What your saying is you believe in the posters here and they have integrity etc... and i believe that is true many are on the web site because they like and believe in one another. thats cool. carry on. I am addressing the point of anyone coming to this site and getting any real help or answers from the threads. the threads are messy often full of name calling gossip hear say and just plain confusion, without having been here for a long time or knowing the inside scoop of who is who (just like twi) your at risk of colliding with any number of rabid posters who are to say the least not nice and just plain paranoid of anyone outside the circle. So it appears not much more than a gossip magazine with funny storys. and it is unrelenting in its attack of any one "new" or percieved as not fitting in, if they do not comply with the well ingrained pecking order. [edited for getting personal] that is what people read and that is why people do dismiss this place. Not to metion the fact if a decent conversation does start it quickly turns into he/she attacked the victim and she is mean am not, childish games that never end and become far to much bother to read. The sad part is those who love this place the most are the very ones who make it impossible to be be a place that welcomes or wants any question of their idea of what it is. Rascal comment about bumpy, Rascal has been on the radio she is famous! she knows people , she is a rabid poster, and her insult of how "new" (and of course less enlightened and less informed than the "regulars who have been here for years) he is (MONTHS! EVEN) goes to show just how unwelcoming and closed minded this place is . who in their right mind would risk that crap for their own self knowing that is the possible eventual outcome of posting here if compliance and allegence to certain players is not maintained? that is what people read and that is why people do dismiss this place. I use this example of conversation between bumpy and Rascal because it is on this particular thread , but those type of intimidation tactics are all over this web site by more than a few key players that love this place till the end. so i think most are just saying let them have it and ex is right it isnt safe.

Have you ever read some of these head lines in the magazines considered "rags"! The ones the stars are suing for slander and you read the front page reads : alien baby devours six at bus stop!!! I read some of them at a family gathering a few years ago and they are so stupid. But entertaining! and they sell alot of them so people must enjoy spending money on them to read them. They talk of the stars and have photos of them brushing their hair or without underwear. I know people buy them but I wonder who believes them, these crazy storys ? i think grease spot is in that group honestly, a media but not without problems and certainly not at all accountable for what is within its pages. WD bless his heart is on a campaign to make this place have some integrity, but it is another ship that has sailed I believe. One of the reason is people are much more internet savy now, many people in cyberspace had to learn hard lesson on what this medium is or can be . and we have more choices lots of web pages now from twi spin off people. more made every day. and the years have gone by people have moved on. i think few waited 25 plus years to find out why so many left after vpw died or why or how lcm was sued in a civil court. they got the information by now and people involved today it is like a history and it is all different now so why bother? I think if a person wants to know the history of the way this is one way to begin the reasearch, and it is a good thing, YET the topic is truth which implies some sort of accoutabily and integrity and public open forums do not really provide that .

I got my cats when my children were young , and my cats have seen all what this story says , We all grew up together and had a fun time all the birthdays all the moving all of it , the cats were part of the family, then they all left one by one they all left you know. what the kids didnt see was how depressed he got and how she would still run to the window waiting and looking at the end of the school day time. I never let that fat old rather unkept of a fur ball on my bed before they left but when he spent three weeks sitting at my youngest door waiting for it to open with eyes that killed me, one night i said ok but just till you feel better. it has been a few more years and now i wake in the night to reach for a fur mess and pull him close like the best teddy i could ever have , i like the smell of his fur and his loud obnoxious purr every time i roll over and he gets up walks over my body and lays back in my arms, every single time. i promised them I wont leave them, and I wont not ever. I think humans might love their pets but no way are we ever so loyal as they are.

Paul also dealt with people face to face with testimony they had to be verified by two or three witness, they were willing to go to that person and say hey we have a problem with what YOU DID! then go to the church which was NOT without a face or a name , they stood face to face not on an public internet with zero accountability. I address that point in my comment. two different times and methods of communication are presented how can you possibly compare them? they knew each other well, face to face, and had all things common, the internet is a far cry from that community is it not?

commintment? not so much to me. I think bad behaviour comes from inability to express and oppression or fear and angry feelings inside. and they are emotions that may or may not have any thing to do with the actual person or situation at hand in the moment. what do you have to lose? those invested in twi, lived for twi, occasionly went to a fellowship the list is endless on motive of why people got involved, stayed involved etc. I just hate it when they say God almighty is the reason. i do not believe it for a moment, God is not twi, or the church next door, or a leader speaking for him no matter how many bible verses they can say.

Danny is right i wrote about it a few pages back. The us and them mentality of a cult. Rascal you make this a hostle place for anyone who has experiences that you do not approve of. you write alot and call posters names and make false accusations about what they said when they didnt even remotely say anything close to what you scream and complain about. then when they try to show you that they didnt say that you put another hole in your belt and get even worse at your very personal attacks all the while claiming to be the victim. im not talking about your situation while involved in the way. I like your recpie I will try it we had a similar recipe but used mashed potato from the day before or lunch. I was thinking about why and i remembered we had a wood burning stove to cook on and the wood and heat was probably being used for the meat (irish much?) so we fried them. no they are not dry 1 we put alot of butter in our mashed potatoes! 2 we do put milk in 3 the onion adds some water and flavor. the bacon grease has to be HOT HOT you make a little pancake with your hands throw that bad boy in and a crust appears from the crispies from the bacon fat and then you flip it over and yummy . the pancake is not big about the size of your palm depending how many people your feeding and how many are left over! you do understand when i say "mashed potatoe" they have been boiled already and mashed right?

I believe that is why Jesus says to forgive and any vengence belongs to him waysider. We do not understand God his ways are very much higher than our He is love and suffice to say endeaver as we may to care and seek His way we have all been sinful and a mess. that is why Jesus says he will take care of the wrongs and make them right for us. we can not be trusted with the care and concern of one another all of us have been very wrong and very right, we are still just children. but do not worry Jesus can handle the job, i have had many conversation with my Lord and i trust he is the one and only who truly can judge who or what we have done.

Actualy alot places do not do "background checks as they are expensive. yes the "better jobs would but a CNA in a nursing home is asumed to have had a "background check" Well the check is within the time of their certification, and most recertify with employers! if you get that ? in other words if your working as a nurse or a CNA your employer is responsible to recertify it is just a matter of a paper or a web site in which the employer says the employee is working as such and has complied with all in house training, boom recertification! no background check is done. yes you may have been convincted of a felonyin the past two or three years your certification has run but if not reported to the employer and it isnt required for the courts to report who knew? even then it would be discrimination and a fight if they were already employed if you apply to a new job the "background check they look at is a web site which states whether your license or certifcation is in good standing meaning you have not been found guilty of abuse ON THE JOB . if you have six rape charges and a drug charge outside of your capacity as a CNA it is not on that check!! it is only the background of you as a CNA and whether the state has ever filed charges on you as a CNA. or nurse etc. huh????? true . scary . some do a background check but in NY a check takes at least four months for the state to process and with the turn over of personal on nursing homes it is more of a fine or trouble from the state to have short staff than to have staff that is guilty of past criminal activities. so they work until the check comes back... and then they can be dismissed if it is too bad BUT they can just go to the next home as that employer is not allowed to release that private information about the individual to another employer. and it begins all over again. but anyways back to the young man and would his convinction show up on a background check Well i do not know if the judge orders that it is just for the application or if it is all together not going to show up if they do a criminal background check! i asked my daughter who hires and fires and she said that is why her company doesnt even bother with the criminal checks any more! expunged means the record is swpt clean, then why the records of convictions? i was very ssurprised i tell ya.

on a side note about what people an know about one another.. I was at a meeting for people networking , this shocked me, but it is true. this kid really a young man in his twenties said he had just got out of prison , and need to know where a certain court was . i didnt recognize the circuit court and asked why. ok and this is the part that killed. dude just walked out of prison (for drugs felony) with a lengthy a record . so he was asking if he needed to check that little box on the job application if you have ever been convicted for a crime. she said no. he didnt ? he just came out of prison??? he needed to go to this court and asked the judge to sign a release of some sort saying he did not have to tell of his conviction on the application . no big deal that is what he had to do when he went to prison before !ok then! wow . i was amazed that is even possible ! his was drugs i am sure the judge would reconsider if it was a violent crime like murder or rape.. but still. so we really do not know we are dealing with in society even with checks and balance. I do suppose it is right or eles we would be feeding the dude for free his entire life either on welfare or in the prison, this would give him a chance. In new york with three strikes your out policy a convicted felon 3 times is not alowed to stay in this state, he must be removed to another state, he can not collect any money or aids etc.. even if he has done the time. but still! wow i was surprised.

I agree tom strange totaly. we were all a little crazy i remember well . potato exactly what i was saying twi had priorities and if your desire was to go corps get sponsors ask them to pay for it they took it very seriously. i know i was there too, so IFyou did get pregnate while in the corps , you had to leave and "break a vow to God", or the simple and it was very easily given as the solution to alot of that type of problem going on was just have an abortion, no one get hurts and you keep your vow to God continue in the corps. i saw one couple go in and out of the corps three times in three years.. they had children one was ill so they had to leave.. and that poor couple ENTIRE life was all about getting to go into the way corps to please God. and they had very tiny children at the time who should have in my opinion been their focus esp. since one was very seriously ill and born with many problems. i think and this is so sad i want to cry I think they thought if they pleased God enoug by doing what twi said they needed to do then the baby would have abetter chance of being healthy and healed. is that not pitiful? but that was the group i was involved in. they ended up divorced and the child went into a home for the disabled. they ran classes they opened their home to fellowship 3 times a week they towed the line.. they did everything right. just to remember this is getting to me. sorry. Rape is a crime that is prosecuted by the people of the United States of America, the attorny for the district prosecutes an idividual for which a crime against that district. the victim has little or no say in the matter a crime can and is prosecuted with or without a "person" the victim is the united states and its people. crimminal court has a much much higher standard of proof. if a dr. from a emergency room reports a rape to the police and the "person" will not or can not cooperate the crime is still prosecuted. dead people do not speak well about what happened to them... yet we do manage to put those who murder behind bars! it is STATE vs JOE Smith. lcm was never charged with any crime . a civil court is an individual seeking compensation for damages done to them by another party , asking the court to resolve the issue at hand. it is JOe Smith vs Joe Smith hello judge we cant agree want to help us out and make the choice for us? we have attornys ! two very very different COURTS!!!

That is a very sensitive topic and one i will probably get into trouble for speaking about. twi stance on body soul and spirit was very clear it is the first session of the pfal class. because of this session a pregnacy was not a baby, a life etc. I really do not want to discuss the merits of whether abortion is right or wrong. so I believe abortion became common place because of two reason sex was not that big of a sin if you could handle it, etc... the priority was GOD ie the ministry and their needs being the bigger God . to serve God was bigger than a pregnancy which was not a life anyways as defined in body soul and spirt. so many so very many really believed we were changing the world ya know really saving it all in the fact we belonged to the way ministry!!! right up there with all of it mini jesus's running around on a mission from God almighty through the way international. it was really that grandeous . so abortion turned into not a real big thing for a christian outfit. but pfal was everything or going wow or the corps.. etc. when i was pregnate with my second child , my marriage was rocky and my obgyn knew it, she nearly demanded i abort that pregnancy , she said and i quote "you have a responsibility to (MY first born child name here) if you decide to carry this pregnacy you will be taking food out of her mouth"! i felt the pressure to abort so strong from my own MD who i loved dearly and trusted . it was my choice and as much as i didnt want to lose her , i considered what she said and it did frighten me as the future was unknown for me .. on many levels i had serious medical concerns the pregnacy was extremly troublesome and the odds were i would miscarriage anyways. she told me i will not carry it five months and why not just be safe and healthy and do the right thing. she conseled me out of love and concern and her expertise as a very very good obgyn. she was/is one the best dr's in this city. i switched dr.s ended up with a freak who didnt speak english. another story but i was told i would miscarry anyways so it was only a matter of time. well my son is a fine upstanding man pushing thirty now. ok my point.. sorry so i do know the pressure one can feel to make a choice other than what their heart says is best. and I do know how twi taught that twi was God business and it was more important than anything and certainly more important than a pregnancy. that being said consel yes i believe to maybe have an abortion, if your heart and souls desire was to serve God or twi the same thing in their eyes, because it was not a huge issue of murder etc. since then many have changed their views on abortion and now reject the idea of body soul and spirit. but i do not believe any woman was thrown out of the way minstry because they chose not to have an abortion and not go wow or into the corps. now if it is a personal thing where one is having sex and one gets pregnate and one is married or something and all icky and sinful like that well then im sure the pressure would be greater.. as it would be outside of a cult as well. the thinking was 1 it was not murder 2 it was not a baby 3 the exspectation of twi was to serve twi first and foremost 4 as always the choice was/is made by the woman who was pregnate and her dr. it is a medical procedure in which no one eles can force you to do. twi didnt perform abortions, im sure they made arrangements, they were good at helping one reach their goals of serving twi. twi loved kids look at their big leaders in the 80 Vince F. had a ton of children they all had many kids supported by twi and your abundant sharing, in the eighties they did NoT restrict how many children the leaders could have in their family. geez they were always pregante .. Yates is another one they all had at least three or four . which i didnt have a problem with. later it got down to that tho when the well was going dry.
