  1. And.....THAT is why going thru "What Wierwille Said" is frustratingly laborious and futile. Especially now that most here at GS are no longer young and gullible. I know, I know.....I'm 'preaching' to the choir. :)
  2. 3. Shy Away from Change. Mentally strong people embrace change and they welcome challenge. Their biggest “fear,” if they have one, is not of the unknown, but of becoming complacent and stagnant. An environment of change and even uncertainty can energize a mentally strong person and bring out their best. Wierwille proclaimed twi to be......'The New Dynamic Church.' Yet, NOTHING could be further from the truth. Wierwille's twi was a cyclical clone-fest around this cornfield cult. Run, re-run and re-rerun pfal over and over and over again. The doctrine was "Running pfal classes IS moving the word." The whole thing was a static, never-change, sham !! Ever notice that the strong-willed, independent souls LEFT RATHER QUICKLY. They saw the complacent, stagnant cesspool......and it stank. The strong embrace CHANGE that brings productive results.
  3. 2. Give Away Their Power. Mentally strong people avoid giving others the power to make them feel inferior or bad. They understand they are in control of their actions and emotions. They know their strength is in their ability to manage the way they respond. All those years in twi....taking the fnd, int, and adv class and it was NEVER enough. Wierwille kept dangling the carrot of "grow to be spiritually mature" with classes and programs......yet, with all my fingers and toes I still can't count the number of times that I saw those confrontational onslaughts to corps, corps grads or clergy. Nobody was ever going to rise to vpw's level (cough, cough) of spiritual maturity. To my knowledge, NOT ONE PERSON ever rose up thru the corps ranks and had a genuine ministry.... ie apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher. Wierwille was THE MAN. Everyone else was, distantly, inferior to him. That's why.....when people exit twi and THE SCALES FALL FROM THEIR EYES those people become emboldened. I will always remember how martindale, on a corps night, trashed M@ry Lou Shr0yer. He noted how she had suddenly become brazenly bold after John and her exited twi ........and thus, she was OBVIOUSLY possessed with a daimon spirit. See how this game is played? They ALWAYS want you to remain inferior. And, they will lie to your face to achieve this end.
  4. Here at GS, we've discussed how twi-followers are grafted and institutionalized thru a process of dependency, manipulation and exploitation. The corps training was NOT a leadership program, but a follow-ship indoctrination. Twi's environment breeds dependency and incompetency.....and thereby, one NEEDS to be led. Mentally weak followers are trapped in a lifetime of twi-servitude. This article stands in direct contrast to twi: Click Here - Mentally Strong People Mentally Strong People: The 13 Things They Avoid 1) Waste Time Feeling Sorry for Themselves 2) Give Away Their Power 3) Shy Away from Change 4) Waste Energy on Things They Can't Control 5) Worry About Pleasing Others 6) Fear Taking Calculated Risks 7) Dwell on the Past 8) Make the Same Mistakes Over and Over 9) Resent Other People's Success 10) Give Up After Failure 11) Fear Alone Time 12) Feel the World Owes Them Anything 13) Expect Immediate Results Mentally strong people do NOT allow themselves to be entrapped. They forge ahead. Clearly, the strong do not willfully "give away their power" to another. Yet, that is the standard bearer of how we were taught in twi.....ie to become a great leader you must learn to be a great follower. Was wierwille ever a 'true follower?' Pleasing Others? Yeah, like....your branch or limb coordinator? Running errands, mowing the limb lawn, babysitting, class crew, etc. etc......trying to please? What about DOING WHAT WOULD BEST MOVE YOUR LIFE FORWARD ??!! Ooooohh....what radical thinking, eh? See how far back this *dependency-indoctrination* started? See you at twig.......and don't be late. :anim-smile:/>/> .
  5. And.....three years later this region guy and his wife DECEPTIVELY EXITED twi in the middle of the night with no forwarding address. What they did was request to step down and move into secular work....i.e. no longer work full-time for twi [now why would top-tier leaders want to do THAT if everything was peachy?]. So, they requested to oversee the local branch in that city. The night before the branch folk were to help them move to an apartment, the region guy called and told them that their help wasn't needed. Lo and behold.....this region couple left that night and ABANDONED twi with no forwarding address, nothing. Poof......they were gone. Yep, the same guy that smugly mocked me for exiting twi and walking away from the presidents' cabinet position. At least, I was honest and upfront about my decision.
  6. Yeah.....BUT this meekness must be in the same wheelhouse of that which twi considers "meek." You can't even go to the advanced class [to learn these 16 keys] UNTIL you abide by twi-doctrine of being debt free, right? No mortgage. No car loan. No credit card debt. Thus, you can't receive revelation until you've jumped thru twi's hoops and showed your local leadership that you are, indeed, meek. And.....if you ever dissent from twi-doctrine, then you're NOT meek and will be a "greasespot." See how this works. Therefore.......THE FIRST KEY is to obey twi leadership.
  7. My life got EXPONENTIALLY BETTER when I stopped trying to follow this one: To receive anything from God, you must first become meek ......BECAUSE twi had contorted this "key" to mean the follower was to obey his leadership in the chain of command whether twig/branch/limb/corps leader above him. If you were NOT meek to them[ie subordinate and cower to twi leadership], then you were in no position to be meek to God. The Phariseeism in twi had leavened the whole da-mn loaf. Screw that.
  8. Oh, what a cute little kiddie-song. And.....God has something to say via scripture, too. Stuff like taking another's wife. Or, predation over "the flock." Adultery is a no-no. Did wierwille listen? Did wierwille pay close attention? Nope.
  9. Another aspect that should be included in this thread is the pfal class......the thievery, the content and the filming of this class. Time and time again, wierwille gets to stand high on that pedestal because of the pfal class. Wierwille claimed that it was not just the content, but how he actually "put it all together." So.....was vpw walking by the spirit of God? was he operating those manifestations when it was filmed and taught? Wouldn't THIS be, at least, one of the BIG FACTORS in showing the followers that wierwille, indeed, operated word of knowledge, word of wisdom and kept those pesky dirty spirits away while the mog walked the walk? YET......there are blunders piling up that put vpw in physical calamity !!! Click Here -- The filming of pfal And also......THIS. What Maggie Muggins told us about wierwille
  10. Sometimes, I think we give wierwille way too much credit.....in many ways, he often didn't "fake the 9 manifestations" he just sidestepped them. On stage, he'd instruct us to look at this shiny object [bible verse] and then, insert a fabricated, personal story and we thought he was really *spiritual.* When, in fact, he spent his young adult life avoiding farm work and devising a plan to, somehow, find a niche where adulation and cash flow paid his indulgence and bills. Isn't a con man one of the oldest professions in the world? Right up there with.....prostitution? .
  11. Now.....regarding the last set of three, the power manifestations, faith (believing), miracles and healings..... With martindale and wierwille tag-teamed throughout the annual corps week at hq, they were miffed that the corps household could NOT believe.....you know, that manifestation of believing (much more oomph that just regular believing)..... TO STOP THE RAIN. Did these mogs get "word of knowledge" that with the corps gathered in one place, that our collective believing would be able to turn the rain clouds away? to sway the rotation of the earth? or just stop the rain by focused prayer (with believing, of course)? Heck, where TWO are gathered (with believing) it shall be done, right? Why couldn't the two mega mogs just stop the rain? See, that's the thing about all wierwille's pomp and bluster in pfal.... he couldn't DO what he preached to others.
  12. Yeah.....put yourself in my shoes. After a 10-day deprogramming experience, wierwille summons me to meet with him in his motorcoach. The bodyguards...er, safety guys come and drive me to wierwille's coach parked on the blacktop near the dog kennels. I had documented these 10 days, all typed and detailed.....while staying at Don and Wanda's house for 3 days. Anyways, wierwille read my deprogramming account and wanted to include my writings for his By The Way articles in the St. Marys Evening Leader newspaper. So......I'm there sitting across the small table from wierwille on his motor coach, and he looks me square in the eyes and says, "Your parents will be dead in five years for having done this evil to you." Here, this "man of God" directed this prophecy at me, regarding my parents. Five years? That's not a long time. And, I pondered this "prophecy" year after year wondering if it, indeed, would happen. But it never came to pass. My parents outlived wierwille's 1981 "prophecy" [of being dead in 5 yrs] by a large margin. My dad lived another 27 years [2008] and my mom, lived another 34 years [2015]. And yet.....wierwille was dead 4 years later. .
  13. Yep.....the man had his own agenda. The deduction was quite simple, actually. Wierwille uttered a "prophecy" and it did NOT come to pass. The man was NOT speaking "for the Lord"... and therefore, was NOT "the man of God." At least, NOT to me. Then......wierwille dies of cancer FOUR YEARS LATER. And, geer comes along in 1986 saying all the corps have abandoned THE MAN OF GOD [blah, blah, blah]. Another narcissist jr. arrives on the scene trying to guilt us with the "get on the wierwille-adulation band wagon" AGAIN. Just didn't buy into that crap for one new York minute.
  14. .....I remember someone telling about P@t Ly-nn and how, after a meeting/fellowship, that she asked if anyone needed ministered to. Well, about 12-15 people came forward and she laid hands on each and every one and ministered healing. And, weren't there several instantaneous healings too? That's what I recall. Yet, with wierwille, t0wnsend, lcm, geer, rosie......ppfffaauuuuds.
  15. Okay....now let me give you MY PERSONAL ACCOUNT of wierwille's adeptness of word of knowledge and word of wisdom....ie these two revelation manifestations. So....did wierwille receive word of knowledge that my parents were going to die suddenly after this? No. And further, he specified that they'd be dead IN 5 YEARS. Wrong again. Deut 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. Yeah, wierwille hid behind that all-inclusive title "the man of God"......a cunning craftiness move. And, vpw was certainly speaking "presumptuously" [showing overconfidence, arrogance or effrontery]. Wierwille was a blowhard, a braggart, and a deceiver. Perhaps, he just wanted to instill fear into me so that I wouldn't even consider what the deprogrammers told me. So, from my own experience.......wierwille gave me a quack-prophecy. The man was a spiritual hitchhiker......riding on the coattails of other mens' ministries and biblical work.
  16. 17) Don't be carried away by the sleight of wierwille and his cunning craftiness whereby he lies in wait to deceive [Eph 4:14]. Looking back at those 16 keys......now seem so trivial and patchwork. Really? It's a set of 16 and NO more? The list looks like it was put together for 3rd-graders. How many of us EXPECTED to see much more "hands-on" at the advanced class? How many of us were disappointed by all the Old Testament reading at the adv class? Heck, I thought this twi thingy was (cough, cough) the new dynamic church? Not once did wierwille come front and center and REALLY TEACH the other 6 manifestations. In fact, the only stuff we heard directly related to wierwille was dust-covered, no-eye-witnesses, in far-away India or such......from a long, long time ago. Yeah, riiiight. Can you say cunning craftiness whereby he lies in wait to deceive? Stop and think about it.....many of US left the advanced class perplexed deep down. I was disappointed. The way it was handled seemed off-kilter. The afternoon twigs where information, like the 16 keys, was rehashed over and over.....yet, no questions or deep dialogue. We were railroaded to follow the wierwille way. That was at the adv class level. Same deal with the corps "training." If the wierwille gig was SO SPIRITUAL......why were so many slipping away? BECAUSE....imo....along the way, people were sniffing out the deception, the hypocrisy, the abuse and exploitation, in essence THE SUBTLE POWER OF SPIRITUAL ABUSE. My gut instincts told me to bolt......time and time again. I should have followed the 17th key, as listed above, and exited. 16 keys enshrined in twi lore. I think there's 40 keys.
  17. Yeah....guilt is an ugly burden to bear. At that roa, I stood there aghast at wierwille. WHY wasn't he out front DOING the ministering? He's the, supposedly, "man of God" and all. Oh, that's right.......LEAD FROM BEHIND the microphone. Hypocrite.
  18. Wierwille....up close and personal, was a deceiver, a spiritual FRAUD. My eye-witness account, as noted above on this thread......was during my INTERIM CORPS YEAR. Having observed this "discerning of spirits" by vpw, I was greatly disappointed and it tarnished any respect that I'd built up for the man. What about all the other corps grads and clergy that were EXITING twi? Did they, too, see some of these things? Did others start seeing wierwille as a deceiver? I think so. Heck, I'm sure that I wasn't the ONLY ONE who stood at the roa and wondered WHY WIERWILLE WAS STANDING AT THE MICROPHONE DICTATING ADV CLASS GRADS TO COME FORWARD AND MINISTER HEALING TO OTHERS???
  19. As an eye-witness of this account..... 1) Wierwille proclaimed the 8th corps guy POSSESSED 2) Then, vpee glared, yelled and fumed....and yelled some more 3) The guy stood his ground.....eyes focused on vpw 4) Wierwille, wild-eyed, ratcheted up the confrontation 5) Nothing but a yell-fest and wierwille stormed to the backroom And....THAT folks is discerning of spirits. :evildenk:/>/>/>/>/>/> Why....it was AMAZING to see "the man of God" in action. :rolleyes:/>/>/>/>/>/> And further.....since NO ONE could question wierwille's "spirituality" we had to eat, sleep, and work alongside a corps guy who, supposedly, had some frikken spirits residing in his brain cells. hahahahahaha .
  20. Rather than get bogged down in the speaking in tongues/interpretation argument again I want to address wierwille's (cough, cough) 'discerning of spirits.' *********** In my 24-year involvement of twi, I never saw wierwille or the Pharisee hierarchy go face-to-spirit with a "possessed" individual. No naming, no addressing, no confronting and NO casting out of spirit(s).....even when the claim was made that such an individual WAS POSSESSED. The most vivid example is..... SO.......wierwille yelled and yelled, and johnnie t0wnsend confronted some more and when it was all said and done, the "POSSESSED GUY" went back to his unit and we "coexisted with a devil spirit embezzled on hq-grounds. YUK, YUK, YUK. Go read the gospel records, or the Book of Acts, and SEE THE GENUINE. Wierwille, T0wnsend, Geer, Martindale, Rivenbark......ppffffftttt. Maybe, I'll come back to this thread and relate Martindale's yell-fest of Mich@el F0rt, Howard Allen's son-in-law.....and how "POSSESSED" F0rt was as the trunk coordinator......AND martindale demoted him and sent him to be the Indiana Limb Coordinator. Doesn't every state need a "possesso" as their local leader?
  21. Yeah....how twi leader exploited Twinky is heart-wrenching. Brings to mind the following threads: Dependency: Twi's Sinister Plan Manipulation of One's Consent
  22. AHA.....when they whispered in your ear, you considered and so began your downfall. Seriously, though Twinky......your story is gut wrenching. My heart and prayers go out to you for this calamity that twi heaped upon you. When one decides to go corps.....the undertaking of such is monumental. Stop the direction of your current life and......redirect. For some, stop your goals of higher education....and go WOW. For some, give up your business goals.....and learn to live frugally. For some, upend your lives and your kids' schools and friendships. For some, charge into the future with a hope and a prayer. .....believing that twi's corps program is worth it.
  23. Twinky....I agree with much of what you're saying here, although I see it more as indoctrination rather than mind-control. The classes.....fnd, int, adv, and others....were tweaked in such a way that we were beholden to 'The Teacher' and not God's gift to mankind, the Lord Jesus. Lip-service was given, but the substance and foundation left to the student was FOLLOW WIERWILLE'S TEACHINGS. Same deal with speaking in tongues. As has been discussed many times here at GS, I believe that twi's version and concept of speaking in tongues was a counterfeit. Wierwille sowed just enough tares (weeds) into the truth (wheat) SO THAT THEY WOULD GROW TOGETHER. As such, the weeds have a way of growing faster and deeper roots to get to the water in the soil to crowd out the growth of surrounding wheat [and yeah, I grew up on a wheat farm]. I believe, the gifts/manifestations from God are available......but were skewed in twi-land. That's why twi has failed so miserably and so many became entrapped in its barren wilderness. The longer one stayed in this desert....the more scorching one received. And, that's why so many of us post here. We are warning others of these dangers and snares.
  24. And.....if you quit, wierwille called you "a cop-out" whereas martindale mocked you as "a greasespot by midnight." Well....I call this Quack-Prophecies. Wierwille was just another blowhard. When I met with him after my deprogramming experience, he "prophesied" that both of my parents would be dead in 5 YEARS [by 1986] for this evil act. Sheesh....here, vpee was himself dead in four years and my parents were still around for another 22 yrs (dad) and 29 yrs (mom). And.....martindale trashed us, my wife and I, on the next corps night lying about why we left twi saying we were choosing to go "the way of the world" rather than follow our corps commitment. From some, I heard that he "prophecied" that our lives were over and the devil would take us out. Two years later, and martindale is ousted by twi's lawyers, and slithers outta hqs in the dead of night to a twi-owned home in Toledo. Twi had to pay out-of-court settlements to keep the martindale sexcapades hitting all the newspapers for all the world to see. So, twi-loyalists.....explain to me again how that "greasespot by midnight" thingy works in your sadistic world. Is John Reynolds a mini-greasespot because he couldn't get his health issues together as a trustee...and was a knocked down a few notches, yet still on twi-payroll? And, what about Donna? She and craig got a divorce? Why didn't she lose her corps status? Oh, that's right. Double standards. Quack, quack.....
