Not only are corps & others becoming numb to twi doctrine.....but COMMON SENSE RULES when so many factors can empower innies to refute doctrinal droning. 1. Martindale was ousted in 2000.....and he didn't go back inrez. :D--> 2. The current BOD are little more than peers, to many corps. 3. Low mortgage rates.....why NOT buy now??? 4. Not getting any younger.....if 50 years old, better buy NOW! 5. Some corps are distancing themselves from a twi-life-plan. Remember, some of these corps had THREE ROLLER COASTER YEARS when lcm gave his full-time "revelation." When this "revelation" changed, the corps were fired. Crazy times. The fallout continues......

"Dumb" is not the right word....it's too twisted for that. How about......bizarre? controlling? jaded? eccentric? bonehead? forehead-fanaticism? When "the forehead speaks".......fanaticism prevails! :D--> :D--> :D-->

My3cents.......yeah, I'd agree with that. From what I saw, martinfail was motivated ALOT by emotion..... and he coined it, spiritual anger. It infuriated the H out of him everytime March assignments rolled around....... he wanted TO MICROMANAGE THE CORPS PROGRAM and thus, the corps!! Lots of insane things were done in the face of "spiritual anger." Psychotic bahavior, actually.

A la......so true. I know of a few couples who gave a lump sum. But.....I tend to think that twi was (and is) more interested in the long term. When corps and committed followers are renting......they can spend more time witnessing, more time running classes, more adaptable to move and take other assignments. Homeowners are a different breed.....generally, they are more grounded, more time spent on home improvements, more time with hobbies or children & family, more involvement with community & schools, etc. With a whole set of different variables, homeowners rarily could pick up and move every 3 or 4 years. Twi can only exist and thrive in a controlled environment of thought-control. Thus, the mortgage-equals-debt is just another controlled measure to rein in followers' thoughts TO CONTROL THEIR ACTIONS. That's my story......and I'm sticking to it! :)-->

Let's COUNT the lawsuits......the ones that were filed when martindale, an authoritative-figure & "minister," sexually assaulted married women. 1. Bennett lawsuit.......married corps woman at 1998 hq advanced class 2. Allen lawsuit.........married corps woman on hq staff 3. Parker lawsuit........married corps woman on hq staff 4. Any others??? Hmmmmmmmmm........there seems to be a pattern here.

This morning, espn reported on a "cult of personality" --- detailing a girls basketball coach who, for many years, had sex with 14-17 year old girls. This Coach Lopez had the support of parents, familes..... and many refused to believe the "rumors." From the early 1990s, Lopez was an authoritive figure, a mentor, a "big brother" and much more to his circle of support and growing fame. As a coach, he traveled with the team.....spending nights in hotel rooms and such. And, even though parents asked direct questions to their girls......these victimized girls, for years, defended their coach and his conduct. Finally......it came out. Sound familiar???? Radar......wasn't this the "incident" from that 1998 advanced class at hq? From what I remember.....Mrs. Bennett and other inresidence corps were brought in from gunnison to be branch coordinators for the new students at this large hq class. Not all the corps were needed, and Mr. Bennett stayed back in gunnison with his kids and other corps to help there. It was a corps "brother" of Mrs. Bennetts'.....who went and confronted lcm that same night (after seeing her distraught and hearing about the sex with lcm). This was the guy who was sent packing and driven to the Dayton bus station.....this corps guy made lots of phone calls. Lots of way followers believed him and exited twi!! Maybe someone will show up on this forum with........a first-hand account of it?

Danny.....I too remember this! Veepee was at a major crossroads: he saw problems, he saw disgruntled corps coordinators, he saw the pitiful excuses.........yet, veepee remained silent. He turned his focus elsewhere.....and spent more time riding his harley.

It's pouring rain at corps week.....and one night, while the corps are sitting in the main tent, a section of the tent roof is sinking lower...and lower...and lower. Geeze Louise!......they can't stop teaching on the main stage and TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. Nope! Nuttin's gonna stop em from holdin forth da verd. Finally.....when someone saw the urgency of the situation moved a whole section of people on the right side......and Stxve Unrxxn or somebody on top of that tent, cuts a large gash for the water to drain out. Later......lcm delivers scathing remarks that the pitiful corps can't STOP THE RAIN with their believing.

igotout......yeah, money is the bottom line. Twi found it very difficult to conduct those yearly corps assignment meetings with hundreds of variables to consider......especially when the corps were homeowners. Just didn't work. They couldn't control them.....this infuriated lcm & co. I sat in enough corps meetings to hear lcm's scathing remarks on corps thinking "worldly." Again, black-or-white concepts..........that's how CONTROL WORKS!!! The domino effect takes over.....and soon, non-corps leaders are subject to the same-damn-standards. "Debt" policy is established.....and rosie can take a dip in HER swimming pool, in HER backyard, of HER home that is accruing HER investment and HER financial future. And, many wonder why those aging corps "ABRUPTLY QUIT" their corps commitment????? :D--> :D--> :D-->

dmiller......validated information is empowering, indeed!! For me, even in the 80s......good people disappeared overnight. Reasons given ranged from minor differences to "possession." At times, it seemed like those closest to the trustees were the ones who were dropped from corps without warning and gotten "possessed by some daimon spirit." Hearing personal accounts on the internet.......is like firing a warning shot over the bow of twi's battered ship. They have NOW been fairly warned!! More "shots" just might sink em! :D--> :D-->

As I understand it, twi has a policy wherein their leadership -- way corps and/or fellowship coordinators -- CANNOT have a mortgage. According to twi's doctrine, a mortgage is synonymous with debt! If found out.....these "leadership" are relieved of these commitments and responsibilities. Yet, I know of two situations whereby twi's "leadership" has circumvented twi's policies. One situation involves way corps in the SE region....another situation involves an advanced class couple in the Midwest region. Here's how it works!! In the attempt to circumvent twi's micromanaged policy on debt, these two couples have solicited their parents to acquire the mortgage and payments are made directly to their parents. The parents, in turn, pay the monthly mortgage. Of course, the verbal arrangement on the side holds the understanding that, in all actuality, this property and investment is accruing towards the couple and their future! In this bizarre arrangement to help their children, these parents take part in this deception! Do they, corps folks, have mortgage payments? Technically, no.....their parents "bought" the home. Do they rent the property? Well, yes......sort of. Ever heard the saying?........Back door guests are always best! :)--> And, to help the couple.......back door mortgage payments are welcomed! :D--> You see, twi.....the more you try to legalize twi followers, the MORE they see its insanity. Even after all these years of "sanctifying the household" and "crossing the bridge"........COMMON SENSE still prevails!!! :D--> :D--> :D--> skyrider

ex10, Yeah, personal stories are our "soapbox" and the internet is our "microphone." Finally, we get to stand up and voice our insights, our feelings, our point of view. It's amazing to be reconnected with friends and acquaintences. After years of constant moving, and room setup, and ushering at events......we can sit and ENJOY the commaraderie and all. Hearing others' stories is riveting. I really enjoy it. Thanks.

Allxn gets waydale up and running. Apr 2000.............Announcement/public statement regarding lcm & "one-time affair." Apr 2000.............Allxn lawsuit against lcm/twi. Jun/Jul 2000.........Lxchts in Michigan left twi. Jun/Jul 2000.........Mxsquedxs exit twi and write "exit info document" for waydale. Jun/Jul 2000.........Lxllys in Texas leave in middle of night avoiding confrontation. Sept 2000............Martindale is ousted by twi lawyers Sometime later.......Lawsuit is settled out of court -- some speculate on twi's demands. Hope this helps the "rough" timeline. If it needs further changing, I'll edit it. :)--> Now....back to the topic. Personal stories, like HCW's on the LEAD accident, can finally be voiced.....via the internet. It has answered several questions for me. Bits and pieces of what I'd heard thru the years have been fitted together. I'm thankful and intrigued by this information.
