  1. In OSC lecture room.....replay old wierwille teachings continuously on weekends. And, puppy kennels.....$1,000 - German short-hair retriever puppies
  2. The Way International is in the final stages of transitioning to "The Victor Paul Wierwille Memorial Museum." With each passing year, the mission statement of twi comes more clearly into focus: to preserve and promote the life, the quest and the legacy of Dr. Wierwille for all generations. Those who visit will find an exciting adventure in learning as they take the shuttle west on Wierwille Road as the old Wierwille Homestead comes into view. Many of us, especially corps, are already familiar with this tour. We've heard about the wierwille barn and the "upper room" loft where summer students slept. On Tuesday night, many of us attended "Aunt Sevilla's Twig" in New Knoxville and listened to her childhood memories and helping young victor. And, many have heard about the strip-bark used to erect the "House of His Healing Presence" and the serene and holy peace in the Way Woods. You see......this tour, and legacy of wierwille, has been in the making for decades. As more way corps realize the cloak of idolatry wrapped around twi's shoulders.....the quicker this memorial museum will become evident. After all, aren't the sunday service teachings merely a formality rather than genuine inspiration of heralded scripture? Visitors come to walk in the Victor Paul Wierwille Prevailing Word Auditorium and embrace the legacy once more. The ushers smile, the bookstore sales personnel are ready to assist, the Wierwille statute is on prominent display.....and wierwille is immortalized. Mrs. Wierwille's book, Born Again to Serve, was designed as a coffee-table book. Yes, have this large book displayed in the open for all who visit your home. Twi wants you to help sell the legacy. Surely, you have it on your coffee table, don't you? You see, tithes and offerings sent to twi's hq are NOT going to further the outreach of God's Word, nor help the community, nor feed the poor, nor bring others to Christ. Nope. Twi is solely designed to showcase the life and legacy of its founder. Long gone are the days when twi spouted, "The life of the ministry is in the twig." Those snappy little one-liners and outreach programs have long faded into the sunset of the preservation society. The last man standing, the only man standing in twi......is the man who so deeply loved "his kids." While hundreds and hundreds of corps and clergy deserted him....in the end, Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille ran his course in life, faithful to the end. And, now folks...on this tour, you are entering the Founders' Room of the auditorium where, we have displayed, notable men who were instrumental in (blah, blah, blah)...... <_< .
  3. WW.......yeah, I remember that. But the problem with that approach, I could have posted 40 "stories" in every category except the 1953-1966. It just didn't seem feasible to me. I still like the thread approach....where subjects are highlighted. But obviously, it does get confusing unless the poster qualifies their statement. Generic comments add very little without qualifying specifics. Although, it is perfectly understandable in a discussion forum to see this. Of course, funny comments are always welcome too.
  4. That's funny....... Or, when someone would post about "the good ole days"......all the variables were a moving target. So, going to a twig and smoking pot was "freedom?" The next person could talk about flying on Ambassador One or enjoying Living Victoriously and meeting international students from around the world. Then, another talks about the new Geer-splinter group and it "feels just like twi."
  5. socks......those 10-year increment stages would give more clarity and focus to our discussions. I've long held the view that all of us saw vastly different versions of twi......thus, broad generalizations only muddy the waters. Stage 1 1957-1968.....vpw taught live pfal classes, newsletters, loosely-connected, brc built in 1962, very little momentum, wierwille set up diamond club (75-tithe faithfully), camper trailer, speakers invited to twi, pfal filmed Stage 2 1968-1978.....vpw selected few to run pfal, small pockets of outreach (CA, NC, KS, OH, NY), summer camps, hippies, wow amb, starts corps program, numbers grow, twig structure, music groups, 5 corps campuses established, motorcoaches/planes, PFAL '77, Stage 3 1979-1989.....major events besides ROA --AC '79, LV '82, SO '84, WIB -east/west, LCM -prez 1982, vpw dies 1985, splintering, Geer's POP paper, JAL splits, Gartmore trips, mass exodus, confusion/distrust, "fog years" underway Stage 4 1990-2000.....LCM asserts twi, loyalty letter, twi fractures more, twi rebuilds, sanctified, homo/debt purges, sell Emporia campus, RC campus sold, roa ends 1995, all active corps full-time, WAP series videotaped 1996-98, 2 lawsuits--lcm, small exodus, prez ousted Stage 5 2001-2011.....Rosalie is twi-prez, corps teach WAP classes live, small disciple groups, corps program anemic, sunday teachings read, WayGB patrols wierwille Rd, twi draws inward, stops release of information, lights dimmed,......zzzzzzzzzzzz These 5 stages would help to establish the wide swaths of variables that all of us experienced. Some of us experienced two (or three) of these "stages." And, even with this clarification.....there are plenty of other variables that could be added to the mix. In conclusion, with different backgrounds, leadership, emotional attachments, etc. all of us could probably write a book.
  6. This process has been visible for a long, long time. Peter J. W@de was mentioned in wierwille's pfal class.......yet, he abandoned the twi-ship in the early '70s. Old-timer staffers started heading for the exit doors.......around 1978, 1979. Word in Culture and ROA Believers' "Display Tent" was shut down in 1980. Clergy Household was splintering even before martindale received mantle from wierwille in 1982. IMO......martindale was still pushing outreach, of which, much was probably self-serving. But rosalie is there to manage the money, manage the decline. She controls the purse strings. Less people, less headaches. She will go to her grave living the wierwille legend in her mind.
  7. Yeah....DeLisle is rosie's little lapdog. Good to have close by, though. So....who is being groomed? Inquisitive minds are speculating..
  8. .....that was funny and so true. Who IS next in line? And, don't tell me M!ttler or DeL!lse.....
  9. So, you're saying that rosalie wanted to send you and your family down to Dayton? Seems like Dayton is a "death sentence" for higher-ups?.....close enough to hq to limit relocation expenses, close enough to keep an eye on any rumblings or murmurings, and yet obviously a demotion. Seems to me Br@d Th0rpe and family were sent there....BEFORE THEY EXITED.
  10. What???.....getting shipped out is a demotion, isn't it? Did he do something wrong that irritated 'the queen'......or just a reshuffling to keep 'em all off-balance?
  11. And today......how many twiers are WAITING for things to change once Rivenbark is gone? And, if John Rupp gets the big chair.......how many will be WAITING for him to be gone?
  12. Happy Groundhog Day everyone! Especially to our GS-denizen squirrel... :)
  13. On the other hand.....maybe this stuff IS encroaching Honor Killings in Canada -- Click Here .
  14. For those of you who missed the activity of Waydale........imo, it was ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC. Some of us had been posting on trancenet before Waydale rocketed to the forefront. Day after day, night after night.... the fireworks of conversation that many had held in for decades came forth EXPLODING INTO THE NIGHT SKY. For me, it was hard to even go to bed, because so much conversation kept buzzing thru the night. Lots of corps grads who had left with the mass exodus in 1987 started telling their experiences. Some of the heavy-hitters talked about board meetings and insider stuff. International corps came onboard and gave their experiences of the Gartmore Inrez corps program that Geer had run....yeah, the bully antics and all. Splinter groups selling their jingle. Amazing people with deep, intellectual knowledge added prudence and wit on every turn. Advanced class grads who had been suppressed by corps leadership for years deservedly lashed out at corps "nazis"..... Thousands of threads!!!! P@ul and F#rn All#n, wherever you are.......a warm-hearted toast in your honor
  15. Not sure about the "afraid of everything"...... But I have heard people mention that Shariah Law stuff......1)women have to wear burkas, 2)male dominant culture, 3)women can't drive vehicles, 4)honor killings, etc.......those sort of things. Whether Shariah Law ever would come to America....dunno .
  16. From my experience, I held more confidence in field leadership who were daily involved in the lives of "everyday people" rather than fawning staffers whose job description was to support wierwille. Like someone once said about D. Dunc@n's comment about vpw...."He started believing his own PR releases." With each passing year, wierwille's twi was strengthening their CENTRAL COMMAND HQ....and Region/Limb/Branch leaders were study group coordinators for the "mighty teachings and wisdom that came down from on high" (cough, cough). And, for all twi's bloviating of the nine manifestations......Why didn't the "man of God" lead by example???? Remember the hype? Wierwille's teachings were going to back down devil spirits! Way Productions' music was so powerful that people would be delivered? Walking the very grounds of headquarters was healing? REALLY?? The absurdity of it all. Twi's "beltway" was buying into the BS.......and it was being repeated over and over again. IMO.....field leadership had the PULSE OF THE PEOPLE. IMO.....field leadership saw the hypocrisy notching up. IMO.....wierwille knew he needed to re-indoctrinate. Just a thought.......Wouldn't a genuine leader go to his leadership and DEMONSTRATE THE POWER OF GOD FOR ALL TO SEE?
  17. I gave wierwille's "snow on the gas pumps revelation" very little credibility....just sorta scoffed it off. When it was repeated to us inrez.....I doubted it even more. To me, it just didn't fit with a God-like revelation.....would God really audibly say that?? ...."I will teach you the Word like it hasn't been known since the first century if you'll teach it to others." Too contrived, too rehearsed...........THAT is what I thought (and I was inresidence at the time). Yet, I stayed in twi because of the "research" as Jesus Christ Our Passover and Jesus Christ Our Promised Seed were on the horizon soon and would focus on my lord and savior. Regrettably, I kept thinking twi would MOVE BEYOND WIERWILLE. I know, I know......silly me. <_< .
  18. In January 1999, thirteen years ago.......P@ul and F#rn All#n were sent packing from hq staff positions. P@ul was extremely talented in computers/websites and was working alongside then-Sec/Treasurer John Reyn0lds to setup twi's website. Well, that was.....UNTIL P@ul found out that sexual predator martinfail's habits that involved Paul's wife. Late one evening, when Paul uncovered this....he demanded to meet with martindale face-to-face. In a heated confrontation in martindale's office, with reynolds, rivenbark AND l!nder (brandishing a gun).....Paul DEMANDED martindale's resignation!! DEMANDED IT! Yet, the weasels at the trustee level stood by their man, martindale. And, of course, L!nder "escorted" Paul back to Founders Hall where husband/wife were to ordered to pack their bags, etc. L!nder would NOT allow them to speak to anyone, nor allow any staffer to talk to them. Character assassinations were dished out to the lunchtime staffers. Same spiel, same tactics......and braindead staffers eat the poison with nary a question to ponder. The "never murmur against the mog" doctrine has been deeply rooted since pfal. BUT THIS TIME........twi messed with the wrong guy! He had a voice in his "vest pocket" that twi could never have imagined. Paul was ready, willing and determined to show the world the despicable inner-world of TWI. And, twi will never recover from it. The result of this confrontation? ....... Waydale The result of two years of Waydale? .....GreaseSpot Cafe If this is greasespot-living, THANK GOD I LEFT.
  19. Twi's gossipers and busy-bodies will only whisper about you and your family until the NEXT TARGET comes along. Believe me, you will drop off the radar when the NEXT dissenter is then targeted. Although twi never had much of a perch to stand on......today, its far worse. Now, they don't even attempt to project christian values or ethics. Today, twi is geared to managing the corporate investments and assets. The wierwille cash cow is sacred....but they don't like you kicking over a bucket of milk either.
  20. During my twi-tenure, I think this "character assassination twi-style" numbered into the HUNDREDS. After all, what does it really take to tweak, smudge, smear, belittle, dismiss, divert, distract, lie or engage in all-out assault on one's character and reputation? What about "that scholar and theologian across the English Channel" that wierwille said in pfal he wouldn't waste his time on him? What about all those men wierwille plagiarized from.....yet, where "they were off the word" wierwille had to separate himself? What about wierwille's Van Wert church board and pastorate that had wierwille's name removed from their clergy registry? What about those New Knoxville townsfolk who remembered wierwille in a very unfavorable light during his younger days? What about those corps night meetings when wierwille labeled someone possessed? Was he? Was she? What if he, the man, actually was trying to warn the corps about wierwille's predation? What if she, the woman, had been raped by wierwille? How else could she ever fight back? Perhaps, "she did yell and scream at wierwille"......what did WIERWILLE do to incur this fury? If a person is violated.....doesn't he/she have the RIGHT to fight back? Everyone who has ever left twi had THE RIGHT to walk away. Period. In twi....we were living in a wilderness with hungry bears. In twi....you didn't have to outrun the bears, just outrun slower runners. .
  21. For those who many not know.......there were plenty of good men and women in the 4th corps. Several were involved in Way Productions and some were serving in administrative positions at hq. I believe D0nna M. was a graduate of the 4th corps, as well. So, when wierwille had that "re-education camp at hq"......he wasn't targeting the hq folk. Wierwille was "re-calling" FIELD LEADERSHIP.... those who were far away and "spreading their wings" sorta speak. Did vp think they were going to fly away? You know.......its one thing to go thru an inrez program and, then, take yearly field assignments for twi. But to be re-called back into a boot-camp scenario?......really? The condescension was so thick around hq, you could cut it with a knife. Did wierwille really think he could brow-beat these people into submission? These corps grads were NOT the property of twi! Year after year, individual sovereignty was stripped away as twi encroached on one's personal boundaries. No, these 4th corps grads did NOT have to accept wierwille's "invite" (command).....but then, how do they say "no thanks" and stay clear of wierwille's ire? It was manipulation....straight up! St#ve S@nn could smell it and he didn't like it at all. Several years later (1986).......Rev. S@nn was walking twi grounds with Rev. BG Leonard.
  22. In a nutshell.....I think that I'm starting to understand your deep thankfulness for the twi-organization. Personally, I never came to twi from that perspective. I was looking for a Father-son relationship with God, not "a 12-step program of distancing past addictive habits and a change of lifestyle." But...good for you, john.
  23. Clarification......"this 4th corps group 'invited' to hq" numbered around 18-20 or so. I believe that there were approximately 45 men and women who graduated from the 4th corps.....and 75 graduated 5th corps. The 6th corps was when the numbers really started escalating. Maybe someone will post more exact numbers.....but that's what I remember.
  24. Perhaps.....all different offshoots views "premium on commitment" differently. If someone tithes faithfully to an offshoot, then the "entry level" is met. So, if a husband and wife make a combined yearly income of $60,000........perhaps, that offshoot guy is happy to accept their $6,000 and push no more. Plus, if said person offers their home for fellowships, leadership meetings, events, classes.....that's "commitment" as well. And, if they bring a co-worker to fellowship every third year....it speaks of outreach. The reason I visit GreaseSpot is to share my experiences in a cult. In this regard, it is my intent to help dismantle twi's manipulation and exploitation of others. How others choose to guage their commitment is not really my concern. I suppose it could easily be said......those who compare themselves among themselves are not wise. .
