  1. Yeah, now.....its God's will for twi to have $57 MILLION in assets/investments tucked away for the security....er, more abundant life.....er, "moving the word" and all that jazz. The fleecing of people will go on until the deception is exposed in full. For some.....even looking at an oz behind the curtain may not be enough.
  2. In its heyday, twi was ON THE MOVE with planes(2), motor coaches(2), Harleys, and an 18 wheeler. IIRC....the 18 wheeler was purchased in 1980 and was an amazing rolling billboard: The Way International On The Move. This was during the era of the big Limb Homes and major swaths of corps leadership were moving to assigned areas. An 8th Corps grad, Jeff, was the designated driver of the big rig and twi's Transportation Department kept him rolling down the highway. Howard Allen was the trustee overseer of the Transportation Department and I remember the day he announced that twi's 18 wheeler was in a crash.......and basically, totaled. A couple of days later, when I was in Don B-urke's office, there were the pictures of the mangled tractor-trailer. No one was killed, [at least not to my knowledge]......but I don't ever remember seeing Jeff at hq again. Was he fired? I never heard about it. All I remember was.......silence. Why didn't twi replace it? Didn't they have insurance on the 18 wheeler? One accident.......and that's it? They no longer NEED it? See.....that's the amazing thing about those twi-memories. So often, when something happened.....we were given the "don't ask any questions, if we want you to know anything....we'll tell you." And, perhaps.....others who came along years later didn't even know that twi had one time had its own 18 wheeler rolling down the highways of America. Twi is a shell of its former self. Today, its like a small-time, country church with its little congregation and sanctified cemetery nearby. If you're faithful to the church, then you get to be buried by the church with some dignity intact. Rosalie is like a little quiet church mouse compared to the roaring Harleys of wierwille's twi. My, oh my......how the "mighty" have fallen. :)
  3. 1st Gear........Recruitment Gear Tell your friends, knock on doors, witness at malls......recruit, recruit, recruit. Go to twig, try to get sign-ups for class.......and then, monitor him thru the class. Newbie looks around abit and then leaves twi....another one "bites the dust." No new people at twig tonight.....the leader takes everyone out witnessing. Repeat. Twi is a cult. They DO NOT WANT you innies to find 2nd gear.
  4. Or....as in the case of CFF, Shroyer bequeathed the reins of his ministry [CFF] to his granddaughter.....something that she requested from her 'dear grandfather' many years prior to his death. Now, she is cff's prez. See......that's how "spiritual" that group is.
  5. Yeah.....I asked that question a couple years ago. Could it be that wierwille plagiarized someone's work to inject it in his master's thesis.... then, just cut-n-pasted it with minor additions for his doctoral work? Surely, wierwille didn't cut every corner in the book as a student, too? :o
  6. Mrs. W's book......page 67 On July 5, 1948, our family of five began a trip in our new 1948 Chevrolet, given to us by the Wierwille family, to Manitou Springs, Colorado. Rev. Wierwille had been taking correspondence work with Pikes Peak Bible Seminary and Burton College and writing his doctoral dissertation on "Peter the Preacher." By being in attendance at the seminary in Colorado, he was completing his requirements for a Doctor of Theology degree. Students there came from India and China as well as various parts of the United States. Along with taking course work, Rev. Wierwille also taught two classes: "Radio Preaching Techniques" and "Peter the Preacher." On Wednesday, July 28, 1948, he was awarded the Doctor of Theology degree by Pikes Peak Seminary in a ceremony at the Community Congregational Church in Manitou Springs.
  7. Mrs. W's book......page 30,31,32 On May 29, 1938 Victor received the Bachelor of Arts degree at the Mission House College, Plymouth, Wisconsin. The following summers of 1938, '39 and '40, Vic attended the University of Chicago Divinity School while continuing his seminary studies at Mission House Seminary during the regular fall, winter, and spring school terms. [p.30] [bottom of page 31].... In June 1940 I left my nursing job in Sheboygan and went back to my parents' home at New Knoxville to get ready for the birth of our wonderful first child, Don, which event took place on Sunday, August 11. Vic was in Chicago for summer school. He came home on short notice when I went into labor and remained with me for a day after Don's birth. He then went back to Chicago to finish summer school. Later that August of 1940, all three of us traveled on old U.S. 30 to New Jersey so that Vic could begin studying for his Master of Theology degree at Princeton Theological Seminary. He believed he could learn much at Princeton, especially from Dr. Blackwood in practical theology. .....[near bottom of page 32] After the memorial service [of Mother Wierwille -- age 66], we returned to Princeton, where Victor finished his course work and wrote his master's thesis, "Peter As An Evangelistic Preacher," which completed the requirements for his Master of Theology degree. On May 13, 1941, Vic, along with twenty other Princeton seminarians, received that degree. We returned to New Knoxville for a few days, en route once more to the Mission House College and Seminary, where Vic formally received his Master of Theology degree which he had actually completed the work for at the end of the summer of 1940. His diploma is dated September 1, 1940. .
  8. So......according to Geer's letter THIS was the problem: "What has occurred is like a fire-fighting team trained to handle a specific emergency. When the emergency arises, the training would have proved to be adequate; the equipment would have been adequate; but those trained do not will to respond or they respond inadequately. Dr. Wierwille's burning, heart desire for The Way Corps was that there would be men and women to carry on the great outreach of the integrity and accuracy of God's Word - It Is Written - when he had fallen asleep. When there was no response, or inappropriate response, by those who had been trained or equipped, the response of those who were untrained and unequipped might have been long on zeal but all too short on knowledge. Click Here --- on page 1 There it is in a nutshell......Geer states that wierwille's burning, heart desire for corps was to KEEP YOUR ALLEGIANCE TO VPW/TWI AND RUN PFAL. What a garbled non-response response to "the root problem" in twi......of which, it seems to me that corps and clergy were EXITING twi for greener pastures and personal pursuits. The mystique of wierwille had been RUNNING ON FUMES FOR YEARS......and when vpw died, with health issues and he couldn't seem to believe God for his own healing, the myth of the man was decimated to his staunch "leaders." The gig was up. For those who were paying attention, this was not news. Peter W@de split out in 1975. Some clergy I knew had quietly left in 1978. Some corps grads were going to Chicago to get doctorates of divinity. Other corps grads, like Rev. L0nnel Johns0n were pursuing master degrees, [1983 ??] etc. Dozens and dozens of others were exiting each year. IMO.....Geer was calling out these "top-tier corps grads" who were abandoning ship. Oppression in wierwille's organization had run its course......and besides, after you've sat in pfal 25 times, the "whole package" no longer fit like a hand in a glove. It was a canned spiel. And, Geer's accusatory letter had broad brush strokes that seemed SO JUVENILE for a man who was, supposedly, a heartbeat away from the mog of the universe......ppfffft. I refused the accusatory tone and implications of Geer's letter and "spiritual perception." He was wrong. He didn't know my laboring for the Lord; he didn't implore a sampling of our prayer life and serve in the One Body; he was simply attempting to subjugate my allegiance back to wierwille/twi. I knew it then.....and understand it much better now.
  9. Bump.... First time I've read this thread. Socks makes many good points in his posts in this thread. All the kerfuffle that Geer injected with his arrogant poop-paper was a smoke screen and power-grab. I, for one, believe that clergy/corps/others were starting to sniff the sin, lust and idolatry in twi AND the **dots were connecting BACK to wierwille.** Then, Geer comes smugly across the Atlantic "with the last will and testament of victor paul wierwille".....to re-establish the servitude/pecking order and allegiance to twi's so-called "father in the word." [uGH] It was a slap in the face. Socks....wherever you are, thanks again for your posts and insight. :)
  10. When you're 18 or so.....recruitment seems like "involvement." Being young and given the responsibility to go out there and "win others" seems to have merit. But twi-recruitment is more like being a pawn. Twi wants to use YOU to find and recruit others for twi-servitude. You know, it would be quite another thing IF there was a godly purpose in it.....like worship God, follow His dictates, live love, do Christian service, etc. etc. But no.....twi has a twisted, deceiving agenda. Ever notice where twi REALLY STANDS on marriage, children, etc? If anything come between you and recruiting others, then twi recommends divorce. If children slow you down from "moving the verd" then maybe you'd be better to not have any. Oh, the message is subtle. Twi doesn't want to be pegged as anti-family....but it is. Recruitment.....is first gear. Where are those highly-professional 48 year olds in twi......who are business ceo's or skilled professionals? Or, those with large families......4, 5 or 6 kids and are given the opportunity TO TEACH SEVERAL SUNDAY NIGHT TEACHINGS to witness God's blessing of big families? Yeah...that's right. Those types are absent from the scene. Instead you get old, dried-up, divorced "teachers" who instruct you about life and living......ppffft. Twi has NEVER taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. They don't know what it is.
  11. Yeah......like that rust-bucket, oil-dripping wow-mobile at the roa. Stuck in the mud. Those of us with our four-wheel drive jeeps and suv's are NOT AROUND ANYMORE to pull them out.
  12. In so many ways, twi is still in first gear........recruiting others. Wierwille's twi has NEVER shifted into another gear. Do they even know they have a 5-speed transmission? They ramp up the rpm's in first gear.....and that's it. The "recruitment" gear......onward and always. They agitate you to get involved and give your life for a cause.....and run that shtick to the red zone. What about marriage, family and child-rearing? What about career advancement and a profession? What about "life in all its fullness" and being a living epistle? Wierwille was a one-stop cult-organizer. He had NO depth of character or concern for others. In reality, he was not a leader who could recognize a problem on the horizon and FIX IT. Vpw simply refused to shift gear....2nd gear. Why was that? Well, for starters.....it changed the dynamics TO THE SIDE of the individual. If twi acknowledged THAT, then they gave power back into the hands of where it rightfully belonged......and wierwille's vice-grip on conformity would lessen. Recruitment, always......is first gear. They never change gears. Witness, recruitment at twig, run class......repeat.
  13. Remember when vpee would speak in tongues to show everyone? Every time he demonstrated it, he'd jolt his arm/hand motion for emphasis. Gawd.....even back then, I thought it looked contrived. And now, some 40 years later....I can't name ONE INDIVIDUAL who's come up thru the ranks of twi and recognized with a gift ministry. Not one. Just like wierwille conning his way thru plagiarized works of others, Geer attempted to live off his "Poop Thesis" and franchise his classes. SEE THE PATTERN? Wierwille was a hustler who feigned to believe the Scriptures and the men following in vp's wake are doing the same.....except with a provided list of gullibles.....er, followers. There's a reason why we're instructed to KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT. Words have a great capacity to deceive, but fruit reveals a healthy tree.
  14. And this ADDS more credibility to my first post on this thread......wierwille was MORE THRILLED with the class-based model of Leonard's class than the actual scriptures themselves!! Wierwille hijacked all of it.....class registration, class format, length of sessions, class graduation, class picture, and Maggie Muggins. Had to grab little Maggie, too? Yep. But then.....it seems to me that wierwille COULD NOT accept or manifest with unreserved conviction holy spirit within....[ie speaking in tongues in all its full-throated beauty]. Wierwille had a canned, rehearsed and repetitive *U shanta.* Ole Vic had gone to Calgary, Alberta twice to "buy the farm" and he didn't know the first thing about plowing. .
  15. I whole-heartedly agree.....what we were taught and experienced was fake, a cheap knock-off of REAL manifestations in REAL LIFE SITUATIONS. Heck, even wierwille's speaking in tongues SOUNDED PATHETICALLY REPETITIVE....and rehearsed. And, all that baloney about practice sessions seemed more like window-dressing for twig/class promo than to get out there and demonstrate the power of God. Where is the application of the other SIX MANIFESTATIONS in twi? Zilch, nada, nil. Even at the trustee level, who amongst them ever gave witness to power in manifestation? As has been discussed many times, even vpee's examples were generic and lame. But what about.....Harry? Ermal? Don? Wanda? Howard? Emogene? Craig? Donna? See? The ruling class of trustees/emeritus was one big, pompous hoax. THAT'S WHY.....the indentured servants [corps] have abandoned the manor. :anim-smile:/> .
  16. THAT'S WHY.....twi was a counterfeit. At best, it was a pseudo-business MLM model sprinkled with scriptures and principles..... and, at worse, it feasted on the lusts of the flesh and basked in idolatry. The teacher/student relationship was the basis of twi......NOT Christ as lord. And, therefore.....wierwille maintained authoritarian rule to his grave. It was a slick counterfeit in the modern-era.....but very similar to Simon the sorcerer. Wierwille continued to teach that it was about the abundance and power of God, but in practice he commanded his followers to affix their eyes upon him. At the far end of the commitment continuum was the corps indoctrination. After years of jumping thru hoops, corps GRADS found that wierwille kept adding more hoops. Some sniffed out the dependency, the oppression and bolted. Some corps grads just slipped away. Under threat of expulsion and public shaming, a majority of corps grads STAYED in twi for years against their better judgment.... Yet, in all its fanfare and boasting of "all nine all the time" and/or "the five gift ministries in the church"......it didn't happen. Twi NEVER ADVANCED past the "three manifestations operated in a twig" over and over and over again. Note: add a big, fat sarcasm tag to this.....wierwille's twi and these 3 spiritual toys played with over and over in twig. In all these years, name me ONE INDIVIDUAL who spiritually rose up thru twi with a genuine ministry of an apostle, a prophet or an evangelist? Just one. Even the teachers and pastors were cookie-cutter counterfeit. When measured against the truth of scripture, twi was a false ministry. Wierwille's climb to the "summit of spiritual noblesse" ENDED IN A MIGHTY FALL: THUD.
  17. For some 12 years, wierwille struggled with the pathway before him....admittedly, he wanted to bolt from his church pastorate and move into business. Mrs. Wierwille's book, Born Again to Serve, delves into her husband's temperament and outbursts in his feelings of inadequacy and direction. Yet, all of this changed when wierwille took Rev. BG Leonard's foundational class in Calgary, Alberta in 1953. Was this class THAT liberating? OR......was it the pathway to a class-based ministry THAT was so liberating? IMO, it was the latter.....the class-based pathway that gave wierwille the fortitude to break from the church structure. And, with Leonard's foundational class in 1953, wierwille was able to distance himself from his church pastorate AND leonard with each passing year. That's the beauty of those one-sided isolation techniques.....it allows revisionist history to gain the narrative of one's summit climb. Sure, we've all heard vpee's spiel about "needing power and it wasn't there....." But stepping back a moment, the question arises "Separating the genuine from the counterfeit, does the one seeking power want it to HELP OTHERS....or does the seeker desparately want it to RULE OVER OTHERS?" And further, when Jesus said that ye shall know them by their fruit....I believe we are able to answer that question regarding wierwille's intentions and motivations. Time and time again, I witnessed wierwille verbally lashing out to cower his opponent.....er, student. In a class-setting, a controlled-setting.....yes, vpw came across as a patient and paternal teacher. But....on his feet, in the split moment of addressing real situations, questions and/or dissention......wierwille was a striker. His embedded first response was.....strike force. Juxtaposed from the gospels, where Jesus lovingly addressed one's sins, shortcomings or darkness.....wierwille displayed a pattern of promptly putting one in his place. In other words, a dress down....to make it abundantly clear that you weren't qualified to discern such spiritual matters. It had a belittling effect...to separate him from the immature, the little people. Mission Accomplished. Wierwille's Summit: Spiritual Noblesse.....vpee was on a quest towards "spiritual nobility." IMO.....When young wierwille attended E. Stanley Jones' Ashram in 1944 [with Rufus Mosley and Stanley Jones pictured in the front row near Jones and little whipper-snapper wierwille in the back row barely visible amongst the 320 or so present]....noted on page 48, mrs. w's book it speaks VOLUMES, to me, as to victor's "placement in the spiritual community" AND HOW FAR HE NEEDED TO CLIMB to reach any sort of recognition or notoriety. See, that's why I believe that, all along, wierwille's drive for "spiritual noblesse" was disingenuous, insincere. He wanted to rule over others, period. He wanted authority and a comfortable position to rule and control at another's expense. And, every enabler... er, trustee who pandered to this enterprise was complicit in counterfeiting the truth. Furthermore, every splinter group leader....most notably, Geer and Lynn and Finnegan have followed the same pattern as wierwille. But then, none of this is new. None of this is surprising. None of this is to say that we weren't ALREADY WARNED. Seducers and deceivers wanting to lord over God's heritage..... .
  18. A true narcissist does everything in his power to cement his thinking, philosophy and legacy. Wierwille did everything in his power to ensure that his corps leadership would follow his directives and that his successor would respect and build on the foundation that he laid.
  19. THEN......four years AFTER corps graduation, vpee wanted pertinent corps grads to go thru ANOTHER RE-EDUCATION TRAINING PERIOD to mold them some more. See, it never ended until wierwille had them made in his image.....OR he forced them out! The more I've learned thru the years........the more I believe that many, many corps grads had run-ins with wierwille and/or rhetorically "flipped him the bird" and left. IIRC......Tommy Cr@bb was one of those guys who wanted very little to do with climbing wierwille's hierarchy of Nazi-corps.
  20. Reading about the passing of Tommy Crabb [5th corps].......Click Here and it brings to mind thoughts of the free-wheeling spirit of men like Tommy Crabb and Donnie Fugit and the Wichita area. What a twisted clone zone the corps program was for such free souls. It's people like THIS that, I believe, should have been left alone to reach the "unreachable." And....it points to the utter failure of wierwille wanting to usurp individualism and attempts to make them into something they weren't........clones. Did the corps program, the clone zone, help Donnie to "reach others?" Did a briefcase-totting corps grad carry more power and clout? Or....did wierwille SIDE-TRACK the dynamic outreach that Donnie and others could have had just being themselves? Maybe, a two-month long "summer program" to teach pertinent info to aspiring leaders and such.... but NOT indoctrinate them in a four-year long program of twi-servitude. Uugh.....with each passing year, I see how deceiving wierwille was in ALL HIS WAYS.
  21. FREEDOM.......from the drudgery of twi's indentured servitude. FREEDOM.......from manipulation and financial exploitation (abs). FREEDOM.......to pursue a life and lifestyle of your own choosing. FREEDOM.......to distance your family from other cult snares. Discussion forums like here at GreaseSpot Café provide an excellent venue for exposing twi's manipulation tactics and snares. It gives the reader/poster a number of vantage points......fellow laborers, corps program, hq staffer, or field perspective that helps to *connect the dots* of twi's bandwidth of exploitation. Far from isolated incidents, twi's stripes can be seen from its stolen inception (1953) and identity. Understandably, those caught in the swirl of twi-activity.....the rewriting of wierwille's ministry..... the like-minded camaraderie of working together of "friends".....the constant spiritual propaganda that those in twi's household are unique and special and WILL BE REWARDED, the hard truth as told on GS confirms what your inner conscience has been signaling for a long, long time. You've been lied to.... and suspected as much, but unwilling to really investigate it for yourself. Now you know. And, freedom awaits. Take a deep breath and start walking. :)/>/> .
  22. The corps became the grunt workers when the elders were nearby.......or the house servants of the manor. Yeah.....the disciplined corps had been indoctrinated and integrated into twi-servitude......the valets, parking attendants, coat-takers, escorts, waiters, waitresses, kitchen staff, ushers, entertainers, singers, etc. as "the royalty court" makes its grand entrance. At major events, the thousands of servants [corps] were in attendance for the beckon call or nod of the president and first lady....vpee and dots. VANITY OF VANITIES......as twi lauded its self-proclaimed importance to its fawning followers. What was it?....nearly 90% of twi-activity and workload was IN-HOUSE operations. All that work and fuss so wierwille could be elevated on his mog-pedestal. Twi's "prevailing word" is now living in a retirement center.
  23. Maybe.....he learned how to "sequence together" these events from twi in the manner that vpee sequenced his chapters and books? See "pfal perception is everything" thread.
  24. And.....to think that transcribers and editors were in the background helping wierwille with all this. No writing skill needed......just teachings transcribed and patched together.
