  1. Ding, ding, ding......we have a WINNER!
  2. And......after years of sitting thru various Advanced Classes, WHY weren't we seeing any dynamic revelation or power manifested by wierwille and top brass? WHY were all wierwille's "stories" back in the 1940s and 1950s all dusty and crusted over? WHERE was the power of God in wierwille's life TODAY? The MOG tag was ringing hollow.
  3. Yes......different as day and night. The Amish desire to retain their integrity, heritage, parental values, work ethic, quality workmanship, and church/community involvement for the betterment of society. In contrast, twi is deceptively engaged in recruiting allegiance/money TO their organization, dismantling family/church and community values, transforming one's individuality towards the chains of groupthink and groupwalk......in the end, its a destruction similar to "steal, kill, and destroy."
  4. Now.....being far removed from the wierwille-idolatry daily presentation, the guy was a narcissist of the first order. Wierwille was an arrogant blow-hard and incessant liar who plagairized wholesale content. He will be rewarded (cough, cough) accordingly....and will inherit the dust of the wind. Like any abuser, wierwille knew how to read people, push buttons, and manipulate to the max behind closed doors. From public view, wierwille had built an inner circle of yes-men and bodyguards who would jump at his every command. In my opinion, wierwille attempted to make the whole corps in the image of himself......BUT corps and clergy started revolting around 1978. Here on GS, I've documented many of these claims as Limb coordinators and Clergy exited "the man of God." And, then.....corps meetings started including verbal assaults on the character of the corps, the salt commitment, the allegiance to twi, etc. All of this stuff PRECEDED martindale's ascent to the throne......but few ever come forward to document this. When all else failed.....the last trick in the deck for wierwille was, "You break my heart when you don't stand on the Word." Yeah, riiiight. Now, I believe.....THOSE WHO LEFT WERE STANDING ON THE WORD TO LEAVE TWI.
  5. Yeah.....I took a direct assault from two Region Coordinators with Martindale calling the shots from afar. When my wife and I refused to cowtow to their demands, they M&A us and rushed to our city for damage control. The next corps meeting, Martindale went on a rant to destroy our good reputation....of which, months later, many corps told us that they didn't believe those lies for one second. After Martindale was ousted in 2000, we received more phone calls from others who were exiting. It definitely was a tough few months to get our bearings and move forward, but when Waydale surfaced.....it was a Godsend. Thanks to all who've encouraged us thru the years.
  6. She may have nothing ON them.....but what she could do TO them is frightening. The cult leader can call a staff meeting and orchestrate a character-assassination in full public display. Twist a few details, insert a few suspicions, add some backroom confrontations, and stir in possession....and that cabinet-guy could be packing within the hour. The power to manipulate and control and destroy people is a "power to be feared." They know what rosalie could do. They saw what wierwille and martindale did. Full-faithed allegiance to twi is the playbook. And anyone hanging around for decades knows the game.
  7. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Independence from ivory-towered religiosity, too.
  8. Except for pfal.....when did wierwille ever bring up MEMBERS IN PARTICULAR? What's the point of this scripture? Isn't everyone UNIQUELY PLACED in the body of Christ? That's why all the tree-jargon......twig, branch, limb, trunk.......was BOGUS. The Way logo is scripturally-bogus. The way homes were monitoring centers. The Way was, and is, womb to groom to tomb..........slug-thru-life socialism.
  9. The following quote got me to thinking about the demise of twi. "There is no rational reason why a small republican experiment in 1776 grew to dominate global culture and society -- except that America is the only nation, past or present, that put trust in the individual rather than in the state and its elite bureaucracy. Such confidence in the average free citizen made America absolutely exceptional -- something we should remember more than ever on this Fourth of July." 1) The elitism in Wierwille's twi suppressed and oppressed? 2) The twi bureaucracy overshadowed any trust in the individual? 3) "Spiritual freedom" in twi........was NO LONGER freedom. 4) And.....circling the drain twi went.
  10. Seems to me that the executive branch in the beltway is a religion unto itself. Kinda funny to see the left fumble all over themselves in this bin Laden episode. One could easily make the case that had it not been for the right wing "religion" on this war on terror......the cia intelligence aparatus, the navy seals, and the defense capabilities would have been too diminished to pull this off in Abbottobad, Pakistan. Extremes on the right and left are ideologies unto themselves. Didn't we learn something about EXTREMES in twi? /sarc
  11. Well.....it might be relative to the U.S. guvmint... ....but if I were borrowing $18.80 a minute on my mortgage, I seriously doubt that I'd ever get my mortgage paid off in full.
  12. Don't know.... But I've read where the U.S. is borrowing $188 Million.......A MINUTE.
  13. When people throw the TRILLION dollar number around.... THIS is what it looks like. ONE TRILLION DOLLARS :o :o :o One hundred dollar bills......1/2 thick = $10,000 $100 bills in small grocery bag.......$1,000,000 10 pallets of $100 bills..............One Billion Double-stacked pallets covering about the size of a football field.......One Trillion National Debt is $14.3 Trillion..........and counting. Is it time to get SERIOUS.........??
  14. Hey, John Lynn..... I know you probably won't see this post.....since you dissed Greasespot and its posters a few years ago. But really......YOU ARE A LITTLE LATE TO THE PARTY. We've covered the COUNTERFEIT TEACHING OF VICTOR PAUL WIERWILLE (aka "the law of believing) from like 50 different angles. Many of us have commented on the devil's handywork and the whole shebang in pfal. Yep, this "law of believing" mirrors VOODOO. But John.....your idol-worship of wierwille kept you from seeing these truths. Your arrogance was/is so thick that I sometimes wonder if you ever stop looking at your self-serving image. No matter....its your life. Had you joined in the conversations here at Greasespot some 6 years ago, you'd be so much FURTHER ALONG in understanding some of these truths. But then again, you won't have the satisfaction of thinking that you'd uncovered this "gold nugget." And, if you're trying to reinvent yourself again......it ain't working.
  15. No, I'm no psychologist.....just an avid observer of human behavior. And, reading thru the Lured thread, I again see, ANOTHER PERSON striving to cope with past experiences and trauma. Perhaps, I too was more deeply affected than I possibly care to admit. The indoctrination, the bullying, the repetition, the confrontations, the stress......took their toll, especially for those of us who stayed "in the belly of the beast" for 10+ years. No two people had the SAME experience in twi. Depending on numerous factors, one could "breeze" thru with some laughs and prayers.......OR be the victim of sexual predation from wierwille and company. I do know that the corps program put me on a path of accelerated indoctrination! But as many have pointed out.......the seeds of seduction and indoctrination were planted in pfal. From the onset, wierwille was sowing seeds of discontent and division. Remember, "stand on this word".....and don't let your FAMILY, FRIENDS OR CO-WORKERS talk you out of it. Put away ALL your other material.....and spend the NEXT THREE MONTHS on the pfal material. Yeah....it WAS psychological trauma. Psychological trauma is a type of damage to the psyche that occurs as a result of a traumatic event. When that trauma leads to posttraumatic stress disorder, damage may involve physical changes inside the brain and to brain chemistry, which changes the person's response to future stress. A traumatic event involves a single experience, or an enduring or repeating event or events, that completely overwhelm the individual's ability to cope or integrate the ideas and emotions involved with that experience. The sense of being overwhelmed can be delayed by weeks, years or even decades, as the person struggles to cope with the immediate circumstances. Psychological trauma can lead to serious long-term negative consequences that are often overlooked even by mental health professionals: "If clinicians fail to look through a trauma lens and to conceptualize client problems as related possibly to current or past trauma, they may fail to see that trauma victims, young and old, organize much of their lives around repetitive patterns of reliving and warding off traumatic memories, reminders, and affects."[1] Trauma can be caused by a wide variety of events, but there are a few common aspects. There is frequently a violation of the person's familiar ideas about the world and of their human rights, putting the person in a state of extreme confusion and insecurity. This is also seen when people or institutions, depended on for survival, violate or betray or disillusion the person in some unforeseen way.[2] Psychological trauma may accompany physical trauma or exist independently of it. Typical causes and dangers of psychological trauma are sexual abuse, bullying, domestic violence, indoctrination,... When you think about it, nearly everything in twi lead towards instability, insecurity and dependence. Twi's classes and programs were more important that your education, job, family, church, etc..........it was all, or nothing, always! How many of us left twi......BROKE? How many of us left twi......ABANDONED? How many of us left twi......TO START AGAIN? Books have been written, some are blogging and posting........and lurkers come to GS. Are they too traumatized to post? I don't know. Hopefully, all who come to GS are encouraged and uplifted by our posts. May your wine glass be always full. :) .
  16. Why did I take "THE CLASS?" Reflecting back on decisions made is a daunting task. Several years ago, I tackled this introspection and came forward with this explanation......and started a thread. Transition and Transference I will forever be thankful for The Cafe and all who patronize this establishment with thought-provoking conversations and empathetic ears. Thanks. .
  17. Bless Patrol........in The Way International. Courtesy Patrol.....in Columbus, Georgia. Two senior non-commissioned officers will start making the rounds. Although they will have no real authority, the Courtesy Patrol will monitor and make their presence known. From the hours 10pm - 3am, this extra security will help. All those shifts of Bless Patrol and I never saw anything except the movement of the stars. But hey.......at least, I wasn't sitting in another boring meeting. Courtesy Patrol
  18. Who decides the ultimate "balance of nature" as programs are implemented worldwide? The controversy rages on as the Bureau of Land Management pushes programs concerning the Wild Mustang Round-ups that many deem unnecessary, cruel, and wasteful. Wolf Conservation Groups are in heated confrontations from ranchers whose livestock is killed by the wolves. Last week, the head of White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Cass Sunstein (regulatory czar) was called before Congress to testify of the $30 Million catfish program. Disputes are rising as one species is consuming another. Achieving "balance" seems to be at the core of these controversies......and, probably, always will.
  19. Broken Arrow.....your statement, "Until mankind can just do the right thing without it having to be defined down to the last little detail we're going to be stuck on about everything."....is the crux of the issue. If someone, or global council is going to push for "animals have rights, bugs have rights, plants have rights".....then, I believe, that doctrine needs to be specifically defined. Limits are good. Boundaries are good. Definitions are good. When I went pheasant hunting in my youth, in the 60's.....the state law defined the length of the hunting season, the parameters of hunting pheasant, AND the daily limit per bird. Game wardens were known to patrol the areas and offenders were fined with stiff penalties. Any avid sportsman knew the difference between the cocks and hens....and would only shoot at the cocks. Shooting the hens was illegal. By the mid-80's......my Dad would buy and raise 1,000 pheasant and 1,000 quail each season to rehabitate the environment. No government agency compensated him for this expense. No environmental group paid him for hundreds of hours of service each season to raise and turn these birds loose to the wild. My Dad did it, because of his love and respect for nature. Each state specifies the hunting seasons for......pheasant, grouse, duck, geese, turkey, deer, elk, alligator, etc. Specifying what is legal and/or illegal is good. In humanity, I would like to believe that the vast majority uphold the law. But then, there has always been that 8% or 12% who, left unrestrained, will be overtaken by exploitation and greed. We've all seen the documentaries of poachers who've slaughtered elephants and rhinos for their ivory and leaving carcases behind. The laws are for the lawless.....for those who have no restraint. In a moral society, one can testify to the goodness of mankind. Even in Japan, after the earthquake/tsunami.... there has been very little looting and exploiting the system reported. Sure, it'd be great to live on this planet where people just did the right thing. But some won't. But.....dictating that all bugs and plants have "rights" is a whole new issue. The distinction between LIMITS and RIGHTS is worlds apart. Heck, even in humanity, society is still tackling the issue of "human rights".....the "right" to advanced education, the "right" to affordable housing, the "right" to own a home. Can our court system handle the onslaught of the "bug world having rights?" :)
  20. Not sure how many there really are of "we".......those who see wierwille as a fraud. Offshoots everywhere STILL hold to the wierwille mystique and doctrine. Geer praises him.... Lynn praises him..... CFF praises him...... dozens of others!! Wierwille was subtle enough to NEVER get caught, or imprisoned. He went to his grave and his enablers and handlers want the control/money to keep flowing. How many really have CONNECTED THE DOTS OF THE INDOCTRINATION? Very few.
  21. The rulers of the darkness of this world......Eph. 6:12
  22. The Ministry of Mother Earth must encompass energy sources. One quarter of the world's coal reserves are found within the United States, and the energy content of the nation's coal resources exceeds that of all the world's known recoverable oil. Alternative energy sources (solar, wind, electric) are being developed in this changing would. Although the U.S. government is standing in opposition to substantive oil drilling and new oil refineries, the U.S. controlled bank is financing Columbia on the second largest project it has ever undertaken. $2.84 Billion Loan for Oil Refinery -- in Columbia
  23. It really does become overwhelming to even consider an ombudsman overseeing "the ministry of mother earth".......doesn't it. How many levels of bureaucracy would it take to oversee the millions and billions of plants, insects, fish, mammals, etc. Even in the depths of the ocean, scientists are still discovering new species. There are some 12,000 different types of ants. What if one type was devouring another and driving them to extinction? Should african ants habitat africa only? Who decides the levels? the parameters? the policies?....what if scientific data of one country contradict another countries' data? Would there be an "ant czar"......? Would there be a "spider czar"....? Would there be a "monkey czar"....? Could man ever possibly govern mother earth to a better outcome?
