  1. October 20, 1978 --- Wierwille's closing paragraph in this corps letter "Hide this whole affair in your 'learning heart' and do not speak to others about it, not even Corps. Close the lid and throw the key away. I have not until this release, spoken or written anything about these three. I am sorry I had to follow this procedure. They talked too much and were not honest. It needed to be done." Sorrowfully yours, Victor Paul Wierwille ``````````````````````````````````````````` Well.....wierwille did INDEED talk about these three men before this corps letter. As noted above, I was an advanced class student and branch coordinator of branch #19 when wierwille spewed the cliff-note version of these 8th corps men. When I step back to think about that meeting, wierwille was tense, abrupt and confrontational. This "8th corps situation" was the backdrop for the 1978 Advanced Class and wierwille had this contentious pot on the back burner of his mind the whole class. In hindsight, it is clear to see that wierwille was stewing over this for months and, three months later, wrote the corps. Once again, ANOTHER corps letter of wierwille lamenting that corps were leaving him. That WAS the general theme in all these corps letters during this period......lamenting the fact that corps were exiting twi/corps and moving on with their lives. And now......what has become of those who were "standing with wierwille" to confront these three 8th corps men, Craig Martindale, Walter Cummins, Gary Curtis, John Crouch? ALL OF THESE WISE COUNSELORS AND RESEARCH/LANGUAGE EXPERTS HAVE EXITED TWI. From all that we've uncovered and discussed on GSC......these three 8th corps men were clearly justified in confronting wierwille and walking away to establish credibility and wholesome lives elsewhere. Good for them. Bravo.
  2. Here is what I remember..... When I arrived at Emporia Campus to attend the 1978 advanced class, I was designated as a Branch Coordinator. Within 2 hours, the branch coordinators were to have their first meeting to be given our marching orders.... er, instructions. Wierwille and Martindale were at this meeting......and within 20 minutes wierwille referenced these three 8th corps men and how they'd gone rogue and "had devil spirits." Yep, ole wierwille gave us HIS version of a situation that had NOTHING to do with us. What the hell was he doing? Well......1)Do what you're told, 2)Do not stray from twi-doctrine, or 3)You, too, will get possessed. Same ole intimidation/manipulation confrontation based on FEAR TACTICS. What were "your kind of people?" Well.....I see them as exemplifying critical thinking. They WERE doing Biblical RESEARCH to uncover deeper truths and/or expose wierwille's slipshod plagiarism. Obviously, wierwille was trying to discredit these men and it chapped his a$$ to be challenged head-on. Clearly, veepee was fuming about this and in October, three months later, wrote this long letter to corps and instructed corps not to tell others. Yet, wierwille had ALREADY violated his own instructions....as he had already told us advanced class students [branch coordinators].
  3. Obviously, Don Wierwille spent his life in a desperate search/identity/acceptance/validation of his Dad's approval. Unlike Karen and Mary, whose spouses took them further and further from the malignant narcissism of the wierwille patriarch.......Don just didn't have the inner-core identity and fortitude to be his own man. Being a "Dean" of the emporia campus was a joke. No Dean was needed to administrate the cult-driven, non-descript academic curriculum of this cult training camp. When Don left his Wisconsin principal position and signed on to his dad's traveling carnival show......the trajectory of Don's and Wanda's lives were sealed. The doctorate degree and Dean-designation that was dangled in front of Don's nose was just too tempting to pass up. The trap was set and then sprung as designed. Someone could write a book about the inner-turbulence and contentions of the wierwille family. By seeing how veepee treated some of his top leaders in public, I can only imagine what kind of intimidation and manipulation bubbled under the surface in that father/son relationship to effect Don's tumultuous identity of self. "The crumbling of the cult"...... In 1986, at corps week Geer lambasted all 3 trustees for abandoning the cult's patriarch. The Word in Business conferences that Don oversaw......were discontinued. The emporia campus became a shell of its former self and was sold around 1993. In the 90s, martindale reclaimed the levers of totalitarian rule to a hollow way tree. By 1995, all corps were placed on full-time payroll or dropped from corps listing. Don Wierwille, the vice-prez, became like Ermal Owens......silent and invisible. The mog at the top is where all adulation is focused....like totalitarian dictators. At age 58, Don Wierwille stepped away from this vice-presidency into irrelevance. He died less than two years later.
  4. And.....this associate degree from "The Way College of Biblical Research" is keynoted in one's obituary. As one goes to her grace.....it is listed to accentuate one's devotion and deep commitment to twi. Besides, when someone gives 30+ years to a cult......what else could be highlighted? Click Here
  5. Yeah.....with the 6th corps, right? Of course. That was the first year at Emporia when twi was scrambling to gut and construct a college campus.....er, corps training center with that huge influx of 6th corps. Started out with some 340 corps, right? Orders came down from wierwille to take the cross off the chapel. No crosses, right? That's just devilish stuff. And yeah...."pal around" with the college division. Everyone was scrambling to get this "training center" off the ground......and the two-tier system, [don't fraternize with the college division] came later. Obvious micromanagement came later. It always does. .
  6. Seems like you're injecting two different things here. What do you mean "starting?" I never stated that this was the first year that the college division started. My experience/reprimand was in Fall of '78.
  7. Yeah, THAT is a good question.......and the answer is "the corps program is for spiritual leaders and college division is for business and professions [who want to be their best for God]. IN OTHER WORDS.......wierwille had devised a damn tier system, a caste system, wherein corps were the spiritual elites [unless certain staffers, or inner circle favorites were MORE elite]. For me, the college division scenario was one of those first RED FLAGS. Because I wanted to spend time with this college division girl and was coldly reprimanded for it. See......"all the animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." Animal Farm You know the "unequally-yoked" verse that twi likes to spout........yet, when wierwille was still going thru seminary, he and this nurse, dorothy kipp go off to Kentucky and elope. They keep it secret......because it was against the rules. Were they "equally-yoked?"
  8. Once again, the reasons for Greasespot Café and its discussion forums comes into view.......to "tell the other side of the story" and offer up viewpoints, examples and real-life experiences to expose twi. Some call it "waybrain"......an indoctrinated, nostalgic ideology for twi. Some like to reminisce the corps experience or times when wierwille hung around with the staff on sunday morning under the apple trees. But then, GSC posters come along and challenge those facts, experiences, doctrines, etc. and a scuffle breaks out. The mere fact that Don Wierwille was highlighted as "Dean at WCOE"....what an absolute joke. The corps program had NOTHING to do "a college campus needing a Dean in administration." The more I think about it all.....WHAT A RUSE. Oh, I suppose one could point to the "College Division" [85 students??] a subset of individuals on "campus" treated like second-class spiritual citizens of wayworld who were housed in Emporia Hall or wherever. And, how long did that last? pppffftt. The way corps were NOT to assimilate with the general public. The way corps were NOT to fraternize or date college division. The Way College of Emporia was a training camp for the cult. No "Deans" need apply.
  9. Another thing..... When I was in-residence, 7th corps guys [carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc] were being "shipped out" to Gunnison and L.E.A.D. for like 2-3 months at a time for building projects. Classes missed? Grades? Who in the hell cares? The "way college of emporia" was NOT a legitimate accredited college campus with quality faculty......work projects and exploiting corps labor was the thrust. That's why I scoffed at that whole "Dean at WCOE" remark. I saw 7th corps guys given a day's notice before being shipped off to Gunnison......and they didn't give one whiff about the "curriculum." It didn't matter. The whole "campus" was a non-accredited façade. I was in college [business Administration] for two years before going WOW and Corps.....you know, class attendance, studying for exams, grades, prerequisites, curriculum, choice, meeting with faculty, etc. So let's get real, shall we? Twi's defunct campuses were nothing but slip-shod training camps for wierwille's cult of mystique and mysticism. Needs repeating.
  10. Naw.....I just don't equate a legitimate college campus "Dean" in the same equation as that manipulative, uncredited, cult-training camp in Emporia, Kansas. Don't take it personal, TLC.....I just happen to loathe that whole wierwille-adulation indoctrination wherein some, subtly, tried to engraft some legitimacy by credible titles like a "Dean" on campus. :rolleyes:/> .
  11. Yep....the "Dean" of the wierwille clone factory. Even while in-residence, I loathed the busywork, the double-standards, the favoritism and the hypocrisy. So, if you're trying to add credibility to Don Wierwille as the "Dean at WCOE".....to me, it only spotlights how he followed and swallowed his Dad's cult training center. Did Don sign off on having our corps coordinators lead us into muddy back lot after a 2-inch rainstorm and do football workouts/calisthenics until everyone was a muddy mess? barking orders? girls crying? what a night of intimidation stupidity......ugh. Did Don sign off on having us change dorm assignments in a February blizzard? Trudging thru 8-inches of snow? We were NOT done until every one in our corps twig had all their stuff moved to next housing room....and it just HAD to be done THAT DAY. pppffffttt. Did we have to sit cross-legged on the floor in the fireplace room? Even at 21 yrs old, the back starts hurting and legs were cramped after about 30-40 minutes. Why can't we sit in chairs? Bunch of crap manipulation.... And.....listening to Don Wierwille teach was about as exciting as watching cement dry.
  12. Not only does it expose wierwille's plagiarism.... 1) Deception -- wierwille let his mask slip, but covers again 2) Vaunted Arrogance -- wierwille builds his mog-doctrine as "THE man of God" 3) Pride of the 1944-1951 years at Van Wert -- on church payroll, building "twi" 4) Wholesale plagiarism -- side-by-side comparisons show the theft 5) Exploitation --- of others' time, money, energy, respect, adulation, etc. The arc of wierwille's life was one of deceiving to exploitation as he plundered along with his socio-pathological disorders.
  13. Admittedly, wierwille was on a "seven-year search" to plagiarize from someone who knew far more than him. This is noted in the 2nd Edition preface section of Receiving the holy spirit Today." "The Word of God is truth. I prayed that I might put aside all I had been taught and start anew with the Bible as my handbook as well as my textbook. It took me seven years to find a man of God schooled in the Holy Spirit, a man who knew the Scripture on the Holy Spirit, and could fit it together so that I did not have to omit, deny or change any one passage. He made the Scripture fit like a hand fits into a glove, and when you can do that, you can be assured of having truth." [For Emphasis]: It took me --- wierwille seven years --- the seven-years of itching ears [iI Tim. 4:3] to find a man of God [JE Stiles] schooled in the Holy Sirit, a man who knew the Scripture on the Holy spirit and could fit it together so that I did not have to do any work....er, omit, deny or change any one passage. 2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; Wierwille was "a teacher" with ITCHING EARS --- [as noted in this pastoral epistle] Bodda-bing, botta-boom !!! AS THE YEARS PASSED, it began to dawn on wierwille (or someone in his circle alerted him) that he had let his mask slip [with the admission IN PRINT]......and later additions of the book snuffed out this blatant, exposed plagiarist. Oh, wierwille thought he was so sneaky......didn't he? Sheesh, the "bread crumb trail" could easily be followed back to JE Stiles without this admission, but its laughable to see how slow wierwille was in covering his tracks. Here is how wierwille covered "The Seven-Year Itch" in the 7th Edition preface: "The Word of God is truth. I prayed that I might put aside all that I had heard and thought out myself, and I started anew with the Bible as my handbook as well as my textbook. I did not want to omit, deny, or change any passage for, the Word of God being the will of God, the Scripture must fit like a hand in a glove." More later....... And....this only scratches the surface of all his PLAGIARISM.
  14. Adding this link..... Was Wierwille a Narcissist?
  15. Wierwille thrust upon the corps an intrusive, overbearing abuse of power to ever-bend toward his command. There was no middle ground: either submit or leave. Even after a few years on the field, wierwille devised (and coerced) the early corps leadership back to headquarters for "re-education camp." These corps letters were nothing but a cunning ruse to extend his power and thwart his dissenters/adversaries. The corps program was the leaven that gave rise to twi's corruptive ways.
  16. Exactly right, waysider. No meaningful mention of God's nature, inner-working via holy spirit, fruit in one's life, personal development--(education, marriage, family, goals, careers), living for God....etc. Like you said, waysider....just wierwille lamenting letter after letter that corps and clergy are LEAVING. There is no way that this narcissist could conceive that he was off-course. Nope. He blames others for "not getting it" and leaving. This compilation of letters simply verifies what I've been posting all these years....ie there has been a continual exiting of corps since, at least, 1976/1977. It did NOT take Geer's pop paper to awaken corps. Many....yes, dozens and dozens of corps leaders (each year) have seen behind wierwille's mask for quite some time. Just like Peter W@de saw and left (1975). The wierwille mystique continues to unravel.
  17. Some excerpts from vpw's letters to corps: "I wish to God I had more ability to help people remain faithful in their standing on God's Word and with fellow believers...." [December 2, 1977] "As I look at some of the reports from my Region men, Limb leaders.....I see that you did not learn your lesson well. Thus, it may now be necessary for me to place you, if you care to be placed at all, in a position of much lesser responsibility..." [May 10, 1978] "Some I have ordained have not remained faithful--.......Why all the problems? I think you know what I mean. Fighting and dislike of each other--jealousy, prejudice, divorce, remarriage, dope, etc., etc., etc., God forbid that our ordinations of Way Corps grads turn into a mockery, and a laughingstock of the community." [December 1978] "I feel badly and am so hurt when anyone whom I have ordained walks away from that ordination commitment and the household." [January 25, 1979] "I believe we may have to rethink and reset some of our leadership principles and responsibilities. Corps grads apparently will have to be given more time to grow into leadership responsibility and authority. Perhaps I have given too much, too soon to too many." [February 28, 1979] `````````````````````````````` What was happening in wierwille's corps....in 1977, 1978 et al? 1) Corps are leaving 2) Infighting 3) Jealousy 4) Divorce 5) Remarriage 6) Dope 7) Etc. Yet, when martindale was ousted in 2000.....he was the fall guy? ppffftt. Wierwille's twi and corps program has been crumbling for a long, long time. .
  18. DWBH.....here's my perspective on your writing, input and delivery, never dial it back. I absolutely enjoy your posts. Your bold and descriptive exposure/confrontation of mogs/mogettes and their lieutenants reminds me of Matthew 23 when Jesus "laid it all out there" concerning the Pharisees (whited sepulchers, etc.). No one on these boards has seen what you've witnessed up close and personal. No one. And, where are the other 420 clergy that were once a part of the wierwille-deceptive-machine? A few dozen of them are in splinter groups living off the façade of the wierwille "foundation." Personally, I come to Greasespot to hear the OTHER SIDE.....and DWBH, you indeed shout it from the rooftops!! THANK YOU.
  19. Giving plenty of leeway to "VP's labor".......I would tend to classify it in four categories: 1)Classes (namely PFAL), 2)WOW and Corps programs (others as well), 3)Rock of Ages and 4)Staffed Headquarters. And further, as you noted T-Bone.....was there light in PFAL? Was there power to overcome darkness? If so, then why did Joan Williams succumb to ending her life less than 6 months after taking PFAL? Mrs. Wierwille details in her book "despondence over a relationship and her cultural background"...... Joan's suicide was the first one in wierwille's upstart ministry in 1957......4 months after moving off church payroll. Joan is pictured 4 times in Mrs. Wierwille's book. Dr. I.S. Williams opened every door he could for wierwille in India. Joan was in the first international PFAL class in 1957.......where was the spiritual overseer, wierwille??? This tragic suicide should have been a 4-alarm bell to wierwille's spiritual alertness/oversight or lack thereof??? So, what about VP's "labor" again? Was it just to get students thru the classes and move on? This precious daughter didn't have enough "light" from pfal to ward off an ending relationship? Or......what about that all-mighty revelation that the "man of god" walks with every day? pppfftt. I don't know.....guess it just frosts me to think that this precious daughter's suicide didn't send wierwille to his knees and humble his freakin' arrogance. Sheeesh. A precious "little lamb" is slain nearby, and yet.....the "man of gawd" is busy patting himself on the back for putting together such an incredible class that its light penetrates all the darkness around it. ppfffttt. Well....it didn't help her to overcome, now did it?
  20. Speaking of death and ruining peoples' lives....... [Born Again to Serve, p.216...."Joan Williams, the daughter of our dear Indian friends, was developing a serious romantic relationship with a young man in her second year at Defiance College. Just before he left to go home for the December holidays, the young man broke off the relationship. Because of her great disappointment and her cultural background, she became very despondent and ended her life. This came as very shocking, very sad news to us on Christmas Eve, 1957." Joan was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Williams, the hosts for the wierwilles during their India itinerary. Joan was in the first international PFAL class in Van Wert, (June 16-30, 1957). Six months later, she took her own life.
  21. Wierwillization was a ruse of activity without accomplishment, busy-work. Intense activity, busyness, haste, hurry, jump at command, hierarchy of spiritual elders, class setup, attendance monitored, meetings upon meetings, always in a hurry to get nothing done.... Yep....the free flow of one's capital [your life, time, money and resources] to serve the borg that never stops gorging at the trough of others' giving and ruse-induced support. Wierwille devised a corps program that sucked every conceivable resource from that individual until there was nothing left but an automaton way-bot programmed for next assignment. This constant migration of vagabonds, moving constantly from place to place, made for a wierwillian-culture always in flux. The building blocks of one's life [marriage, children, career, home, traditions, culture, interests/hobbies, extended family, community, etc] were irrelevant to the ruling elite.
  22. "Things like family, traditions, reunions (relatives, classmates, fraternities/sororities, etc), and friendships matter." Add....kicking around with college buddies, tailgating at football games, bar hopping, poker nights, etc. You know, "traditions" that were an important part of life and culture to a 20-year old. Instead.....weirdwille had us sitting cross-legged on the floor like 3rd graders at Emporia, at nightowls, while he sipped his Drambuie-coffee and bloviated his bullsheet. Gawd, what a wasted bunch of years as that false pretender spewed his braggard-arrogance meeting after pathetic meeting. All talk, all bureaucratic layering to suck life, living, resources, dreams, culture of all who enter into an abyss of cult worship. The longer one stays, the more the tentacles wrap around the very soul/ TWIexit....and don't leave them a forwarding address.

    TWIexit

The reasons for exiting twi might just be as vast as reasons for "jumping onboard" in the first place. Sure, there's the obvious......1)legalism, 2)arrogance, 3)micromanaging, 4)spiritual abuse, 5)mog/false teacher, 6)obedience/blacklisting, 7)dead end opportunities for advancement, 8)sheer boredom, 9)blatant hypocristy, 10)etc. But then.....there's YOU. If married, then there's another set of factors. If kids, more factors. Is this the life you want or are you being herded forward toward autonomous generalities? No dreams. No aspirations. No real goals. No genuine friends To exit.....I think has a lot to do with reclaiming one's life and sovereignty. After being bullied and pushed around for a number of years (decades), people want to stand up for themselves. Things like family, traditions, reunions (relatives, classmates, fraternities/sororities, etc), and friendships matter. Who in the hell wants to be an automaton way-bot for life? Subjected to a bureaucracy of monotony and servitude to overlords? And then......railroaded into observing twi's skewed "holidays" [uncle Scary Day, Pseudo-Pentecost, Mog-Birthdays, Bless or Treat Hallowed Saints, Thanksgiving in a cult, Ho-Ho-Re-Lo and Pray In the New Mog Year]. Gawd, I am so thankful that I exited that "mystery train" with a leap of faith.......to FREEDOM. There is no sign that says "exit ramp one mile ahead".....its that instinctive knot in your gut every time you attend another boring, regurgitated teaching that tells you to "Run Forest, Run!" It's time to let your conscience, and gut instinct, be put to a vote. TWIexit.
  24. Another thing..... Henry Ernst Wierwille bequeathed the farm he had lived on and owned to his three sons....Harry Wierwille, Reuben Wierwille, and Victor Wierwille. These three sons were the heirs, jointly, of the 147-acre wierwille homestead [1956] upon the condition that they paid grandson Charles Wierwille, Otto's only child, the sum of $2,400 in cash within one year from the time of Henry Ernst's decease. At a later date, Harry and Victor paid Reuben for his share of the farm and then deeded the farm to The Way International. Witnesses of this deed [Feb. 21, 1957]: 1) Victor Paul Wierwille 2) Dorothea Wierwille 3) Reuben Wierwille 4) Mary Wierwille (first wife) 5) Harry Wierwille 6) Zeitha Wierwille (first wife) Therefore.....in wierwille's mind and culture, the PROPER BIRTHRIGHT to RULE over the way international was WIERWILLE BLOODLINE. Twi had been intricately interwoven into THE WIERWILLE HOMESTEAD. The Way, Inc. was the wierwille homestead and the homestead was twi. Notice how wierwille always had a way of intermeshing two things. The same way that he did church pastorate while building side-project twi. Same deal as..."The Word is the ministry and the ministry is The Word." Victor's and Dorothea's children and birth dates.....1) Don [1940], 2) Karen [1942], 3) Mary [1944], 4) John Paul [1955], 5) Sara [1957] So, in wierwille's culture and lineage.....where dominant men lead....neither of his two sons, Don nor J.P., had the ability, prowess or passion to lead the way ministry. Therefore, vic started looking down the wierwille bloodline to publically and prophetically note Luke Somerv!lle. Why did wierwille overlook Don's son, Ralph? [somewhere I remember hearing he was adopted?] I do not know the wierwille grandchildren to even speculate why vpw singled out Luke. All I know is.....wierwille had EVERY INTENTION of keeping it in the wierwille bloodline. Fifteen years after vic's death, Don dies [age 60].....and wierwille siblings have distanced themselves from the corporate powers and Martindale is ousted from the presidency via two sexual predation lawsuits in the throes of major controversy and Rosalie stealthily claimed the presidency. The wierwille homestead is now under the rulership of two women....Rosalie and Donna. And, wouldn't it be fitting to see Rosalie give Donna "the big chair" in like 2020? I seriously doubt that little sputter groups, CFFM, or its derivative in Mississippi, S.O.W.E.R.S., will ever surge a comeback to reclaim the wierwille bloodline birthrights to what ole vic built ....even though two wierwilles, J.P. and Sara, work the channels of CFFM-leadership. .
  25. Adding to the "wierwille bloodline" discussion.... The following quote was pulled from the tread: To The Very End....Wierwille's Wantonness Donnie had no public speaking prowess.... Martindale was to keep "running the money and politics of twi"..... So, all that 1982 installment of the next "man of gawd".....the anointing of oil, the symbolic placing of the mantle on martindale, the prayer and prophecy over him, the public vow to support him......ALL FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION AND DECEPTION ??? Waiting for what??......the wierwille grandson (Luke S.) to fill the wierwille dynasty? Donnie never measured up to the old man's persona and prowess....so the whole of twi is in a "holding pattern" circling around the spiritual epicenter of the wierwille homestead waiting for the wierwille grandson to grow up? So......of the thousands of corps grads who "sat at the feet of the master" NONE were qualified to fill wierwille's shoes? If Donnie couldn't lead.... If Martindale was a placeholder.... If Geer-man was unacceptable.... If Walter didn't measure up.... If Lynn, Finnegan, Burton, Clark, etc. didn't have it..... What the hell were any of us being "trained" for??? Riiiight. Wait for the wierwille bloodline to course thru twi once again via the grandson whose parents didn't even stand with wierwille. :anim-smile:/>/> .
