Another MAJOR reason.... When a Region guy is brought in to a hq staff position for say, two or three years........THEN the loyalty of people from that region is distanced. Therefore, if and when that region couple LEAVES.....they have far less OPPORTUNITY to take the whole region with them!!! It severes the loyalty and relationships. And, the spin of why they left begins!!

Yeah, there IS a distinct pattern! Region Coord --> HQ Staff (top position) ---> Busted back to field (branch ?) OR exit twi !!! This pattern has happened over and over and over again. I tend to think that after one reaches the region coordinator status, there really is NO PLACE "HIGHER" to go...... cause the BOD isn't going to move over and give up their job.....no way! Seems that Region couples don't adjust too well if they go on staff at hq.......either the close-knit circles keep them hedged out OR the confining environment at hq is just too much to stomach. Rarily, does the region guy adjust to grunt work and seeing where he fits in the structure of things. That's my opinion, of course. :D--> Besides, the region guys seem to be stuck in "field mode" for years and years...... and the endless cycle of recruiting others, scream sessions, cover-your-butt antics, etc. must get really, really old. Notice.....staffers like the Coultxrs, Fredxricks, Maxsxnx, etc....have a "corporate position" and are not subjected to sales, recruitment, classes, quotas, etc. like Region guys are. It seems that these people will NEVER LEAVE THEIR JOBS AT HQ. And yes, Belle......Mxsquedas were pretty much the same Region Coord pattern except that they were Gunnison Corps coordinators prior to splitting out!!!

Belle, Add to that list.....the Pxnarellxs. They were Region coordinators in Ohio ---> HQ Staff Trunk Office ---> left staff and exited twi. Add.....the Lxllys. They were Northwest Region coordinators ---> HQ Staff Trunk Offices (taking over Fort's dismissal) ---> Region coordinators in Texas ---> requested a Branch position in Texas ---> LEFT TWI IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. HOW MANY RED FLAGS DOES IT TAKE???

Belle......yeah, the EXPENSE OF RAISING KIDS is a major factor that plays into decision making, placements and those on the payroll. All kinds of examples of region coordinators and leaders come to mind: 1) Brxd Thxrpx and wife....with several (4 ??) kids......Northeastern Region coordinators (early 1990s) ---> HQ Staffers (1994-1999 ??) ---> Dayton Branch coord. ---> bought home and have left twi (or so I've heard) 2) Dexn Sxxler and wife....with one child.......Region coord. in Colorado (early 1990s) ---> HQ Staff where Dean was on president's cabinet (1997-2000 ??) ----> left staff and exited twi !! 3) Michexl Fxrt and wife....with several (3 ??) kids....Emporia Corps coordinators (late 80s--early 90s) ---> HQ Staff Trunk Office (1993-1996 ??) ---> slandered on corps mtg and demoted to Limb coord in Indiana ---> No longer on twi's payroll THERE ARE PLENTY MORE EXAMPLES......but the pattern is.....to bring corps leaders into hq.....and then whittle away their responsibilities or demote them......either they get frustrated by the hypocrisy or jumping hoops or whatever.......THEN SPIN THE STORY and say that they "lost their salt" or became "worldly"....as they're shoved to the side. It happens over and over and over again. Even John Reynolds was busted back from Trustee to working in the purchasing department. Many speculate that Rosie and John couldn't work together....whatever that entails.........hahahaha There is NO job security in twi. NONE.

CC.....the "official" position (public release statement) states that they no longer mark & avoid...... BUT in reality, it is alive and well. Besides, whenever the BOD slanders and labels corps and others as "pozzezzed"..... a 20-year "friendship" is severed instantly!!! From what I now know, MANY since 1990 have been unjustifiably labeled.....to buffer lcm's sex exploits. And, in reference to "their terribly damaged public image"........well, if you're talking about internet exposure and their perceived in-house image, then YES they know it's taken huge hits. Besides, MONEY and CONTROL are at stake. I just heard a few days ago of more innies EXITING TWI. It's really challenging to proclaim superior status when the numbers keep shrinking!!!! :D--> :D-->

Out There, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "currently".......but yes, MANY have exited twi in the past 6 years or so. With more prevailing LEGALISM in twi, the numbers of those exiting have escalated accordingly. Just briefly........8-10 Region couples have exited in the past eight years or thereabouts. Two of these couples, the Panarxllxs and the Lxllys were in the Trunk Offices. Of course, the 1998 Advanced Class in Indiana was a turning point for MANY. A poster and former corps guy named Bennett gave the details of martindale's sexual assault on a married corps woman in the Indiana campus auditorium balcony............anyways, it led to a sizeable exodus! More lawsuits......more exiting. This stuff is still fairly current. And even though martindale was ousted in September of 2000 by twi's lawyers.....the mess continues. Hope this info answers your questions. :)-->

Every year, twi conducts Staff & Corps Placement Meetings in March. Along with the board of directors and emeritus....the president's cabinet members, region coordinator couples, and a few designated staffers attend this meetings. Of course, rosie will give her generic overview of ministry status and direction......BUT a bulk of the meetings are allocated to discussing field corps leaders, assignments and any problems that may be arising. Through the years, what I've learned about these meetings is that it's a time of pampering the region guys mostly and some political manuevering. At these meetings, the region guys get their MARCHING ORDERS. At these meetings, the region guys jockey for position and job security. Lots of back-patting goes on......BUT it's also a time for the BOD and twi-lifers to eyeball the region couples. If there is any chink in their armour, then this will be noted for future reference. After all, the region guys are the top sales directors in their specific regions. As the corps numbers diminish........the power and control of region coordinators DIMINISH. As corps grow older and forfeit their nametagged-responsibilities.......region men scramble to recruit others to go inresidence. And then, that region is "awarded" other corps or compensation for recruiting new blood for the corps commitment. Years ago......from what I saw, the regions that "carried the big clubs" were heralded out of Florida, Ohio, Texas, New York, Michigan, and California. Today, it might be very different ........ I know that lots of corps have exited in the past 8 years. And, when corps exit twi....... THE REGION GUY HAS TO DO DAMAGE CONTROL AND HE DOES NOT LIKE THAT! Besides, less corps in a region means LESS CLOUT at these annual meetings!!! There is a pecking order even at these meetings. Moneyhands doesn't just stay in Florida because he likes the wonderful sunshine!! :D--> :D--> As these meeting close out......one of the region guys is selected to teach at the Sunday service as the emcee gives his report. And, another "State of the Ministry Address" is pawned off as a prevailing success. :D--> :D--> :D-->

And, every businessman knows........there's nothing like REPEAT business! In his fifties, vpw knew this little business tip from his brother. It's little wonder that vpw NEVER said....It's the Scriptures, the Scriptures and nothing but the Scriptures. ;)--> Might lead to independent study? Belle......yeah, scriptures quickly followed by wierwillian agendas, eh? Years ago......I read a nice article about Outstanding Leaders and Men (something like that). Anyways, one of the major points throughout this article was that quality and impact of this man's work should stand the test of time.....years after his death!!!! In other words, the influence and impact of this man's life would have monumental and positive influence in following generations. From what I've seen and heard.......scores of people were leaving wierwille and his agendas by the early 70's. The devastation and destruction in his wake is appalling.......and much of this before his death in 1985. Great leader? Wierwille's "ministry" a pathetic legacy.

Today, pure and simple.......twi is a BUSINESS. Year after year, the tweaking has helped to bridge the gap....from "study the scriptures" to their intended business-agenda of "stand with the ministry." Some growth, more staff and the cycle of bureacratic governing sets in. I mean, c'mon.......with a staff of 300+ (or whatever) in Ohio, even the operation of such machinery would dictate a corporate structure. Looking back......I seriously doubt that twigs were ever intended to be "self-governing" and all that! Nice labels and all......but it was NOT meant to be. Hidden agendas were behind the programs.....tweaking is behind the evolution of conformity. Religious pontificating becomes the order of the day. Tweak the weak. :P-->

Hope......yeah, it really got nazi-crazy!!! On several occasions, I witnessed full-scale intimidation and scathing attacks by wierwille. But generally, these were all CLOSED SOCIETY SLANDERINGS........in other words, in corps meetings or behind closed doors. Wierwille used great discretion in public. Martindale never grasped this type of discretion. He used his doctrine of "spiritual anger" as a springboard to launch heightened verbal abuse. Martindale could NOT control his tongue.....and was blind-sided by his own ego. And, his yes-men.....the region guys were an extension of his policies and mode of operation. The evolution of wickedness was rolling.

As mentioned on another thread.... In pfal..........."The greatest secret in the world today is the Bible is the revealed Word and will of God." In todays twi.....The current followers of twi have access to websites and subscriptions that sustain their prominance in the land of the prevailing word. Wow, a tweak a week .........leads to years of fears!!!

For me, it's always been about THE SCRIPTURES. Maybe it was my upbringing.....but for the longest time, I did not even write in my Bible, because of my respect for these divine words. Even after pfal......it wasn't ABOUT pfal. It was about THE SCRIPTURES. Of course, the pfal class keynoted certain truths like "no prophesy of the scriptures is of any private interpretation"........ so to me, it only ELEVATED THE SCRIPTURES. It didn't elevate wierwille who was only a messenger. And, even though twi brushed over the gospels......I loved reading those accounts where Jesus Christ confronted religious leaders....Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. Yeah, even Jesus OPENED the scrolls and READ divine writings. He wasn't tweaking things as he stood before the multitudes. Or that verse in Acts where Apollos was an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures. Could it be written any clearer??? Even to this day, it sounds like twi is fixated on "prevailing word" terminology. In some ways, I guess it is quite understandable.......its rooted in martindale's book [Acts 19:20], the 7th great statement, and if challenged, twi can always say that they hold "inner truth and spiritual insight" that others simply do not see. Yes, the "prevailing word" is tweaked to perfection. :D--> :D--> :D--> :D--> :D-->

Language and imagery are powerful tools in advertising and marketing a product....and twi has utilized them as well. Twi continues to tweak phrases and buzz words to sell their wares. Just to name a few: 1967......"The Bible is the revealed Word and will of God." 1970s....."It's the Word, the Word, and nothing but the Word." 1970s....."The Word is the ministry and the ministry is the Word." 1980s....."The Word is the javelin of the Spirit." 1980s....."Stand with the ministry that taught you the Word." 1990s....."PFAL is an old wine-skin. WayAP is the present truth." 1990s....."The Word is over the world....its available in every community." 1990s....."We have crossed over the bridge into the land of the Prevailing Word." :D--> :D--> :D-->............................................ --> --> --> With slight of hand, twi uses tweaking speaking to alter the imagery of the Word. At one time, it simply meant to "read and study scripture." Later it was tweaked to mean rightly-divided pfal doctrine equals "the Word." By the mid-1990s, lcm taught the corps that NO ONE except the highly-skilled leaders in twi could rightly-divide the word of truth. Even the younger corps were not equipped to this task. According to twi, it (the Word) CANNOT be found anywhere else. And again, according to twi, it (the Word) CANNOT be retained if one ever leaves the organization. Thus tweaked, once one takes twi's foundational class....it's womb to the tomb indoctrination. They instruct the new students in the new birth (womb) and expect allegiance to twi for a lifetime (tomb). Yeah, right??????? From where I sit, this tweaking is ridiculous rambling.......but I suppose, to those who've invested their lives and careers into this organization, the bobble-head nodding of agreement is understandable. At the very least, it "freshens" the phraseology to decades of doldrums. Though, at worst.....its sad that some fall prey to imagery over reality. skyrider

The early days of twi1.....and the days BEFORE major-way-tree-structure..... were filled with unconditional love, caring, listening, helping, healing, etc. Giving and sharing and caring was an EVERYDAY occurrence. To me.....ONE OF THE GREATEST DOWNFALLS OF TWI was vpw's corps training and agendas!!! With each passing year, the structure, and control, and language, and bondage was stifling the good-hearted and free-will giving of God's elect. IMO the corps program was the beginning of the end of God's blessing with twi. Legalism has prevailed! Had I known this agenda, I never would have gone corps. Uuuuuugh.

Belle....if craig taught it, the "research" most likely came from another source. Generally, others would pass their study topics up the chain of command that eventually reached him. In many ways, it seemed to fit with the context. After all, Moses was in Midian in exile.....and the scriptures don't detail the years that passed before the Egyptian king died.
