In reference to "the real Moses stuttered and had no public leadership abilitys"..............does anyone remember hearing a teaching that clarified this? As best I recall, John Shoexheit (or someone) taught that Moses had been in exile. Many years later, after the king of Egypt died [Exodus 2:23]...and God heard their groaning, God remembered his covenant with Abraham. Thus, when Moses rose up to be God's spokesman.....Moses was referring to his loss of the language skills having been in exile for many (??) years. In other words, Moses was NOT a stutterer.....he had simply been away in exile in Midian and didn't feel equipped to be God's spokesman. Anyone hear this teaching? Anyone who has studied this indepth? Thanks.

Reminds me of an incident.......we were out WOW and going door-to-door witnessing (not my favorite thing to do, so I just changed my focus to helping people....not pushing anything). Anyways, me and this quiet guy were invited in by an older couple. Nice folks. The wife had a developing catarac (sp) in her left eye and her vision blurry. She started crying when we talked about God's healing.....and softly, I told her that I'd pray with her if she wanted me to. She was very receptive to prayer and clasped my hands during my prayer. Well, when she opened her eyes after the prayer.....no more blurred vision. She cried and her husband started crying and then, I cried tears of joy. It was one of those moments that you never forget. Another five minutes passed as we talked about God's goodness, and then we made our way to the door. No, I never asked them to sign a green card.......it never crossed my mind. It was one of my treasured moments on the WOW field :)-->

Yeah....invoking the name of "eternity" to justify actions and abuse. Yeah....invoking godly service by "blessing the mog" with sexual favors. Yeah....invoking the "reaping of rewards" to promote faithfulness to twi and pfal. Yeah....invoking "rightly-dividing the word" and yet, sinning like a trooper. Reality checks of hard facts to the contrary help break the self-hypnotic state of waybrain. Facts can be analyzed and expectations drawn to arrive at good, sound judgements.

What make me so right? The scriptures.....that's what? Adultery is sin. Oppression is wrong. Lording over God's heritage is wrong. Exploiting money from the needy is detestable. And the list goes on and on and on. What you label as "focus on the past sins of others"..........the majority of what many here at GS post is to INTRODUCE LIGHT.

Maybe, we'd better define our terms before continuing? In Webster's college dictionary.......reality check is an instance of confronting or acknowledging the facts about something and thus dispelling unrealistic notions or expectations. Oldies.....are you changing from FACTS ABOUT SOMETHING to spiritual truths or concerns? Does "a greater reality" consist of spiritual integrity? What are you saying? In the early 80s, the Way Credit Union was open for business and helped many hq staffers with mortgage loans and such. Several of these staffers still reside in their New Knoxville, New Bremen, St. Marys, Wapakoneta & Minster homes. Of course, they work at wayworld and their kids are sheltered in rural Ohio.....and probably, have a decent living. All it takes is compartmentalizing one's thoughts.......and by ignoring the hypocrisy of lcm-doctrine, adultery, lawsuits, slander, blackmail and all, these staffers can just do their work and go home. On the field......there is a totally different set of realities!!! This is why so many corps and others exit twi when these reality checks OUTWEIGH denial. There is no escaping the realities of everyday life when one is driving a broken car, working in a place that is masquerading as a career, rushing home to get ready for a home fellowship, eating cereal to save time, and putting on a smile for the evening...of which, only three people come. Abundant life? C'mon, get real. --> And, with each passing year......the window of opportunity closes a little bit more. And that's why some of those staffers at hq stay deeply entrenched in their own little job. It's a pathetic existence.....but hey, there are parasites everywhere living off their hosts. :D--> :D-->

Yeah......I would think that even long-standing innies are aware of TWI CENSORSHIP. Of course, they are in denial......else, they'd be ex-followers like us. :)--> Even if twi's youth post on JB's website for awhile.......it shouldn't take them all that long to realize that TWI LEADERSHIP IS MONITORING THIS SITE AND THEIR COMMUNICATION. And really....... these teenagers are alot smarter than that and posting will stifle. Wouldn't they just rather be online with their friends...... rather than post on an adult-monitored website??? Old news?????? Yeah, right. --> Martindale was ousted in September of 2000......and lawsuits (plural) FOLLOWED!!! Rosie stated in a deposition (2000/2001 ??) that she knew about martindale having sex with other women as early as 1995!!! I personally know two families who LEFT TWI last fall after 20+ years of involvement!!! Need I say more??? :P-->

Nearly a decade ago, I started my silent rebellion with twi. Much of it had to do with twi's doctrine on "present truth" and lcm obnoxiously lording over the corps......BUT also those reality checks in life. The passing of time is one undisputable reality check! For any THINKING individual, its an attention-getter! Just looking in the mirror and asking, "What the heck am I doing to better my life?" is enough to jolt the braincells. Raising children and properly preparing them for life's challenges is another reality check! It's a huge responsibility! What if the branch coordinator scolds your child -- how do you feel as a parent? How does that impact your child's self-esteem and attitude? No loving parent wants "the village-ministry" to mold their children into destructive groupthink! Education and college are other avenues of reality checks. Seeking more education to better oneself is challenging enough without some corp-nazi reproving you for missing a meeting. And, what about college preparation for your kids? Of course, lcm's advice to the corps was "let the grandparents pay for it." Yeah, he actually told us this!!! Homeownership.....especially when those interest rates dropped to a 40-year low. How could one NOT think about the opportunity to buy and invest in homeownership? For some, it was the final eye-opener that got them to exit their corps commitment!! Besides, the wishy-washy debt doctrine from twi is bogus. :)--> Family and relatives ....certainly for some (especially corps) who have neglected family get-togethers and involvement for decades, it does bring into play that everyone is growing older. For sure, a reality check for some......and others, maybe not much. Health care issues bring reality to one's front door step real quick. Nothing like coming face-to-face with a major health concern. Everything comes to a halt if its really something serious. Semi-retirement and/or retirement is on the horizon. Sure you can ignore it's approach, but who desires to rush towards 60 years of age with reckless abandonment??? Not me. :D--> Twi and hq staff are well aware of such reality checks!! That's why twi loves single people to work there!! Especially single people who knowingly will inherit their mother's house and savings!! Now would be a GOOD TIME for some to pull their head out of the sand and take a look around. Check out some of these reality issues. Who knows where it will lead you??? :D--> :D-->

I don't discount what you just said for one second......BUT there certainly wasn't the control structure that existed from the trunk office on down. And, from the many branches where I was assigned.....the control and double checking of military men's finances and mortgages was virtually nonexistent. That was the reason why Paxl Norcrxss was assigned to oversee the military work. It was like a separate department within the Trunk Office framework......very different variables.

And, at times.....when I know that I don't have the answers I find it liberating to shelve those questions for future reference. As long as I decide......my life stays right on track!!!

Military bases would seem like an ideal location for outreach........BUT to the contrary, they are quite the opposite. Twi could NOT gain access and control over the military personnel like they could with civilians. Language barriers, not easily intimidated, restricted areas, specific duties and schedules.......ALL OF THESE hindered twi's outreach and they knew it!! Twi and other cult-like groups NEED to: 1) CONTROL the in-house lanuage, 2) CONTROL and isolate individual thought, 3) CONTROL and overpower individual schedules and activities, 4) CONTROL and intimidate individual towards re-educating him, 5) CONTROL and manipulate individual to reform him, etc........ Military men like Steve Axtxll and Pxul Nxrcross were really good men. To me, these men were strong mediators between the trunk office and the military personnel. The trunk office did not encroach upon the lives of the military. The U.S. military had far greater duties to perform!!

Yeah, UncleHairy.......no matter what one calls it, the indoctrination into waybrain was calculated! Finally, by 1995......I started my silent rebellion with twi. With determination, I started questioning lcm's corps teachings and his motives! I questioned the arrogance, the intimidation, the sarcasm, and the hypocrisy of the board of trustees and region coordinators. I began to reclaim my individuality and stood against further indoctrination. By initiating more correspondence with family and old friends, the "scales of waybrain" were falling from my eyes. Questioning twi......helped me to regain MY thought-life. Then, as I continued to be empowered with confidence and individuality.....MY actions were out-of-step with twi's induced-indoctrination. Some of these actions were baby steps, but they were MY baby steps! And, with my actions came MY identity and character....and the day I exited twi, I slammed the door shut on twi's indoctrination process and PROUDLY WALKED AWAY!!! Questions are a powerful motivator! Questions can UNLOCK the doors to escape further indoctrination. DECIDE to question......and expect answers to your satisfaction. Who knows where these questions will lead??? For me.......questions led me back to a liberating life!!! :D--> :D-->

Galen....from your posts, you moved around alot with the military. From my experiences, I can tell you that the military personnel in twi were in a whole different situation. Generally, they were given lots of leeway.....if they had duty or commitments on base, who was going to discount that?? Not some little corps guy. Again, from my experiences....I saw the military guys come and go, at will. They did not have the same "oversight" :D--> from corps looking over their shoulder. Therefore, for you and others to have mortgages without confrontation doesn't surprise me in the very least. Thank God for our military! Even twi didn't mess around with them! :D-->

UncleHairy,......exactly!! And, when I look at it from THAT point of view..... The renewed and indoctrinated mind is the KEY to twi's money and assumed power.
