acts is talking to the saved . from what? not death they are already dead by now they are saved from the fire or the second death which is permanent . Romans 10:9 and 10 covers salvation. I do not know what temple lady believes so i can not comment on how many miles we have between or within or about. Abby again i could care less about who is right or wrong Im convinced Jesus is LORD of my life and it is enough for me and IM the only one Im accountable for . God knows His own temple lady , God knows how to get the job done everyone will have a choice to believe or not. as I stated before some mortals will be raised at the return of Jesus Christ (yes some unbelievers will live in the 1000 year reign, they will be IMmmortal not impersihable like those already saved. and they will live without spirit during the 1000 year reign of Christ, during this time people will be getting born again and having a choice they will have babys and live much like adam and eve did and Jesus wil be the KING in the flesh !!! they will also die they are mortal . they will have the chance then to make Jesus LORD, or not, like we do today. it a series of events, a war will take place judgement and rewards will happen the study of the end times is not a little bit of learning and is very exciting. In the very end as we truly enter the Kingdom God makes for our life eternal satan is burned to ash and NO one wil ever be able to die again , Jesus Christ will give the authority over to God once again. At that point temple lady everyone has had oppurtunity to chose christ as their Saviour or not. Jesus is a very fair loving kind of guy you know. and God is indeed quite capable of taking care of His people . if your truly interested in the events of the last days and times read the books I suggested such as the Hope by JOHN S. you will have so much comofort for any of your questions concerning scripture and the promises of God.

I cant say I have heard alot of hell and brimstone speeches or sermons. I hear tell it goes in the south in the pentacostal churches. the bible clearly decides it is Jesus who decides who will burn and who will not. I have heard it preach that jesus will indeed fullfill all of the prophecy written and with emotion. I think it is a wonderful happening that mankind wants and needs to fullfill their very purpose in life. I do not think it is always one of condemation I think at this point it is a point of concern. God tells us in scripture to tell others of His plan of mankind destiny and choices. christians want all to be saved as does God. The motive is not one of hurting anyone or making their own self feel better but rather a sense of obligation to preach what is truth. it is important news to many. When Billy Grahm calls those who want to chose Jesus down to the place and all those people are waiting to help them find the LORD and be released from a life of fear and death and no hope for the greatness we are promised. I feel such JOY and happiness knowing another soul will be with us in the KINGDOM> and satan will lose the ability to rob God of His loved child. the motive is not condemation it is truly love for mankind. abigail no one decided what the future will hold it is bible principle and truth that is the standard. As a christian I do not threaten people with death everyone knows we all will die, what I hold forth as truth is a life everlasting in all eternity with a God who is love and a Lord who is fixing it up just fine. it is a glorious hope one worth living for. many are searching and claiming this truth and bring others into the thought that God loves us so much we can and will live forever with HIM in a good and peaceful earth once again.

Jesus will give a choice . He does NOT "Take" anything he is not a thief nor does he over ride the will of God or the terms and conditions already written . Jesus did not design man nor did he plan the redemption of man God. did. Jesus asked for another way in prayer in the garden and God told HIM no he must die and be resureccted Jesus OBEYED and now all knees will bow to HIM. Vengenence does belong to the LOrd, praise God. that in and of itself speaks volumes about how it will be. some can and will deny the lord, Jesus is KING and do ya think that will fly in the third heaven and earth? ALL knees will bow. one way or another. Jesus christ does not FORCE anyone to worship HIM as the king of King, He already is appointed by God almighty. those who do not wish to concede the declaration will face the other choice given. Because Jesus Christ loves us so very much every chance will be given to chose the winning camp. but not all will.

I do not know what you consider their rules temple lady. but the bible is very clear on who will attain life everlasting and just how and some will not be in the third heaven and earth . Jesus christ does not change what God has ordained God has a clear plan and Jesus Christ and will not disobey God. it is clearly written how the end times and the Kingdom will be and Jesus Honors the Father always. the King of Kings will reign only 1000 years then he to will hand it all over to the father for once and all. To get to the point when we will live as God wants us to live punishment and rewards and deaths many many things will happen. it is all written and Jesus as OUR King, (not Gods) who will make it all happen for God. He can make no exception or respects no certain person or circumstance.

that was part of the conversation I had with a clergy, he toldme and I quote "JUST tell God.." to dismiss me without concern for my person. well i was willing to be conseled by him then, Yet I have known Jesus since a very young child and I couldnt do it. I said well I do not really "tell God" anything I am praying for HIM to tell me what to do". and he mused and muffled and calmed down . he was the same clergy that marked me . today I am even more certain I need a Father who knows best. when I pray I ask what to do I ask for forgivness. jesus says ASK for forgiveness and it will be given to you not demand anything. I do not think I am entitled to anything from God yet by His grace and mercy I can pray and hope in all of his goodness that Jesus will guide my choices to be in HIs will for my life.

the way??? Jesus christ says he is the Way and I do attempt to follow HIM. WE know Him through the spirit , so what pray tell does the scripture mean to you dancing? anything at all? or is it all about how you feel in the moment? W hat thought may come flying in your brain cell and will work for you? i like having this book and hearing and reading and knowing it is the all about the LIFE my God created for HIM to love. I like reading it and then seeing it all come so very very true. it is a wonderful truth!

you can and will pick and chose what verses work for you , if you wish. I tend to believe what scripture says as truth. and it is clearly written just because you do not like it doesnt make it any less of a truth, does it? God gives us the HOPE of Christ returning for our comfort. funny how some decide they know better how things and situations should be handled more than God himself. good luck with that in life I happen to have my eggs in a different basket than what man will think should be. My money is on the bible and its truths and on the redeemer of My Saviour the Lord Jesus christ praise God.

it is about love. Gods love. a legacy is written dancing and it is HOLY and it is scripture. no one is going to LIve in heaven ever Dancing. other than God and Jesus Christ. The kingdom is on this earth dancing. not heaven. ignorance of scripture does not make for a firm foudation of what the heck you what ever want to type about. I find it boring. if you want to just ride this merry go round of what YOU think or who you are have at it, watch a tv show get cable roam the net, plenty do it all the time. My standard is what the bible says who Jesus Christ is and what we can know as truth of Gods PLAN for mankind. and yes it is the bible and it is chapter and verse and it isnt all over the place in thoughts ,it is written very very clearly for all to read or learn if you chose. but some just like to switch channels of thought on the tv called doubt and whatever eles you can make up today to say or do. the bible says to avoid such strive and endless questioning because some do want the truth from God they want to make up their own.
