  1. Here's a little memory and true story that few have ever heard....... It was another Sunday Service Teaching in 1982/83 (May or June) where Don Wierwille was the teacher and Walter Cummins was the emcee. This predated the Auditorium -- so the Sunday services, at this time, were held in the OSC dining room (tables removed -- and transitioned into row seating). About 40 minutes into the service, the fire alarm went off! Well, everyone was evacuated out the south doors while the Safety guys ran to the OSC grid to see what quadrant of the building the fire was located. I was the Warehousing Department Coordinator at the time. Since half of the building was warehousing.....I was highly interested in finding the source of this fire. The blinking light registered it in the west end quadrant of the warehouse.....so we made a mad dash that way. In a matter of two minutes or less, we spotted a small fire ablaze on a pallet in the upper shelf. Two guys climbed up the racks and put the small fire out. Several of the Safety guys were already on their radios. Apparently, one Safety guy at the east end of the warehouse had seen two boys running out the east overhead door. His suspicions were correct. The cover-up was immediate. Some of us found it quite amusing and ironic in light of the two men at the teaching podium that night. The two young boys who started the fire......Ralphie Wierwille and Bobby Cummins.
  2. When I got involved in the mid-70s.........the pitch was "This PFAL Class has the keys to understanding the Bible, God's Word. Dr. Wierwille has put this class together from decades of researching the Scriptures to help anybody and everyone who wants to receive holy spirit into manifestation and see the power of God in their lives." Like so many things.......the messaging was evolving. But back then, in my state........there was major emphasis on receiving holy spirit into manifestation so that I could have the power of God when I needed it most. Very little emphasis was put on wierwille's "1942 promise"..........but on the fact that wierwille had researched the Word of God and put it together like no one else. Obviously, in my youth and busy college life.......I never took the time to research wierwille's background and discover the blatant plagiarism nor did I take the time to uncover many, major spiritual truths and works of study by Kenyon, Jones, Bullinger, others, etc. It seems to me.......1) Adulation for Dr. Wierwille was a subtle portion of the end result of the pfal class. Then, when I went to the rock of ages............people would swoon when Dr. Wierwille was near. The mystique of wierwille had engulfed twi. And, for many............it's still there! By 1981-1984........bodyguards were positioned along the roa main stage when wierwille was present. Bodyguards? With ear pieces and covert communication amongst a team of security? Why? Oh, that's right.......the devil spirits were always trying to get to "the man of God." Evolution of Unbridled Adulation.......wierwille was treated like a pharaoh or something. An entourage of servants were at his beck and call. Wierwille basked in the wayworld that he created. He smoked at the head dining room table whenever he wanted. He sipped his Drambuie at night owls or other late night corps meetings. One of those evening sessions, at the Emporia Campus.......wierwille abruptly stated that he wanted all the corps to come back in 20 minutes in their pajamas and bathrobes. And, we did!!!!! Of course, it was seen as "Wow, he just wants to have a casual, fireside get-together with his corps. How cool is that?" To this day......there are people who idolize their memories of wierwille. When GSC discusses serial plagiarism or wierwille's sexual predation......there is vehement pushback from many defenders. Even lots and lots of corps refute these things discussed here at GSC that tarnish their memories of vpw. They never saw or heard this stuff during their corps experience. Martindale? Yes, but not wierwille. Wierwille was a smooth operator. He was the father figure to a displaced youth. Blind trust. He established an inner circle that were fiercely loyal and secret. And, if you couldn't be 1) loyal and 2) secret.......you couldn't be AROUND wierwille.
  3. Just look at the numbers in each corps......(not exact numbers) Not including the Family Corps......... 1st corps....................9 2nd corps..................25 3rd corps...................35 4th corps...................55 5th corps...................75 6th corps...................310 7th corps...................325 8th corps...................285 9th corps...................320 10th corps.................320 11th corps.................330 When the 6th corps graduated in 1978, wierwille was 60 years old. Twi needed the Emporia Campus......because the 6th corps applications exploded from the 5th corps. With these numbers swelling the ranks, twi scrambled to stay ahead of the numbers, the building/renovation projects and the corps curriculum. Wierwille rarely met with individuals one-on-one......especially men. Unless they were top-loyal suck-ups. Wierwille publically admitted it. He didn't have time to meet with individuals or small groups. Therefore, nearly every meeting wierwille did on campus was with the whole group. He was NOT meeting with small groups of men and encouraging them to "loosen up sexually." Back at hq......I did hear that wierwille would meet with a small group of men in the "motorcycle shed" for hang-out time, or beers. Whatever. That shed where wierwille hung that poster from a CFS class that had two fleas fornicating and the caption read........FLEA FORNICATION.
  4. You're right, Rocky......I should have added a clarifying point in my post. His personal story is his alone. No disagreement there.
  5. Okay......you're right. I object to the percentages. Let's say from corps 1 thru corps 11 (who graduated in 1983)..........adds up to nearly 2,000. Add family corps 1 thru 7..................maybe, 700. That's 2,700 corps grads. So, of those 2,700 corps..........what is MOST? 70%? 75%? 80%? If we use 75% to mean MOST........that means OVER 2,000 corps. And, if just men were taught to "loosen up".......is Lifted Up inferring that 1,000 corps men were taught this? The implication of this on a percentage scale of MOST..........is ridiculous.
  6. Lifted Up............I strongly disagree that wierwille taught this "loosening up" practice openly to Way leaders (corps). I was in the 9th corps.......worked on staff (1981-1984) and ordained in 1984. Not once........ did wierwille teach a "loosening up" to corps men or the clergy. Zilch. Nada. You make it sound like wierwille taught this sexual practice OPENLY to the corps.....men and women. I disagree. Wierwille did not promote this sexual idea OPENLY......otherwise, this "doctrine" would have spread like wildfire and corps-romping between the sheets nightly on campus. If that were the case.......there'd have been corps women packing their suitcases and leaving in droves. C'mon man. Let's be real. Certainly......wierwille taught martindale this "loosening up" practice. Martindale admitted wierwille taught him this practice. Other men in wierwille's inner circle would have known, right?........Don, Howard, Johnnie, Geer, JAL, and some Region guys? Also, there were some willing, seductive females [early corps women who sided up to wierwille and its perks of favoritism] that knew about this practice.......and "groomed" other women who were thereby summoned to wierwille's motor coach. Or, martindale's motor coach. Or, Cabin 12 at Camp Gunnison. The Secret Agenda Society........read this link. This stuff was SECRET........the "lockbox" stuff. What did this lockbox contain? Wierwille never fully explained it.....but referred to things/information between two individuals that were not to be revealed. Confidential stuff. Or, counseling secrets of past sins that were revealed (like a confessional or something??). How many of us youth had things in our past that we wanted to forget or unload.....and move forward? Years before twi. Drugs, sex, crime. In my youth and naivete......I thought this "lockbox stuff" was not immoral or sexual situations presently happening with top Way leaders and females in wierwille's stable. This practice was secretive.......only known to "those who could spiritually handle it." Remember? Sure, it was known that some WOWs were having sex and a pregnancy got them thrown off the WOW field. Or, an abortion for some. In 1981 and 1982......WOW Training had men like Finnegan take the stage and tell the young men to "keep it in their pants." No obscurity there!! Looking back......I remember hearing about Martindale's body man shirking his wife for another corps staffer at hq. They left twi shortly after and never saw them again. That kind of thing happened several times. Yes.....I would admit that wierwille's Christian Family and Sex class (1975) was filled with some innuendos, slang and lack of strong boundaries. Nor did wierwille teach on the sin of adultery. He certainly taught aspects of sexual union in the bond of marriage, but left young unmarried adults with the impression that the Scriptures did not give solid boundaries or answers on premarital sex. So, Lifted Up.........unless you can give me more specifics, I refute your implications that this was taught openly in corps training.
  7. Head of Security intervenes: "Not so fast. Get back to us when you can shoot the wings off the flies." Movie: WANTED ( 2:05 mark)
  8. Yeah, and city kids learned a lot of things that some of us country kids didn't have a clue on. I just found that comment "killing flies with bare hands" a funny memory of long ago.
  9. Having grown up on a farm.........I think I was about 8 years old when I learned that trick. In fact, most everything in my corps training that taught "practical management".........I learned on the farm.
  10. "Ten (10) years had elapsed (1986-1996).......from the major exodus of many corps till then." ~~~~~~~~~~ Now, imagine ANOTHER 20 YEARS.......moynihans, forts, horneys, etc. slogged thru the rivenbark era before finally leaving.
  11. socks.......another thing to consider in all this was martindale's fixation on "The Eight Great Statements in the Book of Acts." He wrote a book on it.......illustrating how this word of God increased and the number of the disciples multiplied [Acts 6:7]. Step by step progression. Eight statements of progressive levels of growth. Martindale had every limb coordinator teach this material to their respective states in 1994. Building blocks. Progressively stepping forward......away from the past. Acts 19:20 says "So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed." See, right there......"prevailed." The slogans and themes......and the bumper stickers. Ten (10) years had elapsed (1986-1996).......from the major exodus of many corps till then. Martindale was on the cusp of setting a "higher standard" with his soon-to-be-released class series: The Way of Abundance and Power. This did not happen overnight. Nor did it happen in a vacuum. It was progressive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I can certainly relate to what you said about taking that journey.....where it started, where it went. That is why I wrote about "my journey from 1989-1998 to illustrate its progression ............. Insanity on Steroids We Thought We Were Free *From the book "They Thought They Were Free (the Germans 1933-45)" by Milton Mayer. "Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained, or on occasion, 'regretted,' that unless one were detached from the whole process from the beginning, unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle, what all these 'little measures' that no 'patriotic German' could resent must some day lead to, one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field see the corn growing. One day it is over his head."
  12. Okay, okay........I'll give it a shot, but it might be more than 25 words. As I remember it..........October 1995, martindale made the statement that "the word was over the world" on a corps night and then, had John Reynolds come forward. At that time, Reynolds was newly-installed on the Board of Trustees as Secretary-Treasurer. Don Wierwille's health was failing and Rosalie was stepping into the Vice President slot. And, Howard was replaced by Reynolds. Anywho........since Reynolds had been in the International Outreach Department for years (before a short stint as Region guy in Arkansas), martindale assigned him to come forward and give the "explanation." Reynolds spent about 20 minutes adding all the necessary ministry jargon and Dr. Wierwille's vision of "word over the world." Citing some statistics, cities, countries, continents and filler-crapola........he rambled on. Did it make sense? No. But then, who ever in wierwille's ministry ever tried to explain this mission anyways? Anywho.......after Reynolds finished, martindale stepped forward and commenced with the "new mission" of the prevailing word. Another hour and a half, the corps meeting was over. New slogans. New terminology. The lexicon of buzzwords that constantly changed in twi was refreshed......after ANOTHER corps night. Most likely.......martindale was laying the groundwork for his new class series: The Way of Abundance and Power. Out with the old, in with the new. Times were rapidly changing. A day or so later.......some corps were dissenting. They strongly believed that Dr. Wierwille's vision of "word over the world" was NOT complete. These murmuring reached martindale's ears in a hurry........and those corps [2 or 3 couples] were purged. Dropped from Active Corps. Door slam !! Message Received: You always know who rules over you by observing who it is that you are not allowed to question. From my standpoint..........I had a full plate of responsibilities as a Limb Coordinator at the time and faxes pouring in daily. If someone wanted to tweak the "mission statement" of twi, then so be it. To me, it was martindale's attempt to polish the old marketing slogan with something else to make it shine. No reason to bunch my boxer shorts.
  13. The answer to your question.........it can be deduced by the application of Occam's razor. Once martindale pontificated that "word over the world" was complete.......he was exterminating the language and administration (wierwille's) of the past and ushering in the new "man of god and from on high." No longer would there be WOW Ambassadors.....and the Rock of Ages was closing shop, too. By the mid-1990s.......old wierwille tapes or music tapes were deemed "old wineskins" and could get you possessed!!! Martindale mandated that the Way Household be SANCTIFIED. Way Disciples were enlightened with the present truth. Way Corps were taught The Way of Abundance and Power......heightened spirituality from the older version. Martindale, the doofus from Okieland, simply attached "Way" to "Disciples"...........duh. He wanted to distance himself from wierwille's terms and old wineskins. Surely, it wouldn't be right to call them "Disciples of Christ"........that description was already taken. And besides, you can't build a cult following by adhering to what other church denominations are doing. But, my friend........Occam's razor clarifies to us that the simplest solution is the right solution to the question. Everything in wierwille's path was to be built on the foundation of the WAY.........not the Bible, not the Scriptures. The Way. A term that held a double-meaning. A deceptive and obscure meaning to a narcissist. Wierwille skewered Kenyon's material on "The Way" and built his organization (pyramid) with just enough scripture verses to conceal his intended agenda, a jaded way. And, the WAY corps.......indoctrinating the youth into an army of zealots and strict loyalists to twi-servitude, not God. Heck, throw in Way Builders......whydon'tcha. LOL. Or, Way Productions. Now, maybe......all this stuff was just a marketing scheme to differentiate his organization for the surrounding churches. Could be. But looking back at all this......I see a serial plagiarist, predator and false teacher with ulterior motives. The whole damn thing went belly-up shortly after the false teacher left the scene, feet first. And again, Occam's razor......the Scriptures indeed describe the seductive attributes of a seducer and false prophet. Wierwille fits that description.
  14. According to OldSkool...........JYDL went to Montana. I suspect this is retribution (punishment)......dealt out by rosa-lie. From this early report, I have no idea if this is a Region or Limb or Branch assignment......but am inclined to think that it's a State Coordinator assignment and highly doubt that it's big enough for a paid position. If Jean-Yves and Michele have to go out and get secular employment, then they are in store for a rude awakening. Life has indeed changed since they were tucked away for 31 years in a cult compound. Maybe, rosa-lie wanted to send them close to the Canadian border and see if they'd just say, "Forget them"......and bolt into the Land of the North? But whatever the case........no one is sent to M-O-N-T-A-N-A.....and later, becomes a serious "player" for the cult.
  15. Doesn't matter what he said......Rosalie's eels wrote the generic claptrap. Rosalie wanted a PUBLIC CONFESSION of his "guilt"........for all to hear. "Failed his mission"..........what is this crap? Movie: Mission Impossible? Yet, she stayed behind the curtains.........hiding in the shadows.
  16. The dirty, little secret that long-standing corps do NOT want to admit....... The "red thread" that runs through this corps posturing, hypocrisy and drivel....... Older Corps, with no marketable or tangible skills, are........UNEMPLOYABLE. Arrogant corps leaders would NEVER find another job where fawning followers would obey their every command. Unemployable --- in the sense of, finding a substantial career move away from twi with adulation for who they were. Corps who went in-residence at age 20-24 and stayed faithful 12-15 yrs to twi, spent their youth in church/cult world. The vast majority of corps in this swath of life......did NOT further their education or marketable skill sets. Unless one became a salesperson or self-employed..........the pay scale (to raise a family) was rather bleak. The smart ones.......like Lonnell J0hnson (5th corps) exited early and went forward to further his education (Phd). The musicians and orchestra.......at least, had been honing their skills during their tenure in the cult. Others........ushered at meetings or sat on their butt. Examples of this? Sure, let's look at L. Craig Martindale. He boasted that he could get a job with any Fortune 500 Company. On several corps meetings, lcm confronted the corps on one level and then, boasted that he could be hired into any executive position in the country. Well, after martindale was ousted by twi's lawyers for sexual predation.......what happened? Leaving in the dead of night, no forwarding address, no public announcement or farewell......martindale re-surfaced in Toledo, Ohio. He got a part-time job at Bally's fitness center.......and later, a low-level job at a UPS hub center. Other clergy, who left during those turbulent 1986/1987 years............sold fish from a small ice truck (traveling their circuit of customers). They did this for several years UNTIL a better job came along or they attended night school and found better, gainful employment. Harve Plat!g was twi's vice-president around 2002-2004 (?)......and he exited. Where? To a job as a mid-manager in debt collection. John Anthony Rupp put his resume' on a public forum in February 2016. Obviously, he was "fishing" for a better opportunity. Rupp's resume' his leadership position in a "national/international company" and plenty of fluffy stuff. No bites. No offers. Rupp was resigned to stay in the cult. There are low-level, starting jobs everywhere.........but a 40 year old corps grad (with wife and kids) finds it gut-wrenching to admit he "wasted" years of his youth. In my opinion.... there are many who HANG ONTO TWI-NOSTALGIA because it feeds their need for self-importance or those years of adulation. Now, consider a 55-65 year old corps grad.......who just exited twi in 2017. No home. No equity. No social or community standing. Very little retirement savings or investment. Hundreds of corps leaving twi and disillusioned. What now? They need to face reality......and re-build. But wait......a new splinter leader arises from the ashes and gives them "hope." Rather than face reality head-on.......it's more soothing to cleave to the nostalgia of the past (embrace the new splinter). New splinter leaders get INSTANT gratification. Position. Perks. Privilege. Payment. The 62 year old corps grad gets to teach once every 3-months for 25 minutes to the new group......yah. Newfound self-importance. (sigh) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter....... The strong, independent, educated person.......has plenty of options. You see, he NEVER went into the corps where the undertow carried him far from shore. Perhaps, he/she took pfal and then moved on......no big deal. Life is full of classes and detours. The justification for higher education opens all kinds of pathways, opportunities, advancements, family choices, wealth and security. A life fulfilled. The follower, dependent on twi.........is led down a path of servitude. He goes into the corps indoctrination program as wierwille admonished. He is scolded for not being fully-committed. He avoids higher education or opportunities that require night school or weekend training. Forty (40) years later, he finds that everything he was led to believe is a lie. The ministry is in shambles. His life is in shambles. What now? He is unemployable.
  17. April 2000...........Twenty (20) years ago, martindale made his public announcement of a "one-time affair" (cough, cough)..... Although martindale thought he could salvage his status and position......he was going down. Rosalie had known about craig's sexual predation for many years according to a court deposition. Yet, all those years........Rosalie did NOT warn or expose this disgusting evil. Six months later.....September 2000 and the fox was in the henhouse (sitting in the prez chair). Doesn't anyone do RESEARCH in that place?...........Hint: research this link Shumate Today......20 years later, she still sits in a position to control others. The cult is abysmal and running on fumes......yet, indoctrination and guilt ensue that 15% of earnings MUST be sent into the cult vortex to appease "the gods." Yeah, lower case....."gods" of darkness. With some $68 million hoarded away......what's another million or two raked away year after year. Rosalie, Donna, Bill and John are low-life, pond dwellers in Podunk, Ohio that are grifters and hypocrites. They have their reward as they walk the halls of the OSC and are greeted with adulation by "servants of the household." What a farce. Why wasn't Bill Greene installed as twi's 5th president? Why wasn't John Anthony Rupp chosen? Remember the guy who put his resume' out there on a public forum, February 2016.....looking for ANOTHER job? Yep, that's right. John was trying to find employment elsewhere. LOL
  18. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. And, the March 2017 letter continues....... ~~~~~~~~~~ "The fruit of our current leadership for the past decade has become increasingly apparent. In the past 10 years we have lost over 150 Way Corps ministers. Combined with continuing small in-residence Corps classes, the overall Way Corps numbers are in a sharp decline. The number of new graduates who stand following completion of classes is dropping. Because qualified Advanced Class candidate numbers have dropped so low, there is no longer a need to do a class every year. There has been a steady decrease in the number of believers seeking employment at The Way International and there is a high turnover rate. Attendance at Sunday Teaching Services at The Way International Headquarters and at on-the-field phone hookups is consistently low. The Way International has a book value of all assets over $68 million, however believers often pay a facility fee to meet as a State or Branch, or they meet in only “budget” or “free” spaces. There are less and less full time ministers on the field and in many Regions only one full time couple in the entire Region. This inequality is non-Biblical and begs the question of how the abundant sharing is utilized. There is no transparency. (II Corinthians 8:14) There is continued mistreatment of long-standing, faithful believers and leadership. Without dialogue and nothing resembling I Timothy 5:19-21, numerous ministers—including seasoned Officers, Region coordinators, State coordinators, Branch coordinators, and others on Headquarters Staff—have been abruptly removed, mishandled, and in several cases barred from fellowship. This is inexcusable. The Board of Directors have refused to dialogue regarding the Biblical confrontation for which they were rebuked on August 12, 2016. The attached letters were sent asking for representatives to meet with the Board of Directors and later to attend the Region coordinator’s meetings so concerns could be effectually represented. The only option given was meeting with one couple at a time, not in a suggested Acts 15-type leadership meeting. The Board of Directors continue to move ahead unrepentant. These are factual indications of their fruit. Additional questions need to be asked....." ~~~~~~~~~~~ Since 2007........150 corps had exited abandoned twi. [2007 - 2017] How many more since this letter have left or been mark/avoid? Another 120? And, at the time of this letter..........Bobby Moynihan and other corps leaders (cough, cough) want to "re-engage" with corps who left? What? Convince them against their OWN conscience? What the hell? .
  19. Whatever the "cult board" is doing....... Whatever the past board of "trustees" ever did...... ......in all my years, the "board of hypocrisy" exploited the followers.... ......never saw vpw or lcm do any knowledge or power manifestations. ......none. All of this is nothing more than manufactured spirituality.
  20. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Rev. Rosalie F. Rivenbark, Chairman Rev. Vern Edwards Rev. Bill Greene Rev. John Rupp Three years ago, Rev. Jean-Yves DeLisle was installed as president of The Way International. Now, he has been replaced. What I find interesting is that Rosalie had 28 years to observe and mentor Jean-Yves before his nomination/installation into this position......yet, in three short years, he is purged. How does this work? Rosalie is the "Chairman of the Board"......while holding the vice president position? From its January 2017 inception, all this sounded like little more than misdirection. Rosalie Fox Rivenbark Shumate .......her name is aligned with deception, power and control. Apparently, from reports......JYDL was "spineless with others." Translation: Jean-Yves was too lenient with way corps. You see, The Way International has built their endeavor on a two-tier system: 1) Be gracious and "loving" to the newbies and to those at the Sunday Teaching Service or other public gatherings and 2) Be strict, demanding and unbending to corps standards. Rosalie wanted/wants someone else to do her bidding.....someone else to crack the whip on the slaves. The corps are required to follow twi-servitude for the rest of their lives. No debt. No equity. No ease of retirement. At age 81, Rosalie is still "working".........why shouldn't all the rest of the corps? The Way International has always operated on A Series of Purges .......so it really is no surprise that Jean-Yves was purged from the board of misdirectors. So, where did he go? Did he swap places with Vern.....and is now a State Coordinator? Surely, Rosalie gave him some paid position. Otherwise, it might be hard for the Canadian, with a cult-resume' of 28 years, to find any meaningful work position in the months ahead. Again, none of this is surprising. All you have to do is look at that March 2017 Letter. .........a letter signed by Moynihans, Forts, Horneys, Fredericks, etc. .........a letter that ensured many would be mark and avoid. March 2017 Dear beloved Way Corps ministers, God’s abundant blessings, mercy, and peace be unto you. As Way Corps ministers, we have been and continue to be deeply concerned with the direction our beloved ministry has taken. This is why we persist in sounding the alarm. We wholeheartedly desire revival and restoration for our ministry of Biblical research, teaching, and fellowship. The entire Way Corps household should realize the need to restore this ministry back to the heart and Biblical truths as initiated by our Founder, Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille. He earned respect many times over by teaching the greatness of God’s Word, leading from the front, and cultivating individual believer’s long suits. He did not ask others to do what he had not done many times himself. This respect cannot simply be transferred. Those succeeding in the same position must earn respect themselves. This involves leading from the front rather than pushing from behind. We remain firm in our requests to bring our ministry back to "It Is Written," so the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, starting with: Lift the non-Biblical “no debt” policy that excludes classes and service to those in debt. Rather, continue to teach God’s will of living within our means, working heartily as unto the Lord, and sharing of our abundance. Eliminate the “absolute” power of the current self-appointed board. Replace it with a larger elected board with established term limits and input from the entire Way Corps household. Bring The Way Corps meetings back to their roots to include spiritually energized, in-depth teachings of God’s Word with an emphasis on scope and a word-by-word study of the scripture. Redesign Sunday Teaching Services with an energized service and teachers that motivate and inspire believing. Stream the teachings—we have the fiber optic cable already in place to do so. “Spiritual weakness and inability is caused by improper diet and neglect of the Word.” --VPW Rethink how Way Corps assignments and placements are handled. Post open positions. Way Corps assignments should be in conjunction with each Way Corps minister, ensuring these decisions really are “best for the individual” and then the ministry by having open discussions and transparent motives. Reestablish the Word living within a base of youth to lead us into the next generation, or the ministry will not survive. Reenergize their participation by respecting their needs for “Hot Bible,” musical alternatives, listening for and seeking their input, and honoring their desire for fellowship with one another. Reestablish a research team. This is vital to restore the foundation of our ministry to the integrity of the Word. Reach out to re-engage Way Corps ministers who have been dropped or have discontinued their Way Corps service due to their conscience based on the Word, family needs, health or other issues. ....................[snip] And now..........Vern sits in the hot seat.
  21. So......by 1971, the summer school involved live music, dances, pizza. burgers and beer. That's the way to get the youngsters on board....... Letters VPW wrote
  22. Maybe I will. Vern's brother is here in Indiana..........he and his wife, 11th corps, exited twi about 20 years ago. Who knows? Perhaps, that open letter to JYDL did some good.....and exposed some evil?
  23. Here is another reference to summer school. Adding more info here........so that, it documents how SUMMER SCHOOL was utilized to bring the youth into wierwille's ministry......cult. Twi Began Its Independent Undertaking - December 19, 1957
  24. Yeah......there seems to be plenty of evidence that twi's summer school was funneling them into the vortex. And.......summer school was prevalent in the early 1970s. TWI 1, 2 and 3 .
  25. By 1970, 1971.............the corps program provided the ultimate environment..... Isolation.........2-year in-residence program with an interim year Immersion......No t.v., no newspapers, no outside influence Indoctrination......Full-on unbridled adulation of DR. wierwille Idolization.......training up "Timothys" to follow wierwille-doctrine The corps program was a cloning factory. We had morning classes. Afternoon work/classes. Night classes. Weekend classes. Regular work assignments. Branch work assignments. Work projects on weekends. Extra-work if wierwille was coming to the campus. Fire drills. Red alerts. Roll call. One had to go thru *switchboard* to get a phone line to the outside world. Were we monitored? Hell yes. Summer School was NO LONGER NEEDED.
