BUT.......their exploited labor and MONEY fed the Multi-Level Marketing to further help them Selling Spiritual Soap. Seems like it was about 10 years ago when we referenced their $52 million.......NOW, it's $68 MILLION. Clearly, this "non-profit" organization is socking away about one million five-hundred thousand each year to their investment portfolio. By leveraging exploitation and abuse on their leaders/followers, the cult has all monies funneling into one central headquarters location......leaving many states without anyone on payroll. Talk about fleecing the flock............ The corps were indoctrinated to accept this and teach it to others. Getting a stupid, repetitive "teaching" tape each week is NOT spiritual oversight, or shepherding......or any other cherry-picked verse that the cult throws out there. It's exploitation. It. Is. A. Ruse. Wierwille taught this as doctrine......FALSE doctrine. The selling of spiritual soap to "cleanse one's soul" was a cheap knock-off product......that's why the cult-salespersons are always on the hunt for first-time customers. The twit-cult will ALWAYS be a revolving door.........as people see the exploitation and exit.
-
Excellent post and insight, DWBH.......thanks. Ros-a-lie.......The Mausoleum Matriarch leaves her mark on the twit-cult.
-
Yeah.....even that die-hard "R&R corps group" mounted enough critical thought and dissent to stand up to this abuse.....albeit decades too late. But of these some-60 outspoken corps exiting the cult........their kids? siblings? family? contacts? Will this ripple into a tidal wave of dissent? Another exodus of corps coordinators, limb coordinators, hq-staffers, etc.......and the cult had to go into major damage control mode. What do they say in business.......pi$$ off a customer and he/she will tell 12 others about the pi$$y product/service from your business. The negative will travel faster and further than any shiny pictures on the internet. When you sit down in your lofty dining hall at camp gunnison all 12 of you cult and emeritus directors.......be sure to keep that 13th seat open in honor of the one who rules your edicts, who proliferates strife, division and the devouring of others, Lucifer.
-
Yeah.......green grass and flower beds that are immaculately kept to perfection. The pictures of Camp Gunnison are deeply deceiving to those of us corps who slaved hours upon hours on those logs, railings, walkways, patios, stonework, and the grounds........as part of our "corps training." Yeah, right......ppfffffttt. More than headquarter's property, to me the camp gunnison property with its multi-million dollar log cabin compound is a testament to DISPOSABLE people. I remember the dozens of 7th corps electricians, carpenters, masons, plumbers, and construction guys who were sent "on special assignment to camp gunnison" to help with its completion. It didn't matter if these 7th corps missed Greek class or whatever was in the academic curriculum (cough, cough) that block.......the twit-cult needed their cheap/slave labor and the academic side was given a wink and nod. And, today........where are those dozens and dozens of "corps leaders" who were in the construction industry? GONE from the cult.........that's for sure. Sure......take those pictures when the grass is green. Take those pictures when there an "Advanced Class Special at HQ" that fills the auditorium to the brim.....yet, Sunday after Sunday Service and the attendance can hardly fill the front four rows before the staffers take their seats. Those pictures are the deceptive nature of the cult. When you've lost Boob and Doodie Moneyhands......you've got major problems at the root. Except for the picture of Ed and Donna D0ersam, I didn't see any long-time followers in that flickr slideshow. Where are ALL the corps leaders and advanced class grads from days gone by? Oh, that's right......a majority of them exited or were kicked to the curb. The new and improved cult has uploaded these pictures to the internet of their once-in-a-blue-moon event at hq.........fresh faces who come to greet, for the first time, the dolt-directors.....er, cult leaders. The whole thing is so staged, but then......SO WAS THE BRC-PROMOTIONAL VIDEO OF 1965. Remember that one.....where cars were pulling up to the brc and excited people getting out and entering the brc.....and mrs. wierwille told us at one of the corps in-residence sharings that people walked straight thru the brc, out the other door and got into another vehicle to "make it look like there was lots and lots of people coming to the way international." Deception even back then......oh my!! The cult has made its $68 Million off the backs of good-hearted people who were deceived. Today, it is still unrepentant of its evil. Yet, the record is clear.......where are the 3500 corps graduates who went thru their work/study/training program? Where are the 550 clergy? Where are the thousands of advanced class grads who gave their support to this organization? And, the answer is..........the cult uses and abuses people in its efforts to amass money, property, adulation and power. The Scriptures gave us plenty of warnings of seducers, hirelings and thieves.
-
The Way Whitewash and Denial Society.........INDEED. And Yet........in March 2017 dozens of corps leadership, who gave 35-45 years of their lives to the cult, signed a detailed letter of dissent. Might this be why the Moneyhands were M/A? In the past 10 years, twi is hemorrhaging corps leadership.......150 corps exited, and counting. New class graduates do NOT stay in the pipeline........thus, NO NEED for an advanced class each year. High turnover rate of staffers at hq......and a steady decrease of those wanting to work there. Attendance at the hq sunday services is consistently .....er, pathetically low. The Way International has a book value of $68 Million in assets.........and no transparency. Targeted character-assassinations and mistreatment of long-standing leadership.....with no recourse. Unrepentant Board of Directors continue to move ahead.......refusing to amend heavy-handed ways. For some who found this "utopia" over 40 years ago..........THAT WORLD just came to a screeching halt. .
-
Lots of cult events in that slideshow........and smiling cult leaders. Smiling faces tell lies........and I've got proof.
-
Well.......since posting these questions in November 2014, the cult has definitely answered them for me. That "kinder and gentler" messaging was a lie. That "Revival and Restoration" Group addressed some of these concerns when Rosalie & Directors tried to initiate another "program" for those nearing retirement or retired. In essence, the twit-cult wanted to slave-drive these corps with hard-hitting schedules/quotas/discipline/control to keep them on the hamster wheel. THAT.......was the my driving concern for starting this thread "senior citizen servitude." In a cult...........the hard-hearted "servitude" never stops no matter one's age.
-
To add more clarification........ In 1981/1982.....The Way Credit Union opened its doors to way-followers who needed financing for homes and automobiles. Dozens of Way Corps staffers GOT MORTGAGES......ie. finance personnel, security guys - (Linder & others), and others who were "safely ensconced at hq" and would NOT be sent out on the field. Indeed, there was this subliminal "code" that if you served the trustees and higher-ups directly.....they would "take care of you" (and not change your corps assignment to go do outreach on the field). This in-house perk to staffers was low-key at the time......clearly there was no push to get field corps into long-term mortgages. But if I remember correctly, many field corps did establish a credit line thru the Way Credit Union for car payments. Advanced Class grads took advantage of The Way Credit Union's lending policies as well. The years quickly passed.......wierwille died in 1985, geer read his poop paper in 1986, splintering erupted in 1987 and by the early 1990s the debt policy was being taught as doctrine and became fully implemented in 1994. I remember this vividly, because this was prior to all corps going full-time in August 1995.....and if corps were in debt with credit or loan payments, then they were not allowed to go full-time. Twi's "debt policy" gave the trustees/directors leverage and control over the corps who were coming of age and wanting to build equity and families. As always, it was the field corps.....those who DID the outreach.....who paid dearly. The corps staffers sat in their cozy chairs and paid down their mortgages all thru the 90s......maybe, into the 2000s. There has ALWAYS been a double-standard in the cult. ALWAYS. I have no idea if The Way Credit Union is still open for business.

Jean-Yves DeLisle..........This is my second and final open letter to you. Having known you since those days in Quebec City in 1984 and performed your and Michele's wedding in Toronto in 1988, I take an obligatory responsibility to warn you of your treachery and path of destruction. The Lord has showered you with His mercy; and yet, do you reciprocate this mercy and loving kindness to others? The Lord has taken your burdens of sin and guilt and washed them away by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ......and yet, do you help others to undo the heavy, sin-laden burdens that they themselves carry month after month, year after year? Are you unaware that to whom much is GIVEN, much is REQUIRED? The Way International has become a conduit and harlot; defiled by her licentious ways of whoredom. One president after another, each has multiplied these transgressions by forsaking the Lord and polluting the land with sanctimonious abominations that serve allegiance to man. The systematizing of error has been decades in the making.....of which, you Jean-Yves sat at headquarters for 28 years mentored by false teachers. Woe unto those of you who administer evil.....deceived and deceiving others. From what I heard and understood, the Revival and Restoration Q&A meeting last month by dozens of corps leadership was snuffed out. Even though they'd sent a private correspondence letter to the Board of Directors in August 2016 requesting that their grievances be heard [Acts 15]......it was NOT allowed. The Directors heavy-handedly slapped them down to "put them in their place" and marshalled a m/a campaign to destroy their efforts and reputations. This "mark/avoid" policy that twi utilizes is a skewing of the scriptures. Jean-Yves, that is evil.....and you should know that. It is darkness and domination over others. It runs at cross-purposes with everything that is upright and godly. Clearly, The Way International is a cult that serves man's allegiance. And, for those who sincerely believe that this organization is the Lord's remnant, then how great will be their fall when the truth dawns on them. Woe to those "pastors" who scatter the sheep of the Lord's pasture. The day is coming when the lord Jesus will say, "I never knew you." Now is the time to repent.....REPENT and turn from your evil ways. Break the teeth of the wierwille-allegiance.....and turn to the Lord and His righteousness. Do not follow one more step on this path that Rosalie Fox Rivenbark Shumate walked for 16 years of her presidency-tenure.....of which, were 16 years in vain. False prophets and teachers have ravaged the flock of God thru the years. The corps indoctrination program built and established limbs of adulterers. Wierwille, in his sin and drunkenness, failed to clean house.....for indeed, he himself was not clean. This wickedness and uncleanness has vexed The Way International for decades. Those who were clean and undefiled exited long ago. Therefore, Jean-Yves.........the task before you is a great undertaking. You cannot do it without the Lord. And, you cannot begin to do it.......until YOU humble yourself before the Lord and pray for His merciful hand to help and sustain you. Otherwise, you too will find all your work is in vain. The $68 MILLION is vanity of vanities.......as these assets/investment accrue without ministering to those in need. Have not you read about gathering into barns and yet, NOT taking care of the needs at hand? For a supposedly "non-profit ministry" this is an evil vanity and a distrust of that the Lord will meet your need. How long will you tarry into the wilderness of a conceited soul? You pride yourselves with this accumulation, yet pat yourselves on the back for being "spiritual?" That is cognitive dissonance staring back at you. So, Jean-Yves........which path will you choose? Forget about the numbers, sign-ups and programs for a second.......will you serve the Lord or man? And again, I leave you with the same verse as in my first open letter to you..........Open Letter to Jean-Yves DeLisle Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, .

Yes.......The Red Thread was Oral Robert's teaching on "The Fourth Man." What I find interesting is that after some 40 years.......the plagiarist wierwille is still hiding in the shadows by wierwille-apologists and sycophant cultists. This dynamic teaching was skewed by Mr. Tweak Man......wierwille, a fitting example to everything else he did. In this thread, The Game of Incrementalism.......(page 2) the fawning wierwille-admirer says ".......so what?" He didn't care that wierwille stole it, nor had he ever heard the original. So, how does one know if wierwille's plagiarized teaching is the best......if he had never heard the original? In a nutshell, it shows how one holds onto their cult leader and their perceived little corner of the world.
-
And,.........some "inadvertent cooperation" from his entourage......i.e. enablers. Bodyguards, valets, yes-men, swooning fawning admirers.........adding to the top marquee in town. Everyone, one and all.....come early, get your front row seats and expect to be excited......"Gawd's word is going to be delivered on a silver platter." This is the spiritual epicenter and no one gets missed. The hype and hoopla was at every class, every event. Promotion, promotion, promotion.........everyone was selling the soap. ALL of wierwille's long-standing enablers had their fiefdoms.......Harry was the successful business icon, Ermal was the quiet construction manager who listened to "pappy," George jess was the tree planter and sower of the seed, Howard was the "greatest layman in the church," Don was the educator, Emogene had her fiefdom in The Way's Bookstore, Wanda helped Mrs. W. with Guest Housing and Interior Decorating......and Mrs. W. was the epitome of "The Way's virtuous woman." Add the bus drivers/valets, security team personnel, corps coordinators, research team, roa administrators, musicians, architects, etc.......and The Entourage was a captivating package !! YET...........in all my years, I never saw any of the top-tier enablers step out and do any of the "Big Six" manifestations. Not one.
-
The cult cannot survive out in the open.......it seeks the shadows and the darkness. Open discussions on the field and open internet forums will NEVER happen. Rivenbark tried to take the upper-hand by extending a sappy "invite to hq." Wierwille perceived that seclusion on a farm setting would build his cult. It hasn't changed from its inception........and it ain't gonna change now. Old McWierwille had a farm......ee i ee i o And, on this farm he built a cult......and that's "the way" to go.

Is it okay to recommend wierwilles books to others?

Yep.....you got that right.

Twinky.......imo, you give CG too much credit. His decisions were blunders.....caught in a narcissistic maze of his own making. It doesn't matter how "stunningly gorgeous" the mansion or setting......it was blundering negligence. The FIRST RULE in business success is location, location, location. Geer violated the most basic rule......and everything to follow brought COMPLICATIONS because of it. Even Geer admitted as such.......[Geer's Passing of a Patriarch paper] "The final Way Corps location was not at all what we had anticipated. It is located in an area that is far removed from easily accessible transportation. It is also in a very difficult part of the British Isles to facilitate business needs, and perhaps worst of all, it is isolated from any large groups of believers. Our primary choice in England would have had good transportation, easy access to businesses that we had long dealt with and been close to a majority of the believers in Britain as well as being far more accessible to the majority of European believers." Same thing with Camp Gunnison, imo. Wierwille got caught up in the visuals and trying to replicate something like Glenn Clark's "Camps Farthest Out"......or something like it. Did we get to enjoy the beauty of the snow-crested mountaintops and ski the slopes? Did we sit under the nighttime stars at a campfire and relish the wonder of God's creation? Did we fish the Gunnison river and/or enjoy whitewater kayaking and rafting? Or, did we go hiking and elk hunting in the Fall? No, no, no and no. We sat in CULT CLASSROOMS and listened to "teachers" who blathered on the cult's message. Hell.......we could have done THAT in Mudhole, Mississippi (a fictional place so don't go looking for it AFAIK). Geer was not scheming. He was blundering........just like his spiritual pappy, wierdhole.

So, after over 400 replies in this thread......."Is it okay to recommend wierwille's books to others?" [ ] Yes [ ] No Please check the appropriate box. Easy, peasy. -
So, Now What.......? It's been like a month.......since the big Q&A "declaration of wanting-some-answers-from-headquarters"........ Did some of those "dissenters" go groveling back into the cult-fold? Or, were they ALL........presumably..........mark/avoid? If mark/avoid..........ain't that a "kick in the head?" lol The phone lines go dead........no more meetings to hustle to. No more reports. No more standing approved by the cult. DFAC............BOOM! Just that quick. Or........are they going to try rally the crew to sail The Black Pearl ......raising it from the sea floor? .
-
......or HQ: and only corps are present? Branch Coordinator: yes ......... (but doesn't state that the whole branch of 70 will be arriving shortly.....he thought they should hear the bullsheet that the corps is being fed week after week. Then they can decide for themselves if they want to STILL be involved with this cult.)

Mike.......you KEEP SAYING that posts "get lost"..... So...........I again, would like to see if you know the reasons WHY WIERWILLE FAILED in "receiving revelation" to lead the way international. -

skyrider replied to ImLikeSoConfused's topic in About The Way
Okay, Mike.........against my better judgment to indulge your wierwille-sycophancy...... The wierwille-shtick was devoid of "receiving revelation" ........the man was a fraud and huckster. In all my cult-years around wierwille, I NEVER ONCE saw the guy receive OR operate revelation......ie word of knowledge, word of wisdom or discerning of spirits. NOT ONE TIME. Wierwille claimed an 8th corps guy was possessed in the BRC.......wierwille stomped and stammered and did nothing! The night at corps week when it was pouring rain and the big top tent was dangerously pooling water above.....wierwille blamed the corps. Wierwille looked me straight in the eyes after my deprogramming experience and said that my parents would be DEAD IN FIVE YEARS for having put me thru that captivity and experience. My Dad lived 27 years longer, my Mom lived 34 years longer........than wierwille's fraudulent "prophecy." I could give plenty more examples, Mike.........but I don't care to. After 24 years around Vic, Howard, Don, Dotsie, Emogene, Wanda, and the cult-clan........I saw everything I needed to see. But go ahead and live off the delusions of this scam if you like..........where "the rubber meets the road" it just wasn't there. I don't care how many times you add "references" or "written research" from wierwille.......the scriptures POINTEDLY SAY that we shall know them by their fruit. And one more thing.......I spent time delving into all that backstory of wierwille's India trip and claims........a nothing burger. Wierwille plagiarized whole swaths of that "foreign missions pamphlet" from others before him. But I seriously doubt that any of this will have any sway over your wierwille-discipleship. Ash Heap of TWI-story Narcissistic Self-Promotion
