I agree. And.....my money is on Rosalie staying prez another TEN YEARS. She played second fiddle for many years and knows that it ain't nothing like being IN the spotlight.

In two or three words.. why are you here. (existence, not GS)

Why do people in the Way lie so easily to people outside the Way?

Another title for wierwille.......the father of lies. Uh, maybe not.....that title is already taken. -
Thanks, Sunesis. Several other points converge as well......by 1986, when Geer read that poop paper, the allegations raised plenty of suspicion and confusion. Plus, for wannabe splinter leaders, the "exit door" opened wide for a mass exodus.....and thousands were conditioned to seek another mog to guide them. By then (1987)......most of these guys were 35 to 45 years old with wife and children in tow. They NEEDED jobs, but not something at the entry level. Having spent the past 15 years in the twi-cult world, those clergy titles didn't translate into professional skills at a corporate level. Sliding into the 'big chair' was the obvious transition. Region guys had the greatest access to names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.....sitting there like a duck.

That elusive number, 100,000 grads of the pfal class, is like nailing jello to the way tree. Even from a personal vantage point, I noticed that some grads totally dropped out of sight immediately after sitting thru the class. Twi spent more time looking at roa numbers. In the early 80s, the numbers kept swelling and the challenges food warehousing, freezer storage, tent capacity, seating, etc. kept the roa department on their toes. The 1984 roa was the largest on record -- near 24,000.

The difference is...... After LCM graduated from the 2nd corps, he was consistently assigned to hq-staff positions....ie corps director, president-elect, president. At NO interval was LCM sent on the field to run a Limb or Region (maybe Oklahoma, for a short year, ??)....to make his mark (mark off territory) and establish a loyal following like the other splinter guys. Shr0yer...........Florida/Ohio S33d..............California Lynn..............Indiana Finnig@n..........New York C@rr..............New York Geer..............New England area/International S@nn..............Montana/Idaho Many of the splinter guys were Region guys who simply STAYED IN THE REGIONS after Geer's poop paper hit the toilet. No stress, so strain......these guys just assumed "the top position" of new structures, new splinter groups. LCM had NO "base camp" to return to.......he was NEVER on the field in any major position of authority. In many ways, he was an exception to the rule......most all other 'leaders' were sent on field assignments throughout their twi tenure.

Actually......mommy is rich. During those prohibition days (1920-1933), her family had ties into bootlegging and socked away lots of money. Later, they invested heavily into the liquor business...... Anyone ever notice how the "kinda-wealthy" folks in twi hung together. Rosalie and her money.... Moneyhands and their money.... MacDxffie and her money..... Fred3ricks and their money....

Speaking of ordinations.... When someone was ordained in twi, he/she received that emblematic ordination desk plaque with the person's engraved name. Before sealing the top corps seal (apostles/prophets/evangelists/pastors/teachers pentagon)......salt from the salt covenant was poured into the center. Anyways......wierwille and/or martindale stated that these emblematic plaques were to be returned to hq AND PUBLICALLY DISPLAYED when twi clergy died. Has anyone seen these displayed at hq?

Oh, no........the dreaded branch coordinator assignment. And, toledo...no less. That's more than the "kiss of death"......it's a knee in the groin before the kiss.

Officially, the final count going WOW that year came closer to 2,750.... Amazing....the 4,000 number still sticks today, because that was what vpw waa "believing" for the 40th anniversary wave. When twi can boast numbers, they boast....when numbers are pathetic, twi hides them. Imagine the headlines of The Way Magazine: 7 CORPS GRADUATE FROM THE WAY INTERNATIONAL'S CORPS PROGRAM. See how ridiculous that sounds when honesty prevails?

I've posted some of this before, but here goes.... Yes, wierwille received that 'twig hopper' at the 40th anniversary -- Oct. 1982. Around March/April/May of 1983, wierwille wrecked it while traveling in Ontario, Canada. Under the cover of darkness and complete secrecy......the twig hopper was hauled back to Ohio and the flight services guys were assigned to the task. A special paint booth structure was erected in the OSC warehouse. Working late into the wee hours for two or three nights, the 'special task force' reattached side lights, replaced front fender, gas tank repair, new decals and pin striping after the primer and finish coats were dry. The twig hopper was, then, entered into several bike shows and won awards for its meticulous details. And....with wierwille having his eye removed in 1984(?), he no longer had the depth perception to safely be riding a motorcycle. Understandably, vpw lost interest and moved onto other things.

Some Twig Coordinators from years gone by.....would call that an insult. Think about it.... Twi has many staff workers in their 60's who are stuck on staying. Twi desperately NEEDS staff and can't find new hires. Twi has trouble getting the auditorium 30% filled on sundays. Twi had 69 adv class grads / 7 corps grads......dismal numbers. This trend is ONLY going to downward spiral and they KNOW it. The gig is over. The con no longer works. The internet is exposing all their dirty laundry. The ONLY 'success' that twi's board of directors can secretly embrace is their $54 MILLION property/investments. And, that 'success' was on the backs of thousands who left twi many years ago.
-
Silly me.....of course, there is no BUILDING anything at twi. The place is stagnant and maintenance is the ongoing order of the day. Keep it up, Rosalie. At this rate, twi will be able to serve meals in the BRC basement again for all staff soon.
-
Here's the deal..... Twi takes that stewardship principle to the nth degree s-t-r-e-c-h-i-n-g every dollar, greasing every fitting, maintenance work on every trailer unit, black-topping roads, etc. BUT......when it comes to stewarding the lives of staff/corps [the doulos slave teachings], The Way International is a dismal failure. Truth be told, when it comes to that adage of "People are to be loved, things are to be used".....twi LOVES their property and the money it represents, not people. Staffers are sacked like garbage.
-
What next?.........Way Builders? Ya know, the economy just ain't what it used to be and lots of companies are needing to downsize these days. Besides, with twi's abs shrinking....its time to cut staff and squirrel-hole that $54 million and 'believe God.' Low man on the totem pole goes first. Landscaping --- check. Housekeeping -- check. Way Builders -- check. How about Guest Housing? Does twi have 'guests' overnight anymore? <_<

On another thread, I reviewed that $29,000 paid advertisement with spokesman Terry Bradshaw and the blathering of Rosalie.....John Rupp......Harve Platig.....Jean-Yves DeLisle....and the fake 'research department' staged portrayal. Embarrassing and phoney come to mind in describing the pathetic attempt. Someone.....please turn off the lights at twi. Reminds me of those Ernest Angley services that we used to laugh at decades ago.....Click here Don't the board of directors LISTEN to the feedback that their Sunday services are B-O-R-I-N-G when the 'teacher' reads the script? Or, do the bobble-headed staff just nod in agreement before scurrying back to their trailers to drink Boones Farm wine? Plastic smiles are in fashion. Script-reading is synonymous with 'walking by the spirit.' And, regurgitating the blue book is heralded as 'biblical research'.......ya know, re-searching the truths to make them your own. That 1970's movie, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was on tv a couple of days ago, and I couldn't help but snicker at the rules in the mental institution and Nurse Ratchet [a ratchet is a tool that only allows movement in one direction]. Well, welcome to The Way International.....no walking by the spirit is, technically, allowed. In the end, only Chief Bromdan escapes and heads out to freedom. Someone.....please turn off the lights at twi. <_<

In the early 1980's.....when I listened intently to the ordination issue, and was ordained, the central message was one who exemplified the attributes of I Timothy 3. The office of one's ordination was charged [throughout the book of Timothy] to teach right doctrine, to war a good warfare, to take care of the widows, to not be deceived by the riches of this world, to uphold moderation and consistent vigilance. Ordination was the public recognition of one's commitment before God after having been selected by the elders of the church to this high honor of service.

Of course it will be the droning of "spiritual growth"......what else could be their drawing card to cornfield ohio? The country smell? The chirping of crickets? The minimum wage with no potential for advancedment, yet working with really fun people? Learning to channel the spirit of wierwille? Only the super-naive or extremely desparate will go clean their toilets. But their promos for the mass majority...."that dog no longer will hunt." :B)

Yes......9 corps graduated in the First Way Corps Program. NO SURPRISE......twi's culture of corruption and exploitation has been totally exposed. How many of the 3,000 corps grads would actually promote such a scenario to their kids in today's twi? Remember Howard Allen's warning of TRESPASSING AND LEGAL ACTION to Bo Reah@rd when the First Corps Reunion was celebrating their 25th year in Ohio and wanted to swing by headquarters? And,.....remember wierwille's promises to the corps household concerning the Corps Chalet? Whenever corps were passing thru Ohio...they could spend the night in one of those corps-tels and eat in the lunchroom and hang out for a day or two? Yeah, riiiiight. After wierwille spent a couple of months in the Corps Chalet, he and mrs. moved back to his house by the fountain. The promise died......wierwille lied. <_<

Long gone are the days when 325 corps graduated per year from Emporia and an additional 125 or more from the Indiana Campus. What gives, Rosalie? Are you micro-managing the whole thing to a slow death? In corporate USA.....you, Rosalie, are a flunky. From a corporate standpoint.... 1) What is the overall cost to keep the corps program? 2) What is the performance of the salaried corps coordinators and personnel? 3) What is the cost per student ratio in this training per year? 4) Is the corps program a wise use of abundant sharing monies? 5) Not fashion or renown, not wealthy patronage and rich ($54 million) estate can crown the way corps with light and make it truly great.......revision of adapted corps poem

Twi is endanger of losing the perception battle. ....twi is perceived as the 'spiritual epicenter of the world' amongst their followers. ....twi is perceived as being the place where the highly spiritual among them work. Twi is approaching a tipping point where the organization becomes irrevelant. As vacancies in staff increase, even the 'suites' will question, "What the he!! is wrong with this place that no one wants to come work here?" Less people, less sunday tape subscriptions, less corps program participation.....splat like cow dung on a flat rock.
-
Sounds like a cotton plantation in the deep South..... All those comfy desk jobs are taken....legal, finance, purchasing, trunk, way pub, etc. and they like the way their bread is buttered.
-
BINGO. This has been documented many times on GS.

Around 1985 or thereabouts, someone guess-timated that 100,000 students had sat through wierwille's pfal class. And, now.....25 years later, I wonder "How are those green card benefits working out for you? Bold claim.......Separates truth from error Bold claim.......How to pray effectually Bold claim.......Keys to unlock scriptural truths Bold claim.......The more abundant life that God promised Bold claim.......More harmony in the home There were more 'benefits'.....but I digress. Like many, I at one time considered plaf (the wonder class) as THE foundational class to best help guide anyone searching for truth. The focus on the manifestations of holy spirit provided a whole new avenue in my journey to walk in God's power. And yet..... These past 15 years, (since 1995) I have been stepping back and asking myself other questions outside the twi pail. Other books, other viewpoints, other websites......and now, the pfal class seems like a fragmented version of private interpretation and MLM marketing gimmicks. When wierwille traveled around visiting WOWs......didn't he see those wow familes who were living on a rag-tag existence? Didn't he see the broken, rusted, leaking vehicles returning to rock of ages after a year of wow service? Did anyone see the mog turn five loaves of bread and two fish into an abundant feast that fed thousands? Just when you needed the power the most, was it there? Did unknown sources bring food to your door after your heart-felt prayer to God....like George Mueller's orphanage? Does twi stand as a testament to stedfast support for elderly staff like the Catholic Church? Or does twi discard these long-standing staffers after their productive years are drawing to a close? Does 'the law of believing' triumph over the law of love? And, what about the 'more harmony in the home' benefit on the green card? Personally, I know dozens and dozens of corps who have divorced since 1985. In fact, many have given detailed accounts of twi's divisive nature on marriage....when one spouse is having doubts about their twi-involvement. More commitment to twi, maybe....but NOT 'more harmony.' My arse. If 100,000 former pfal students were polled today, what would they say............NOW? :o
